ragnarok1945
well first off can Sartorious block Pegasus's eye magic?
Thomas Wolf
For point of this duel no. It's future predicting vs mind reading.
ragnarok1945
The problem is that the destinies of a Millennium Item can be manipulated. This is why during the duel with Ishizu and Kaiba, she couldn't see the very last move Kaiba made, even though her necklace allowed her the see the future. Thus future predicting doesn't work if your opponent has an item too (or ancestor has one). To that end I think the entire duel would end up neither of their powers working and they have to duel fairly (remember Pegasus was only able to read Yugi's mind in DK because he didn't know how the puzzle worked just yet)
Phantom Roxas
Sartorious would trick the eye into seeing the light.
Thomas Wolf
But remember, Sartorious has no item. He can just tell the future.
ragnarok1945
then I guess it's going to have to depend on how strong his will is. I believe if your willpower is enough, you can still block the eye's power.
Thomas Wolf
True. Kinda like when Atem was able to block it out with the help of the others. Like I said, KINA like that.
ragnarok1945
exactly, and back then no one even knew how the puzzle worked. Question is can future prediction be nullified by willpower
Thomas Wolf
How did Jadin overcome Sartorious again? I can't remember. Â But what would be interesting would be that Pagasus, atleast for the first few rounds of the game, could possibly see everything Satorious did, by reading his mind as he's looking to the future.. ragnarok1945
again, that's going to depend on Satorious's willpower. Because obviously he's going to be able to sense Pegasus probing his mind.
Phantom Roxas
Jaden was able to defeat Sartorious with the power of Gary Stu.
Thomas Wolf
True, true. But what would probably happen, how they would write it in the show, is even if Sartorious sensed it, he would be able to block it at first. Unless they where trying to esbalish the strength of Sartoious' powers.
ragnarok1945
well how established are his powers as of right now?
Wyhe
With the magic eye, Pegasus can say any fortune telling things faster than Sartorius here.
ragnarok1945
does it really work that way? It took him a few seconds to see what was in Yugi's hand in DK
Wyhe
Maybe Pegasus can read out what Sartoruis has predicted before he could even say it
ragnarok1945
Yeah, and how will that help him?
Thomas Wolf
Well, if he knew what Sartorious predicted, he could change it.
ragnarok1945
how? Satorious doesn't have an item
Thomas Wolf
What's the item have to do with that? Say Pegasus was going to summon a certain monster and Sartorious saw that. Pegasus would know Sartorious could see that and devise a counter, so he could than change his move based on what Sartorious planned to do from his prediction. Wyhe
how? Satorious doesn't have an itemHe only has a fortune-telling powers, that he would think about...allowing Pegasus to gain before-hand knowledge of things to come.

Thomas Wolf
But, Sartorious' vishions only come when he tries to look into the future. So really the advantage would go to who attempted to use their power second.
ragnarok1945
and when does Satorious use his vision powers?
