Skuldur
It's because of the anime everyone has a freaking dragon. And of course they appeal to the youth
Azure
It's probably because Dragons always have been the taste of the youth' date=' i myself am 13 years old and i pretty much think Dragons own. It's because dragons are mostly the coolest cards and creatures out there.[/quote'] No this is better:

Valkyrie Lupia Blitzer
I kissed Hilary Clinton beat that for the rekord redrum is the only good "dragon" card there is Stardust Dragon. Red Dragon Archfiend. Black Rose Dragon. ther eis NO good dragon support Red-Eyes Darkness Metal? :/ and ther eis no good level 8 dragon Stardust Dragon. Red Dragon Archfiend. Black Rose Dragon. and there is no good level 8 dark dragon Red Dragon Archfiend. it can be argued that vandalygon is but its not really a generic dragon but can be fitted into a redrum deck with some counter traps i mean why the hell not eh? ;D your an idiot -.-' Stardust: Prevents destruction by effects. And that's incredibly common these days.RDA: Obliterates defenses. Not as good' date=' tho'.BRD: Field nuke. I kissed Hilary Clinton beat thatWtf? Valkyrie Lupia Blitzer
There were some people who were saying that Dragons suck/aren't so great, IIRC. You mean I'm not a Dragon?????? D:
Akira
Just to clarify... When toni talked about there being no decent lv8 dark dragons etc, he meant dragons which SUPPORTED other dragons, not dragons which are good because they can go in any deck. JD is a dragon but not dragon support. DAD is a dragon but not dragon support. etc

armageddon08
Blue Eyes decks might become amazing when the new Blue Eyes support comes out, but for now they mostly suck. Seriously, noobs want and like dragons because they think they'll win everything if they have them.

I had the same instance. I traded a fake Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon & Fake set of Exodia to a little kid for a real Chaos Emperor Dragon. I laughed for a whole day. In another instance a cocky little middle schooler was bragging about his dragon deck that he built and after watching them play (they summon anything ignoring the summoning conditions and forget to read the effects and have like 5-7 copies of any cards in their deck) i thought "hey, this would be a great chance to add to my box. so i dueled them by their rules, deck for deck, with my Wicked Avatar/Metamorphosis into Thousand Eyes Restrict Deck and gained about 8 Blue Eyes White Dragons all in one day. I remember this moment in the duel "I activate Foolish Burial to send Black Luster Soldier to my graveyard, and activate dragon's mirror on Black Luster Soldier and mystical sheep to summon Dragon Master Knight!!!" "Torrential Tribute." "....." lol. n00bs love dragon decks because they dont care about effects or know about any good cards, just attack and defense and yellow and purple cards. They beg their parents for the greatest cards in the world, they get them, and then lose them to people like me. And i sell those cards on ebay to the souless collectors that would buy a SDK-001 blue eyes for $50.00.

GenzoTheHarpist
Reminds me of this guy I met at Locals who claimed his red-eyes deck couldn't lose to Lightsworns. It was so surreal. He never even claimed it was good, just that it had some magic property that prevented it from losing to Lightsworn.

armageddon08
All right, so I can't get my hands on a Dark Armed. Just because I can't, doesn't mean that I'm a bad player. And who's the 1 star member here?

Even when I thought most of the powerfull monster are Dragons I don't see Dragons as a viable archetype, But they are the best support card in the meta. And yes card are expensive so no many people can't have always all the powerfull card but that is not a reason to understimate its skill.
