Here's Chapter 61 everyone. Enjoy.
Yusei rode Akiza back to the rest area and sat her down on the couch.

"Akiza, are you alright?" asked Yusei all worried.

"I'm fine." said Akiza. "I'm just a little light-headed."

"This is my fault." said Yusei. "If you weren't turned into a Dark Signer back then..."

"Yusei, it's not your fault." said Akiza. "They tricked us and hurt us. Nick most of all since they used his family again, but no matter how hard they try to hurt him, he always manages to look past that. You should do the same if you can try."

Yusei pulled himself together.

"You're right." said Yusei calmly.

Everyone then walked in on them. They were asking if she was feeling good, then the announcer came up on the screen.

"Alright!" yelled the announcer. "The last duel wasn't exactly what we hoped, but at least we know she did her very best. Now on to the next match-up. It's Team Satellite's, Rachel Sharpton and Team Ultimate Kingdom's own Kingdom - Jack."

"Well, it's my turn." said Rachel. "I need a moment."

Rachel rushed to the garage and Nick followed after her. When he got to the garage he saw Rachel looking concerned.

"What's the matter?" asked Nick.

"It's just... I asked Akiza to save my sister and look what's happened to her because of that." said Rachel. "It's my fault that she was almost killed."

"Don't say that." said Nick. "Makayla just overpowered her. Also, the way she looked and acted when she was dueling."

Flashback:

("This is the end! Now my great beasts, send that pathetic Signer to the Underworld!" yelled Makayla with a sadistic killing intent look.)

The story continues:

"By the way she looked, it look like she saw Akiza Dueling her, but someone she hates." said Nick. "She's either being controlled, or maybe Power has clouded her mind. Either way, you can do this. I've seen you Duel and you're facing a duelist who's using a Deck you already beat."

"But..." said Rachel.

"How about this, don't win for me, win for your sister." said Nick. "You can do this, Rachel. Just believe."

Rachel looked up at Nick and felt at ease with herself and smiled.

"Alright." said Rachel. "Let's do this!"

She jumped on her Duel Runner, put on her helmet and rode all the way to the track.

"Alright!" yelled the announcer. "Are our Turbo Duelists ready?"

"Duel Mode! Auto-pilot standby! Field Spell "Speed World" & "Speed World 2" set on." said the Duel Runners.

"Ready." said Rachel.

"Ready." said K. Jack.

"Alright!" yelled the announcer. "3...2...1! Riding Duel! Acceleration!"

Let's Ride!

Rachel/ 5 cards/ LP 8000/ SPC: 0

K. Jack/ 5 cards/ LP 8000/ SPC: 0

Field: "Speed World" & "Speed World 2"

Rachel: Turn 1 (SPC: 1)

I draw. I play the Continuous Speed Spell "Speed Spell - Spell Gravity". Now we can activate spell cards without taking damage from "Speed World" and "Speed World 2". Now I summon "Cyber Angel - Hana"(LV4/EARTH/Fairy/Effect/ATK/1350 DEF/1000). I play 2 cards face-down and end my turn.

Rachel/ 2 cards/ LP 8000/ SPC: 1

K. Jack/ 5 cards/ LP 8000/ SPC: 1

Field: "Speed World" & "Speed World 2"

K. Jack: Turn 2 (SPC: 2)

I draw. I summon "Kingdom - Swordsman"(LV3/EARTH/Warrior/Effect/ATK/1500 DEF/500) Now I activate his effect, once per turn, I can Special Summon 1 LV4 or lower "Kingdom" monster from my hand, so I Special Summon "Kingdom - Jester Imposter"(LV2/EARTH/Warrior/Tuner/ATK/800 DEF/800) Now I activate his effect, once per turn, I can Special Summon 1 "Kingdom - Court Jester" from my hand, so I Special Summon another "Kingdom - Jester Imposter"(LV2/EARTH/Warrior/Tuner/ATK/800 DEF/800) (Rachel counters: "Cyber Angel - Hana"(s) effect increases her ATK by 300 for each LV3 or higher monster you control, so she gains 900 ATK. (1350 + 900 = 2250 ATK) Now I play the spell "Double Summon, so I tribute my second "Kingdom - Jester Imposter" to summon "Kingdom - Jack"(LV6/EARTH/Warrior/Effect/ATK/2200 DEF/1400) Now I'm tuning my first "Jester Imposter"(LV2) with my "Kingdom - Jack"(LV6) "To all peasants of this forsaken world, bow before the Ultimate Kingdom! Synchro Summon!" Rule over all! "Kingdom - Emperor"(LV8/EARTH/Warrior/Synchro/Effect/ATK/3000 DEF/1600) Now I activate his effect, if "Kingdom - Jack" was used in his Synchro Summon, once per turn, I can inflict 500 points of damage to you. (Rachel: LP 7500) Now your monsters ATK goes down. (2250 - 300 = 1950 ATK) Now "Kingdom - Emperor" destroy her "Cyber Angel - Hana". (Rachel: LP 6450/ SPC: 1) (Rachel counters: I activate "Cyber Angel - Hana"(s) effect, when she's destroyed by a monster whose level is 3 or higher, I can Special Summon 1 "Cyber Angel" monster whose level is half the level of the attacking monster from my Deck, so I Special Summon "Cyber Angel - Sarah"(LV4/LIGHT/Fairy/Effect/ATK/1500 DEF/1200) and thanks to her effect, she gains 500 ATK for every LV5 or higher monster on the field. (1500 + 500 = 2000 ATK) I play 1 card face-down and end my turn.

Rachel/ 2 cards/ LP 6450/ SPC: 1

K. Jack/ 0 cards/ LP 8000/ SPC: 2

Field: "Speed World" & "Speed World 2"

Rachel: Turn 3 (SPC: 2)

I draw. (Rachel thinks: Yes!) I summon "Cyber Angel - Yumi"(LV3/LIGHT/Fairy/Effect/ATK/1400 DEF/1400) and thanks to her effect, she gains 300 ATK for every LV4 or lower monster you control. (1400 + 300 = 1700 ATK) Now thanks to her other effect, since you control a LV4 or below monster, once per turn, she can attack you directly. Now "Cyber Angel - Yumi" attack him directly. (K. Jack counters: I activate the trap "Appearing Moat", so your Battle Phase ends and I activate "Kingdom - Moat" from my Deck.) I play 1 card face-down and end my turn.

Rachel/ 1 card/ LP 6450/ SPC: 2

K. Jack/ 0 cards/ LP 8000/ SPC: 3

Field: "Speed World" & "Speed World 2"

K. Jack: Turn 4 (SPC: 4)

I draw. I play the spell "Level Draw", when this card is activated, by paying 500 LP (K. Jack: LP 7500) I can choose 1 monster on the field and draw cards equal to half its level, so I choose "Kingdom - Emperor"(LV8), so I draw 4 cards. (K. Jack: Hand: 4) Now I remove the spell "Kingdom Rush!" from my hand and activate its effect, I can activate as many "Kingdom" Continuous Spells from my Deck ignoring the conditions, so I activate "Kingdom - Royal Family", "Kingdom - Guards", "Kingdom - Artillery", and "Kingdom - Castle". Now I activate "Kingdom - Guards"(s) effect, once per turn, I can destroy 1 monster on the field, so say good-bye to your "Cyber Angel - Sarah". (Rachel counters: By discarding "Cyber Angel - Helen"(LV2/LIGHT/Fairy/Tuner/ATK/700 DEF/700) all "Cyber Angel" monsters I control are not destroyed by card effects.) In that case, I summon "Kingdom - Mounted Knight"(LV4/EARTH/Warrior/Effect/ATK/1600 DEF/1200) and when he's Normal Summoned successfully, by paying 1500 LP (K. Jack: LP 6000/ SPC: 3) I can Special Summon 1 "Kingdom" monster from my hand, so I Special Summon "Kingdom - Princess"(LV5/EARTH/Warrior/Effect/ATK/2100 DEF/2100) Now I activate her effect, once per turn, by removing 1 card in my hand from play, I regain half the LP I lost this turn. It's over for you! (Rachel says: I figured you'd do that.) Huh? (Rachel counters: That's why I activate the Counter Trap "Angelic Wave", when this card is activated, I can choose a number of cards you control equal to the number of "Cyber Angel" monsters I control and their effects are negated until the End Phase, so I choose "Kingdom - Princess" and your "Kingdom - Artillery".) NO!! (K. Jack counters: No! I should've activated "Kingdom - Artillery" after I activated "Kingdom Rush!". I would've been done with this peasant sooner.) That still won't save you from my attack. (Rachel says: You may be right, but my "Cyber Angel"(s) can.) What?! (Rachel says: Since you summoned another LV5 or higher monster, "Cyber Angel - Sarah"(s) ATK rise by another 500. (2000 + 500 = 2500 ATK) Also, since you summoned another LV4 or lower monster, "Cyber Angel - Yumi"(s) ATK rise by another 300. (1700 + 300 = 2000 ATK) Even if you do deal some serious damage to me, you'll lose thanks to your own effect.) So what?! At least I'll get to hurt you! For his Majesty! I activate his majesty's effect, so you lose another 500 LP. (Rachel: LP 5950) Now "Kingdom - Emperor" destroy her "Cyber Angel - Sarah"! (Rachel counters: You've got a lot to learn about my Deck. I activate "Cyber Angel - Helen"(s) effect from my Graveyard. If my opponent attacks a "Cyber Angel" monster I control, by removing this card from my Graveyard, along with the targeted "Cyber Angel", I can Special Summon a Synchro Monster from my Fusion/Extra Deck whose level is equal to that of the removed monsters, so I tune "Cyber Angel - Helen"(LV2) with "Cyber Angel - Sarah"(LV4) "People from the outskirts of the sky, please heed my wish and grace me with your light!" Synchro Summon! Protect us! "Cyber Angel - Yuna"(LV6/LIGHT/Fairy/Synchro/Effect/ATK/2400 DEF/1000) Thanks to her effect, she gains 500 ATK for every LV5 or higher monster you control. Since you control 2, she gains 1000 ATK. (2400 + 1000 = 3400 ATK) In that case, I change my target to "Cyber Angel - Yumi". Wait! Why are you attacking the other one?! (Rachel counters: It's "Cyber Angel - Yuna"(s) 2nd effect, if you control a LV5 or higher monster, all of your attacks are redirected to "Cyber Angel - Yuna", so say good-bye to your leader!) NOOO!!!! (K. Jack: LP 5400) (Rachel says: Well? Say it already.) I... end... my... turn.

Nick was watching the Duel from the television screen in the rest area and thought to himself...

("Nice job, Rachel." thought Nick.)

Rachel/ 0 cards/ LP 5950/ SPC: 3

K. Jack/ 1 card/ LP 5400/ SPC: 3

Field: "Speed World" & "Speed World 2"

Rachel: Turn 5 (SPC: 4)

I draw. (Standby Phase) And you lose.

Rachel: LP 5950/ Winner

K. Jack: LP 5400/ Lost due to card effect.

"And the winner is... Rachel Sharpton!" yelled the announcer.

Everyone roared and cheered from Rachel's victory. Rachel then stopped on the track and took of her helmet and saw Makayla on the other side of the track. They both stared at each other and in Rachel's mind she thought...

("Did you see, sister?" thought Rachel. "That Duel was proof that I'm not giving up on you. Not by a long shot.")

Card of the Day: "Cyber Angel - Yuna"

Rachel rides her way into the finals. Her determination to defeat her sister is proof that she can withstand anything. Let's just hope the others do a good job as well. "Next Chapter"! It's Cody's turn and he's facing off against Alexander of the Spider Birthmark. Cody is finding himself in a tough jam, but we know he's not giving up yet. Will Cody and Neos prevail, or will Alexander insects swarm with victory? Find out next time. Until then, KEEP ON DUELING!!

You still got your writing talent.

BTW, can you help me with my new written cards thread? It's a more generic set of cards I've used in my fan-fic, as well as some brand new cards, that I need help balancing. I've included blue comments about each card to help you get started on what could be edited. Please feel free to make any suggestions on the cards.

Haou, you have a new fan! Congratulations! I am sincerely happy for you!

Sorry if I seem sarcastic. I'm actually not being sarcastic at all.

pumpkin, if you thought the first few chapters were good, just wait until you get deeper into the story. It eventually becomes very deep and awesome.

Here's Chapter 62 everyone. Enjoy.
Rachel rode back to the garage and headed straight for the rest area.

"Congratu..." said Nick until...

Rachel, in a surprise attack, hugged Nick and kissed him on the cheek.

"Whoa." said Nick. "What was that for?"

"For the pep talk back in the garage." said Rachel still hugging him.

"So how long have you two kids been together?" asked Leo being all nosy.

Nick covered Leo's eyes and started making jokes.

"This is not for little kids to see." said Nick jokingly.

"Hey, I'm not little." said Leo.

"This is rated PG-13." said Nick still covering his eyes.

"I'm older and mature enough." said Leo.

"Viewer discretion is advised." said Nick as he removed his hand from Leo's eyes.

Everyone started to laugh. Just then, the announcer came on the screen.

"Alright!" yelled the announcer. "Here's the next match-up. It's Team Satellite's Cody vs Team Dark Signers Spider Birthmark, Alexander."

When Jack heard that name, he thought back to his Duel with him.

("Alexander." thought Jack. "I can't believe I lost with...")

"Well, I better get ready." said Cody. "Wish me luck."

Cody went to the garage to get ready, then Jack came in to talk with him.

"What is it, Jack?" asked Cody.

"You're in over your head if you think you can beat Alexander." said Jack. "That psychic girl was just practice. With the level of strength you have, you won't survive for at least 2 turns."

Cody looked concerned.

"So what are you gonna do?" asked Jack.

Then Cody smiled.

"Huh?" said Jack.

"I guess I'll deal with it." said Cody as he got on his Duel Runner.

"What?!" said Jack.

"See you." said Cody as he rode to the track.

"Alright!" yelled the announcer. "Are our Duelists ready?"

"Duel Mode! Auto-Pilot Standby! Field Spell "Speed World" & "Speed World 2" set on!" said the Duel Runners.

The track was lit up with purple flames.

"Ready." said Cody.

"Ready." said Alexander.

"Alright!" yelled the announcer. "3...2...1! Riding Duel! Acceleration!"

Let's ride!

Cody/ 5 cards/ LP 8000/ SPC: 0

Alexander/ 5 cards/ LP 8000/ SPC: 0

Field: "Speed World" & "Speed World 2"

Alexander: Turn 1 (SPC: 1)

I draw. (smiles) I summon "Krexxel, Arachnian Tactician"(LV3/DARK/Insect/Effect/ATK/1000 DEF/1000) Next, I play the Continuous Speed Spell "Speed Spell - Spell Gravity", so now it's safe to activate our Normal Spells, which means I can activate the spell "Double Summon", so I summon "Kaxx, Arachnian Soldier"(LV4/DARK/Insect/Effect/ATK/1400 DEF/1400) Now I activate its effect, when this card is Normal Summoned, I can Special Summon another "Kaxx, Arachnian Soldier"(LV4/DARK/Insect/Effect/ATK/1400 DEF/1400) from my hand. I play 1 card face-down and end my turn.

Cody/ 5 cards/ LP 8000/ SPC: 1

Alexander/ 0 cards/ LP 8000/ SPC: 1

Field: "Speed World" & "Speed World 2"

Cody: Turn 2 (SPC: 2)

I draw. (Cody thinks: That's probably the "Poison Web" trap he used on Jack last time. In that case, I just boost up my strength.) I activate my "Double Summon", so I summon "Elemental Hero S. Neos-Alius"(LV4/LIGHT/Warrior/Gemini/ATK/1900 DEF/1300) and Gemini Summon "Elemental Hero S. Neos-Alius"(LV4/LIGHT/Warrior/Effect/ATK/1900 DEF/1300) Next, I play the spell "Triple Summon", when this card is activated, if I already Normal Summoned this turn, I can add in 2 more Normal Summons, so I summon "Neo-Spacian Stardust Fairy"(LV3/WIND/Fairy/Effect/ATK/500 DEF/800) and "Neo-Spacian Crasher Dino"(LV3/EARTH/Dinosaur/Effect/ATK/800 DEF/500) Now thanks to "Elemental Hero S. Neos-Alius"(s) effect, his name is treated as "Elemental Hero Star Neos". Now "Elemental Hero S. Neos-Alius", "Neo-Spacian Stardust Fairy" and "Neo-Spacian Crasher Dino" use "Triple Contact Fusion" to summon "Elemental Hero S. Comet Neos"(LV9/WIND/Warrior/Fusion/Effect/ATK/3000 DEF/2500) Thanks to his effect, he gains ATK & DEF equal to the number of cards in both players hands x400. Since I have 1 and your hand is empty, he gains 400 ATK & DEF. (3000 + 400 = 3400 ATK/ 2500 + 400 = 2900 DEF) Now I play the spell "Level Draw", by paying 500 LP (Cody: LP 7500) I can choose 1 monster on the field and I can draw cards from my Deck equal to half of the selected monsters level, so I choose "Elemental Hero S. Comet Neos"(LV9), so I draw 4 cards. (Cody: Hand: 4) Now "Elemental Hero S. Comet Neos" ATK & DEF raise by 1600. (3000 + 1600 = 4600 ATK/ 2500 + 1600 = 4100 DEF) Now I equip him with "Instant Galaxy Space", though it lowers his ATK & DEF (4600 - 400 = 4200 ATK/ 4100 - 400 = 3700 DEF) it also raises his ATK & DEF by 300. (4200 + 300 = 4500 ATK/ 3700 + 300 = 4000 DEF) Now "Elemental Hero S. Comet Neos" destroy his "Krexxel, Arachnian Tactician". Don't even think about using "Poison Web". Even if you did, you'd still recieve a massive amount of damage. (Alexander says: Who said this was "Poison Web"?) Huh? (Alexander counters: I activate the Counter Trap "Arachnian Swarm", when this card is activated, if an "Arachnian" monster whose ATK are less than that of my opponent's monster is attacked, I can decrease the attacking monsters ATK by the total amount of ATK of every "Arachnian" monster I control, so adding up my "Arachnian" monster ATK, your monster loses 3800 ATK. (4500 - 3800 = 700 ATK) Which means my monster makes your monster look worthless.) (Cody: LP 7200) Not yet! Since he was destroyed while equipped with "Instant Galaxy Space", I can Special Summon 1 "Neo-Spacian" monster from my Deck, so I Special Summon back "Neo-Spacian Stardust Fairy"(LV3/WIND/Fairy/Effect/ATK/500 DEF/800) Thanks to her effect, she gains 200 ATK & DEF for every card I control and in my hand, so she gains 800 ATK & DEF. (500 + 800 = 1300 ATK/ 800 + 800 = 1600 DEF) Now "Neo-Spacian Stardust Fairy" destroy his "Krexxel, Arachnian Tactician". (Alexander: LP 7700) I play 1 card face-down and end my turn.

Cody/ 2 cards/ LP 7200/ SPC: 2

Alexander/ 0 cards/ LP 7700/ SPC: 2

Field: "Speed World" & "Speed World 2"

Alexander: Turn 3 (SPC: 3)

I draw. I play the spell "Pot of Greed", so I draw 2 cards. (Alexander: Hand: 2) Now I sacrifice my 2 "Kaxx, Arachnian Soldier"(s) to summon "D.T. - Underworld Spider"(LV10/DARK/Insect/Dark Tuner/ATK/0 DEF/0) Now its effect activates, when it's Normal Summoned, I can Special Summon 1 LV2 or lower Insect-type monster from my hand or Deck, so I Special Summon "Arachnian Egg"(LV2/DARK/Insect/Effect/ATK/200 DEF/300) Next, I also play "Level Draw", so I pay 500 LP (Alexander: LP 7200) and I choose "D.T. - Underworld Spider"(LV10), so I draw 5 cards. (Alexander: Hand: 5) Now I'm Dark Tuning my "D.T. - Underworld Spider"(LV10) with my "Arachnian Egg"(LV2). "As the strong prey upon the weak, the insects of the Underworld shall spin their deadly web!" Dark Synchro! Poison! "Arachnian Archfiend"(LV-8/DARK/Insect/Dark Synchro/Effect/ATK/2700 DEF/1800) Now I'll activate another "Double Summon", so I summon "Earthbound Warrior - Uru"(LV4/DARK/Warrior/Effect/ATK/1500 DEF/1500) Now "Arachnian Archfiend" destroy his "Neo-Spacian Stardust Fairy". (Cody counters: I activate the trap (Cody: LP 5800/ SPC: 2) (Cody counters: I activate the trap "Hero Signal", when this card is activated, when a monster I control is destroyed by battle, I can Special Summon 1 LV4 or lower "Elemental Hero" monster from my hand or Deck, so I Special Summon "Elemental Hero Stratos"(LV4/WIND/Warrior/Effect/ATK/1800 DEF/300) Now I activate his effect, when he's Normal Summoned, I can choose one his 2 effects, so I choose the first one. Now I can add 1 "Elemental Hero", "Destiny Hero". or "Evil Hero" to my hand from my Deck, so I add "Elemental Hero Star Neos"(LV7/LIGHT/Warrior/ATK/2500 DEF/2000) to my hand.) Alright. In that case, I play 1 card face-down and end my turn. Now "Earthbound Warrior - Uru"(s) effect activates, during the End Phase of the turn he's summoned, by tributing him, I can Special Summon my great beast. (Cody thinks: Here it comes.) Come Forth! "Earthbound Immortal Uru"(LV10/DARK/Insect/Effect/ATK/3000 DEF/3000) Your move.

("I got to think of something quick before that Immortal does to me like they did Akiza." thought Cody. "Maybe Jack was right. Maybe I am in over my head.")

Then someone yelled across the track.

"Don't you dare quit!" yelled a person.

"Huh?" said Cody as he looked to see who it was.

He turned his head and saw Jack cheering him on.

"Jack." said Cody.

"You hear me?!" yelled Jack. "Keep fighting 'til the very end!"

Cody then smiled.

("He's right." thought Cody. "I just have to believe in myself.") "My turn!" yelled Cody.

Cody/ 3 cards/ LP 5800/ SPC: 2

Alexander/ 2 cards/ LP 7200/ SPC: 3

Field: "Speed World" & "Speed World 2"

Cody: Turn 4 (SPC: 3)

I draw. (Cody thinks: Yes!) I play the spell "Ancient Rules", when this card is activated, I can Special Summon 1 LV5 or higher Normal Monster from my hand, so I Special Summon "Elemental Hero Star Neos"(LV7/LIGHT/Warrior/ATK/2500 DEF/2000) Now I activate another "Level Draw", so I pay 500 LP (Cody: LP 5300) and I choose your "Earthbound Immortal Uru", so I draw 5 cards. (Cody: Hand: 6) Now I play the spell "Convert Contact", but not after I activate my Quick-Play Spell "Contact Convert!", when this card is activated, if I activated a card with the word "Contact" in its name, I can activate it from my Deck, but that's not all. I can also Special Summon "Elemental Hero Neos"(LV7/LIGHT/Warrior/ATK/2500 DEF/2000) from my Deck. Now "Convert Contact"(s) effect activates, by sending 1 "Neo-Spacian" from my hand and Deck to the Graveyard (Cody: Hand: 4) I can draw 2 cards. (Cody: Hand: 6) Now I summon "Neo-Spacian Crasher Dino"(LV3/EARTH/Dinosaur/Effect/ATK/800 DEF/500) Now "Elemental Hero Star Neos" and "Neo-Spacian Crasher Dino" use "Contact Fusion" to summon "Elemental Hero S. Crasher Neos"(LV7/EARTH/Warrior/Fusion/Effect/ATK/2500 DEF/2000) Now I play the spell "Miracle Contact", when this card is activated, I can select 1 Fusion "Neos" from my Fusion/Extra Deck and return to my Deck from my field or Graveyard the Material Monsters used to summon it, so I return "Elemental Hero Neos" from my field and "Neo-Spacian Flare Scarab"(LV3/FIRE/Insect/Effect/ATK/500 DEF/500) and "Neo-Spacian Grand Mole"(LV3/EARTH/Rock/Effect/ATK/900 DEF/300) to summon "Elemental Hero Magma Neos"(LV9/FIRE/Warrior/Fusion/Effect/ATK/3000 DEF/2500) Now his effect activates, while he's on the field, he gains 400 ATK for every card on the field and since there's 6 cards, including himself, he gains 2400 ATK. (3000 + 2400 = 5400 ATK) I play 2 cards face-down, which increases "Magma Neos" ATK by another 800. (5400 + 800 = 6200 ATK) Now "Elemental Hero S. Crasher Neos" attack his "Arachnian Archfiend" (Alexander says: His ATK are lower than mine.) That's why his effect kicks in, when he attacks a monster, all monsters my opponent controls in the same position is automatically destroyed. (Alexander says: What?!) Say good-bye to your great beast and your Archfiend. Now "Elemental Hero Stratos" attack him directly. (Alexander: LP 5400) Since both your monsters were destroyed, "Magma Neos" loses 800 ATK. (6200 - 800 = 5400 ATK) Although, it's just enough to finish this! "Elemental Hero Magma Neos" end this Duel now! (Alexander counters: No... no... There's no way I'm gonna lose to you! I activate the trap "Last Oblivion", when this card is activated, all Battle Damage I take, you take the same amount!)

The ground was shaking because of the impact from "Elemental Hero Magma Neos"(s) attack. Both of their Duel Runners were spinning out of control, until they came to a complete halt. The purple flames then disappeared.

Cody: LP 0/ Tie

Alexander: LP 0/ Tie

"It looks like we have another tie, folks." said the announcer. "But wasn't that the best Duel you have ever seen?!"

The crowd cheered and roared. Cody took off his helmet and started dragging his Duel Runner back to the garage. He then ran into Jack and asked him...

"So how was I?" asked Cody.

"You could've done better." said Jack.

("In other words, I did alright." thought Cody.)

"Alright!" yelled the announcer. "Anyways, due to the amount of team members Team Satellite has, we are selecting people who have been eliminated in the tournament thus far, so I'll draw a name from this box and we'll be looking forward to Yusei's next opponent."

"Oh no." said Nick.

"What's wrong?" asked Alice.

"He said ANY person eliminated from the tournament, meaning people from Team Mystery." said Nick. "How are we gonna explain what happened to Kim and the others?"

"Good Point." said Alice.

"Ah! Here's Yusei's next opponent." said the announcer "It's a rematch between Yusei Fudo and Team Dark Signers, Mark. Duelists get your runners ready and meet us at the track."

Yusei got his runner ready, put on his helmet and rode to the track.

"Are both Turbo Duelists ready?" asked the announcer.

"Duel Mode! Auto-Pilot Standby! Field Spell "Speed World" & "Speed World 2" set on!" said the Duel Runners.

"Ready." said Yusei.

"Ready." said Mark. ("Alright, Yusei." thought Mark. "Prepare to fade into the shadows.")

"Alright!" yelled the announcer. "3...2...1! Riding Duel! Acceleration!"

"Let's Ride!" yelled Yusei and Mark.

Well this chapter ends with a tie, but what will the outcome of the next chapter be? "Next Chapter"! It's Yusei vs Mark. A rematch between Signer and Dark Signer. I hope Yusei can pull of another miracle. Will Yusei and his dragon pull through, or will Mark and his army of shadows rule him? Find out next time. Until then, KEEP ON DUELING!!

Not at all. If you're putting it in your Foe Fic' date=' don't let it hurt too much.

[/quote']

Not to say i don't have confidence in you, but he's going to annihilate your fanfic.

Well, maybe. Your storyline is quite cool, but you have so many overpowered cards, not too much detail, and not one, not two, but three people that kind of remind me of Jaden. Guess who. I'm not sure what he will criticize you on, most likely the lack of detail in the duels and how none of the monsters appear during the duel or anything. He'll probably also criticize the fact that so many of the newer chapters' duels end in draws.

All in all, I think it's a great fanfic with a few flaws. I'm sure Crab Helmet will use those flaws to pick your fanfic apart.

Unfortunately, i just told him a few obvious flaws to start with :( Sorry.

The world of Fan Fiction is a wide and varied realm. You have your adventure fanfics that flesh out an amazing and colourful world. You have your character study fanfics that explore the protagonist in ways the original author never imagined. You have your tender romantic shipping fanfics that depict a warm and fuzzy relationship between two characters that make an excellent pairing. And you have your comedy fanfics that can make the reader laugh out loud.

Unfortunately, that's not all you have. You also have your fanfics that grasp the English language so badly that you begin to wonder what language they are actually written in. You have your fanfics in which a new Mary Sue appears and destroys the entire actual cast. You have your fanfics in which characters' actual personalities and histories are completely mangled to the point where they may as well be someone totally different with a similar name. You have your fanfics with totally nonsensical relationships, where the author suddenly reveals that McCoy and Snape are secretly lovers. You have your fanfics where so little follows logically that it can barely be called a story; where flat and bland characters perform mundane activities that nobody cares about; where the canon story is rehashed so directly that one wonders what the fan actually contributed; and where mediocrity is so omnipresent that one cannot find the interest to continue reading.

If you are a fan of quality fanfics but you are a foe of mediocre-to-bad fanfics, then you've come to the wrong place - because today is a day for Foe Fiction.

This thing is over sixty chapters long, so it must be at least decent, right? Right? (SPOILER ALERT: probably not.)

Chapter 1

Nick Cunningham, a 14-year-old boy, height 5'12',

Even if it had been formatted properly, with a " after the inches instead of a single ', we would still have a major problem here. Has anyone here seen anyone who is of height 5'12"? Technically, perhaps, but they certainly wouldn't describe it like that.

If you haven't figured out the problem yet, here's the key question: Does anyone here know how many inches are in a foot? It's not thirteen. It's not fifteen. It's twelve. There is no such thing as 5'12". There is only a flat six feet.

This may sound like a minor nitpick - who cares if Haou Devil 12 gave a nonsensical number? - but it betrays a far more troubling underlying problem. The height value is listed to describe Nick Carraway Cunningham, and ideally such description is intended to share the author's mental image of the character with the reader. However, here the description given is patently nonsensical, even though it's supposed to be describing something that Haou Devil 12 is imagining. How?

The author is describing nothing. The author is imagining nothing.

The only way for the author to produce such a meaningless description is for the author to just be writing without actually picturing anything to describe in the first place. He's not picturing Nick and then telling us how tall Nick is, since if he were doing that then he would be forced to give us a height that actually exists that matches his mental image; instead, he's just saying, "Well, I guess I'm supposed to describe my character or something, but I don't really have much in mind to actually describe, so I'll just scribble down a height value, like, uh, *rolls dice*, 5'12" 5'12'. What could possibly go wrong?"

This is unforgivably lazy writing; it's hard to get lazier than actively removing the creative part of the creative process and replacing it with randomness to disguise its absence. It also betrays a variety of related problems, like a lack of interest in the characters, a lack of desire to build the world, and a lack of desire to, you know, actually write properly.

We're less than halfway through the first sentence and this is already very bad.

a duelist in his time

As opposed to a duelist in someone else's time.

We seem to be establishing a pattern of complete nonsense being scribbled down in lieu of anything actually meaningful.

and always getting made fun of by kids at his school because he has a huge imagination

Unlike Haou Devil 12, who has thus far demonstrated a complete absence of imagination.

I can relate to Nick. Most of my "flaws" are things like "is too awesome" too.

and dreams of becoming the greatest card creator of all time.

...and since Nick is similar to me and Haou Devil 12 is on a card-making site, this is probably Haou Devil 12's real-life dream.

Of course, if Nick is indeed a self-insertion, it's even weirder that the author couldn't think of a real height for him. Perhaps he just chose a random number higher than his own height as part of the process of creating himself-but-better?

I do wonder how the process of card creation works in the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe. After all, the cards are somehow connected to magical spirits in an alternate dimension, so it's obviously very different from what it's like in real life, and in the actual series the only glimpse we get of the process consists of Pegasus creating the Egyptian God Cards by looking at some old stone carvings and then painting on an easel. But how do futuristic cards like Satellite Laser exist? Do those parallel monsters in the spirit dimension too? A good exploration of this topic could be interesting. Sadly, I doubt this story will provide a "good" anything, and based on the comment that Nick is a duelist "in his time", I suspect that this story will focus more on playing card games anyhow.

But sometimes when an imagination is strong enough, it becomes reality.

Only-

Only if it involves-

-if it involves friendship!

-the power of friendship!

...

...

...I think I might actually like you.

Of course! Everyone does!

(sighs)

Come on, this is basic writing. You don't write things like "(sighs)" to denote sighing unless you're writing a script, and you're not writing a script, you're writing a verbal serial. Would it really have been that hard to write "He sighed" instead?

"No matter what I do, kids at my school always treat me like dirt.

That's probably because you narrate out loud to the readers for no discernible in-universe reason. When I get treated like dirt by the kids at my school, I generally just sit in my room in the dark cutting myself with a kni- WAIT, I NEVER SAID THAT!

Sometimes I wish I went to a world where all my dreams come true."

SUBTLE FORESHADOWING

In fact, Haou Devil 12 is too busy making SUBTLE FORESHADOWING to actually make Nick's words make any sense at all. Fairly obviously, nobody would actually use such specific phrasing as "I went to a world where" et cetera et cetera except for the purpose of SUBTLE FORESHADOWING, but more fundamentally, why would anyone ever say anything of this sort? "I wish my dreams would come true"? Thank you for that wisdom, Nick, but I'm pretty sure everyone wishes their dreams would come true.

(yawns)

Stop that.

"I wish." said Nick as he was drifting off to sleep.

"I wish my wishes would be granted". This is the best Haou Devil 12 could come up with.

Unfortunatley,

Am I the only person on this whole bloody forum who owns a word processor with a spellchecker? Or are all of you too stupid to figure out the deep intricacies of MSWord? Or do you just want your stories to suck?

he got his wish

(gasps)

on that one night while he was still sleeping,

As opposed to all those other nights when he just lay awake in fear of being trapped in a badly-written story.

time had stopped and in an instant

In what sense can something happen "in an instant" when time is stopped?

I may sound petulant when I say all these things, but I really need to interrupt each sentence several times because they're all so horribly written.

his mind and spirit were transported to an unknown dimension.

"What the... Where am I?" said Nick.

Bear in mind that we just established in the previous sentence that Nick was asleep when he was instantly transported, but in this sentence he's wide awake and asking questions and stuff.

"You're in our... excuse me, your world Nick." said a voice.

Thanks for clearing that up.

"Who are... Wait a minute. Is that you Hydroc?" asked Nick.

"I knew you wouldn't forget a face when you saw it." answered Hydroc.

"Then, that means i'm in the Chaos Realm, but where are the others?" asked Nick.

Wait, is this the sequel to another story? Or is this just really badly-written?

"Nick you're here!" shouted a voice.

"Yubel?" said Nick.

And now for the most appropriate way to announce your incompetence at writing in the history of the world.

(Just so you know that this is the daughter of Yubel, because I couldn't think of another name so I chose "Yubel".)

what

what

WHAT

Haou Devil 12, for someone whose author-insertion fantasy-persona is being persecuted for being too imaginative, your real-life self has an atrociously poor imagination. You hinted at it with the 5'12" nonsense in the very first sentence, and ever since then you've been in a crescendo of failed creativity, with this line here denoted in this score by fff.

I don't know why you're writing this story. I don't know why you think you can write this story. You're not good at writing. You're not imaginative. You're not even passable. You can't even think of names for your characters! This isn't that difficult! This isn't a high-level skill! This is pathetic! You're pathetic! This whole affair is pathetic! Everything about this is pathetic! Everyone who has followed your story for sixty chapters of this garbage is pathetic! It's pathetic! Pathetic! Pathetic! Pathetic! Pa-

[PLEASE STAND BY - TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES]

Welcome back. Crab Helmet is currently hospitalized, recovering from injuries related to clawing at his own throat. I will continue this review; he will be back next time when he has healed and finished his therapy.

Yubel flies right at him and hugs him.

The story thus far has been narrated in the past tense, but this line is written in the present tense. I can detect no reason for this inconsistency beyond an error on the part of the author.

"I'm glad to see you too and in person." said Nick. "By the way, where's the troublemaker."

In this story, questions do not end in question marks.

"Well, you know the Duel Runner you imagined here?" asked Yubel.

Apparently this world came from Nick's imagination?

I'm grateful that we aren't being subjected to a wall of exposition here and are permitted to make simple deductions for ourselves, but at the same time, it's very poor form for the viewpoint character to understand perfectly what is going on while the readers, who share that character's perspective, are left in the dark. That sort of thing is acceptable when the character is pulling off a successful plan that would be boring if the readers were privy to its details in advance but is less acceptable when the entire premise of the story, complete with the entire plot, is obscured from us for no logical reason. In stories written in the third-person limited perspective, we're supposed to be seeing the world from inside the perspective character's head, but here it feels like we're just watching Nick without context and are barred from sharing his experiences properly.

"Yeah why?" asked Nick. "Don't tell me he..."

"WHOO-HOO!!!" shouted a voice.

"Uh, Z, you should get off now." said Yubel. (Just so you know again, Z is Zeo-Nexus The Chaos Warrior. You see, Nick, Z, and Yubel are close friends in that dimension.)

No. This is unacceptable. All of this is unacceptable.

A well-written story does not need to feature an author's note every few lines to explain what is going on - with the exception of Finnegans Wake, which requires limitless annotations to be comprehensible, but you, sir, are no James Joyce. You should not need to interject to explain things like this. Why not just write your story by writing your story? Unacceptable.

It would not even be that difficult to incorporate this information into the narrative itself. Why not just have the narrator refer to Z as "Zeo-Nexus The Chaos Warrior" once instead of breaking the narrative flow with an out-of-place author's note? And rather than mentioning it in a note, why not just demonstrate through their actions that these three are friends - or, if that's too difficult for you, don't write the story at the very least have the narrator mention it instead of interrupting the story like that. You chose the worst possible method of exposition. This sort of nonsense is just plain unacceptable.

To make matters worse, despite interrupting the story to awkwardly inject information, the meager information provided simply raises more questions. What kind of name is "Zeo-Nexus", and what does the title "The Chaos Warrior" mean? Is it a hereditary title? Does it denote his abilities, his mission, or his accomplishments? And how can they be friends in this world if Nick created this world and has never been here before? It's all unacceptable. Unacceptable. Unacceptable. Unacceptable. Unacc-

[iNTERMISSION]

Welcome back. The Professor Young Boy has been taken away by the authorities for the safety of himself and others, and since he is my friend, I agreed to take over the review in his absence.

And since I'm everyone's friend, I said I would take over the review too! Let's continue!

"Why should I?" asked Z.

"Because I'm here idiot!" said Nick.

"Oh crap!" said Z as he stopped the Duel Runner.

For people who we have just been told are good friends, they don't seem terribly friendly. Even being around each other seems awkward.

"Hey Nick. How's it goin'?"

"Save it. Now can someone tell me why i'm here?" asked Nick.

"For your test of course." said Hydroc.

As if anyone similar to me could possibly fail.

"My...test?" said Nick.

"To see if you're truly worthy to wield us Chaos Spirits." said Hydroc.

"Wait, I created you guys why do you think i'm not worthy to wield you?" asked Nick.

I know the feeling, Nick. Once in a while, I too occasionally encounter someone who is unwilling to worship me and acknowledge my godlike power.

"Because you lack the power you posess." said Zeo.

"Zeo, why do you say that?" asked Nick.

Why is he being called "Zeo" now instead of "Z"? Doesn't Nick call his friend by any somewhat-consistent name? And why is the narrator calling him "Zeo" now too? Did Haou Devil 12 get confused regarding what he was calling this character?

"When you created us, you thought of us as tools in your imagination." said Zeo.

That's understandable. I also think you're all tools.

"If you think of us more than that, then prove yourself by dueling every Chaos Spirit in this dimension. If you beat all of them, their spirits will be transformed into their cards and all that's left is you dueling me, so let the test begin!"

How does winning card games prove that Nick thinks of these creations are more than just plot devices?

It's because power equals goodness! That's why I'm both the most powerful and the most perfect character!

A flash of light surrounds the area and the first test begins.

"Now where am I?" asked Nick.

"You're in our dimension." said Hydroc & Tsunami as they float.

Wasn't that what Hydroc told Nick when he first arrived? Hydroc owns almost as many dimensions as I do.

Who is Tsunami, why has he suddenly appeared out of nowhere without comment, and why should I care about him if I haven't a clue who he is? For that matter, who is Hydroc too? Who are any of these people? Why should I care about any of them?

"Wait I have to duel both of you at once?" asked Nick.

"That's the idea." said Tsunami.

He's like me; he can win it in his sleep. In fact, since he never woke up, I think he actually is winning it in his sleep.

"But I don't have a deck. Whoa!" said Nick as hundreds of cards are floating around him.

"You can select cards from this card database to create your Deck." said Hydroc. "And here's the duel disk you created." (The duel disk Nick created has 24 Monster Card Zones and Spell & Trap Card Zones. Way out of line, yes, but effective.)

What!? That's- that's- that's absurd even by my standards! You can't do that! You can't do that! No! No! No! N-

I draw. I summon "Twin-headed Shark"(LV3/WATER/Fish/Effect/ATK/1500 DEF/1200). When this card is summoned, I can Special Summon 1 Fish-type monster from my Deck, so I summon "Sea Synchron"(LV2/WATER/Fish/Tuner/ATK/900 DEF/800). Now i'm tuning "Sea Synchron"(LV2) with "Twin-headed Shark"(LV3) to Synchro Summon "Frozen Behemoth"(LV7/WATER/Beast/Effect/ATK/2500 DEF/1400). If "Sea Synchron" was used in a Synchro Summon, its is treated as a LV4 monster. When this card is Synchro Summoned, I can select 2 cards from your Deck and put them at the top of my Deck and until my next Standby Phase, I can draw the 2 selected cards from my Deck, if one of them is a Spell, I can inflict 1000 points of damage to my opponent. I play 1 card face-down and end my turn.

Here's Chapter 63 everyone. Enjoy.
Yusei/ 5 cards/ LP 8000/ SPC: 0

Mark/ 5 cards/ LP 8000/ SPC: 0

Field: "Speed World" & "Speed World 2"

Yusei: Turn 1 (SPC: 1)

I draw. I play monster and 2 cards face-down and end my turn.

"Really, Yusei?" said Mark. "I thought you would start out stronger than that. Are you afraid of what might happen?"

"Why don't you just shut up and Duel?" said Yusei.

"Grrr." said Mark. "My turn!"

Yusei/ 3 cards/ LP 8000/ SPC: 1

Mark/ 5 cards/ LP 8000/ SPC: 1

Field: "Speed World" & "Speed World 2"

Mark: Turn 2 (SPC: 2)

I draw. I summon "Shadow Beast - Dread Bat"(LV3/DARK/Winged-Beast/Effect/ATK/1200 DEF/400) Now I activate its effect, once per turn, I can send 2 "Shadow Beast" monsters from my Deck to my Graveyard. Now I play the Continuous Speed Spell "Speed Spell - Spell Gravity", so now we can activate spells without taking damage from "Speed World". Now I play the spell "Shadow Roar", when this card is activated, I can destroy a number of cards you control equal to the number of "Shadow Beast"(s) in my Graveyard, so since I have 2, I can destroy your facedown monster and the left facedown. Now "Shadow Beast - Dread Bat" attack him directly. (Yusei counters: I activate the trap "Scrap-Iron Scarecrow", so your attack is negated and I can re-set this card.) Now I play 1 card face-down and end my turn. Now "Shadow Beast - Dread Bat"(s) effect activates, during the End Phase it activated its effect, it's sent to the Graveyard and I can Special Summon 1 "Shadow Beast" monster from my Graveyard, so I Special Summon "Shadow Beast - Dusk Whale"(LV9/WATER/Fish/Effect/ATK/2800 DEF/2000)

("That thing is huge!" thought Yusei. "I got to think of something quick.") "My turn!" yelled Yusei.

Yusei/ 3 cards/ LP 8000/ SPC: 2

Mark/ 2 cards/ LP 8000/ SPC: 2

Yusei: Turn 3 (SPC: 3)

I draw. By discarding 1 monster from my hand, I can Special Summon "Quickdraw Synchron"(LV5/WIND/Machine/Tuner/ATK/700 DEF/1400) and since I have a Tuner on the field, I can Special Summon "Quillbolt Hedgehog"(LV2/LIGHT/Machine/Effect/ATK/800 DEF/800) from my Graveyard. Now I summon "Unicycular"(LV1/EARTH/Machine/ATK/100 DEF/100) Now I'm tuning my "Quickdraw Synchron"(LV5) with my "Quillbolt Hedgehog"(LV2) and "Unicycular"(LV1) to Synchro Summon "Junk Destroyer"(LV8/EARTH/Warrior/Synchro/Effect/ATK/2600 DEF/2500) Now his effect activates, when he's Synchro Summoned, I can destroy a number of cards you control equal to the number of monsters used in the Synchro Summoning of him, so I destroy your "Shadow Beast - Dusk Whale" and your face-down. (Mark counters: I activate the trap "Hidden Shadow", when this card is activated, if a "Shadow Beast" I control is targeted by the effects of a card, it is removed from play until the End Phase.) Big mistake. "Junk Destroyer" attack him directly! (Mark: LP 5400/ SPC: 1) I play 1 card face-down and end my turn. (Mark counters: You're gonna pay for that! I Special Summon back "Shadow Beast - Dusk Whale"(LV9/WATER/Fish/Effect/ATK/2800 DEF/2000)

I draw. I summon "Shadow Beast - Malice Monkey"(LV3/DARK/Beast/Effect/ATK/1200 DEF/1400) Now it's effect activates, once per turn, by discarding 1 "Shadow Beast" from my hand (Mark: Hand: 1) I can draw 2 cards. (Mark: Hand: 3) Now I play the Continuous Spell "Dark Portal", when this card is activated, once per turn, I can Special Summon 1 DARK Monster with 1500 ATK or less from my Deck, so I Special Summon "D.T. - Shadow Beast - Dark Wasp"(LV9/DARK/Insect/Dark Tuner/ATK/0 DEF/0) Now I activate "Shadow Beast - Dusk Whale"(s) effect, once per turn, I can Special Summon "Shadow Beast"(s) up to the number of "Shadow Beast"(s) in my Graveyard, so I Special Summon "Shadow Beast - Death Cougar"(LV3/DARK/Beast/Tuner/ATK/1100 DEF/500) and "Shadow Beast - Night Hawk"(LV4/DARK/Winged-Beast/Effect/ATK/1500 DEF/1000) Now I activate "Shadow Beast - Death Cougar"(s) effect, once per turn, I can raise his level by 1. (3 + 1 = LV4) Now I'm tuning my "Death Cougar"(LV4) with my "Night Hawk"(LV4) and I'm Dark Tuning my "Dark Wasp"(LV9) with my "Malice Monkey"(LV3) "Darkness shall engulf the world with its black shadow, now begins its destiny of despair!" Synchro Summon! Dark Synchro! Rampage! "Shadow Beast - Night Gorilla"(LV8/DARK/Beast/Synchro/Effect/ATK/2500 DEF/2400) Devour! "Shadow Beast - Ravenous Shark"(LV-6/DARK/Fish/Dark Synchro/Effect/ATK/2550 DEF/1200) Now "Shadow Beast - Death Cougar"(s) effect activates, if it's used for a Synchro Summon, I can select 2 "Shadow Beast"(s) in my Graveyard and Special Summon them, so I Special Summon "Shadow Beast - Silent Snake"(LV6/EARTH/Reptile/Effect/ATK/2100 DEF/1200) and "Shadow Beast - Malice Monkey"(LV3/DARK/Beast/Effect/ATK/1200 DEF/1400) Now I activate "Shadow Beast - Silent Snake"(s) effect, once per turn, I can negate all "Shadow Beast"(s) effects that sends them to the Graveyard by their effects. Now I play the spell "Level Draw", by paying 500 LP (Mark: LP 4900) I can select 1 monster on the field and draw cards equal to half the level of the selected monster, so I choose "Shadow Beast - Dusk Whale"(LV9), so I draw 4 cards. (Mark: Hand: 5) Now I play the spell "Double Summon", so I can summon again this turn. Now I sacrifice my "Silent Snake" and "Malice Monkey" to summon my great beast. Come Forth! "Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu"(LV10/DARK/Fiend/Effect/ATK/3000 DEF/2500) Now "Shadow Beast - Dusk Whale" destroy his "Junk Destroyer". (Yusei counters: I activate "Scrap-Iron Scarecrow".) Then I'll just have "Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu" attack you directly. (Yusei counters: I activate the trap "Synchro Prominence", when this card is activated, I can inflict 1000 points of damage to you for every Synchro Monster on the field and since there's 3, you take 3000 points of damage.) (Mark: LP 1900/ SPC: 0) But you still take damage from "Ccapac Apu". (Yusei: AAAHH!!/ LP 5000/ SPC: 1) I play 1 card face-down and end my turn.

("It's time that I ended this duel." thought Yusei.) "My turn!" yelled Yusei.

Yusei/ 0 cards/ LP 5000/ SPC: 1

Mark/ 2 cards/ LP 1900/ SPC: 0

Field: "Speed World" & "Speed World 2"

Yusei: Turn 5 (SPC: 2)

I draw. I play the spell "Pot of Greed", so I draw 2 cards. (Yusei: Hand: 2) Now I play the spell "Battle Waltz", when this card is activated, I can select 1 monster I control and Special Summon 1 "Waltz Token" whose level, type, Attribute, and ATK & DEF are the same as the selected monster, so I select "Junk Destroyer" and Special Summon my "Waltz Token"(LV8/EARTH/Warrior/Effect/ATK/2600 DEF/2500) Now "Waltz Token" attack his "Shadow Beast - Dusk Whale". (Mark says: What?! My "Dusk Whale" has more ATK, so why...) (Yusei: LP 5000) (Mark says: And how come you didn't lose any LP?) Any Battle Damage to either player in control of the token becomes 0 and until the End Phase, if you destroyed the token, your monster loses ATK equal to the tokens ATK. (Mark says: No!) (2800 - 2600 = 200 ATK) Now "Junk Destroyer" end this Duel now! (Mark counters: NO! I'M NOT LOSING TO YOU AGAIN!! I activate the trap "Fade into the Shadows", when this card is activated, I can destroy 1 "Shadow Beast" on the field and we both take damage equal to double its original ATK! I destroy "Shadow Beast - Dusk Whale"!)

The whale exploded and spreaded a black fog around the track. Both of them couldn't see a thing lost control of their Duel Runners, but thanks to its mechanism, both had come to a complete stop and they have the result of the match.

Yusei: LP 0/ Tie

Mark: LP 0/ Tie

"We have yet again another tie, folks." said the announcer. "Now let's find out who will go up against Crow Hogan in the last match of the Second Round right after these messages."

Yusei rode back to the garage. Everyone then came in.

"Yusei, are you alright?" asked Nick. "Is your vision okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." said Yusei until Jack grabbed him by the shirt collar.

"Well I'm not!" yelled Jack. "How could you tie with someone you already defeated?!"

"Hey, cut him some slack, Jack." said Leo. "I mean I faced someone with the same Deck I beat and I tied with him, but that's because he showed up with some new cards. The same thing happened to Yusei, too."

Jack let go of Yusei.

"Hmph, well I'm not all that happy about it." said Jack.

("You're barely happy about anything." thought Leo.)

Meanwhile where the Dark Signers are...

"I'm sorry I failed you again, Master Wiraq." said Mark.

"Don't be." said Wiraq. "At least Fudo is out of the way. Now there's one more Signer to take care of and then your fun will begin, Makayla."

"Yes, Master Wiraq." said Makayla.

The announcer came back on the screen.

"Alright!" yelled the announcer. "Crow's opponent is Team Ultimate Kingdom's Kingdom - Queen."

("Why do I always get girl opponent's?" thought Crow. "Anyway, I have to be careful when it comes to this one. She's the one who almost beat Akiza.")

"Are we Turbo Duelists ready?" asked the announcer.

"Duel Mode! Auto-Pilot Standby! Field Spell "Speed World" & "Speed World 2" set on!" said the Duel Runners.

"Ready." said Crow.

"Ready." said Queen.

"Alright!" yelled the announcer. "3...2...1! Riding Duel! Acceleration!"

"Let's Ride!" yelled Crow and Queen.

Queen/ 5 cards/ LP 8000/ SPC: 0

Field: "Speed World" & "Speed World 2"

Crow: Turn 1 (SPC: 1)

I draw. I summon "Blackwing - Kochi the Daybreak"(LV4/DARK/Winged-Beast/Tuner/ATK/700 DEF/1500) Now since I control a "Blackwing" monster, I can Special Summon my first and second "Blackwing - Bora the Spear"(LV4/DARK/Winged-Beast/Effect/ATK/1700 DEF/800) Next, I Special Summon "Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind"(LV3/DARK/Winged-Beast/Tuner/ATK/1300 DEF/400) Now I'm tuning my "Gale the Whirlwind"(LV3) with my first "Bora the Spear"(LV4) "Darkened Gales, become the wings which will soar to the heavens!" Synchro Summon! "Blackwing Armor Master"(LV7/DARK/Winged-Beast/Synchro/Effect/ATK/2500 DEF/1500) I play 2 cards face-down and end my turn.

Crow/ 0 cards/ LP 8000/ SPC: 1

Queen/ 5 cards/ LP 8000/ SPC: 1

Field: "Speed World" & "Speed World 2"

Queen: Turn 2 (SPC: 2)

I draw. I play the Continuous Speed Spell "Speed Spell - Spell Gravity", so now we can use Normal Spells without taking damage. Now I play the spell "Double Summon", so I can summon twice. Now I summon "Kingdom - Mounted Knight"(LV4/EARTH/Warrior/Effect/ATK/1600 DEF/1200) and "Kingdom - Jester's Assistant"(LV1/EARTH/Warrior/Effect/ATK/0 DEF/1900) Now I activate "Kingdom - Mounted Knight"(s) effect, when he's Normal Summoned, by paying 1500 LP (Queen: LP 6500/ SPC: 1) I can Special Summon 1 "Kingdom" monster from my hand, so I Special Summon "Kingdom - Queen"(LV7/EARTH/Warrior/Effect/ATK/2450 DEF/1600) Now I activate "Kingdom - Jester's Assistant"(s) effect, when he's summoned, I can Special Summon "Kingdom - Jester Imposter"(LV2/EARTH/Warrior/Tuner/ATK/800 DEF/800) from my Deck. Now I play the spell "Level Draw", so I pay 500 LP (Queen: LP 6000) and I can select 1 monster on the field and draw cards equal to half its level, so I choose "Kingdom - Queen", so I draw 3 cards. (Queen: Hand: 3) Now I activate "Kingdom - Jester Imposter"(s) effect, once per turn, I can Special Summon "Kingdom - Court Jester"(LV1/EARTH/Warrior/Tuner/ATK/300 DEF/300) from my hand. Now I'm tuning my "Court Jester"(LV1) with my "Queen"(LV7) to Synchro Summon "Kingdom - Emperor"(LV8/EARTH/Warrior/Synchro/Effect/ATK/3000 DEF/1600) Now I play another "Level Draw", so I pay 500 LP (Queen: LP 5500) and choose "Kingdom - Emperor", so I draw 4 cards. (Queen: Hand: 5) Now I play the Quick-Play Spell "Quick Summon", so I can Normal Summon 1 monster from my hand, so I summon another "Kingdom - Jester Imposter"(LV2/EARTH/Warrior/Tuner/ATK/800 DEF/800) Now I activate my first "Kingdom - Jester Imposter"(s) effect, once per turn, all "Kingdom - Court Jester"(s) I control are treated as non-Tuner monsters. Now I'm tuning my first "Jester Imposter"(LV2) with my second "Jester Imposter"(LV2), "Jester's Assistant"(LV1), and "Mounted Knight"(LV4) "To all peasants of this forsaken world, bow before the Ultimate Kingdom!" Synchro Summon! Take Flight! "Kingdom - Dragon"(LV9/EARTH/Dragon/Synchro/Effect/ATK/???? DEF/2500) "Kingdom - Dragon"(s) ATK are the combined ATK of the monsters used to summon it. (ATK: 3200) Now I activate "Kingdom - Emperor"(s) effect, once per turn, if "Kingdom - Queen" was used in his summon, I can draw 1 card. (Queen: Hand: 4) Now "Kingdom - Emperor" destroy his "Blackwing - Kochi the Daybreak". (Crow counters: Not if I have anything to say about it. I activate the trap "Urgent Tuning", so this means I can Synchro Summon during your turn, so I tune my "Kochi the Daybreak"(LV4) with my second "Bora the Spear"(LV4) "Darkened Gales, become the wings that soar with resolved hope!" Synchro Summon! Soar! "Black-Winged Dragon"(LV8/DARK/Dragon/Synchro/Effect/ATK/2800 DEF/1600) Then I continue to attack your dragon. (Crow counters: I activate the trap "Synchro Rivalry", since you summoned a Synchro Monster, my monsters can't be destroyed by battle.) But there's still damage. (Crow: LP 7800) Now "Kingdom - Dragon" attack his "Black-Winged Dragon". (Crow: LP 7400) Now I play the Quick-Play Spell "Weapon Artillery", when this card is activated, if I control 2 or more "Kingdom" monsters, I can activate "Kingdom - Artillery" from my Deck. Now I activate "Kingdom - Artillery"(s) effect, once per turn, I can inflict damage to you equal to the combined ATK of every "Kingdom" monster I control, so you'll be recieving 6200 points of damage. (Crow counters: I activate my "Black-Winged Dragon"(s) effect, whenever I would take damage from a card effect, I can negate that damage and place 1 Black Feather Counter on my dragon, but it loses 700 ATK because of it. (BFC: 1/ 2800 - 700 = 2100 ATK) I play 2 cards face-down and end my turn.

("Heh! I thought she'd be more of a challenge." thought Crow. "Time to finish this.") "My turn!" yelled Crow.

Crow/ 0 cards/ LP 7400/ SPC: 2

Queen/ 1 card/ LP 5500/ SPC: 0

Field: "Speed World" & "Speed World 2"

Crow: Turn 3 (SPC: 3)

I draw. I play the spell "Pot of Greed", so I draw 2 cards. (Crow: Hand: 2) Now, since I control a "Blackwing" monster, I can Normal Summon "Blackwing - Elphin the Raven"(LV6/DARK/Winged-Beast/Effect/ATK/2200 DEF/1200) without a tribute. Now I activate his effect, when he's Normal Summoned, I can switch the position of 1 monster you control, so I choose your dragon. ("Kingdom - Dragon": DEF: 2500) Now "Blackwing Armor Master" attack her "Kingdom - Emperor" (Queen counters: I'm well aware of that "Blackwing" monsters effect. That's why I activate the Continuous Trap "Skill Drain", by paying 1000 LP (Queen: LP 4500/ SPC: 0) all Monster effects are negated and since you're attacking me, your effect doesn't work and your monster is destroyed.) (Crow: LP 6900) In that case, "Black-Winged Dragon" destroy her "Kingdom - Dragon". (Queen counters: I activate the trap "Appearing Moat", so the Battle Phase ends and I can activate "Kingdom - Moat" from my Deck.) Grrr! I play 1 card face-down and end my turn. (Crow thinks: Heh! Joke's on her. Since she activated her "Skill Drain", her monsters are useless just like mine. Which means her dragon's ATK go back down to where it started, 0. How's she gonna finish me off now?)

Crow/ 0 cards/ LP 6900/ SPC: 3

Queen/ 1 card/ LP 4500/ SPC: 0

Field: "Speed World" & "Speed World 2"

Queen: Turn 4 (SPC: 1)

I draw. I play "Pot of Greed", so I draw 2 cards. (Queen: Hand: 3) Now I play the Quick-Play Spell "Mystical Space Typhoon", so I can destroy "Skill Drain". (Crow thinks: Oh no! That means her dragon's ATK...) Since "Skill Drain" is gone, "Kingdom - Dragon"(s) ATK go back to where they were. (ATK: 3200) Now I activate "Kingdom - Emperor"(s) effect, once per turn, I can draw a card. (Queen: Hand: 3) Now I activate "Kingdom - Artillery", so you take 6200 points of damage. (Crow counters: I activate "Black-Winged Dragon"(s) effect.) I play the Quick-Play Spell "Effect Shut", this card is activated when you activate your monsters effect. This card negates your monsters effect and sends it to the Graveyard. (Crow says: NO!) Now "Kingdom - Artillery"(s) effect goes through. (Crow: LP 700/ SPC: 0) Now I play the spell "Call the Guards", when this card is activated, by paying 2000 LP (Queen: LP 2500) I can activate "Kingdom - Guards" from my Deck. Now I activate "Kingdom - Guards"(s) effect, once per turn, I can destroy 1 monster you control, so your "Blackwing - Elphin the Raven" is destroyed. (Crow says: (grunts with anger)) This is the end! "Kingdom - Dragon" attack him directly and end this duel. (Crow says: (smiles) Heh. Big mistake.) Huh? (Crow counters: I activate the trap "Blackwing - Backlash", when this card is activated, if you called a direct attack on me while I have 5 or more "Blackwing" monsters in my Graveyard, all of your monsters are instantly destroyed.) Impossible! (sighs then looks at hand) I play 1 card face-down and end my turn.

"It's coming down to the wire folks!" yelled the announcer. "If Crow can draw a game changer, then it's his win!"

("Come on, Deck." thought Crow. "Don't fail me now.") "My turn!!" yelled Crow.

Crow/ 0 cards/ LP 700/ SPC: 0

Queen/ 0 cards/ LP 2500/ SPC: 0

Field: "Speed World" & "Speed World 2"

Crow: Turn 5 (SPC: 1)

I DRAW! (Queen counters: I activate the effect of my "Kingdom - Moat", during my opponent's Standby Phase, I can choose a type or Attribute and the select type or Attribute cannot attack. Since your Deck is full of DARK monsters, I choose DARK.) (looks at card) I activate another "Pot of Greed", so I draw 2 more cards. (Crow: Hand: 2) (Crow thinks: This is it!) I summon "Blackwing - Blizzard the Far North"(LV2/DARK/Winged-Beast/Tuner/ATK/1300 DEF/0) Now I activate it's effect, when it's Normal Summoned, I can Special Summon 1 LV4 or lower "Blackwing" monster from my Graveyard, so I revive "Blackwing - Bora the Spear"(LV4/DARK/Winged-Beast/Effect/ATK/1700 DEF/800) (Queen says: You can't attack. Like I said, your Deck is filled with DARK Monsters.) Who said it was just filled with DARK Monster? (Queen says: What?!) I tribute "Blizzard the Far North" and "Bora the Spear" to Special Summon "Blackwing - Aurora of the Northern Lights"(LV10/LIGHT/Winged-Beast/Effect/ATK/0 DEF/0) (Queen says: A LIGHT-Attributed "Blackwing"?!) That's right. Now I activate her effect, once per turn, I can send a Synchro Monster from my Fusion/Extra Deck to the Graveyard and "Aurora of the Northern Lights"(s) level, effect and ATK become the same as the discarded Synchro Monster, so I discard "Blackwing - Silverwind the Ascendent"(LV8/DARK/Winged-Beast/Synchro/Effect/ATK/2800 DEF/2000) and his stats go to "Aurora of the Northern Lights"(LV8/LIGHT/Winged-Beast/Effect/ATK/2800 DEF/2000) Now "Blackwing - Aurora of the Northern Lights" end this now! (Queen counters: Hmph. So you did find a way. In that case, I activate the trap "Ring of Destruction", when this card is activated, I can select 1 monster on the field and we both take damage equal to the destroyed monsters ATK.) OH NO!!!

Crow: LP 0/ Tie

Queen: LP 0/ Tie

"And that's it! The result is another tie!" yelled the announcer.

Crow and Queen's Duel Runners stopped at the starting line.

"I don't get it." said Crow. "Why didn't activate that trap when I summoned my "Blizzard"?

"I wanted to see if you could find a way out of my "Kingdom - Moat" lock. Sorry to say that you did. Congratulations." said Queen as she held out her hand.

Crow shook her hand and rode back to the garage. Meanwhile, Queen was walking to her teams rest area and she ran into Knight.

"What is it, Knight?" asked Queen.

"Just like you fool of a husband." said Knight.

"Excuse me?" asked Queen.

"Disobeying his majesty's orders." said Knight. "Do not show appreciation to your opponent. It is a sign of weakness in our team. Do not forget that."

Knight walked past the Queen and went down the hallway. Meanwhile back where Crow is...

"Man, that Kingdom - Queen is no pushover, but she is nice once you get to know her." said Crow.

"Still that doesn't cover how you lost." said Jack.

"Why are you so mad today, Jack?" asked Crow.

"Why?" said Jack. "Look at us! We're supposed to be the 5 legendary Signers of the Crimson Dragon. We beat the Dark Signers before, so tell me. How is it that all 5 of us lost and tied with the new Dark Signers?!"

Everyone then looked concerned, until Yusei stood up and said something.

"It may look like that now, but that doesn't mean we gave up." said Yusei. "We can still fight and we're gonna fight till the end. We're gonna fight to protect the people we care about."

Everyone then smiled with courage. Just then, the announcer came on the screen.

"Will the contestants who won their Second Round match please come to the track?" asked the announcer.

"Alright. Let's go, Rachel." said Nick.

"Okay." said Rachel as they both walked out to the track.

Makayla and Knight were already at the track and when they saw Rachel and Nick, the expression on their faces changed and so did Nick and Rachel's. The announcer walked to the track.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, here are your 4 finalists!" yelled the announcer.

The crowd roared and cheered as loud as they could.

"We have a special surprise for you four for the finals." said the announcer.

"What is it?" asked Nick.

"For the Final Round, these 4 will be Tag-battling!" yelled the announcer.

The expressions on the four's faces were surprised.

"What?!" yelled Makayla. "Why..."

Knight interupted her.

"Relax." said Knight. "At least you'll be fighting the one you want and so am I, meaning if we're going to work together, you're going to have to cooperate with me if we're ever going to be rid of him."

Makayla looked at Knight and then looked at Nick with anger, then she calmed down and spoke.

"Give me a reason why I should trust you." said Makayla.

"I never said you could trust me." said Knight. "I just said you'd just have to deal with me being your partner."

Makayla looked at him again.

"Fine." said Makayla.

Then Nick and Rachel were conversing.

"If we're ever going to beat them, we need to know each others strategies." said Nick. "I know it must be hard facing your sister and all. Believe me, I would know, but..."

Rachel interupted him.

"Don't worry." said Rachel. "I'm not concerned about facing my sister. As long as you'll help me, I'll be okay."

Rachel smiled at Nick and he knew she was serious.

"Alright." said Nick.

He then said to the announcer.

"Alright, we're in." said Nick.

"As are we." said Knight.

"Alright!" yelled the announcer. "We have a match. Be here tomorrow at 12:00n sharp. Until then, good-bye to all of us here at the Kaibadome!"

Nick and Knight looked at each other with determination and in each others minds they thought...

("Come tomorrow..." thought Nick.)

("Come tomorrow..." thought Knight.)

("WE WILL WIN!!" thought Nick and Knight.)

Card of the Day: "Blackwing - Aurora of the Northern Lights"

Crow match ends in a tie and the last Signer goes down. Finally the Finals and both Nick and Rachel's fates are determined by this upcoming tag match. "Next Chapter"! Nick said him and Rachel will work on their strategy bright and early tomorrow, so everyone could get a good night's sleep. Everyone except Nick that is. That night, something flew at Nick's window and it was a message to challenge the Night Duelist named Kizuna. They met and the Duel was on. Will Nick defeat this person in time for the final round, or will this graceful assassin be Nick's downfall? Find out next time. Until then, KEEP ON DUELING!!

Chapter 64 is one paragraph? Really?

No' date=' he just gives a start to the chapter, then usually an update, and then finishes it. That's how he's always been.

[/quote']

That alone says more about the amount of time, care, and proofreading put into this story than I could in a thousand reviews.

Here's Chapter 65 everyone. Enjoy.
Everyone left the stadium and went back home. Nick and the gang started to walk back to the hotel discussing their strategy for the Tag-Duel.

"So have you guys come up with a plan for the Duel?" asked Cody.

"We were thinking about it." said Nick. "We're going to have a practice Tag match in the morning. It's us versus Rein and Alice."

"Why us?" asked Rein.

"We figured you two would be more of a challenge for us if you worked together." said Rachel.

"Think about it." said Nick. "Your Deck provides the strength and speed for your team and Alice's Deck provides the provisions for your team. Both of you have faced me before and you nearly beat me, so I can tell the two of you are stronger as a team. Plus..."

"Plus what?" asked Rein.

Nick walks over to Rein and whispers in his ear.

"You two make a good couple." whispered Nick. "Am I wrong?"

Rein's expression on his face looked embarassing.

"Knock it off, will you?" said Rein looking embarassed.

"Sorry." said Nick. "I couldn't help but say it."

Just then they heard a yell.

"AAAAHH!!!" screamed a person.

"What was that?" said Nick.

"It came from that alley." said Rein. "Come on."

They ran to where they heard the scream and found a duelist lying on the ground.

"Hey, are you alright?" asked Nick.

"Ughh." said the person. "He was too strong."

"Who was?" asked Rein.

"His name is... Kizuna." said the person. "He's a sort of night duelist with moves like a ninja. He finds duelists that look strong enough to take him on, but everyone who did lost to him."

Rein then noticed a card right next to the duelist's Duel Disk.

"I think he left his calling card." said Rein.

There was a kanji written on both sides of the card.

"On this side it says "Life"." said Nick. "And on the other it says "Death"."

"What does it mean?" asked Cody.

"Not sure, but this means we have to keep our guard up in case he shows up again." said Nick.

A figure was watching them from the rooftops with no one even noticing him.

"Hmm." said the figure. "I can sense a lot power coming from that one. No doubt. He's my next target."

The figure disappeared in a flash. Nick and the gang arrived at the hotel and went to their rooms and started to go to sleep, except Nick who was thinking about what happened to that duelist.

("He preys on duelists that look strong enough to fight him." thought Nick. "The duelist we found in the alley screamed after he lost, but it was only seconds ago that we found him. What if Kizuna was still lurking after the time he beat him?")

Just then, something flew and hit Nick's window.

"Huh?" said Nick as he got up.

He opened the window and found the same card Rein found in the alley, but this time there was a note written on it.

"You're different from any other duelist I have seen." read Nick. "I can sense a strong surge of energy flowing through you. If you think you're strong enough, come to the alley where you found that defeated duelist. Alone." ("I guess I don't have a choice." thought Nick. "But this time, I need to be quiet so that Rein and the others don't wake up.")

Nick got dressed, put on his shoes, grabbed his Duel Disk and is trying so hard to sneak past his friends rooms. Fortunately, he did and he ran all the way back to the alley.

"Alright, Kizuna. I'm here." said Nick. "Show yourself."

Just then someone jumped down from the building in the alley right in front of Nick. He was wearing a long, black kimono with matching black pants and shoes and what looked like a sword on his left thigh, but it's actually his Duel Disk. He has long, medium-length black hair and yellow-green eyes. He looks 2 years older than Nick.

"So you're Kizuna." said Nick. "Alright, talk. Why are you going around beating duelists weaker than you?"

"As if I'd give it away so easily." said Kizuna. "There's only one way you can get the answer out of me."

Kizuna pulled out his Duel Disk like a samurai sword and strapped it on his wrist.

"I guess I don't have a choice." said Nick as he readied his Duel Disk.

"How about we make this interesting?" said Kizuna. "If you win, I'll tell you the reason I do this. If I win, I'll take your most precious card."

"Wait." said Nick. "How come you didn't take the rarest cards of your last opponent, or your opponent's before him?"

"I have heard all about you in the city." said Kizuna. "You have this special power that can only be invoked when you use that one card. You might be just the duelist I've been looking for."

("Why is it always me?" thought Nick.) "Fine, deal." said Nick. "The reason I said that is because you're not gonna win."

"We'll see about that." said Kizuna.

Duel!

Nick/ 5 cards/ LP 8000

Kizuna/ 5 cards/ LP 8000

Nick: Turn 1

I draw. I summon "Chaos Spirit Lava"(LV4/FIRE/Spirit/Effect/ATK/1600 DEF/1000) I play 2 cards face-down and end my turn.

("Why is he holding back?" thought Kizuna.) "My turn!" yelled Kizuna.

Nick/ 3 cards/ LP 8000

Kizuna/ 5 cards/ LP 8000

Kizuna: Turn 2

I draw. I summon "Hokai, Ninja of the Graceful Flame"(LV4/FIRE/Warrior/Effect/ATK/1400 DEF/1500) Now his effect activates, when he's Normal Summoned successfully, I can send Spell Cards from my hand or Deck that has his name included in the card text to my Graveyard. (Kizuna: Hand: 3/ Deck: 73) Also, thanks to his second effect, once per turn, I can select one of the spell cards sent to the Graveyard and activate, so I activate "Heavenly Art of Fire - Stance 1 - Blaze", if I control 1 "Hokai, Ninja of the Graceful Flame", I can select 1 monster my opponent controls and "Hokai"(s) ATK are increased by half of the selected monster's ATK, so I select your "Chaos Spirit Lava" and "Hokai" gains 800 ATK (1400 + 800 = 2200 ATK) Now "Hokai, Ninja of the Graceful Flame" destroy his "Chaos Spirit Lava". (Nick counters: I activate the trap "Spirit Sacrifice", when this card is activated, by sending 1 "Chaos Spirit" from my Deck to my Graveyard, the Battle Phase ends.) Fine. I play 2 cards face-down and end my turn. During the End Phase "Heavenly Art of Fire - Stance 1 - Blaze" was activated, I take damage equal to half the ATK of the selected monster. (Kizuna: LP 7200) (Nick counters: During the End Phase, I activated "Spirit Sacrifice", I draw 1 card. (Nick: Hand: 4)

Nick/ 4 cards/ LP 8000

Kizuna/ 3 cards/ LP 7200

Nick: Turn 3

I draw. (Kizuna counters: I activate the trap "Graceful Art - Summon Stance", when this card is activated, I can Special Summon 1 LV4 or lower Warrior-type monster with "Graceful" in it's name from my hand or Deck, then I can send Spell Cards with the Special Summoned monster name in its text to the Graveyard, so I Special Summon "Kazeki, Ninja of the Graceful Wind"(LV4/WIND/Warrior/Effect/ATK/1700 DEF/1100) and I send my spell cards to the Graveyard. (Kizuna: Deck: 69) Since "Chaos Spirit Darklight"(LV5/DARK/Spirit/Effect/ATK/1600 DEF/1500) is in my Graveyard, I can summon a LV5 or higher "Chaos Spirit" or "Zeo The Chaos Warrior" without tributing. (Kizuna thinks: Finally.) I summon "Zeo The Chaos Warrior"(LV7/LIGHT/Warrior/Effect/ATK/2500 DEF/2200) (Kizuna counters: That's what I was waiting for! I activate the trap "Arrival of the Graceful Master", when this card is activated, if I control 2 monsters with "Graceful" in their name, I can Special Summon "Zan'Kai, Master of the Graceful Arts"(LV7/LIGHT/Warrior/Effect/ATK/2500 DEF/1600) from my Deck. Since he was Special Summoned, his effect activates, I tribute both of my "Graceful" monsters and his name is also treated as the monsters I tributed and he gains their effects. Plus, his own.) Now I play the Field Spell "Chaos Realm". I haven't used this in a long time. Almost makes you feel homesick. Anyway, while this card is on the field, "Zeo" gains 1000 ATK & DEF. (2500 + 1000 = 3500 ATK/ 2200 + 1000 = 3200 DEF) Now I play the spell "Level Draw", by paying 500 LP (Nick: LP 7500) I can select 1 monster on the field and draw cards equal to half its level, so I choose "Zeo" and draw 3 cards. (Nick: Hand: 5) (Kizuna counters: In that case, I activate "Zan'Kai"(s) effect and activate one of "Hokai"(s) spells, so I activate "Heavenly Art of Fire - Stance 1 - Blaze" again, so I choose your "Zeo The Chaos Warrior" with the ATK it already has. (2500 + 1750 = 4250 ATK) Hold on. You.. (Kizuna says: My "Graceful" monsters effects can be activated during either players turn. Did I forget to mention?) Alright. Two can play at that game. I play the Equip Spell "Chaos Sword" and I equip it to "Zeo", increasing his ATK by 1000. (3500 + 1000 = 4500 ATK) Now "Zeo The Chaos Warrior" destroy his "Zan'Kai, Master of the Graceful Arts" and when "Zeo" attacks, he gains 500 ATK during damage calculation. (4500 + 500 = 5000 ATK) (Kizuna counters: Now I activate one of "Kazeki"(s) spells, so I activate the spell "Heavenly Art of Wind - Stance 4 - Fly", while "Kazeki, Ninja of the Graceful Wind" is on the field, I can return 1 Spell or Trap Card you control to your Deck, so I return your "Chaos Sword".) (5000 - 1000 = 4000 ATK) In that case, I activate the trap "Z-Guard", when this card is activated, it becomes an Equip Spell Card and is equipped to "Zeo". While equipped "Zeo" can't be destroyed in battle. (Kizuna says: But you still take damage.) (Nick: LP 7250) Then I play the spell "Double Summon", so I can summon again, so I summon "Chaos Spirit Searon"(LV3/FIRE/Spirit/Effect/ATK/600 DEF/800) Now "Chaos Spirit Searon" and "Chaos Spirit Lava" use "Spirit Cross Fusion" to summon "Chaos Spirit Inferno"(LV6/FIRE/Spirit/Fusion/Effect/ATK/2100 DEF/1500) Now I activate his effect, once per turn, I can select and set 1 Spell or Trap Card from my Deck on to my field. That's not all. "Chaos Spirit Inferno" gains 300 ATK & DEF for every Spell & Trap Card on the field. I play 1 card face-down and end my turn and "Inferno"(s) ATK goes up by 900. (2100 + 900 = 3000 ATK/ 1500 + 900 = 2400 DEF) And you take damage equal to half of "Zeo"(s) ATK. (Kizuna counters: I activate another one of "Kazekl"(s) spells, so I activate "Heavenly Art of Wind - Stance 5 - Ascend". If I take damage from a card effect, instead taking damage, my LP increase by the same amount. (Kizuna: LP 8950) (Nick thinks: Man, he's good. No wonder that kid had a hard time with him. If I play this strategy right...)

Nick/ 1 card/ LP 7250

Kizuna/ 3 cards/ LP 8950

Field: "Chaos Realm"

Kizuna: Turn 4

I draw. I summon "Mizuki, Ninja of the Graceful Tide"(LV4/WATER/Warrior/Effect/ATK/1200 DEF/1400) Now her effect activates, when she's Normal Summoned, I can send Spell Cards from my hand or Deck to the Graveyard with her name in the card text. (Kizuna: Deck: 63) Now "Zan'Kai"(s) effect activates, when a "Graceful" monster is summoned, I can tribute it and his name is also treated as the name of the tributed "Graceful" monster. (Niick thinks: I wonder what this one does?) Now I equip "Zan'Kai" with "Flight of the Crossroads", which give him 1000 more ATK. (2500 + 1000 = 3500 ATK)

Kizuna threw a card at Nick's foot. Nick picked it up and it was the same card Rein found.

"What does this card mean?" asked Nick.

"It's a choice." said Kizuna.

"A... choice?" said Nick.

"Between life and death." said Kizuna. "Do you choose life just to protect yourself instead caring for the people you care about? Or do you choose death in order to lay down your life for people you care for and your world? I've asked all of my opponents that same question and it's as I thought."

"You mean..." said Nick.

"They chose life for their own selfish reasons." said Kizuna. "So tell me, Nick. Which do you choose!?"

Nick's face looked concerned.

"So be it." said Kizuna.

Nick/ 1 card/ LP 7250

Kizuna/ 2 cards/ LP 8950

Field: "Chaos Realm"

Kizuna: Turn 4 (cont.)

I activate "Flight of the Crossroads"(s) effect, once per turn, I can increase "Zan'Kai"(s) ATK by 500 equal to the number of "Graceful" monsters in my Graveyard, so he gains 1500 ATK. (3500 + 1500 = 5000 ATK) Also, he can attack the same number of times equal to the number of "Graceful" monsters in my Graveyard. Now I activate "Heavenly Art of Fire - Stance 1 - Blaze" again from my Graveyard, so I choose your "Zeo". (5000 + 1750 = 6750 ATK) Not only that. I activate another one of "Hokai"(s) spells known as "Heavenly Art of Fire - Stance 2 - Flurry", when 1 "Hokai, Ninja of the Graceful Flame" destroys 1 monster my opponent controls, you take damage equal its ATK. Now "Zan'Kai" FINISH THIS!! (Nick says: You wanted an answer, right?) Huh? (Nick counters: Here's your answer! I activate the Quick-Play Spell "Spirit Reinforcement", when this card is activated, if I control 1 "Zeo The Chaos Warrior", I can select 1 "Chaos Spirit" on the field and increase "Zeo"(s) ATK times the level of the selected "Chaos Spirit", so I choose "Chaos Spirit Inferno"(LV6) (3500 x 6 = 21000 ATK) Not only that. "Zeo" is your only target and we both take damage from your attack.) In that case I... (Nick counters: Oh no you don't. I activate the Continuous Trap "Skill Drain", so I pay 1000 LP (Nick: LP 6250). Now all of our monsters effects are negated.) Then we both lose. (Nick counters: Not quite. I activate the trap "Half in Half", when thsi card is activated, I take half the damage times the number of monsters I control, rounded down. This is my answer. I choose to protect the people important to me. whether in life, or death.) (Kizuna: (smiles).)

Nick: LP 2687/ Winner

Kizuna: LP 0/ Defeated

Kizuna fell to his knees, but then got back up and said something.

"I was right about you." said Kizuna.

"Wait." said Nick. "Was this a test?"

"Yes." said Kizuna. "And I'm pleased to say you passed."

"Why did you have me go through this?" asked Nick.

"Well, you see. 10 years ago today, my sister was sucked in to a different dimension along with her friends and almost half of the people of this town." said Kizuna. "I've been dueling as a rouge duelist to recruit people to help me find a way into that dimension to save her."

"Why can't you go to that dimension yourself?" asked Nick.

"The way into that dimension was sealed years ago by a powerful duelist." said Kizuna. "I'm trying recruit people in order to find some intel on a way into that world, but so far all the people I dueled were all obsessed with their own reasons to live."

"So that's why you kept asking them the same question." said Nick. "To see if they're like you. Alright, I'll help you find your sister."

"Really?" said Kizuna.

Nick held out his hand meaning that he wants to be friends. Kizuna shook Nick's hand.

"Oh yeah." said Kizuna. "I heard about your Tag match in the tournament. I hope you win against those Dark Signers and send them back where they came from."

"I'm not dueling to destroy the Dark Signers." said Nick. "I'm dueling to save them."

"I see." said Kizuna. "Til' then, later."

Kizuna jumped to the buildings like a ninja and left. Nick returned to his hotel room and went back to bed, until at the last second, the alarm clock rings.

"OH MY GOD!" yelled Nick in frustration. "YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW!"

Card of the Day: "Chaos Spirit Inferno"

Well, Nick won the duel and had made a new friend in need of help. Yet, he's going to have insomnia if he keeps staying up all night dueling. "Next Chapter"! Nick, Rachel, Alice, and Rein start off the day practicing for Nick and Rachel Tag-Match by having a practice Tag-Duel. I hope Nick and Rachel are in for a surprise from this match-up. Will Nick and Rachel prevail, or will Rein and Alice take home title? Find out next time. Until then, KEEP ON DUELING!!

Awesome Chapter 64 Haou! I like how you yourself pointed out the obvious flaw in the Queen's strategy, as well as that this last duel is a Tag Duel. I have certain thoughts and predictions about this idea, but I don't want any spoilers, so I'll try to remember to tell you what they were AFTER that chapter is done.

Chapter 65 looks promising. I can't wait for these Ninja cards.

Here's Chapter 66 everyone. Enjoy.
Everyone woke up and Rein and Alice got ready for their practice match. Rachel went to see what Nick was yelling about, so she walked into his room.

"Nick, are you okay?" asked Rachel.

Rachel saw that his eyes were wide open.

"Another... sleepless... night." said Nick.

"Come on." said Rachel. "You dealt with that before."

"Yeah, but here's the difference, I'm angry about it." said Nick. "I have a match at noon, plus the practice match we're about to have and yet, I got no wink of sleep."

While Nick was talking, Rachel fixed a cup of decaf coffee to get Nick to shut up. Nick drank the coffee.

"Thanks." said Nick. "I think I'm good to go. Alright, let's practice."

Nick got ready and grabbed his Duel Disk and Deck and headed out where Rein and Alice were.

"Are you guys ready to lose?" said Nick.

"You won't be saying that once you see the strategy we planned all night." said Rein.

"So you two were together the whole night." said Nick with one of his eyebrows up.

"That's not what I meant!" yelled Rein. "Will you knock it off with that?!"

"Sorry." said Nick. "Remember, since this is a Tag-Duel, we can share each others cards. Alright, let's go."

"Right." said Rein.

"Right." said Rachel.

"Right." said Alice.

Duel!

Nick & Rachel/ Total: 10 cards/ LP 16000

Rein & Alice/ Total: 10 cards/ LP 16000

Rein: Turn 1

I draw. I play the spell "Cross of Dimensions", when this card is activated, we all select 1 Field Spell from our Decks and we can activate them, but if you don't have a Field Spell, you can draw 4 cards and take 1000 points of damage, so I activate "Wolf Forest-Canis Paradise". (Nick says: I activate "Chaos Realm".) (Alice says: I activate "Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt".) (Rachel says: And I activate "Angelic Utopia".) Now I play the spell "Double Summon", so I can summon twice this turn, so I summon "Lunar-Swordsman-Tempest"(LV4/WIND/Warrior/Effect/ATK/1100 DEF/1000) and "Lunar-Werewolf-Sand"(LV4/EARTH/Beast-Warrior/Effect/ATK/1950 DEF/500) And thanks to my field's effect, all Warrior-type, Beast-type, and Beast-Warrior-type gain 200 ATK & DEF (1100 + 200 = 1300 ATK/ 1000 + 200 = 1200 DEF) (1950 + 200 = 2150 ATK/ 500 + 200 = 700 DEF) Next, I play "Graceful Charity", so I draw 3 cards (Rein: Hand: 4) and discard 2. (Rein: Hand: 2) I play 2 cards face-down and end my turn.

Nick & Rachel/ Total: 10 cards/ LP 16000

Rein & Alice/ Total: 5 cards/ LP 16000

Field: "Angelic Utopia", "Chaos Realm", "Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt", "Wolf Forest-Canis Paradise"

Nick: Turn 2

I draw. I also play "Double Summon", so I can summon "Chaos Spirit Landcaron"(LV4/EARTH/Spirit/Effect/ATK/900 DEF/850) and "Chaos Spirit Forester"(LV4/EARTH/Spirit/Effect/ATK/1200 DEF/2000) Now I play the spell "Triple Summon", if I already Normal Summoned this turn, I can add in 2 more Normal Summons, so I summon "Chaos Spirit Windcon"(LV4/WIND/Spirit/Effect/ATK/850 DEF/700) and "Chaos Spirit Starnos"(LV4/WIND/Spirit/Effect/ATK/1800 DEF/1400) Now I activate "Chaos Spirit Starnos"(s) effect, when he's Normal Summoned or Special Summoned, I can choose to activate 1 of his 2 effects, so I activate his first effect, which allows me to add a "Chaos Spirit" to my hand equal to the number of cards in my hand and since I have 1 card, I add "Chaos Spirit Lava"(LV4/FIRE/Spirit/Effect/ATK/1600 DEF/1000) to my hand. Now "Chaos Spirit Landcaron" and "Chaos Spirit Forester" use "Spirit Cross Fusion" to summon "Chaos Spirit Plateau"(LV6/EARTH/Spirit/Fusion/Effect/ATK/2100 DEF/1500) Now I play the spell "Level Draw", by paying 500 LP (Nick: LP 15500) I can select 1 monster on the field and draw cards equal to half the level of the selected monster, so I choose "Chaos Spirit Plateau", so I draw 3 cards. (Nick: Hand: 4) Now "Windcon"(s) effect activates, for every card I draw, I regain 500 LP for each one. Since I drew 3, I gain 1500 LP (Nick: LP 17000) Now "Chaos Spirit Windcon" and "Chaos Spirit Starnos" use "Spirit Cross Fusion" to summon "Chaos Spirit Typhoon"(LV6/WIND/Spirit/Fusion/Effect/ATK/2100 DEF/1500) Now I activate "Typhoon"(s) effect, once per turn, I draw 1 card. If that card is a "Chaos Spirit", "Typhoon" can attack directly. (Nick: Hand: 5/ looks at card) It's "Chaos Spirit Searon"(LV3/FIRE/Spirit/Effect/ATK/600 DEF/800). Now "Chaos Spirit Plateau" destroy his "Lunar-Swordsman-Tempest". Now his effect activates, during my Battle Phase, once per turn, I can return 1 monster on the field to your Deck, so I return your "Lunar-Werewolf-Sand". (Rein counters: Not so fast. I activate the trap "Lunar Trials", by paying 1000 LP (Rein: LP 15000) I can negate your attack and end the Battle Phase, then I can Special Summon 1 LV4 or lower "Lunar" monster from my Graveyard, so I Special Summon "Lunar-Werewolf-Gust"(LV4/WIND/Beast-Warrior/Effect/ATK/500 DEF/1950) Your "Lunar-Werewolf-Sand" is still returned. (Rein counters: Then I activate the trap "Wolf Parade", when I successfully summon a "Lunar" monster, by paying 3000 LP (Rein: LP 12000) I can Special Summon 2 Fusion "Lunar" monsters from my Extra Deck, so I Special Summon "Lunar-Guardian-Dawn"(LV6/LIGHT/Beast-Warrior/Fusion/Effect/ATK/2000 DEF/2000) and "Lunar-Guardian-Dusk"(LV6/DARK/Beast-Warrior/Fusion/Effect/ATK/2000 DEF/2000) Thanks to the field, he gains 200 ATK & DEF. (2000 + 200 = 2200 ATK & DEF Both) I play 2 cards face-down and end my turn.

Nick & Rachel/ Total: 8 cards/ LP 17000

Rein & Alice/ Total: 5 cards/ LP 12000

Field: "Angelic Utopia", "Chaos Realm", "Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt", "Wolf Forest-Canis Paradise"

Alice: Turn 3

I draw. I activate my "Easter Egg 1", "Easter Egg 3", "Easter Egg 4", and "Easter Egg 10" Continuous Spells. First, "Easter Egg 1"(s) effect lets me regain 500 LP once per turn. (Alice: LP 12500) "Easter Egg 3"(s) effect lets me draw 1 card once per turn. (Alice: Hand: 3) "Easter Egg 4"(s) effect makes you discard 1 card from your hand. (Nick: Hand: 2) Finally, "Easter Egg 10" lets me Special Summon 1 LV3 or higher monster from my hand and you Special Summon a monster from your hand that is 2 levels lower, so I Special Summon "Egg Treasurer"(LV3/EARTH/Dragon/Effect/ATK/1500 DEF/1000). (Nick says: I Special Summon "Shining Kuriboh"(LV1/LIGHT/Fairy/Effect/ATK/300 DEF/200) in Defense Position.) Next, I play the spell "Egg Draw", when this card is activated, I can draw cards from my Deck equal to the number of "Easter Egg" or "Bad Egg" Continuous Spells I control, so I draw 4 cards. (Alice: Hand: 5) Now I play the spell "Mysterious Disappearance of Eggs 2", when this card is activated, I can remove from play 4 "Easter Egg" or "Bad Egg" Continuous Spells I control and their treated as being removed from play by "Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt". Now I activate my field's effect, once per turn, I can activate a "Easter Egg" Continuous Spell from my Deck, so I activate "Easter Egg 7" and its effect lets me destroy 1 monster you control, so I destroy your "Chaos Spirit Plateau". (Nick counters: I activate the trap "Mystic Veil", when this card is activated, none of the cards I control are destroyed by card effects this turn.) In that case, I activate my field's second effect, I can remove an "Easter Egg" Continuous Spell I control from play, so I remove "Easter Egg 7". Now since there are 5 "Easter Egg" Continuous Spells removed from play, I can Special Summon "Easter Knight"(LV7/EARTH/Warrior/Effect/ATK/2400 DEF/1500) Now I equip him with "Easter Egg Scepter", increasing his ATK by 1000. (2400 + 1000 = 3400 ATK) and thanks to Rein's field, he gains another 200 ATK. (3400 + 200 = 3600 ATK) Now I activate "Easter Egg Scepter"(s) effect, once per turn, I can activate the effect of a removed "Easter Egg" Continuous Spell, so I activate "Easter Egg 4"(s) effect again, so you discard 1 card from your hand. (Nick: Hand: 0) Now "Easter Knight" destroy his "Chaos Spirit Typhoon". (Nick counters: I activate the trap "Stand your Ground", when this card is activated, my monsters aren't destroyed in battle this turn.) But there' still damage. (Nick: LP 15700) Now I'll have Rein's "Lunar-Guardian-Dawn" and "Lunar-Guardian-Dusk" attack your "Chaos Spirit Plateau". (Nick: LP 15500) Now I activate "Easter Egg 2" and "Easter Egg 5". "Easter Egg 2" deals you 500 points of damage. (Nick: LP 15000) "Easter Egg 5" allows me to pay 1500 LP (Alice: LP 11000) to draw 2 cards. (Alice: Hand: 3) I play 2 cards face-down and end my turn.

Nick & Rachel/ Total: 5 cards/ LP 15000

Rein & Alice/ Total: 1 card/ LP 11000

Field: "Angelic Utopia", "Chaos Realm", "Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt", "Wolf Forest-Canis Paradise"

Rachel: Turn 4

I draw. I play the spell "Double Summon", so I summon twice as well, so I summon "Cyber Angel - Sarah"(LV4/LIGHT/Fairy/Effect/ATK/1500 DEF/1200) and "Cyber Angel - Yumi"(LV3/LIGHT/Fairy/Effect/ATK/1400 DEF/1400) Now their effects activate. "Sarah" gains 500 ATK equal to the number of LV5 or higher monsters you control and since you have 3, she gains 1500 ATK. (1500 + 1500 = 3000 ATK) "Yumi" gains 300 ATK for every LV4 or lower monster you control, since you have 2, she gains 600 ATK. (1400 + 600 = 2000) Now I activate my field's effect, once per turn, I can activate 1 of my field's effect based on the level of monsters you control, so I activate my level 5-6 effect, I can choose 1 LV5 or higher monster you control and I can choose 1 "Cyber Angel" I control and the selected "Cyber Angel" gains half of the selected monsters ATK, so I choose your "Easter Knight" and I choose my "Cyber Angel - Sarah". (3000 + 1700 = 4700 ATK) Now I activate "Cyber Angel - Sarah"(s) effect, once per turn, while you control a LV5 or higher monster, I can Special Summon 1 LV4 or lower "Cyber Angel" from my Deck, so I Special Summon "Cyber Angel - Jane"(LV4/LIGHT/Fairy/Effect/ATK/1700 DEF/1400) Now her effect activates, she gains 200 ATK for every LV4 or higher monster you control and since you have 4, she gains 800 ATK. (1700 + 800 = 2500 ATK) Now I activate her other effect, once per turn, if you control a LV4 or higher monster, I can destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on the field, so I can destroy your "Easter Egg Scepter". (Alice counters: I activate the Continuous Trap "Egg Barrier", when this card is activated, I can place Egg Counter(s) on it equal to the number of "Easter Egg" and "Bad Egg" Continuous Spells removed from play, so it gets 5 Egg Counter(s) (EC: 5) That still won't stop the destruction of your "Easter Egg Scepter". (Alice counters: Now my "Easter Egg Scepter"(s) effect activates, when it is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, I can place every "Easter Egg" Continuous Spell that was removed from play into my Graveyard and you 500 points of damage for each one, since there was 5, you take 2500 points of damage.) (Rachel: LP 12500) Now "Cyber Angel - Yumi" destroy Rein's "Lunar-Swordsman-Tempest". (Alice counters: By removing 1 Egg Counter, I can negate your attack. (EC: 4) Then I have "Cyber Angel - Sarah" destroy your "Easter Knight". (Alice counters: I remove another. (EC: 3) Then I'll have Nick's "Chaos Spirit Plateau" destroy Rein's "Lunar-Swordsman-Tempest" and thanks to his effect, I can return your "Easter Knight" to your Deck. (Alice counters: Darn. I negate your attack again. (EC: 2) Now "Cyber Angel - Jane" destroy Rein's "Lunar-Guardian-Dawn". (Alice counters: I'll still negate it. (EC: 1) Last one. I'll have Nick's "Chaos Spirit Typhoon". (Alice counters: That was your last attack. (EC: 0) Since there are no more Egg Counter(s) my "Egg Barrier" is destroyed. That's the end of your Battle Phase.) Is it? (Alice says: What?) (Nick says: Oh yeah. I forgot another one of "Plateau"(s) effects, he can attack equal to the number of cards in our hands.) (Rein says: No!) Yes. Now "Chaos Spirit Plateau" destroy Rein's "Lunar-Swordsman-Tempest" and Alice's "Egg Treasurer". (Alice counters: I activate the trap "Preparations for Easter", when this card is activated, by removing 2 "Easter Egg" Continuous Spells from my field and 3 from my Deck, I can add 1 "Easter Knight" from my Deck to my hand and the Continuous Spell are treated as being removed from play by "Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt".) You still take damage. (Rein counters: Not quite. I activate "Lunar-Swordsman-Tempest"(s) effect, during either players turn, twice per turn, by paying 650 LP, I can destroy 1 card on the field, so I pay 1300 LP (Rein: LP 9700) and I destroy "Chaos Spirit Plateau" and "Cyber Angel - Sarah".) I play 2 cards face-down and end my turn.

Nick & Rachel/ Total: 1 card/ LP 12500

Rein & Alice/ Total: 2 cards/ LP 9700

Field: "Angelic Utopia", "Chaos Realm", "Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt", "Wolf Forest-Canis Paradise"

Rein: Turn 5

I draw. I play the spell "Level Draw", so I pay 500 LP (Rein: LP 9200) and I can select 1 monster on the field and draw cards equal to half its level, so I choose "Lunar-Guardian-Dawn", so I draw 3 cards. (Rein: Hand: 3) Now I activate both "Lunar-Guardian-Dawn" and "Lunar-Guardian-Dusk"(s) effect. "Dawn"(s) effect lets me destroy 2 cards on the field and "Dusk"(s) effect lets me destroy 2 face-down Spell & Traps you control. (Rachel counters: I activate the Counter Trap "Angelic Wave", when this card is activated, I can negate the effects of a number of monster you control equal to the number of "Cyber Angel"(s) I control until the End Phase, since I have 2, I can negate your "Dawn"(s) and "Dusk"(s) effect.) In that case, I activate "Lunar-Werewolf-Gust"(s) effect, once per turn, if I control "Lunar-Wolf-Hurricane", I can return 1 monster you control to your hand and I can use this effect thanks to "Lunar-Swordsman-Tempest"(s) effect, his name is also treated as "Lunar-Wolf-Hurricane" and "Lunar-Werewolf-Gust", so now I return your "Cyber Angel - Jane" your hand. Now I activate "Lunar-Swordsman-Tempest", I pay 1300 LP (Rein: LP 8400) and I destroy your last "Cyber Angel" and Nick's "Shining Kuriboh". (Rein thinks: When I think back, if Nick uses "Shining Kuriboh"(s) to remove him from play, that would leave us at a disadvantage, but not if I get rid of the only monster they have. I know just the monster to use.) I activate my field's effect, so I fuse both "Lunar-Swordsman-Tempest" and "Lunar-Werewolf-Gust" to Fusion Summon "Lunar-Guardian-Tempest"(LV6/WIND/Beast-Warrior/Fusion/Effect/ATK/1900 DEF/2100) and he gains 200 ATK & DEF (1900 + 200 = 2100 ATK/ 2100 + 200 = 2300 DEF) Now I activate his effect, once per turn, I can return 1 card on the field to the top of my opponent's Deck, so I return your "Chaos Spirit Typhoon" to your Extra Deck. Now I switch "Egg Treasurer" to Attack Position. (ATK: 1500) Now "Lunar-Guardian-Dawn" attack Rachel directly. (Nick and Rachel looked at each other and nodded) Huh? (Rachel counters: Gotcha. I activate the Continuous Trap "Revival of the Angel", when this card is activated, I can Special Summon 1 "Cyber Angel" in my Graveyard and she is your only attack target, so I revive "Cyber Angel - Sarah"(LV4/LIGHT/Fairy/Effect/ATK/1500 DEF/1200) and her effect increase her ATK by 500 for every LV5 or higher monster you control. (1500 + 1500 = 3000 ATK) Then I choose to end... (Nick counters: Not so fast, I play the Quick-Play Spell "Heated Battle", when this card is activated on a Battle Phase, all monster must attack this turn, also we both take damage from the battle, but that's not all. By removing "Shining Kuriboh" from play, I can select 1 monster on the field and double its ATK, so I choose "Cyber Angel - Sarah". (3000 x 2 = 6000 ATK) (Rachel says: Now "Lunar-Guardian-Dawn" attack my "Cyber Angel - Sarah".) (Rachel: LP 8700/ Rein: LP 4600) (Rachel says: With one LV5 or higher monster gone, "Sarah"(s) ATK go down (6000 - 500 = 5500 ATK), but it's still enough to end this. "Lunar-Guardian-Dusk" attack my "Cyber Angel - Sarah".) No! (Rachel: LP 5400/ Rein: LP 1300) (Rachel says: Last one. (5500 - 500 = 5000 ATK) "Lunar-Guardian-Tempest" attack my "Cyber Angel - Sarah" and end this duel!) NOOO!!!

Nick & Rachel: LP 2500/ Winner

Rein & Alice: LP 0/ Defeated

"Alright, we won!" yelled Rachel.

"Darn!" said Rein. "I thought I had your strategy figured out. I thought you were..."

"Planning on using "Shining Kuriboh"(s) effect to double up "Chaos Spirit Typhoon"(s) attack power?" said Nick.

"Yes." said Rein. "Yes I did."

"Well that was my plan at first, but then I saw "Tempest" and "Gust" in the background." said Nick. "I've seen you duel with them before and so I knew you would bring out "Lunar-Guardian-Tempest" to stop my plan, but then I realized Rachel also had something up her sleeve, so I went with it and it worked out great."

"I didn't know you were that perceptive." said Rein.

"And you never will." said Nick.

Nick looked at the building with the time on it. It was 11:54 AM.

"Oh shoot." said Nick in a hurry. "We got to get to the stadium and fast."

Nick and everyone got on their Duel Runners and rode as fast as they can to the Kaibadome. Meanwhile where Knight and Makayla are.

"It's time." said Knight.

"Right." said Makayla.

They both got on their Duel Runners and rode to the Kaibadome as well. Everyone went to the rest area to converse with each other, then the announcer came on the screen.

"Welcome, Ladies and Gentlemen!" yelled the announcer. "It's the moment you have all been waiting for. The Final Round of the Duelist Rising Tournament!"

Everyone cheered and roared for the excitement of the Duel.

"Now let's bring out our final competitors." yelled the announcer.

"Well, wish us luck." said Nick.

"See ya." said Rachel.

Meanwhile where Knight and Makayla are...

"Don't fail me, Knight." said the Emperor.

"Yes, your majesty." said Knight bowing.

"I'll defeat him for sure, Master Wiraq." said Makayla as she kneeled.

"Good luck." said Wiraq.

Nick, Rachel, Knight, and Makayla stepped out to the stadium.

"From Team Satellite, it's Nick Cunningham and Rachel Sharpton." yelled the announcer.

The crowd hollered and roared again.

"And from seperate teams, Team Ultimate Kingdom's, Kingdom - Royal Knight and Team Dark Signer's Makayla Sharpton." yelled the announcer.

The crowd cheered for Knight but they were also booing Makayla.

"Announcer." said Makayla.

"Yes?" said the announcer.

"Could you please stand clear from the area and into the stands?" asked Makayla.

"Huh?" said the announcer. "Sure."

("She's not gonna do "that" is she?" thought Nick.)

The announcer ran as fast as he can to the stands and said...

"It looks like I'll be observing the Duel from here." said the announcer.

Makayla then called upon the power of her mark and surrounded them with purple flames. The flames shaped themselves to look like her mark.

"Nick." said Rachel worrying.

Nick looked concerned, but not afraid.

"So... you're serious." said Nick.

Makayla made a sadistic smile.

"We never agreed on this." said Knight.

"Like you said, I don't have to trust you, just work with you." said Makayla.

Knight then looked annoyed.

"Very well." said Knight.

"Uh... erm... well are our duelists ready?" said the announcer freaking out.

"Ready!" yelled Nick & Rachel as they readied their Duel Disks.

"Ready!" yelled Knight & Makayla as they readied their Duel Disks.

"All right. I guess." said the announcer all scared. "Duel.... Start!"

"DUEL!!" yelled everyone.

Card of the Day: "Cyber Angel - Sarah"

It has all come down to this, the final battle of the tournament, but it might also be the final battle of their lives. "Next Chapter"! Nick and Rachel right now are in a tough spot, but I know their resolve is stronger than anything else. Will Nick and Rachel defeat and end this madness, or will the Dark Signer's dream be realized? Find out next time. Until then, KEEP ON DUELING!!
