Megaworm
I looked around in my pile'o'lol and found a Sinister Serpent. I began pondering why it was banned, but couldn't think of why. A 300 ATK boomerang beatstick that always comes back. So what? can be used for infinite discarding for Lightning Vortex and Dark Core, that's about all i know. Can someone tell me if it is involved with an OTK of some kind, or a religious American trading card debate that prevents it from being played in tournaments due to sexually explicit art or offensive content? Also, runnability in Alien Decks? Yes or no?

Megaworm
A+ topic. Would read again. thanks. now, can Sinister Serpent run well with a Alien Deck? is it involved in an infinite loooooooooooooooooop or a OTK?is the only reason it was banned was because it was a boomerang beatstick that can be used for a free discard? NineteenHundred
The reason why it was banned is because you can Summon it an infinite number of times throughout the game due to it`s built-in revival effect, therefore you can very easily summon high level monsters without having to tribute a lot of monsters. Hope this answers your question. :D

sbdnate
it was banned because it provides easy and infinite discard fodder... much the same reason night assailant was limited...
Lazer Yoshi
^ Said it best. This card was banned, since it was easily revived, and could easily get discarded again. It's kind of a type of Swarm....I think.
Tabris
Infinite discard fodder for ANYTHING. ANYTHING... ... that is why this is banned. Anything else?

Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Think of all the cards that would have to be banned if they lost their discard costs.
Megaworm
hmmmmmm.....any continuous discard-as-a-cost cards that this will affect ultimately? i cant' think of any.
~ P O L A R I S ~
Well, there's Spiritual Energy Settle Machine, but the real point is that it negates alla ur discard costs, which r broke'd.
werewolfjedi
hmmmmmm.....any continuous discard-as-a-cost cards that this will affect ultimately? i cant' think of any. it makes the tricky better cyber because now cyber has the harder to play cost. course, I would run both if I am running them.play cyber, then tricky, then something else...and then I play RA! muhahahahaha. I love it when I screw around with the god cards.
Akira
A card that renders discard costs practically non-existent is horrid for the game.
