RP Example:

Deleng flipped a coin in the air and called it.

"Heads." It landed Heads. He smirked.

"Deleng, would you stop that!" A voice called over. He turned to the source of the voice. Kard stood their with arms crossed, tapping her foot with her black and red wings beating rapidly. Deleng smirked. and held out the coin.

"Fine, you flip it. Heads, you stop complaining. Tails, I stop." Kard growled. They had been made into a team because of her perfect record and his not-so-perfect record. She would not lose to this two-bit gambler.

"Fine." She growled. She aggressively flipped the coin. Heads. Deleng took back the coin and smiled at Kard. She glared silently.

"Lucky." She said with gritted teeth. He looked away, not wanting to laugh.

"I make my own luck." He said jovially, and grinned. Kard sighed reluctantly.

"Fine, fine, keep flipping that stupid coin. Can we go now?" Without waiting for an answer, she proceeded into the hall. Deleng frowned.

"Well that was rude." He pouted, and followed her in.

RP's Currently In: None...just came back from a long leave.

Reason Why You Want To Join (Optional): Bored. This seems like a good place to put up actually decent RPs.

Court RP? Sort of...fragile? The whole idea falls down if one person decides to change it, so the judge (RP host?) would have to be a pretty trusted RPer, like, one that will not and could not godmod. The number of places would be okay, if a long court case. Let's see...Judge, Defendant, Prosecutor, DA, Victim (if applicable), like, 3 witnesses, a detective, maybe two, and another suspect. That makes...12 at most. However, the judge would basically be blind to all the proceedings in the RP. They'd have to be, which would be unfair, so this idea sort of falls down at the starting line without very careful planning.

The whole idea falls down if one person decides to change it' date=' so the judge (RP host?) would have to be a pretty trusted RPer, like, one that will not and could not godmod. Keep in mind that the judge is simply there to maintain order and plan proceedings.

What we could do would be to occasionally post in Fanfic with the court scribe's record, and then ask YCM-goers to "be the jury". First seven votes either way would swing it, and then the judge would do the sentence.

Plus, we could also do civil cases. Those could be more drama-oriented. And we could even do Moore-vs-Dempsey type things, in which it's a civil case that will decide the fate of several alleged criminals.

So, the people we'd need would be:

Court Scribe/Judge/Host

Plaintiff

Defendant

Prosecution Attorney

Defense Attorney

1-3 witnesses per side

Prosecution Detective

Defense Detective

Suspect

The Detectives get a version of the events as dictated by the host and bring them to the lawyers, who in turn twist the events, prepare an opening and closing statement, et cetera. That stuff all happens via PM. Then the trial occurs, and the jury, being given only the events in the trial, gives their opinion. The judge applies a sentence, and everyone leaves.

Note that any of the Witnesses, the Suspect, the Defendant, or the Plaintiff could be guilty.

I'll get dibs on Host/Judge/Scribe, as a) I came up with the RP, b) I have only 1 RP going, and c) I have an ancient permission slip to host 4 RPs simultaneously.

Off the topic of mah RP: Prince of Death is in Learners. Period.

what do you mean by that?

When a new member joins' date=' the club determines which grouping they're in. There's no way in hell you're Elite, so we have to put you in Learners.

[/quote']

there should be a category between elite and learners, because i'm not a learner and i'm not that elite of an RPer. I have been in the Rp section most of the time if somebody posts in the RP then I will post after them to keep it moving/active.

This idea is full of win.

Explain what a civil case is.

So, the people we'd need would be:

Court Scribe/Judge/Host SGY

Plaintiff

Defendant

Prosecution Attorney

Defense Attorney Moi

1-3 witnesses per side

Prosecution Detective Crusader

Defense Detective

Suspect

The Detectives get a version of the events as dictated by the host and bring them to the lawyers, who in turn twist the events, prepare an opening and closing statement, et cetera. That stuff all happens via PM. Then the trial occurs, and the jury, being given only the events in the trial, gives their opinion. The judge applies a sentence, and everyone leaves.

Methinks RP would die. Too much going on by PM here?

Note that any of the Witnesses, the Suspect, the Defendant, or the Plaintiff could be guilty.

What's a Plaintiff?

I'll get dibs on Host/Judge/Scribe, as a) I came up with the RP, b) I have only 1 RP going, and c) I have an ancient permission slip to host 4 RPs simultaneously.

Good. I would have nominated you anyway.

Agreed.
