As it's been stated, don't make it in one color, it dosen't look very good. I think the text could be better, but keep trying, read some tuts, and you will get better.

Don't make the whole sig one color, and did you use a C4D? It seems like your C4D stands out to much, it isn't good, but, hey, you can do better. ^-^

Haris has a point. Thats the only way you will get better is if you take the advice we all give you and if we rate it bad, that means you need improvment and practice. Thats what gets you better. Think of it likei n a job. You can't expect your boss to say "amazing! I love it! I'll help you improve!" No, thats not lickely, inless you really really really need help in life (like mental kind of stuff). Your boss will say "What the heck is that garbage? No, no, no! Your fired!" So think of what the YCM people say as much more nicer then when you accually live your life, if you can't take what Haris said, you won't be able to become successful.

Hey zman. Welcome to the Graphics section.

 

The things our GFX veterans notice most, is the mono (single) colour scheme you used in our sig. Many say an all-round single colour is rather ugly and in this case, I agree.

It's true Master Chief is green, but not every inch of him is, right? Take his helmet goggles for example, They should be orange-ish. Now orange on green makes a nice contrast in my opinion: if, for example, you didn't make Master Chief all green, but instead coloured parts of the background with the same colour as his goggles, it would look much nicer.

That is what Hope meant - a mixture of different colours, instead of a single one.

Because you made your sig all green, your render lost most of it's appeal. It's blended well into the background, but when looking at it, my eye gets drawn away by the background - your render isn't the main part of your signature anymore. This will be solved very well if you fix the colours, but you may also want to sharpen your render or dull the background instead.

 

I suggest you have a run at some smudging tutorial, smudging is pretty easy and will make your signature look good with minimum effort.

In my opinion.
