Dark
When you make a card, which do you do first? Do you... Find the picture, and then make the rest of the card. or... Make the card, and then find a suitable picture. Which one?
Monkey
I find the image first then I work around the image to find a name that suits the picture. Next I do the attribute, type, etc. Then the effect.

ragnarok1945
Image first (that's how I did it on another forum). The card itself is easy from that point on

Yankee
Idk really. I guess it depends on how I'm feeling. I used to always get the pic last, but now, it's like 50/50, lol

MarbleZone
I do not make cards anymore. Which makes your post immensely relevant. I used to go for the image first, but I dropped that - more often than not, I found amazing images and the effects never seemed to hold a candle to the art itself. So now I think up the effect first, like I always did before I found out a card maker existed, then look for the images. If they don't fit the card all that well, too bad, effects > images anyway. ;)
D-Striker
I pick out a pick, then do the card, haven't made a card in months though.
Spire
To tell you the truth, I base my card fully on the image. Everything, even the effect. It is the image I locate first, it is my style of cardmaking.

Parting Shot
I used to make the cards first and then find images, but I ended up with so many useless cards because the images I was looking for were too specific and I couldn't find anything good that also fit the card (hence why some of my earlier sets have meh-ish pics). Now, I more often find pics and then select effects from my scrap notebook that could be put with them. The only time nowadays that I make the card first and then find the pic is if I have a wicked awesome effect idea :P
ragnarok1945
with the images that don't fit, I merely save them for further card creation

Catman25
Image first, If you want to find a pic to match your cards, there are no good ones. Get a picture first and you can make up the name and effect.
