The announcer came up on the plasma screen in the rest area. "Alright! Our next contestants are from Team Satellite and Team Ultimate Kingdom." said the announcer. "From Team Satellite its the kid with the mind of 100 researchers, Link! And from Team Ultimate Kingdom it's the second respected man of their country, the Kingdom - King!" "Alright! Now it's my turn, so look out!" yelled Link. "Which "Synchronized" Deck are you playing with?" asked Rein. "My Tuner "Synchronized" Deck of course." said Link. "I'll test the other one next round when I win." "If you win." said Malcolm as he and Madeline came over. "Huh?" said Link. "Malcolm's right, Link." said Madeline. "Our father shows no fear when it comes to Dueling, so I would keep my guard up." "Don't sweat it." said Link. "I've never lost with this Deck before." "Yes you have." said Nick stating the obvious. "Well there was that one time with you, but not this time." said Link. "I've been cooking up strategies to use on my opponents during the tournament, so I'll be able to win hands down. Just you watch." said Link walking out of the rest area. "He's going to lose." said Destiny. "What?" asked Nick. "Your friend is going to lose and there's nothing we can do about it." said Destiny. "Aw man. Link." said Nick all worried. They stepped out to the arena with their Duel Disks. "Are our competitors ready?" asked the announcer. "You bet!" yelled Link. "Yes." said King. They readied their Duel Disks. "Alright!" yelled the announcer. "Duel........ Start!" Duel!Link/ 5 cards/ LP 8000King/ 5 cards/ LP 8000 Link: Turn 1I draw. I play the Continuous Spell "Synchronized Gate", whenever I Normal Summon a "Synchronized" monster, I can Special Summon 1 "Synchronized" from my Deck. Next, I activate the Field Spell "Reverse-Synchronized Realm". Now I summon "Synchronized Frog"(LV2/WATER/Aqua/Tuner/ATK/1000 DEF/0) Now the effect of "Synchronized Gate" activates, so I Special Summon "Synchronized Angel"(LV4/LIGHT/Fairy/Tuner/ATK/1500 DEF/1000) Now I play the spell "Double Summon", so I can summon again this turn, so I summon another "Synchronized Angel"(LV4/LIGHT/Fairy/Tuner/ATK/1500 DEF/1000) And since I Normal Summoned again, I can Special Summon "Synchronized Arsonist"(LV5/FIRE/Pyro/Tuner/ATK/1500 DEF/500) Now I'm tuning my "Angel"(LV4) with my "Frog"(LV2). I noted every card known to Duel Monsters and came up with strategies to beat them, so how could I lose my first match?!" Then Nick, Madeline, and Malcolm came in. "Because you were too full of yourself." said Nick. "Huh?" said Link. "You kept ranting on about you winning and getting all the glory that you lost sight of the Duel and you lost your chance to win." said Malcolm. "That's what led you to this." Link got up and took a moment of silence to think about what he did. "Aw man. You're right." said Link. "Guys, I'm sorry for the way I acted. I was just excited about entering this tournament and I let the urge to win get the better of me." "Don't worry about it." said Nick. "Alright, let's get you back to the rest area, because, my goodness, you look horrible." "Heh, heh, heh." laughed Link. Meanwhile where King is... "Well done, King." said the Emperor. "When will our time to strike come, your majesty?" asked King. "Patience." said the Emperor. "We'll strike as soon as our friend tells us it's time. Isn't that right... Wiraq?" Wiraq came out of the shadows and appeared in front of Team Ultimate Kingdom, without Malcolm or Madeline. "Indeed, I will." said Wiraq. "And soon, the entire Duel Monster Realm will bow at our knees." "I'm going now." said a voice. "Don't lose on me, Makayla." said Wiraq. "After all, you are facing one of the Signers." "That little girl won't stand a chance." said Makayla as she walked out to the arena. "Alright! Our next competitors are one our Signers from Team Satellite, Miss Luna! And from Team Dark Signer, the one who bears the mark of the Hummingbird, Makayla Sharpton!" yelled the announcer. Nick looked back and saw Makayla in her Dark Signer outfit and looked in her cold, Black, Dark Signer eyes. ("Makayla." thought Nick. "How did this happen? You're own sister is watching you about to Duel as a Dark Signer and yet you just stand there and look as if nothing mattered to you at all. Since you're facing Luna, you'll probably call upon your mark. And if that happens, Luna... Please bring her back.") Luna walked up to the arena where Makayla is at, then Makayla called upon a circle of purple flame. ("Oh no!" thought Luna. "She didn't put us in her Earthbound Immortals mark. Now what?") "Are you duelists ready?" asked the announcer. "Yes." said Makayla looking angry. ("After I'm done with you, I'm going after my true target." thought Makayla.) Makayla looked off behind Luna and looked at Nick. ("Nick." thought Makayla angrily. "I'll make you pay for what you did.") "Yes, I'm ready." said Luna. "Alright!" yelled the announcer. "Duel..... Start!" "Let's Duel!" yelled Luna and Makayla. Card of the Day: "Kingdom - Artilery" Link's overreactive head got the better of him when he lost, but in the end, he learned a valuable lesson. Anyways, it looks like Team Ultimate Kingdom and Team Dark Signer are plotting together to see the destruction of Neo Domino and soon the whole entire Duel Monster Realm will be at stake. "Next Chapter"! It's Luna versus Makayla in a Shadow Duel between Signer and Dark Signer, but it looks like one of them will lose and I fear it won't be the person you were hoping to lose. (flips over card) So I add "Horn of the Unicorn" to my hand. And now I equip "Horn of the Unicorn" to "Sunlight Unicorn", which gives her 700 ATK & DEF. (Luna counters: I activate the trap "Dimensional Prison", when this card is activated, the attacking monster is removed from play.) Fool! "Earthbound Immortal Aslla Piscu"(s) effect activates when it's removed from the field. (Luna says: Oh no!) When "Aslla Piscu" is removed from the field, all of your monsters are destroyed and you take 800 points of damage for each one, so say goodbye to 2400 of you LP. (Luna: AAAAAAHHH!!!/ LP 5400) "Luna!" yelled Leo. "Yusei!" said Nick. "Right! Let's go!" said Yusei as him and Nick hurried to the arena. Luna/ 0 cards/ LP 5400Makayla/ 3 cards/ LP 8000Field: "Dark Thorn Garden" Makayla: Turn 4 (cont.)But the fun doesn't stop there. "Dark Thorn - Butterfly" attack her directly! (Luna: AAAAAAAHH!!!/ LP 2800) (Luna thinks: Even if she attacks me with her "Dark Thorn - Dragonfly", I'll still have LP left.) Now "Dark Thorn - Dragonfly" attack her directly! Now I activate its effect. (Luna thinks: What?!) During my Battle Phase, once per turn, I can select 1 "Dark Thorn" monster on the field and this card gains 300 ATK during damage calculation for each Dark Thorn Counter on it, so I choose "Dark Thorn - Dragonfly" and since it has 5 Dark Thorn Counter(s) on it, he gains 1500 ATK. (2700 + 1500 = 4200 ATK) "Dark Thorn - Dragonfly" charged at Luna for the final attack until Luna let out with a yell... "HELP ME!!!!!" screamed Luna. Then Nick and Yusei came in and Yusei used his Signer powers to get them through the fire. Yusei held Luna to protect her and Nick let out with a yell... "THAT'S ENOUGH!!!" yelled Nick as he raised his left arm. He called upon his power of the Chaos Realm to his Left arm and punched back "Dark Thorn - Dragonfly" straight for Makayla. Makayla looked scared and traumatized when it came at her. Lucky for her, it completely missed and hit the wall of purple flames, but the outcome of the Duel was still accurate. Luna: LP 0/ DefeatedMakayla: LP 8000/ Winner The monsters and cards disappeared along with the circle of purple flame. And the announcer was scared stiff, but he had no choice but to call out the winner. "And.... the winner is.... (sighs)... Makayla Sharpton." said the announcer all scared. The crowd watched in silence as they saw what happened. Yusei carried Luna back to the rest area while Nick and Makayla remained as they stared at each other. "You're lucky your monster missed you." said Nick. "I'm angry now, but... I'm also glad you're alive as well." Makayla's eyes widened when she heard him. "Why are you showing me sympathy?!" asked Makayla. "Don't you hate me for what I've done to your little friend?!" "True, I hated you for what you've done to Luna." said Nick. "But the reason I said I'm glad you're alive is because I don't know how I could forgive myself if something happened to you while your sister is worrying about you!" Makayla's eyes looked bleak when she heard Nick. She then turned away and said. "Let her be worried." said Makayla. "And that Signer girl wasn't my enemy." "What do you mean by that?!" yelled Nick as Makayla stopped and turned back. "I'm only gonna say this once." said Makayla. "Nick Cunningham. You are my enemy." Nick eyes looked furious after hearing her say that as walked away. ("Makayla." thought Nick. "I swear.... I will bring you and all the others back! Even if it costs me my life! And that's why...") ("And that's why..." thought Makayla as she looked back.) ("I will defeat you!" thought Nick and Makayla.) Card of the Day: "Earthbound Immortal Aslla Piscu" Luna suffered lots of damage when she lost. And Nick and Makayla thoughts were clear as night when both thought, "I will defeat you!". This truly was the most painful part of our story. "Next Chapter"! Akiza is now up against the Kingdom - Queen of Team Ultimate Kingdom. Anyways, I've been having Internet troubles at home. I've been using my mom's work computer, but ever since she got it fixed, I haven't been able to get on yugioh-wikia to look up Akiza's cards. My mom's work station blocked it out and she can't do anything about it. So I'm stuck trying to guess what card's Akiza uses just to get by.
