The person who possibly made the virus wanted to make people to fear or support him. It has happened before' date=' but I wouldn't know. So far, no one knows who it is, but they found 200 leads. Since the virus came from 200 possible sources.

Well...there could be a problem with that. It could be a 'mask virus' (I do not know the real term for it), which would mean there would be 2 viruses while the antivirus stops only one of them (the weak one). If its possible it would have two stages:

 

Stage 1: corrups, change/deletes all files on the infected computer which will basically do nothing bad unless you have really important files.

 

Stage 2: The virus will go into the computer and either cause minor-temporary damage or severe-permanent damage depending on what is the computer type is.

 

I don't know if it does exactly this. I don't have the virus nor do I know what it does. Its just my opinion.

Yeah? Then don't make stuff up if you don't even know what it does. Not all viruses do that. We're talking about a worm here. A damn worm.

 

This worm apparently takes advantage of a exploit in the network configurations of the Windows platform, up until Windows Vista. It installs and activates itself the moment you run it, either through the autorun on USB drives or other means. It then tries to spread itself to the other computers connected, silently. When it's time to go to the next stage, it contacts the original creator for instructions.

 

How much of that did you understand? If you don't P2P, or connect to other computers, your a lot more safe off than somebody who does.

I c so im in the clear then....but y target small local computers?

 

1) For fun.

2) To increase the statistics of the affected.

3) Maybe to steal account information, credit card numbers, etc. (Possible, but not always.)

4) So the users can spread it to others, and keep it alive.

5) Most employees use their USB drive and bring it to work, so that's also a way to get into a company, indirectly.

Aren't you only allowed to have one Exp. Share in the newer versions of Pokemon? If your using the older versions, dupe that too.

Yea I know about the exp. share, but I get most of them from my old games.
