Sig Tutorial

Recommended Posts

[align=center]So...here is my tut on how to make a basic siggy.

First off, you need a render. here is the render I used.http://planetrenders.net/renders/displayimage.php?pos=-12863

Well, start off with a black file. I used 400x125.

Next, stick the render on it, on a new layer.

Well, it looks very plain, so I will blur it a few times, then use the filter "liqufy".

Next, use the filter "Blur more" Several Times, and duplicate the layer. On the new layer, use the filter "Mosaic". The cell size should be set to approximately 19. Put the layer on overlay.

On the original render layer, use the filter " Motion Blur" at a 0 degree angle at 124 blur level.

I will put a c4d on it, to make it look a little nicer, on layer mode overlay.

I used this c4d

Well, by now, your focal point is pretty obvious. Paste your render in to place.

Now, you have to blend the render in. With an eraser with at about a 55% Opacity, erase the edges on the left, blending the render with the black. On the left, erase ust the edge of the helmet to blend it with the white.

Now, I want to put another C4D on it. I found a good one here.http://planetrenders.net/renders/displayimage.php?pos=-11099

It looks pretty good on Hard Light.

Now, I will put the same c4d on another place.

Put that on hard light as well, and erase over the focal point.

Look at the sig so far. The first thing you see is the white spot, and you want tnem to look at the render. You can fix this with this C4D.http://planetrenders.net/renders/displayimage.php?pos=-11353

I set iton hard light at 72% opacity, and erased around the render and at the bottom left corner.

It looks ok, but it could use more c4ds or whatever. I will leave that chose up to you. I added text.

You can also make a border by making a new layer, hitting ctrl + a , going to Edit>Outline Selection>Inside. 3 px makes a pretty thick border.
