What a legend? My GOSH! Everybody is making too big a deal over what Heath Ledger has done. Just because he played a great Joker doesn't mean he's a "LEGEND". It's really sad that he died. I feel so sorry for his daughter. Come on though. The only memorable performances he has had are a gay cowboy and a psychotic clown.

MY GOSH!!!! WILL EVERYBODY PLEASE STOP SAYING THE JOKER? I really don't get why anyone would vote for a psychotic clown!!!! (No Offense). Geese. Be Original. Thank You to all who were original and didn't vote for the Joker.

1) No. People just like the Joker that much.

2) Because he pulls off the role of a psychotic clown so darn well.

3) The people who picked the Joker aren't picking him just to fit in. They're picking him because they believe he's the best.

4) What, do you, like, hate the Joker or something?

4) I choozes Joker.

I know. I just think that people overrate his success. The only MAJOR films wer Brokeback Mountain and Batman: The Dark Knight. We're getting off topic. If you didn't check out who I voted for' date=' it was Poison Ivy.

I've never seen the Dark Knight, and I picked the Joker. :( Also, I really like all the villains that I know of, but I just like the Joker a bit more. He's hilarious. ^_^

and, @I marluxia I: Epic win.

He was okay in that movie. Actually, the Dark Knight was much better. Also, the 1989 one wasn't the real Joker. He was just some guy who liked jokes and killed people. The Dark Knight one was a realy psychopath. Also, the only reason I was scolding people was due to my hatred of a blowout poll.

You shouldn't scold people for enjoying Joker due his performance in the Dark Knight. Sure' date=' it's nothing compared to the one in the 1990's cartoon, but it was still good.

You liked him better in the 1990s cartoon? His character in the Dark Knight is far better.

If by "1990s cartoon," you mean Batman: The Animated Series where he's voiced by Mark Hamill, then dream on. Heath may have been awesome, but IMO, there really has been no better Joker than the animated one voiced by Hamill.

Jack just had this laugh which sent tingles down your Spine! Also the Make-up was fantastic for the day really Portraying what the Joker is like. Sure he was based off the more Joking type of Joker (Killing people using Makeup and stuff like that) But he just had this laugh. (Talking to a dead fried corpse "I'm glad you're dead! *Evil Laugh*")

Heath at times felt a little forced, sure he made a fantastic Joker, but some of his laughing seemed very forced. Not to mention the whole Psychotic thing. I prefer the Joker to be about Gags and joking ways to kill his Victims.

Care to explain what times in the Dark Knight it was forced?
