~UNHOLY_PHOENIX~
Wow...that's a toughy...um...Maybe?? I mean, it really depends on the situation. The guilty could be going to hell, in which case no. The innocent may want to reach heavn for whatever reason, so in that case yes. but, since that isn't the question, my answer is: Yes. ragnarok1945
if they're all serial killers, then I probably wouldn't. Now, if they're all arrested for armed robbery or something (but no one was hurt and killed), I might think differently

Saturn of Elemia
It depends on the people being saved. One life in exchange for lives of many, to some, would seem like a no-brainer. If it were a child, it would be a tough callIf it were an adult, then they would PROBABLY understand and accept it
Mr. Judgment Dragon
There's a saying called "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the 1". That isn't the case here. Guilty people are guilty. Not worth saving IMO.

Guilty people are guilty. Not worth saving IMO. Depends on the extent of their guilt. If it's OMG UNFORGIVEABLE guilty, then HELL NOIf it's a minor (and I mean MINOR thing) and if this action can help, then why not?

In the military, I doubt anyone would since they've all be drilled with the "if 1 life has to be sacrificed in order for the mission to succeed, then that's the way it has to be" concept

In the military, I doubt anyone would since they've all be drilled with the "if 1 life has to be sacrificed in order for the mission to succeed, then that's the way it has to be" concept Sadly, that is true. Most wouldn't do it - which is why I capped PROBABLY.

Saturn of Elemia
for most who aren't in the military' date=' I doubt most would sacrifice their life to save 1 million guilty people[/quote'] Moral issues can also come into play (as you brought up with me earlier over MSN). How a person is raised can affect this - especially if religious beliefs are involved.
