This whole topic became a huge ball of tl;dr a long time ago, but as far as the subtypes go.

 

Nightmares:

Nightmare Counter = New A-Counter. As a set maker, you'd want to give them as much support to get their Counters on quicker, but at the same time, it makes the Normal Spell Nightmare horribly broken. Also, lol @ their tuner and Synchro. Broken.

 

Turbo Wing's:

Other then the gadgets, none of them even seem to work with each other well. Their fusion have an oddness that makes them worse then the sum of their parts.
