Mage Knight Defender in a spell coutner SD deck [DISC]

It seems the deck is getting stay around power as it's main defense.

I have to hit this twice just to kill it.

get more than one of these on the field, and the monsters aren't going anywhere from non-battle effects. and it does not negate, so thanks for the 1000, soul taker

It may not destroy the source of the effect, but it slows down DaD quite a bit, and makes JD have to pay certainly more than once.

disscuss.

yeah' date=' if it could have more than 1 spell counter, it would be much better. as of now its effect is a once per turn sort of thing, just sorta a stop-gap that slows things down a little bit. There are many other cards that do his job better. So in the end, it sucks

No where does it say, (Unless I am a terrible reader) that you must remove the spell counter from that monster. And if it did, it'd be a one time only thing. Unless, I don't know how these spell counters work, you can just remove a spell counter from any other card that has one on it.

Now, about the card. Seems like you might be destroying spell counters a lot, just to save some monsters. It may not be game breaking, but the card seems good enough to slow down plays to last you another or so turn.

I didn't know he could only take 1 counter at a time. Never mind' date=' he's not as playable as I thought he was, but he's still along way from horrible.

Well, Its from the field so that justifies running at least one of these.

Am I missing something, or do Spell Counters come from the hand or deck?

Spell counters come from other cards that generate spell counters on the field.

Some examples are:

Breaker the Magical Warrior

Maiden of Macabre

Pitch-Black Power Stone

And so forth, so I believe you can just blow up counters on other cards to activate Mage Knight Defender's effect.

I know about cards that generate Spell Counters. Didn't you catch the sarcasm?

Oh yes sir, indeed I did. I didn't know whether to insult such remarks with an explanation, or to let it be. I picked the former, just so you know.

Than you're a better man than I:).

This + the City = Monster destruction counter. All you have to do is keep activating Spell Cards' date=' and with the new Spell Card that not only adds Spell Counters, but places 1 on a monster you control and adds a new one to your hand, it becomes an easier task.

say what?

what card are you talking about now?
