JG.
Hi, and welcome to my newest (and first) Pokemon recolour project. It may be my first major project but I have been recolouring pokemon since the age of 9 (I'm 12, 13 in the # of days in my sig). Anyways, the inspiration to this project came out of playing a game. I was battling Shadow Lugia on Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness when suddenly, ping! I just had to make a Shadow version of all 493 pokemon! Anyways, I hope you enjoy my first ever major pokemon project! [spoiler=Warning]Sometimes there may be a delay of updating this thread. It is usually because some of the pokemon have some serious border issues which I, obviously, have to fix. [spoiler=#1 - ???] Please rate, hate and comment.
Jappio
Speaking of bordering issues, you have some. On Bulbasaur and Ivysaur there are green borders left all over the place. Charmander for whatever reason also has green around it's eyes. Charizard's eye has this weird blue spot that doesn't look good. You also messed up the borders, they match the inside color so it looks like you lost the border in general. Squirtle and Warturtle have an inconsistancy between each other. The shell over their bellies aren't the same, squirtle's is recolored, Warturtles isn't. I'm guessing you don't have enough colors in your palette at this point. Also a good point about shadow Pokemon. Shadow Lugia wasn't just colored different, it's body structure was slightly change. As these are right now, they are just recolors, but with a little bit of editing they could look better and have more of a "wow" factor.
JG.
Thanks Jappio! I see what you mean with my border issues, but how was Shadow Lugias body structure different? And I just noticed the Squirtle/Wartortle problem, I'll fix that when I update, same goes for Charmander/Charizard. Anyways, thanks for commenting! Jappio
As you can see the main differences being things like around the eyes, and just the general shape of the body. It's more sleek, edgy, sharp, and just the attitude you can tell there is a difference. A quick idea for you, Charizards Wings you could make a little pointier maybe. Warturtles tails and ear wings could be made sleek and sharp even. Just suggestions. Be careful and take your time if you do plan on actually editing the sprites beyond just color. If you do something wrong, it probably will show.
Zack Blaze
I like these. Well Done!
Catman25
These are good! I used to make shadow pokemon myself, but I think you've done a better job than I would've.
