Sacred Beasts, is it?

Recommended Posts

What an odd fad that you lot have adopted. However, since none of you can get out of the "IT'S NOT REALLY THE RIGHT DECK WITHOUT ALL THREE" mindset for WHATEVER reason, I'm making my own Raviel deck, then telling you to get over it, because it won't work.

Lord, no wonder this place has such a poor reputation. Only 2% of you are even TCG players, and even less are good. -_-;

Anyway, so long as I'm here teaching you silly children about the cards, I might as well explain WHY they don't work together.

You see, in the anime, there are SEVERAL cards made for these cards to work with, with the soul intent of having them not be shitty.

Chaos Core

3-star / DARK / Fiend

0 ATK - 0 DEF

When this Attack Position monster is attacked, you can send 1 each of "Uria, Lord of Searing Flames", "Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder" and "Raviel, Lord of Phantasms" from your hand or Deck to the Graveyard to place 3 Sacred Beast Counters on this card. By removing 1 Sacred Beast Counter from this card, you can negate 1 attack that designates this card as an attack target.

Lost Paradise

Field Spell

Once per turn, a player can draw 2 cards if they control at least 1 "Uria, Lord of Searing Flames", "Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder" or "Raviel, Lord of Phantasms".

Dimension Fusion Destruction

Normal Spell

Remove from play 1 each of "Uria, Lord of Searing Flames", "Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder" and "Raviel, Lord of Phantasms", that you control. Special Summon 1 "Armitael, Phantasm of Chaos" ignoring the Summoning conditions from your Extra Deck.

Immortal Class

Normal Trap

Tribute 2 monsters. Special Summon 1 Level 7 or higher monster from your Graveyard. If the selected monster is "Uria, Lord of Searing Flames", "Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder", or "Raviel, Lord of Phantasms", it can be Special Summoned ignoring the Summoning conditions.

Dark Summoning Beast

5-star / DARK / Fiend

0 ATK - 0 DEF

You can Tribute this card to Special Summon 1 each of "Uria, Lord of Searing Flames", "Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder" and "Raviel, Lord of Phantasms" from your Graveyard, ignoring the Summoning conditions. The monsters Special Summoned this way cannot attack during the turn they are Special Summoned.

Now, as you can see, these cards all have a general use of "Put them in the Graveyard or take them out." Even with the beasts in the same deck in the anime, they STILL couldn't figure out a way to make it work. They had to make their own cards to make the idea feasible for the show. That means that at their VERY best, they STILL don't get used with the right summoning conditions.

Because of this, without these cards, they are nothing. If you put them together, you get a hodge-podge of Fiends with too many cards clogging up your backrow and a slew of shitty draws, every turn.

Anyway, I'm done with the explanation, so back to work doing what I do; TCG magic.

Monsters - 20

3x Raviel, Lord of Phantasms

3x Grinder Golem

2x Puppet Master

1x Herald of Creation

3x Phantom Skyblaster

1x Sangan

3x Giant Germ

2x Evil Hero Infernal Prodigy

2x Grave Squirmer

Spells - 16

3x Allure of Darkness

2x Dark Eruption

3x Dark World Dealings

2x Fiend's Sanctuary

3x Hand Destruction

1x Heavy Storm

1x Monster Reborn

1x Mystical Space Typhoon

Traps - 4

1x Crush Card Virus

3x Dark Illusion

Raviel with two cards:

Grinder Golem + Infernal Prodigy

Puppet Master + Infernal Prodigy

Phantom Skyblaster + Infernal Prodigy

Phantom Skyblaster + Giant Germ

Phantom Skyblaster + Fiend's Sanctuary

Dark Illusion is to offer protection from Dark Armed and Brain Control for Raviel. Other cards will also work, but it's free and it can't be hit by Stardust. Also, it doesn't allow them to chain anything but Solemn.

Hand Destruction loads Puppet Master and gives you a safe discard of a little monster, since you have Dark Eruption. Pair it with Raviel's inability to be searched and you'll need to draw quite a bit.

Allure gets you to Raviel quicker.

Dark World Dealings loads Puppet Master and gives you Raviel faster.

Grave Squirmer is your Dark Ryko.

Herald of Creation can net you back a fallen Raviel, or one you had to discard because you were out of options.

Dark Eruption gets you back the two key pieces to any of Raviel's summons: Skyblaster and Prodigy.

That's how you build a deck around a Sacred Beast.

I am personnally the one who started the fad. Sorry, it was never a really serious idea. I was just fooling around with an idea I've been working on since I first dueled a Hamon deck.

ANYWAY;

@ your arguement about the Beasts:

True, the three don't work great together, but they can work. Check my deck for a quick look at how.

DNA Sugery + Crystal Beasts supports the summoning conditions of all three.

Also, most of the Anime support is for Armitael, not so much the Beasts.

@ The deck:

Raviel Sack? An interesting idea.

I do like Raviel, and decks based on him are usually Powerhouses.

Might I suggest a few Dark World monsters who SS themselves? A good stratagy for Raviel is "Fiend Swarm"

Rest assured, I have seen your deck. I am not impressed. "Jamming cards and vague support and summoning conditions into a pile" isn't the same as "working together". Your three "strategies", which I use loosely, don't mesh well. They don't support each other, they don't aid each other, they're not consistent, they're not even optimal.

Your deck poses no evidence of them "Working together" in any way whatsoever.

As far as Dark World monsters go, I would do it only if they were more consistent than the already hit-and-miss plays I'm planning to make in this deck, which they are not.

I do appreciate your taking the time to read through my deck, however.
