ShadowRSonic
I'll be doing this in PDN but the steps are basically the same as in photoshop / GIMPWARNING PAINT USERS** YOU CANNOT USE THIS TUTWARNING HIGH LEVEL USERS** YOU MAY WANT TO TURN AROUNDLet's start: Open your image editing programOpen a render of a pic, search Here for oneUse the magic wand to select the transparent areaInvert selection by using CTRL + IPress CTRL + C (copy)Go to File > New (the dimensions should be correct already)Press CTRL +V (Paste)Repeat steps three and fourPress Delete (Delete selected areas) You should now have a replica of your renderMake sure you're working with your copy then fill the render in black (not the bg) (use backspace to fill)Now Press CTRL + C (copy)Go to file > new (Dimensions are pre-pepared)Click "Add new layer" - Make sure it's on top ofbackgroundPress CTRL + V (Paste)Go to your original renderRepeat steps three and fourPress CTRL + C (copy)Go to the image you pasted the black thing onClick "Add new layer" - Make sure it's on top of the layer which has the black thingPress CTRL + V (paste) Go to the left hand side of the pasted image and squish it to teh right a bitYou should see some of the shadowLower the opacity of the layer with the shadow on to 190*Optional* Gaussian blur at 15px *Optional* Find a background and paste it on to the "background" layerWhen you've finished here is what the result should be like:adding the blur step to it removes the jagged edge on the shadow[spoiler=Image] Sorry I didn't add pics for the tutorial, but you all use GIMP / PS so pics of PDN wouldn't help+reps would be appreciated from those who found this helpful ! Kizzi
This tutorial is silly. You've added some random steps, it's definitely not medium difficulty, and just generally made it look harder than it is.

ShadowRSonic
Why is everyone commenting on that?Stop nao. Many newbies won't have photoshop or if they do, it would probably be dysfunctional as they would have attempted to download a cracked version instead of buying it.Paint.NET is an open source program and is not just limited to it's original features. Even newbies can create advanced plugins for this program. <- my own words I bet photoshop doesn't have a "wet floor reflection" or "Water reflection". Or many features Paint.NET have.I would also like to add making custom images by not using just one filter is a lot better, if you use just one filter you should not be able to take any credit for the image. problematica
Besides the fact that the picture isn't photoshop, there still is GIMP and that's free.If people are getting messed up versions of cracked PS, then they're doing it wrongPeople make plugins for GIMP and PS all the time, and water reflection can be done in like 5 stepsAlso, drop shadow gives a better result
Jovi Siagian
PS Portable says hello. It's free and works fine with 3 of my Photoshops (1 CS3, and 2 CS4) and Infinity Sparker's Photoshop. If we can use the easy way, why do we have to use the hard way?
