I know Spell Counters are old, but I'm reviving them for the sake of wanting Arcanite Magician to be cheaply versatile. :>

 

Arcanite Synchron

When this card is sent to the Graveyard, activate 1 of the following effects:

● Place 1 Spell Counter on a Synchro Monster you control.

● Remove 1 Spell Counter from your side of the field to destroy 1 face-up card your opponent controls.

 

Arcanite Fodder

LIGHT [] Spellcaster / Effect [] Level 1 [] 0 / 0

By discarding this card from your hand, place 1 Spell Counter on a monster you control.

 

Arcanite Magician Substitute

LIGHT [] Spellcaster / Synchro / Effect [] Level 5 [] 200 / 900

"Arcanite Synchron" + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

When this card is Synchro Summoned, place 2 Spell Counters on it. This card gains 400 ATK for each Spell Counter on it. By removing 1 Spell Counter from this card, destroy 1 card your opponent controls.

 

Miller's Arcanic Prayer

Normal Spell Card

When this card is activated, activate 1 of the following effects:

● Send the top 2 cards of your Deck to the Graveyard. Add 1 "Arcanite" monster from your Deck to your hand.

● Send the top 3 cards of your Deck to the Graveyard. Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Arcanite" monster from your hand.

● Send the top 4 cards of your Deck to the Graveyard. Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Arcanite" monster from your Deck or Graveyard.
