ragnarok1945
you know, if he can see the future, he has the power to change it.
Thomas Wolf
Exactly, and that's what makes it interesting that Pagasus would know what he's thinking. That's why I didn't count of them cancling one and other's powers.
ragnarok1945
they're not going to cancel out, but it's going to be a loop First Satorious visions the future, Pegasus sees that. Then Satorious changes his mind and therefore changes the vision, which Pegasus will see also. Still, even if Pegasus could read minds it's not like he'll always have a counter strategy
Thomas Wolf
I know that he wouldn't always have a counter. But just because Sartorious could see what's going to happen, and even change it, doesn't mean he'll ahve the means to turn things in his favor eather. ragnarok1945
also true. But why would Satorious challenge Pegasus in the first place if he could see he'd lose?
Thomas Wolf
And you have to take into consideration with that point that Pagasus created the game, so he'd most likely know the best way to counter Sartorious' Arcana cards. ragnarok1945
being the game creator means nothing. He lost to Yugi even with the help of his eye, and to Mai later on in season
Thomas Wolf
I know he can loose. But, Pagasus did destroy Crawler and what's his name. Granted he played them against one and other. I'm just commenting, you can't comepleatly disregaurd that fact.
ragnarok1945
I'm not disregarding it either. Still, even if Sartorious can see the future, I doubt in reality he could see his defeat
Thomas Wolf
Well if he could, than he would only duel in matches he predicted he would win.
ragnarok1945
I doubt it. Winning all the time is not good for his ego. That's the major flaw with ygo main characters we saw in DM and GX
Thomas Wolf
I know that. But my reason for assuming that is that, he's a power hungary bad guy.
ragnarok1945
yeah but eventually he'd have to take on a tougher opponent without being sure if he could win or not to get more power
Thomas Wolf
Yeah probably. And thinking about it, he'd have to loose afew so people didn't think something was up.
ragnarok1945
exactly. You want to avoid the truth coming out, you have to lose, even if it's on purpose
Wyhe
I know that. But my reason for assuming that is that' date=' he's a power hungary bad guy.[/quote']But Sartoruis is not evil, just being controlled by the Light. He did claim that he lost powers after the whole Light saga.
Thomas Wolf
Yeah I see your point. Put up a good show but "make the wrong move" and loose so no one knows what's really going on.
ragnarok1945
Yeah I see your point. Put up a good show but "make the wrong move" and loose so no one knows what's really going on. That's also going to have to depend on what kind of an opponent you're facing
Thomas Wolf
I know. But I'm assuming he'd try to promote himself as the type to run with anyone so when compleatly blows someone away it's not that odd.
ragnarok1945
he can do that all the time with noobs, but he won't get much power

Skuldur
Sartorious. Nice reasoning. The light would block out Pegasus' powers so it would be a fair duel and Sartorious would win there.
Cin
The major difference between the two is Pegasus can see into the mind there and then, whilst Saiou see's the future through Tarot cards, that's how he knew Edo would face him down. Since the Light Of Destruction detached itself, he mentioned not being able to see the future. Speaking of his duels with Judai, it was namely Neos who did the damage the first time, the second time (after Saiou cheated by placing Arcana Force 0 - The Fool in Judai's deck before the duel without being spotted) E-Hero Neos again. Rag the rod interfered with the future the necklace saw, possibly to get destiny to play out how it should have. (Maybe Seto is not supposed to lose to anyone but Yugi, who knows (I'm well aware he lost to Pegasus, but think about how it developed the relationship between him and Yugi))
ragnarok1945
perhaps. Still Kaiba's win only fed his ego further and making him feel untouchable and denying his past further. If you try using the necklace against the eye, their powers would cancel because only the puzzle's power stands out, the other 6 items' powers are equal. As for Kaiba's loss to Pegasus, back then we didn't even have a clue as to his connection to the ancient past yet.
