Regardless of what your religion is, or what your beliefs are, there is someone, something, or some idea that you look at as a higher power. A "god" or "goddess"; something of the sort. That god, those gods, goddesses, whatever is believed to have created the world. What if you took a look farther than that? What if that god or goddess was just a piece of the puzzle that is life? What if there was something that actually created that god or goddess? Or would that be going against your religion? After all, believing that their is a power higher than that of your own god(s) and/or goddess(es) would surely be frowned upon. That's just a silly thought. Or is it?

I, Star, present to you a Fan-Fic unlike those you've read before. A Fan-Fic that will blow you away. The first YCM Fan-Fic to have many music inclusions throughout it. Take a journey. Welcome to Yu-Gi-Oh!: Land of Nightmares!

PROLOGUE: The Ruins of Death

Aurora Headquarters - December 28, 2008 - 15:00

A man, looking around age fifty, with short gray hair and glasses, walked up to the door, and scanned his card in the keypad located to the door's right.

"Card Identified. Name: Donald Wasort."

The man put the card in his shirt pocket, which was black like the rest of the suit he was wearing, and walked into the recently open door. No sooner did he enter the room that the door slid shut behind him. There were two men in the room, and they looked up at him immediately as he stepped into the room. One of the men looked young; probably about twenty-eight years old. He had brown hair. It was short, but spiked in the front. The other man was slightly older; more like thirty-two or thirty-three. He too had brown hair, but it was brushed back.

"Bad news", the younger man said. There was a look of fear on his face. It wasn't a fear of the man's reaction, though. It was a fear of something much greater.

The gray-haired man put his head to his hand and wiped the sweat from his forehead. "What were you able to find out?", he replied.

"There are explosives surrounding the entire area. There's so many of them. Even if sent out every soldier we have, we wouldn't have enough people, or time, to remove them all."

"So you're telling me they have the entire building surrounded?"

The thirty-two year old man, who hadn't spoken until this point, stood up from his chair. "Not only do they have the entire building surrounded, each explosive has enough fuel inside of it to destroy everything within a five mile radius."

The gray-haired man's eyes widened in surprise. "Are they asking for something? A ransom? Cards? Anything?"

"They said the only way they'll disarm the explosives is if we bring them a boy by the name of Wing Kashiro."

"A boy? I don't know of anybody named Wing Kashiro", he replied, seemingly confused. "Andal!" The twenty-eight year old man, who was apparently named Andal, stood up.

"Yes, sir?"

"Check the database of the city and see if you can find a boy by the name of Wing Kashiro. Chris, you.."

He was interrupted. The thirty-two year old man stood up. "Hold on! You can't seriously be willing to find this boy and give him up!"

"He's just one person! If that building explodes, hundreds of people will die. Which you rather have? One death, or hundreds of deaths?"

Chris clenched his fists. "Neither."

"No disrespect, sir, but I agree with Chris. I mean, neither result is good, and neither option is fair. I say that we get every d*mn guy we have, arm him, and send him out there, and do all that we can to stop this!", Andal shouted.

"I can't believe the two of you are willing to let hundreds of people die just to save the life of one boy. You don't even know the kid! What's so special about his life?"

"I refuse to let an innocent child die. No matter what the cost."

The gray-haired man pulled a pistol out of his pocket, and shot Andal. Chris, who was in shock from the situation, ran for the gray-haired man, but he too, was shot.

"My job is to protect the city. I can't have people like you, who refuse to see the greater good."

The gray-haired man walked up to Andal and removed his ID Badge from his shirt pocket. As he looked at the card, his eyes widened in surprise once again. The ID Badge read "Andal Kashiro".

Does Chris have some emotional reason for wanting to save Wing as well' date=' or is he just retarded? >_>

[/quote']

Chris has no relation to Wing. I just had Chris say that because it would be "the right thing to do".

Pretty good there Star' date=' pretty intense beginning.

But please, lay off the "...23 Year Old Man..."

It gets annoying telling each persons age.

Just announce their age in their discussions or something.

[/quote']

The reason I announced the ages a lot was because their names hadn't been revealed yet. I didn't want to just start calling people names without having them be introduced through talking.

I'm glad you like it. Hopefully you'll like the first episode.

Episode 1: Destined for Destiny!

[Just a few notes before I begin. Similar to the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Dub, I will give detail for some of the cards that are used. Any details will be in italics and colored blue. I'm hoping that people will like this Fan-Fic, especially because I believe that there is no point in writing a Fan-Fic if you don't have any fans. There will be a Table of Contents in the first post of the thread that provides easy access to any of the episodes.]

DOMINO PARK - NEO DOMINO CITY - 12/28/2008 - 15:30

The cool, refreshing air moved swiftly over the entire area, increasing in force as it continued to move. The sun was halfway between sunrise and sunset. In approximately three hours, the sun would sink into the clouds, and stay there for twelve hours until it rose again.

The park was filled with people - not surprising as it was the middle of the day, and the park was filled more at this time than at any other time during the day. There were people sitting on benches, swings, and even on the grass, just talking with each other, or having a bite to eat. Some people were dueling each other.

Two boys, one rather short with bright blonde hair, and the other short, but slightly taller than his opponent, with dark brown hair were dueling. The duel was nearing a close. The boy with blonde hair smiled as he placed a Summoned Skull monster card onto his duel disk. His opponent frowned in dissapointment as the large white creature blasted him with a bolt of lightning.

"Yay! I win again!", the brown-haired boy shouted.

"Aww, no fair! You always win!", his opponent replied.

There were many duels just like that one, with different cards and people, of course, going on in the park. It was typical. After all, dueling was incredibly popular, especially in Neo Domino City.

You could hear loud noises coming from the Riding Arena, where people would engage in Turbo Duels, riding around a track and dueling on D-Wheels. D-Wheels have been around for about ten years, now. They were like "dueling motorcycles". A duelist would insert his or her duel disk into a slot on the D-Wheel, and their opponent would do the same. The two would then engage in a Turbo Duel. Turbo Duels play differently than regular duels. They involve a Field Spell Card known as Speed World, and counters, known as Speed Counters. Players use Speed Spells instead of regular spells in Turbo Duels. Speed Spells are like Normal Spells, except that they require you to have a certain number of Speed Counters on your Speed World in order to activate them.

A few years ago, Turbo Duels easily defeated Regular Duels in the popularity standings, but now, they were about even. People would do Turbo Duels on the street, and in the Riding Arena. The duels that took place in the Riding Arena were usually Championship Duels, or other important duels.

Today was a bit different from usual days. Out of the ordinary, one might say. Why? It would be no fun to reveal that now, but I will say that it has to do with a duel between two duelists, boys, one of whom was not from Neo Domino City.

The first boy, Taylor, stood the left side of the pond, facing his opponent. He was wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and sneakers. Just a casual outfit. He sported a duel disk very similar to the Battle City Duel Disk. The only difference was that his duel disk had an orange border.

His opponent, Ryan, stood on the right side of the pond. Ryan was wearing an orange t-shirt, and black "swishy" pants. He had blue Converses on. His duel disk just a regular Battle City Duel Disk.

Ryan grinned as he drew his starting hand. "I'll go first", he said with a rather smug look on his face. He drew his sixth card and took a moment to examine the cards in his hand.

Taylor stared at Ryan. He hadn't even known the kid's name until about five minutes ago, when the kid walked up and challenged him to a duel.

Taylor was the quiet type. He was rather shy, and he wasn't a big fan of things like public speaking. He usually kept to himself. He had never met his mom; she passed away when he was two months old. Although, it's unknown how she died. His father didn't know, and neither did he. The one thing Taylor enjoyed more than anything else, was dueling. When it came to dueling, all of his shyness was sucked out of him, and he was full of confidence and excitement. It was his way of escaping reality.

There was one thing that had troubled him since he was old enough to start thinking clearly. He felt out of place in life. It was almost like he was supposed to do something, but he had no clue what it was. His destiny was unclear to him. This feeling contributed to his shyness, and the fact that he kept to himself. He didn't like feeling like an outcast, but he did. He felt like he was different from everybody else for some unknown reason.

Well, whatever. That's enough for now. I don't want to keep you all waiting. I'm sure you're excited to see Taylor in action.

"I hope you're ready, cause I'm gonna bring the pain!", Ryan shouted as he slammed a monster card onto his duel disk. "Say hello to my Hunter Dragon!"

A medium-sized black dragon sporting an assortment of razor-sharp blades, and a pair of bright red wings emerged from a small "portal" of light. The dragon roared, making its presence known.

"Starting with a Normal Monster? That's not a really bright starting move. Speaking of bright, this sun is really getting to me. I wanna get this over with quick so I can go home and rest. I just don't feel right."

"I bet you're pretty intimidated by my Hunter Dragon!", Ryan shouted confidently.

"Yeah, sure, whatever."

Oh, I should mention one more thing. Taylor wasn't intimidated by anything. He wasn't very tough, but he didn't let anything scare him either. Alright, I'll shut up now. Back to the duel.

"Heh, so we're a tough guy, are we? Don't worry, you won't be tough for much longer. Just wait until my dragon slashes your Life Points away!"

"Sigh Whatever you say, dude. Chill out a bit and finish your turn already. This sun is killing me."

Ryan grunted, angry that he was having trouble intimidating Taylor.

"You're lucky I can't attack this turn. Well, since I'm out of options for now, I'll just toss a card face-down and call it a turn."

"Finally. Took him long enough. My go! I'll start by Summoning Marauding Captain in Attack Mode!"

A soldier appeared on the field. He was wearing silver armor over his clothing, and hew as wearing a cape. The cape was red and silver, but the red was facing his back, so it wasn't easy to see. He stood proudly, wielding two swords, one in each hand.

"What an amateur move! Your stupid Captain is short on attack points! He needs at least five hundred more if he wants to destroy my Hunter Dragon!"

"Oh know. Whatever shall I do?", Taylor said sarcastically. "Why don't you calm down a bit and let me finish my move? Now then, when my Marauding Captain is Normal Summoned, its Special Ability activates, allowing me to bring another monster into play."

"That's no fair!"

"Oh, it's quite fair. Allow me to introduce you to my Iron Chain Repairman (1600/1200)!"

A large orc wearing what looked like cut-off overalls held up by chains appeared on the field. In its hands was a giant hammer.

Iron Chain Repairman is a LEVEL 4 Warrior-Type monster of the EARTH Attribute. It has 1600 ATK, and 1200 DEF.

"I bet you feel all happy now that you've got two monsters on the field. Well allow me to be the bearer of bad news. This isn't a numbers game, kid. My dragon is still the strongest creature on the field."

"I'm very well aware of that. But I'm not planning on attacking this turn."

"You're not?"

"Nope. In fact, not attacking will help me more than attacking. Allow me to demonstrate. I activate the Spell Card Poison Chain!"

Chains surrounded by a greenish glow began to surround Ryan and his duel disk.

"What's goin' on?"

"You see, my Poison Chain is going to sting a little. Each time my turn comes to a close, and I didn't declare an attack, you have to send cards from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard equal to the number of Iron Chain monsters I control. I think I'm just about done here."

Ryan cringed in pain as the chains shocked him.

Marshmallon has been sent from the top of Ryan's Deck to the Graveyard.

The chains vanished.

"First a Normal Monster, now Marshmallon? Exactly what kind of Deck is this kid running?"

A look of anger formed on Ryan's face as he drew a card.

"You're gonna pay for that! I'll take your stupid Repairman off the field! Then your Poison Chain won't be able to do any more damage. Before I do, though, I'm going to activate my face-down card! Go, Secrets of the Gallant! With this, when my Hunter Dragon inflicts Battle Damage to you this turn, you have to discard 2 random cards from your hand!"

"Ouch, that one's gonna sting a little.

"Prepare to feel pain! Hunter Dragon, attack his Iron Chain Repairman with Turbulence Blade!"

One of the blades on the dragon's head detached itself and flew toward the orc. Suddenly, Marauding Captain jumped in front of the orc and was hit by the blade.

Taylor's Life Points: 3500

"What just happened? I chose your Repairman as a target, not your stupid little soldier!"

"Sorry, but when Marauding Captain's out, I call the shots! Since my Repairman is a Warrior, you can't attack him as long as my Captain's out. A sacrifice, but a worthy one at that. Thanks to Marauding Captian, my Repairman is safe and sound."

"Your Repairman may be safe, but your hand certainly isn't!"

Taylor randomly selects two of the cards in his hand and sends them to the Graveyard.

Iron Chain Coil and Reckless Greed have been sent from Taylor's hand to the Graveyard.

"So now who's the tough guy?!"

"This idiot is really getting on my nerves. Luckily for me, thanks to his Trap Card, this duel's as good as over."

not a bad episode' date=' a nice amount of description. Not a fan of breaking the 4th wall myself, but that's not my call. Also why do you seperate the pieces into 3 line pieces all the time? Nice episode though, none the less.

[/quote']

What do you mean by seperating the pieces into 3 line pieces?
