Which One?

  1. 1. Which One?

    • Monster Reborn
    • Monster Reincarnation

Monster Reincarnation doesnt have much if any use outside of Lightsworn Decks to recover milled Judgment Dragons, Rainbow Dark Dragon OTK Decks to recover a milled Rainbow Dark Dragon or Twilight Decks to recover milled Judgment Dragons or Dark Armed Dragons. Monster Reborn is a must in almost every if not every Deck.

Monster Reborn is indeed better in most cases but in a few (as previously mentioned) Monster Reincarnation can be the better card.

What are you on crack? Reborn. <_<

The few situations where Reincarnation is more useful then Reborn are vastly outweighed by the broken effect of Reborn.

I voted for Monster Reborn' date=' but the real answer is Monster Reincarnation. It's the only one that can be used in a half-decent format.

is it just me, or do you hate Monster Reborn? Why is that?

It isn't overpowered, the format didn't stagnate to the level it is at now when Monster Reborn was mainstream, so why do you dislike it so intensely?

I use it as a convenient example of a banworthy card, since anyone worth talking to can see that it is overpowered.

12 months ago, making such a claim would get you laughed out of any forum you care to name. The card text has not changed during the past year.

First of all, a card can be obviously banworthy without needing to single-handedly determining the entire meta. Pot of Greed does not cause formats to stagnate in such a manner either. You merely assume so because you are used to your banworthy cards being obnoxious ones like Dark Armed Dragon. Cards can damage the game in other ways than making a single decktype unstoppable.

Second of all, Monster Reborn is mainstream, and it is a tautology that the format is currently at its current level of stagnation.

so why do you dislike it so intensely?

It's just another card that needs to be banned, and its banworthiness is so well-known and unquestionable that it can be used as a handy example when discussing the game with the few quasi-intelligent people who post.
