I've been telling you that you're getting worse and this just proves it even more. Looking at the ODST one and comparing it to the Jahuti one is like comparing someone who's been doing this stuff for like a week to their work from day one.

You've been telling me the same crap over and over again which proves that you know nothing about being helpful. People say that you want to help, then show it instead of telling me that I'm getting worse in your opinion.

And yes, I did read tutorials, in fact I have read every tutorial on GIMPTalk and I'm using the ones that appeal to my style. And I worked up a whole 5 hours on the Jahuti one and I plan to use up 5 hours on every single one in this series.

 

 

If your going to tell me that I'm only getting worse and not even tell me what I'm doing wrong or how to fix something, then don't even comment or critisize, I have no tolerance for people who waste my time just to tell me the same crap. I'd rather you waste my time by showing me what I did wrong and then telling me what I can do for future reference.

I don't see what the problem is with your sigs, I like your second one alot. Its about time you used brighter colors. ^-^

Didn't do it in this thread yet because the last time I commented on your work you cried about it, saying how my listing things you did wrong didn't help you at all.

 

Now to really comment on them:

All of them-

Boring backgrounds, nothing really appealing about them

Bad lighting

No depth

Really bad text

 

Jahuti-

Don't do that with the colors, you just basically make it monotone with different colors. Very unappealing. Colors need to blend together, not be just variations of tone of the same one

Background is really empty

Don't do that thing with the c4d over the render (I can't think of the proper way to phrase it, but you should get the idea)

 

Melody-

Background looks like macaroni and cheese vomit, literally

I think you were trying to make him look like he was being taken away into the light, then you made the fading parts too transparent. If anything, it actually looks more like smoke and if it's that then it's too sharp

 

Meti-

Don't do monotone, seriously. It looks hidious.

Effects don't really add anything since they don't make sense with that background. The one in the hair looks pretty bad

The blur or smudging on the face looks really bad and makes no sense since it's the only part like that

I don't really like the Crystal one, but its still nice work. You seem to add just one color all the time in your sigs, so I don't like that it is only green and white. Still the Meti one is my favorite.

Just read what I wrote when you work on your next tag and take the things into consideration. Particularly what I've said for the All of them comments and the stuff being monotone.

-.- Well, thanks for pointing out the obvious suggestion, is there any other suggestion you would like to point out that may not be so OBVIOUS?

 

I know I may seem like an ass right now, but I am trying to tell you to just give a techincal hint. Like what kind of tools would you use or any tactics and effects would be useful to making better lighting or depth?

For lighting you need to look for the locations of the highlights and shadows to tell you the exact direction that the light is coming from in relevance to the focal.

For depth you basically just need to blur the parts away from the light and the focal.

 

Most things depend on your style because each one requires different techniques and amount of usage for each thing.
