Dark
I have a question about Cropping and Resizing. If I took a picture 800 by 800 pixels, which has a boat and a sailor. And I made a new picture 244 by 248 pixels which ONLY has the boat. Is that Cropping, or Resizing? I can explain better, and I can even give an example if need be. Thanks. :D
Luna Lovegood
Cropping, if the boat was that size in the original picture.
Dark
Yes, the boat is still the same size, I just cut off the sailor in the picture. So that is CROPPING, not RESIZING, correct?
Luna Lovegood
Yes. Cropping is when you take a image of say, two people, and cut one of them out. Resizing is when you take that same image, but make it smaller/bigger.
Dark
When you crop something, you cannot crop upwards, correct? Like take a picture 800 by 800, take half of the picture, and enlarge it?
Luna Lovegood
That would be cropping AND resizing. When you crop a image, it gets smaller. ALWAYS.

Cyber Altair
Resizing is changing the size of the image while cropping is cutting out a part of the image. It isn't that hard to figure out >.> Also enlarging the image is as dumb as you can get, it makes the quality like sheet.
