I never liked the Phantom Beasts. And, I don't know if you have noticed, but "Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts" is different in the games. Like in Nightmare Troubadour, it was just a normal card with it's effect and all, but in WC2008 ( World Championship 2008 ), they consider it as a Phantom Beast and the few Phantom Beast cards have that in their text.

Question: Is "Gazelle, the King of Mythical Beasts" a Phantom Beast or not?

If it had 2850+ ATK and was immune to monster effects I'd consider running it.

Half Dragon + Half Tree = Treegon?

EDIT: I wouldn't run it, though, because it's too weak. Even if you did Special Summon it, it would probably get destroyed by battle or by a card effect.

This is off topic, but I'll answer it anyway:

Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts is called "Illusion Beast King Gazelle" in Japan and Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast is called "Winged Illusion Beast Chimera". I figure the Phantom Beasts are called Illusion Beasts in Japan. Here's why:

This supposedly is Illusion Beast King Gazelle in Kanji: 幻獣王ガゼル

This is Phantom Beast Rock-Lizard in Kanji: 幻獣ロックリザード

This is Winged Illusion Beast Chimera in Kanji: 有翼幻獣キマイラ

The 幻獣 is common in the Kanji of the 6 Illusion Beasts,so I assume that means Illusion Beast, based on the position of the Kanji symbols. In conclusion:

Yes, Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts and Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast are "Phantom Beast" monsters. They can errata Chimera to say that, but they can't errata Gazelle to say that in the real life card game, so all cards that deal with a Phantom Beast monster say a "Phantom Beast" monster or "Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts" or other similar phrase.

Now on topic, Phantom Dragon is sucky. It has as much playability as Cyber Dinosaur, if that much. Can you even have 2 Phantom Dragons out at a time?

Please stay on topic. And you can post that under questions.
