so far, this is the best counter fairy build ive been able to produce. i gave up half the original counter fairies, implemented a tradein draw engine with 10 targets to help with dead draws and slow hands, theres a hecatrice and 3 valhallas to get 28 fairies out quickly, with enough counter traps left in it to foil a dad summon or screw with a synchro.

the guardians, in addition to being level 8's for tradein and light monsters for honest, special summon very quickly, as the balance of this deck usually leaves with me a starting hand or at least an eventual line up of something akin to: valhalla, 2 random fairies, and a guardian.

valhalla specials one, the other is normal'd and out comes guardian of order.

vanity is a tough one to have stuck in my hand, but with some help from gellenduo or some specialed monsters via valhalla or athena, i can get this thing out and shut down most meta game. if all else fails, its a target for trade in and discard fodder for divine wrath, though i usually hold on to it for its potential.

last but not least, my favorite fairy short of splendid rapist, honest. single handedly this mess of an overpowered card has won many a match for me.

 

theres always room for improvement though, so how do you guys think i can make this better?

dont forget venus.

van dalgyon is a tough call. it supports the tradein draw engine, and it works on the counter traps.

however, i feel that ultimately, its not being a fairy limits it too much. it doesnt get support from valhalla, athena, gellenduo, and its actually nerfed by venus. its also dark, which makes honest hate him. just doesnt fit well enough.

 

i dont need the field card. gellenduo's un-killed-by-battle-ability lets him stay on the field, and i make sure to shift my playing style to ensure that nothing else weak enough (like bountiful) is left in attack or such stuff.

given the number of 2sacs, gellenduo rarely stays on the field for long anyway.

that being said, sanc doesnt protect me from burn damage, so barring piercing, that really covers the bases.

theres just no room for more spells.
