Who would win - Joey or Syrus?

not always. Joey may just accuse Syrus of cheating and challenge him again

LOL

That sounds like Joey. Lose the duel, accuse of cheating, then switch out cards for the next duel.

Of course, it'll be hard to accuse Sho of cheating. He doesn't have multiples (Espa Roba) and he doesn't scent mark his card (Mai Valentine)...

Joey is a descent person' date=' he wouldn't continue to insist upon such a thing (still after BC he hasn't relied on the Time Wizard even once, so it's a start)

If we're talking about EARLY Joey, then he probably WOULD continue to insist upon it. But since we're not, you got a point.

Of course, he'd still be frustrated to all hell. THAT'S unavoidable.

(Even with his majority of luck cards, he's still up there amongst the greatest duelists - only trailing behind Kaiba and Yugi/Yami)

At least we can safely say that a duel between Sho and Joey would be INTENSE and definely worth watching. =D

you DO realize an underdog is not a bad thing, right? That's the main thing Joey has problems dealing with when it comes to Kaiba because it doesn't matter how many opponents he beats. If he can't beat Kaiba, he's still considered "a useless and incompetent monkey". Defeated by Syrus will only further Kaiba's insistence

Oh, I never said that it WAS a bad thing at all. That was just the best title that I could think for him. It does fit perfectly, considering how many people doubt his dueling abilities time and time again.

Ah, that one. That's the GENERIC thread, which doesn't leave too much room for discussion. This one can get into more specifics.

Id say joey, because if he is considered the 3rd best duelist ten years(?) after the original anime ended then he must have rearranged his deck and gotten better cards and learned to use a strategy while dueling.. The main point people are making for syrus seems to be "the new cards and strategies" like joey wouldn't ever evolve?

Well how much do you think he'd evolve by the time he duels Syrus?
