lol hand advantage meant nothing back then

 

It kinda did. Think about it. You lose your hand, you lose everything on your field, you are vulnerable to getting hit by something with outrageously high ATK like Chimeratech Overdragon or get swarmed to death by Six Samurai with no way of stopping them. That Deck required careful card management. That Deck was posted pre-Phantom Darkness and post-Gladiator's Assault.
