CrabHelmet
It's a shame, considering that Toon Table of Contents is one of the strongest pieces of archetype support ever created, that Toons as a whole are just plain bad. Them premise alone is fairly awful - they can't attack the turn they are Summoned, several require Life Point payments to attack, and they rely fairly heavily (half need it to use their direct attack effect, and the other half need it to be used at all) on a Continuous Spell that costs 1000 Life Points to activate, has no effect, and kills all of their own monsters when destroyed, and the prize is simply the ability to attack directly and the replacement of Tribute Summons with Special Summons that still require Tributes - so maybe their abandonment could be justified as loss-cutting, but I'd still prefer to see themes like Toons and Phantom Beasts receive support than be tossed aside in favour of Arcana Force monsters or the Duel Terminal archetypes. SephirothKirby
I think that they should realize they made them bad, and just release a whole bunch of awesome support. A new Toon World, with some sort of protection. I would personally like to see Toon Dark Armed Dragon, or Toon Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the End. With less devastating effects, obviously. Kinda like what they did with Spirits, except Spirits need a little more of a boost.

CrabHelmet
They still see some use in the "toonzodia" decks that were in vogue on this site for a while. Three TTOC and one or two BETD do not a Toon deck make.
GenzoTheHarpist
Well some builds used Ryu Ran as well, I think the highest was when Saiyan Knight used something like 9 "toon" cards which at the very least is heavily toon inspired if not a strict toon deck. Ryu-Ran? The Level 7 FIRE wall? I do seem to remember one with loads of Dragons based around the draw card whose name as slipped my mind, but I didn't remember that it ran nine Toons. GenzoTheHarpist
I mean Manga Ryu Ran. I think you;re thinking of Super Rejuvination. Yeah, it ran nine Toons: 3x TToC, 3x BETD, 3x MRR.
The Warden
hmmm, i find it sad that toons were never given a chance. unfortunatly, support for toons came in the anime, i wonder if that brings a better chance if they became real? but,t oons SS tributes is good, as tokens count to the fusion, which does help i guess, since they work with scapegoat. Tabris
They could've focused on Class C Toons, or at least thrown more support on Class B Toons. But meh. They preferred it as is - unsalvageable janky bullshit.

tonisanoob
a book of life for toons, a toon zombiemaster, that special summons toonsa self replacing feildcard toon world, for starters woudl help.
Chevalier
Phantom Beasts Had some seriously epic art. TTC is still used for deck-thinning and was/is a very good card.Having all those costs just because they could attack directly isn't very appropriate, and it would be nice to see some support, doubtful as that is. .:pyramid:.
the only toons worth running are the spellcaster ones, i tried a deck that combined secret village and toon world, it worked okay but it wouldn't do well past local level. ~/Coolio Prime\~
Konami always tries not to OP archetypes/subs too much and as a result we get shitty 3-10 card archetypes that are barely playable. Every now and then they release a totally pimp archetype, but usually by total accident.

Brentxbanshee
Hmm I agree mostly, but I think toon dark magician girl is good, I mean say you running a dark magician deck and none of them are dead addleast you could have a 2000 direct attacker. Besides 1000 lifepoints isint that much get a dian keto. I think they can be fun but worthy of a tourny hardley.
