Evolution

Evolution monsters generate hand advantage and work on attacks. They work in a toolbox fashion with Evolution Hawk, Evolution Parasaurolophus, Active Evolution, and De-Evolution searching for monsters often.

Evolution Sinraptor

Level 4

DARK Attribute

Dinosaur/Effect

When this card attacks a monster, select 1 "Evolution" Spell Card in your Deck and add it to your hand.

 

(Yes, Sinraptor is a real Dinosaur.)

 

Evolution Hawk

1700/1500

Level 4

WIND Attribute

Winged Beast/Effect

When this card attacks a monster, select 1 "Evolution" monster in your Deck and add it to your hand.

 

Active Evolution

Continuous Spell

Once per turn, you can Tribute 1 Dinosaur-type monster to Special Summon 1 Winged Beast-type or Reptile-type monster from your Deck, ignoring the Summoning conditions.

 

De-Evolution

Continuous Spell

Once per turn, you can Tribute 1 Winged Beast-type or 1 Reptile-type monster to Special Summon 1 Dinosaur-type monster from your Deck, ingoring the Summoning conditions.

 

Evolution Lizard

1300/1400

Level 3

WATER Attribute

Reptile/Effect

When a monster is added to your hand, except by drawing, you can Special Summon it. When a Continuous Spell Card is added to your hand, you can activate it and draw 1 card.

 

Evolution Parasauralophus

Dinosaur/Tuner

Discard this card from your Deck to add 1 Level 4 "Evolution" DInosaur-type monster from your Deck to your hand.

 

Evolution Alligator

Reptile/Effect

Discard this card from your Deck to Special Summon 1 "Sin Fragment Token" (DARK/Rock-Type/1600 ATK/0 DEF/Level 2) to your opponent's side of the field in Attack Position. When an "Evolution" monster is added to your hand or Special Summoned from your Deck, reduce the ATK of the "Sin Fragment Token" by 100.

 

Evolution Alioramus

Dinosaur/Effect

This card can attack all monsters on your opponent's side of the field once each. This card can only be destroyed by battle. When this card attacks, reduce this card's DEF by 100 if possible.

FLIP: If this card is destroyed by battle, Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position and increase this card's original ATK by 506.

 

Evolution Parrot

If your opponent activates a Spell Card, you can negate its effect and Special Summon this card in Attack Position from your hand. When this card is Special Summoned, increase this card's orignal ATK by 200. If this card is Special Summoned, this card can attack directly.

When an "Evolution" monster is Special Summoned, draw 1 card.

 

Evolution Avarice

Normal Spell

Send at least 3 "Evolution" monster in your Graveyard to your Deck and shuffle it. Then draw a card for each Evolution monster you sent from the Deck to the Graveyard -1.

 

Evolution Meteor

Quick-Play Spell

Destroy 2 face-up "Evolution" Spell Cards you control. Destroy all cards on the field. You can Special Summon a number of "Evolution" monsters from your Deck or Graveyard equal to the number of "Evolution" monsters in your hand + the number of "Evolution" monsters destroyed by this card's effect.

 

Evolution Opisthocoelicaudia

3000/1800

Level 8

WATER Attribute

Dinosaur/Effect

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except when this card is discarded. Thrice per turn, you can remove from play 1 "Evolution" monster in your Graveyard to add 1 "Evolution" monster from your Deck to your hand. When an "Evolution" monster is removed from play, you can send 1 Continuous Spell Card you control to have this card be treated as a Continuous Spell Card with its effects and add 1 "Evolution" monster you own removed from play to your Deck. (This card is still treated as a monster. If the Continuous Spell Card has "Once per turn" in its card text, replace it with "Thrice per turn".)

I love Active Evolution. Summon a Gilasaurus, bring out EARTHBOUND GOD CCALAIYA!

 

Which can then turn into something else if needed. Although I do think that Hawk could be a bit overused. For example, Ojama Trio. Destroy a token with Hawk, search out another Hawk, attack the new token, and repeat. Use De-Evolution to turn one of the Hawks into Ultimate Tyranno or something.
