werewolfjedi
http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Mage_Knight_DefenderIt seems the deck is getting stay around power as it's main defense. I have to hit this twice just to kill it.get more than one of these on the field, and the monsters aren't going anywhere from non-battle effects. and it does not negate, so thanks for the 1000, soul takerIt may not destroy the source of the effect, but it slows down DaD quite a bit, and makes JD have to pay certainly more than once. disscuss. GenzoTheHarpist
Tempest and Endymion have better things to drop counters on.
armageddon08
I'm just saying, this card could stop big plays if anyone decides to play a spellcaster deck.
GenzoTheHarpist
I think secret village is going to stop most of the big plays.
armageddon08
I know, but this could go along with secret village, aiding the Spellcasters with even more negation.

Lemniscate
yeah, if it could have more than 1 spell counter, it would be much better. as of now its effect is a once per turn sort of thing, just sorta a stop-gap that slows things down a little bit. There are many other cards that do his job better. So in the end, it sucks

And if it did, it'd be a one time only thing. Unless, I don't know how these spell counters work, you can just remove a spell counter from any other card that has one on it. Now, about the card. Seems like you might be destroying spell counters a lot, just to save some monsters. It may not be game breaking, but the card seems good enough to slow down plays to last you another or so turn. ~/Coolio Prime\~
Oh, yeah, this guy can remove spell counters from the entire field. That makes him better, and gives Pitch Black Power Stone more of a purpose.

Spell counters come from other cards that generate spell counters on the field. Some examples are:Breaker the Magical WarriorMaiden of MacabrePitch-Black Power Stone And so forth, so I believe you can just blow up counters on other cards to activate Mage Knight Defender's effect. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
This + the City = Monster destruction counter. All you have to do is keep activating Spell Cards, and with the new Spell Card that not only adds Spell Counters, but places 1 on a monster you control and adds a new one to your hand, it becomes an easier task.
