I summon [insert high ATK monster here]

.:True Destiny:.:

I activate my Kirby's effect to take your monster and give half of it's ATK to my Kirby!

.:True Destiny:. Now I end my turn.

Other guy: Now I destroy Kirby with the really powerful monster I get back.

He could've still done massive damage to the opponent.

Like So:

.:True Destiny:.:

My Kirby now has 2800 ATK points. Go attack directly!

Other Guy:

1200 Life Points remaining.

Other Guy: summons another monster with 1500 ATK. Strong monster attacks Kirby. Weak monster attacks directly.

.:True Destiny:.: 1200 Life Points remaining + no monsters...

What?

True Destiny was never damaged by the opponent. >.>

Yeah he was. (Actually I miss calculated. He has 1400 LP.) What made you think he didn't take damage?

It never said he lost any damage. Ever.

... I figured you could figure it out based on the information given. Kirby had a base ATK of 1500, but you said it did 2800 damage from a direct attack. Kirby's effect only gives it 1/2 of the equiped monster's ATK, meaning that the other monster had a base ATK of 2600. Kirby's effect also returns the equiped monster to his opponent's side of the field durring the end phase. The opponent summoned a monster with 1500 ATK. The 2600 ATK monster attacked Kirby, doing 900 damage. Then the 1500 ATK monster attacked directly. So .:True Destiny:. took 2600 damage that turn. Assuming that both players had 4000 LP at the beginning of the match, .:True Destiny:. has 1400 LP left and the opponent has 1200 LP left. But .:True Destiny:. has no monsters on his side of the field, while the opponent has a 2600 ATK monster and a 1500 ATK monster.

Did you get all of that?

EDIT: Oh, I guess you did... It took a few minutes to type all of that...

I wasn't going to. I just am a fan of Poke'mon. If I did do it, I was going to do kinda like that one Digimon club for each member to have their own Poke'mon partner and they can evolve it and stuff. They could have the little sprite animations from Diamond/Pearl/Platinum too. (I did not copy the idea from them, I've had it in my mind for awhile)
