Outstanding Dog Marron

Recommended Posts

The reason I put it up is because they stop my friends Lightsworn deck from decking out.

Stall walls>LS here

If you cant beat stall with Lightsworn you're either doing Lightsworn wrong or using Lightsworn wrong.

If you deck out using Lightsworn and you deck out, you're either running Lightsworn wrong or building it wrong.

Lightsworn Decks may not take much skill to use but they do certainly take a degree of skill to use. Its more like common sense. You shouldnt have to many Lightsworns out at once unless you are guaranteed to win on that turn otherwise you will deck out within a few turns and quite possibly lose valuable cards in the process such as a Judgment Dragon which is the primary win condition, a Solar Recharge which could get rid of a Wulf that may be in your hand in exchange for a draw.

Lightsworn Decks take common sense to use. Overextending is one of the worst things you can do. Especially in a Lightsworn Deck.

Lightsworns do not need a terrible excuse for a stall card like Outstanding Dog Marron.

how exactly would he work in LS?

I'm thinking like how this one monster of mine in magic did against a mill deck.

he went to the grave, he went back in, went to the grave, went back in, and over and over.

throw one copy in for fun if you want. keeps you from decking out for a turn for nearly sure.

His and my decks are almost exactly the same. The only difference is 3 Outstanding Dog Marrons. He uses them to keep from decking out. I tried 1 in mine for a little bit. It helped a little when it came to cards where I need to discard from my hand. Other than that, it didn't really mess with me much. I don't use it in my deck anymore though. It got annoying.

I didn't say that. Outstanding Dog Marron just gets in the way a bit to much.

Woohoo, it's light, TARGET FOR HONEST =D

On a serious note..

This card has no practical application what so ever, unless you are playing some obscure deck that ends up losing frequently due to self deckout, in which case you're probably doing it wrong anyway.

I already run 5 dogs in my Lightsworn Deck. 3 Wulfs and 2 Rykos. 1 more sounds stupid. Ryko is fine at 2, Wulf at 4 would be illegal and Marron is terrible and uneeded in Lightsworn.

If you're honestly stupid enough to get yourself milled to death with LS, just use Magical Blast. Not that I'd advise anyone to ever use it though, but it at least has some mild use of making Lumina and Lyla into slight burn damage rather then just making you sit and mill useless monsters, and then forcing you to draw into one, because once you draw one it's GG.

I remember mine ex-girlfriend using this (or, to be more precise, a deck that used Marron in an especially obscure version of Empty Jar, with tinges of Burn/Stall) against me (I played Neos Turbo).

I misplayed grandly, and nearly lost... to be saved by Injection Fairy Lily.

Good times, goooooood times....

If I remember correctly, Magical Blast can't stop you from losing if your deck is actually already empty.

And no, I don't understand why.
