Phantom Roxas
I was referring to Siegfried's inability to steal souls. It would be impossible to reform Yami Bakura/Zorc, unless Horakhty could do that, but his alternative was exploding Zorc into absolute nothingness. ragnarok1945
No, but Siegfried had the ability to steal Kaiba's reputation (or at least tried to using that virus of his)

Guest
My point is that someone doesn't need to be an irredeemable force of pure and undiluted evil that has no positive qualities and that can wilt flowers with its presence in order to qualify as a "villain". ragnarok1945
Company=/=Soul' date=' even in Kaiba's case.[/quote'] No, but Kaiba needs it so badly other than Mokuba it might as well be. What does he have left without it?

ragnarok1945
So did his Burning Knuckle and Buster Knuckle. Joey certainly had to go back to old school
Aximil
At least Joey evened the field, by playing those cards that would have never helped him in any other situation except in that one duel that will never ever happen again, allowing him to punch Valon right back. ragnarok1945
Exactly my point. Use his own aura armor. Go back to the old school days: beating people to a pulp

Then again, it's been a while since I saw that duel, so I could be misremembering.

ragnarok1945
Yeah, his Lord of the Red armor knocked Valon's right out of the park. He had to do it again with Big Bang Blow after combining it with Hermos to form Big Bang Dragon Blow

ragnarok1945
Tell me about it, blew Valon's armor right off him. I'm pretty sure had it not been for the seal's wall the blow would have knocked him through the fence
Phantom Roxas
Nah, the Seal made the duel Shadow Game-like, so the attack might not have sent him through the fence had the Seal not been there.
ragnarok1945
perhaps, but it was definately better than Joey's duel with Marik in BC. Though at the beginning it didn't seem fair as Valon's armor attacks could make Joey feel pain while he couldn't do the same in reverse
Phantom Roxas
Both were his greatest duels nontheless. They're the villains, so they shouldn't play fair.
ragnarok1945
Only Yami Marik was, as he was born from Marik's anger and hate. Valon got tricked by Dartz, remember?

Guest
Way to take 8 minutes to repeat exactly what I said. Almost every villain is given some sort of sympathetic backstory and is reformed by the end. Pegasus' date=' Marik, Dartz, and Siegfried are all villains, as is anyone who serves as one of the Big Bad's knights and steals peoples' souls.[/quote'] My point is that someone doesn't need to be an irredeemable force of pure and undiluted evil that has no positive qualities and that can wilt flowers with its presence in order to qualify as a "villain". Way to take two days to repeat exactly what I said. They were still villains' date=' regardless of the circumstances.[/quote'] there's a difference between being tricked to be one and a true villain. You don't want to see it that way, fine with me He was told that he was being made a soul-stealing knight of an ancient organization dedicated to reviving an evil demon to destroy the world. Dartz made no pretenses; Varon wasn't tricked into becoming a villain.
ragnarok1945
yeah, but that's what he was TOLD. Dartz admitted that when all was complete Valon too would have been cleansed from the world to endure its purity. Besides, the only reason why Dartz and Valon met was because Dartz framed him and burned down his orphanage.
