Giant Nightmare ScorpionLevel 3Monster - Dark - FiendWhen this monster destroys a monster by battle, you opponent takes 100 points of damage times the level of the destroyed monster. Your opponent takes 500 points or damage every time this card destroys a monster this way. This card cannot deal battle damage to your opponent.ATK: 1800 DEF: 0 Nightmare Dread KnightLevel 4Monster - Dark - FiendWhen this monster destroys an opponents monter by battle and there are no other monsters on your opponents side of the field, inflict 500 points of damage to the opponent. This monster cannot deal battle damage to your opponent.ATK: 2000 DEF: 0 Nightmare SteedLevel 3Monster - Dark - FiendOnce per turn, you can equip this card to a "Nightmare" monster on the field or special summon it to the field. When the equiped monster inflicts effect damage, increase the damage by 500 points. If the equipted monster would be destroyed, destroy this card instead. This monster cannot deal battle to your opponent.ATK: 500 DEF: 0 Nightmare WandererLevel 1Monster - Dark - FiendDuring you stand-by phase, you can discard this card from you hand to destroy one of your opponents monter cards. Shadow Legacy
you must really like nightmares... ^_^ Kinda, ya. It seemed like a good Idea to begin with, but now... I just think I'll give up. All my Ideas are c*** anyway. Link to comment
texaschickenlittle
Okay... First off I'll begin with this:Don't give you idiot. keep going until someone actually decides to rate them (like me!). I actually think this is a very good idea. Making it so all of the monsters give effect damage rather than battle damage. (something I never would have thought of) I do have to point out there are sporadic grammatical issues in your cards, such as the miss spelling of result and monster. Also, the OCG might need a little bit of tweaking (for instance its can not may) There is a thread in the other card threads that can help you out in this area (I would post a link, but I am really lazy right now) Also, Ultimate Nightmare is...undepowered. Lower the Tributing cost to 3 monsters and increase the ATK to 3200 or just leave it there. Other than those suggestions just keep adding on and you'll have a set of cards that may rival Umbra's cards Link to comment
Shadow Legacy
Thanks for the vote of confidence. I'll have to search the forums for the correct OOC thread thing your talking about. As for the effect damage, I just thought something for a burn deck. Then I thought some more, and came up with the Idea for monsters that attack the Psychi of a person, but deal no physical damage, and it reminded me of Nightmares, and there was the birth of the nightmare cards. (Also, I came up with them to cope with me nightmares. Traping them in cards seems to make me less likly to have the nightmare.) Thanks again Texas Chicken Little Link to comment
texaschickenlittle
That is a good way to keep them away... As for your cards, they have one card that can seriously kick your a@%. Barrel Behind the Door Since your monsters give effect damage...that card can send it back and if your opponent can get it back from the Graveyard...yeah, you get the idea. Other than that...well not much else. P.S. have you tried a Dream Catcher. They worked for me. Link to comment
Shadow Legacy
Yep, I have. Couldn't sleep with it over my head though. Kinda funny too, how I have nightmare, but wrighting them down and makeing them into cards makes them go away. Maybe my cards have card spirits made from my dreams. *wonders* I was joken, but that would be funny if that could happen. Oh, added 2 more cards, the Nightmare Reflection and Small nightmare. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
I made a nightmare monster type before, but it wasn't like this. The idea seems good, but some of the cards are overpowered, and some of the a bit too underpowered. OCG is kinda weird sometimes, too. Link to comment

Also, I am still looking for the OCG thread that Texas Chicken talked about, do you have the link to it by chance? Link to comment

texaschickenlittle
One thing...If you are talking about an archtype in your card effect...its suppost to be like this: "Nightmare" monsters You see where I'm getting at? Also in card effects, its can not may. Link to comment
Shadow Legacy
Thanks, Edited again. Seems like Texas Chicken is the only one helping. Seems like no one cares about wrighten cards, only the pritty pictures from compleate cards. ~EDIT~Also, would you mind me asking if you could use my Archtype fro you fanfic? Link to comment

Haou Devil 12
I doubt I can help you with this, because most of my nightmares are screwed up, but I can give you new card idea even if I didn't have a nightmare. Try this: Nightmare LizardDARK / Level 4[Fiend/Effect]ATK/1700 DEF/1200When this card battles a monster with higher ATK, decrease that monsters ATK by half of this card's ATK. When this card destroys a monster with this effect, if there are no more monsters on your opponent's side of the field, inflict 500 points of damage to your opponent. The damage done to your opponent is treated as Effect damage. Dark Tuner - Nightmare-rougeDARK / Level 10[Fiend/Dark Tuner]ATK/0 DEF/0When this card is summoned, Special Summon 1 "Nightmare" monster from your hand that is LV2 or below. When this card is selected as an attack target, once per turn, this card is not destroyed by battle and all damage done to this card, is switched to your opponent. All damage done to your opponent is treated as Effect damage. Nightmare BatDARK / Level -8[Fiend/Dark Synchro/Effect]ATK/2800 DEF/1600"1 or more non-Tuner monsters"-"1 Dark Tuner". In order to Special Summon this card, subtract the level of a Dark Tuner monster from the level of 1 other monster you control; the value must equal the level of this card. While this card is on the field, if your opponent controls no monsters on his/her side of the field, inflict 1000 points of damage. If this card is destroyed by battle or by an effect, by discarding 1 "Nightmare" monster from your hand, Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. When this card inflicts Battle damage to your opponent, all Battle damage from this card becomes Effect damage. You see, think of "Nightmare Bat" as a reoccuring "Nightmare" monster. Just like in it effect.I hope you like these. Consider this a gift. Link to comment
Shadow Legacy
Nice... but could someone tell me what a Dark Syncro Is? ~Edit~Also, the All damage done to your opponent is treated as Effect damage" effect was met for the main cards in the Nightmare set, namely Ultimate Nightmare and Ruler or the Nightmare Realm. But Nightmare Bat seems to bee a good Idea. Just need to change it's name to something more menessing.... Maybe Nightmare Shadow Flyer? Link to comment

Though Dark Tuner monsters may be hard to summon, you still need them to perform a Dark Synchro Summoning, but in order to summon a Dark Synchro Monster, you must subtract the level of the Dark Tuner monster from the level of the non-Tuner monster to have a negative level monster. If you need any more information, go to these two sites http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6cRjXptkmA and http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Synchro_Monsters.
