Which is better?

RPG Maker 2000:

*Lower Res Tiles and chars

*Character maker utility

*More resources

* RPG Maker XP resources can be easily converted to this format

RPG Maker XP:

*Higher Res Tiles and chars

*Has a utility to convert RPG2000 resources to its kind

*Ruby *.*

Add on any more points that should be considered when selecting which program and why.

XP. You said 2000 can be converted so I would get everything on 2000 plus XP. XP is like both combined plus more. Therefore, I pick XP. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong :)

btw PIKACHU and KARIBO are AWESOME (levels him up to 80 and 18) I hope to see them at Lv. 100 one day.

how did i get smilies in there? lol

Why'd you leave out 2003 and VX?

2003 is just an upgraded version of 2000 and VX is just really easy to use.

Out of every RM program, I vote VX because it has script compatibility, plus the standard graphics are very beautiful, but next is 2003. 2003 is awesome because that's what people make recs for most often. Plus there's always the charas project generator, so you're never really at a loss for sprites.
