[spoiler=Chapter 1]Nick Cunningham, a 14-year-old boy, height 5'12', a duelist in his time and always getting made fun of by kids at his school because he has a huge imagination and dreams of becoming the greatest card creator of all time. But sometimes when an imagination is strong enough, it becomes reality. (sighs) "No matter what I do, kids at my school always treat me like dirt. Sometimes I wish I went to a world where all my dreams come true." (yawns) "I wish." said Nick as he was drifting off to sleep. Unfortunatley, he got his wish on that one night while he was still sleeping, time had stopped and in an instant his mind and spirit were transported to an unknown dimension. "What the... Where am I?" said Nick. "You're in our... excuse me, your world Nick." said a voice. "Who are... Wait a minute. Is that you Hydroc?" asked Nick. "I knew you wouldn't forget a face when you saw it." answered Hydroc. "Then, that means i'm in the Chaos Realm, but where are the others?" asked Nick. "Nick you're here!" shouted a voice. "Yubel?" said Nick. (Just so you know that this is the daughter of Yubel, because I couldn't think of another name so I chose "Yubel".) Yubel flies right at him and hugs him. "I'm glad to see you too and in person." said Nick. "By the way, where's the troublemaker." "Well, you know the Duel Runner you imagined here?" asked Yubel. "Yeah why?" asked Nick. "Don't tell me he..." "WHOO-HOO!!!" shouted a voice. "Uh, Z, you should get off now." said Yubel. (Just so you know again, Z is Zeo-Nexus The Chaos Warrior. You see, Nick, Z, and Yubel are close friends in that dimension.) "Why should I?" asked Z. "Because I'm here idiot!" said Nick. "Oh crap!" said Z as he stopped the Duel Runner. "Hey Nick. How's it goin'?" "Save it. Now can someone tell me why i'm here?" asked Nick. "For your test of course." said Hydroc. "My...test?" said Nick. "To see if you're truly worthy to wield us Chaos Spirits." said Hydroc. "Wait, I created you guys why do you think i'm not worthy to wield you?" asked Nick. "Because you lack the power you posess." said Zeo. "Zeo, why do you say that?" asked Nick. "When you created us, you thought of us as tools in your imagination." said Zeo. "If you think of us more than that, then prove yourself by dueling every Chaos Spirit in this dimension. If you beat all of them, their spirits will be transformed into their cards and all that's left is you dueling me, so let the test begin!" A flash of light surrounds the area and the first test begins. "Now where am I?" asked Nick. "You're in our dimension." said Hydroc & Tsunami as they float. "Wait I have to duel both of you at once?" asked Nick. "That's the idea." said Tsunami. "But I don't have a deck. Whoa!" said Nick as hundreds of cards are floating around him. "You can select cards from this card database to create your Deck." said Hydroc. "And here's the duel disk you created." (The duel disk Nick created has 24 Monster Card Zones and Spell & Trap Card Zones. Way out of line, yes, but effective.) Nick selected 80 cards for his Deck and 20 cards for his Fusion Deck and the duel started. Duel!Nick/ 5 cards/ LP 8000Hydroc/ 5 cards/ LP 8000Tsunami/ 5 cards/ LP 8000 Nick: Turn 1I draw. I summon "Twin-headed Shark"(LV3/WATER/Fish/Effect/ATK/1500 DEF/1200). When this card is summoned, I can Special Summon 1 Fish-type monster from my Deck, so I summon "Sea Synchron"(LV2/WATER/Fish/Tuner/ATK/900 DEF/800). Now i'm tuning "Sea Synchron"(LV2) with "Twin-headed Shark"(LV3) to Synchro Summon "Frozen Behemoth"(LV7/WATER/Beast/Effect/ATK/2500 DEF/1400). If "Sea Synchron" was used in a Synchro Summon, its is treated as a LV4 monster. When this card is Synchro Summoned, I can select 2 cards from your Deck and put them at the top of my Deck and until my next Standby Phase, I can draw the 2 selected cards from my Deck, if one of them is a Spell, I can inflict 1000 points of damage to my opponent. I play 1 card face-down and end my turn. Nick/ 4 cards/ LP 8000Hydroc/ 5 cards/ LP 8000Tsunami/ 5 cards/ LP 8000 Hydroc: Turn 2I draw. By discarding 1 "Sea Knight - Aquan"(LV2/WATER/Warrior/Effect/ATK/600 DEF/600), I can Special Summon 2 "Sea Knight - Aquan"(s)(LV2/WATER/Warrior/Effect/ATK/600 DEF/600) from my Deck. Next I play "Ocean Fusion", by returning 2 WATER monster to my Deck, I can Special Summon 1 Fusion WATER monster from my Fusion Deck and this summon is treated as a Fusion Summon, so I summon "Sea Knight - Aquarias"(LV7/WATER/Warrior/Fusion/Effect/ATK/2400 DEF/2100). When "Sea Knight - Aquarias" is summoned I can Special Summon 2 WATER monsters from my Deck and add 1 WATER monster from my Deck to my hand, so I add "Ocean Lizard"(LV2/WATER/Reptile/Tuner/ATK/500 DEF/400) to my hand and summon back my 2 "Sea Knight - Aquan"(s)(LV2/WATER/Warrior/Effect/ATK/600 DEF/600). Now I summon "Ocean Lizard"(LV2/WATER/Reptile/Tuner/ATK/500 DEF/400) and when "Ocean Lizard" is summoned I can Special Summon 1 WATER monster from my Graveyard, so I summon my first "Sea Knight - Aquan"(LV2/WATER/Warrior/Effect/ATK/600 DEF/600). Now i'm tuning my "Ocean Lizard"(LV2) with my 3 "Sea Knight - Aquan"(s)(LV2)(LV2)(LV2) to Synchro Summon "Sea Knight - Anemone"(LV8/WATER/Warrior/Synchro/Effect/ATK/3000 DEF/2000). When "Sea Knight - Anemone" is Synchro Summoned, it deals 1000 points of damage to its opponent once per turn. (Nick: LP 7000) Thanks to its effect it can't attack this turn, but at the End Phase of each of my turns, I can draw 1 card from my Deck and if its a WATER monster, I can draw again. Next I play the Field Spell "Ocean Caverns". The area was surrounded by a whirlpool and as soon as the whirlpool stopped, they were in a cave with a giant pool. Hydroc: Turn 2 cont.I play 1 card face down and end my turn and since it's my End Phase, I draw 1 card. And it's a WATER monster, so I draw again. Nick/ 4 cards/ LP 7000Hydroc/ 4 cards/ LP 8000Tsunami/ 5 cards/ LP 8000 Tsunami: Turn 3I draw. I summon "Whirlpool Crab"(LV4/WATER/Aqua/Effect/ATK/1800 DEF/1000). Now I activate "Whirlpool Crab"(s) effect, once per turn, by shuffling my Deck, I draw 1 card and if its a WATER monster, I can Special Summon it, so since the card I drew is a WATER monster, I Special Summon "Whirlpool Eel"(LV2/WATER/Sea Serpent/Tuner/ATK/800 DEF/800) and while "Whirlpool Eel" is on the field, it's also treated as a LV4 monster. Now i'm tuning "Whirlpool Eel"(LV4) with "Whirlpool Crab"(LV4) to Synchro Summon "Tsunami Shark"(LV8/WATER/Aqua/Synchro/Effect/ATK/2600 DEF/2100). Now I activate the spell "Whirlpool Attack", if I have 2 or more monsters with "Whirlpool" in their name in my Graveyard, I can return them to my Deck and inflict damage to my opponent equal to the combined ATK of the returned monsters, so 1800 plus 800 equals 2600 points of damage pointing your way. (Nick: LP 3400) Now I activate "Tsunami Shark"(s) effect, once per turn, it can increase its ATK by 1000 and decrease 1 monster's ATK by 1000, so I choose your "Frozen Behemoth" (2500 - 1000 = 1500 ATK) (2600 + 1000 = 3600 ATK) Now, "Tsunami Shark" destroy his "Frozen Behemoth" (Nick counters: I activate the trap "Ice Age", first it negates your attack. Second we all take damage equal to the combined levels of every WATER monster on the field x300.) (Nick thinks: I hope this works!!) (Nick counters: I activate the Quick-Play Spell from my hand "Ring of Defense" that means all damage I take from a trap card becomes 0!) (Hydroc says: Should've seen it coming and just when we had him for grabs.) (Tsunami says: What can we say he has potential.) Nick: LP 3400/ WinnerHydroc: LP 0/ DefeatedTsunami: LP 0/ Defeated Just then, Hydroc and Tsunami transported their spirits into their cards and gave them to Nick. "You've earned us. Farewell." said Hydroc as Nick was being transported. Just then the area turned into a flash of light and Nick was transported to another dimension in the Chaos Realm. "I got a safe bet that my next 2 opponents are..." said Nick before being interupted. "You guessed right." said 2 voices. "Searon and Lava. Long time, no see." said Nick. "Now your second test begins." said Searon. "Are you up to the challenge?" asked Lava. "Bring it!" yelled Nick as he was getting his Duel Disk ready. Card of the day: "Tsunami Shark" By far the most shortest duel yet, but like they did say Nick has potential. "Next Chapter": Nick faces the two FIRE Chaos Spirits above a pool of lava. Since it was sent to the Graveyard by a card effect, I can Special Summon it from my Graveyard. I play 1 card face-down and end my turn. (Searon: Hand: 8) And now I summon from my Graveyard "Blaze Ninja - Katon"(LV3/FIRE/Warrior/Tuner/ATK/1200 DEF/500) and when "Blaze Ninja - Katon" is Special Summoned to the field, I can Special Summon a number of monsters with "Blaze Ninja" in their name from the Graveyard to the field, so I summon "Blaze Ninja - Ryu"(LV4/FIRE/Warrior/Effect/ATK/1600 DEF/1400) and "Blaze Ninja - Gokakyuu"(LV4/FIRE/Warrior/Effect/ATK/1500 DEF/800). Now I activate from my hand, the Continuous Trap "Fire Tower". (Nick says: A trap from your hand?!) That's right and I can only activate this trap if there are 3 or more monsters with "Blaze Ninja" in their name on my side of the field. If one of my "Blaze Ninja" monsters are selected as an attack target, it negates the attack and decreases that monsters ATK by 500. Now I activate "Blaze Ninja - Gokakyuu"(s) effect, once per turn, I can select 1 monster on my opponent's field and decrease either their ATK or DEF by this card's ATK and I choose your "Fire Blocker"(s) DEF. (2500 - 1500 = 1000 DEF) Now I activate "Blaze Ninja - Ryu"(s) effect, once per turn, it can attack a number of times equal to half the number of cards in my hand, but since there are 7 cards in my hand, I have to discard 1 thanks to "Blaze Ninja - Ryu"(s) effect, now it can attack 3 times and if it attack a monster whose DEF are lower than its ATK, the difference is dealt to you, so without further ado, "Blaze Ninja - Ryu" attack all of his monsters. (Nick counters: I activate my "Fire Blocker"(s) effect, by lowering its level it can negate all of your attacks by the number level I decrease. (Fire Blocker: LV0) But that doesn't stop my other "Blaze Ninja" monsters from attacking. (Nick counters: I reveal my face-down, the Quick-Play Spell "Instant Tuning", I select 1 Tuner and 1 or more non-Tuner monsters on my side of the field and return them to my Deck and Special Summon 1 Synchro monster from my Extra Deck with the combined level of the monsters I sent back to my Deck, so i'm tuning "Fire Blocker"(LV0) with my 2 "Blaze Sniper"(s)(LV4) to Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon"(LV8/WIND/Dragon/Synchro/Effect/ATK/2500 DEF/2000). Now I activate my 3 "Molten Bat"(s) effect, if they were sent from the field to the Graveyard, I can inflict 1000 points to my opponent and since 3 were sent to the Graveyard, I can inflict 3000 points of damage to you. (Nick: LP 5000) Now I activate my Field Spell's effect, if "Ryuukan, The Blaze King" was Special Summoned to the field, I can inflict half of "Ryuukan, The Blaze King"(s) ATK to my opponent, so that's 1750 LP you've lost. (Nick: LP 3250) Next, I activate "Ryuukan, The Blaze King"(s) effect, if my opponent has suffered damage by an effect, I can inflict 500 points of damage to my opponent. Next I play the spell "Gift of Forgiveness", so Searon discards 3 cards (Searon: Hand: 2 cards) while I draw 3 cards. (Nick: Hand: 3 cards) Now I play the spell "Direct Attack" for this Battle Phase, all monsters on my side of the field can attack you two directly and I activate the spell "Double Attack", meaning I can attack twice this turn. Now "Chaos Spirit Tsunami" attack them directly. (Lava says: Even if you go on with your attack, we'll still have more LP.) (Searon says: Then, come next turn, this duel will be over.) Which is why I activate from my hand, the Quick-Play Spell "Limitless Courage", when this card is activated, I can select 1 monster on my field that's attacking and double its ATK power. (4850 x 2 = 9700 ATK) (Searon & Lava says: OH NO!) "Chaos Spirit Tsunami" END THIS!! Nick: LP 1750/ WinnerSearon: LP 0/ DefeatedLava: LP 0/ Defeated "Thanks guys, I owe you one." said Nick to his cards. "You see, when any one of us lose LP, a cyclone beneath all of us is raising up toward us. If anyone of us loses, the cyclone will engulf around you and blow you back to your dimension." "So Nick, let's begin shall we?" asked Starnos. Nick selected his 80 cards along with "Chaos Spirits Hydroc, Tsunami, Searon, and Lava" and 20 cards for his Fusion/Extra Deck and the duel commenced. (Nick says: Did you just summon yourself?) Yes I did, why did you say that? All monsters in the Duel Monster Realm have their spirit cards. (Nick says: Spirit cards?) The only card that contains their spirit. (Nick says: So you mean when I defeated Hydroc, Tsunami, Searon, and Lava...?) Oh no not that. The cards you have are gateway cards for their spirits to cross into your dimension. (Nick says: So that means if I win all my tests, even my test against Zeo, I can keep the cards I have and return to my dimension and while you guys are in this dimension, your spirits can just crossover into mine and contact me?) That's exactly what i'm saying, but i've said too much on with the duel. Thanks to "Wind Beast - Storm"(s) effect, when it is summoned, I can draw 3 cards and if 1 of them is a WIND monster, I can Special Summon it, so I draw 3 cards and activate "Chaos Spirit Windcon"(s) effect. For every card I draw, I gain 500 LP and since I drew 3, I gain 1500 LP (Windcon: LP 9500). And I drew a WIND monster, so I Special Summon "Wind Beast - Hurricane"(LV3/WIND/Beast/Tuner/ATK/1400 DEF/1000) Now I activate "Wind Beast - Hurricane"(s) effect, when it is summoned, it is removed from play for 2 turns and while it is removed from play, I can Normal Summon 2 monsters on the same Main Phase, meaning I can summon again, so I summon "Wind Beast - Air Bat"(LV2/WIND/Winged-Beast/Tuner/ATK/400 DEF/500). Now i'm tuning "Wind Beast - Storm"(LV3) with "Wind Beast - Air Bat"(LV2). "Great sky upon us, bestow your power upon me to vanquish the evil" Synchro Summon! Fly free, "Wind Beast - Storm Dragon"(LV7/WIND/Dragon/Synchro/Effect/ATK/2400 DEF/2100) (Nick says: Wait, you just used 2 Tuner monsters to Synchro Summon that dragon and your only supposed to use 1 Tuner and why is it a LV7 when you used a LV3 and a LV2 monster?) First, it's my "Wind Beast"(s) special ability, if I control more than 1 "Wind Beast" on my field, than all my "Wind Beast" monsters are also treated as non-Tuner monsters. Second, it's my "Wind Beast - Air Bat"(s) effect, when it's used for a Synchro Summon, it's treated as a LV4 monster. Now I activate "Wind Beast - Storm Dragon"(s) effect, when it is Synchro Summoned, I draw 1 card and if that card is a "Wind Beast" monster, this card's ATK increase by that monsters ATK. I draw and activate "Chaos Spirit Windcon"(s) effect again, so I gain 500 LP (Windcon: LP 10000) and it's "Wind Beast - Air Falcon"(LV4/WIND/Winged-Beast/Tuner/ATK/1600 DEF/1200), so "Wind Beast - Storm Dragon"(s) ATK are (2400 + 1600 = 4000 ATK) (Nick says: An ATK power of 4000!?) That's right. Now "Wind Beast - Storm Dragon" destroy his "Wavern, The Wind Magician". (Nick counters: I activate the Continuous Trap "Wind Breaker", when this card is activated, it becomes an Equip Spell Card and I equip it to "Wavern, The Wind Magician". When it's equipped to a WIND monster on my field, that WIND monster is not destroyed by battle and take half the damage I would've taken.) (Nick: LP 6875) I play 1 card face-down and end my turn. Now I activate "Chaos Spirit Starnos"(s) effect, when it is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned, I can activate 1 of its 2 effects and I choose its 2nd effect, I can destroy 1 Spell or Trap card on the field up to number of "Chaos Spirit"(s) or "Death Spirit"(s) I control except this one and since "Chaos Spirit Windcon" is on the field, I can destroy your "Wind Breaker". (Nick counters: When "Wind Breaker" is removed from the field, I can Special Summon 1 LV4 or below WIND monster from my hand or Deck, so I summon from my hand "Red-Eyes Wyvern"(LV4/WIND/Dragon/Effect/ATK/1800 DEF/1600) Next, I play "Divine Storm", if my opponent controls 1 or more WIND monsters on his side of the field, I can Special Summon 1 WIND monster from my Deck and add 1 WIND monster from my Deck to my hand, so I add "Simorgh, Bird of Divinity"(LV7/WIND/Winged-Beast/Effect/ATK/2700 DEF/1000) to my hand and summon "Slate Warrior"(LV4/WIND/Warrior/Effect/ATK/1900 DEF/400) Now I activate the spell "Double Summon", which lets me summon another monster, so by tributing "Chaos Spirit Starnos" and "Slate Warrior", I summon "Simorgh, Bird of Divinity"(LV7/WIND/Winged Beast/Effect/ATK/2700 DEF/1000) I play 2 cards face down and end my turn. Now I activate "Simorgh, Bird of Divinity"(s) effect, during the End Phase of every turn, all players take 1000 points of damage. (Nick: LP 5875) (Windcon: LP 9500) (Starnos: LP 8000) (Nick says: Wait, how come Windcon lost 500 LP while you didn't lose any?) Its "Simorgh, Bird of Divinity"(s) effect, you can reduce the damage up to how many Spell & Trap cards you control and since I control 2, I lose none and since Windcon controls 1, he loses 500 LP and since you have none, you lose 1000 LP. "You could stay for a while and check out all other fields in the Duel Monster Realm." said Yubel. Nick thinks about it. "Time is still frozen in my dimension, right?" asked Nick. "Yes." answered Zeo. "Then I'm staying." said Nick. "WHOO-HOO!!" screamed Yubel & Z. "Can I still ride your Duel Runner?" asked Z. "Not a chance." answered Nick. So Nick, Yubel, and Z traveled through every dimension written in every Field Spell in the game. Even through the ones he created and Dueled every person in the dimensions he created. Then he went back home mind and spirit and woke up at the exact time he left. And when he woke up, he saw a Deck on the table in his room where he eats and saw the cards in the Deck. He knew that everything he experienced was real and so are the cards he had in the dimension and the cards he has now. He was truly happy. And he also had his created Duel Disk and Duel Runner with him too and said to himself... "I promise to protect the Duel Monster Realm and everyone in it. This I swear." Nick said to himself. Cards of the Day: "Zeo The Chaos Warrior", "Zeo-Nexus The Chaos Warrior", and "The Daughter of Yubel" There you have it. A boy, his cards, and his friends. In one Chapter, this was a very happy moment. "Next Chapter"! Nick's town is being run amuck by monster from the Duel Monster Realm who was sent here to face Nick.
