Mewtwo was the coolest until Generation IV, when they made all these new pokemon. honestly, generation IV pokemon are stupid-looking, but Darkrai is definitely coolest.

OK one more time before I get told off for Spam, Mewtwo IS the best. It comes 2nd for highest SATK and joint 5th for highest SPD. Don't argue none of you really know how deadly Mewtwo is. I could quite easily start of with my Mewtwo and stroke your entire team, no joke or exaggerations inserted.

Mew is deadlier as it can learn all TM moves and learn anything.

No it isn't, Mew is way down at 51st for all it's stats apart from HP, Mewtwo will kill it in one hit.

Mewtwo is pretty good when talking about SpA, but something that has a higher speed or can survive one hit, namely a Darkrai, can own it.

Mewtwo is NOT the best, since it all depends on what type of good legendary you are aiming for. If your opinion is legendary with most SpD is the best, Mewtwo is not good. ;)

Actually Dark, Mewto is capable of having a higher Speed stat that Darkrai, that's why I mentioned the Focus Sash as that would be its only hope.

Yeah, but Darkrai with a Focus Sash can put it to sleep and easily own with Dark Pulse. And you didn't comment about the Mew with Choice Scarf and U-Turn.

Mew with Choice Scarf is good Dark hadn't thought of that but then again I've never heard of it. However if Mewtwo has a Lum (Entirely situational) which I assume a few people use in Ubers just so they can counter a Sash Dark Void.

Lum Berry? In Uber? Wow, I can see Lums being used in Battle Tower, but no good Trainer would use a Lum in normal Meta. Again, Choice Scarf U-Turn Mew may not kill a Mewtwo, but it might to enough damage to help the next PKMN kill it.

Actually Lum is a great Item, it really craps up alot of teams especially after it means they've just wasted a turn and took what might be a fatality. A few people I've seen have about Lums on three of their Pokes. When you consider that it's a one off immunity to any status move it's quite a bonus.

 

Aslo the Choice Mew if not in one hit would come in after Mewtwo KO'ed 1 other Poke then finish it off. I don't think a Scarfed Mew would be a good Poke though, if you were choicing Mew or Mewtwo I think you'd pick Mewtwo.

Lum is rarely used in Ubers, although I have seen countless OU Pokemon use them. Uber is more fast-paced and relies on speed, not really status inflictions. That's why either BURN or SLEEP are the most common in Uber, the rest are thrown aside. Lum is a great item, don't get me wrong, but there are so many other BETTER items that Lum is thrown to the OU and BL.

 

And Mewtwo is 10x better than Mew, but a Choice Scarf U-Turn could be a nice set-up.

True but Still if we're talking about Choice Scarf with a U-Turn that's quite common in most sets. Scizor, Staraptor, Jirachi and pretty much all Choice sets have it (apart from Specs of course). So really a Choice Scarf anything could kill Mewtwo with U-Turn unless a switch is made to protect it.

Even a Choice Scarf Mew? With a +ATK Nature and 252 EVs, it can only reach 328 ATK. Is that enough?

No it's not, If it's got a +ATK nature it's speed suffers and if it has a +SPD nature I doubt it could kill Mewtwo in two hits, Mew's not a good Poke. A Choice needs to move fast and hit well not move at an average speed and hit like a NFE Pokemon.

Let's estimate that Mew has around 270 Speed without a Choice Scarf, Speed Neutraled nature. That's 405 speed, more than Mewtwo can dish without a Choice Scarf. And +ATK is 328 ATK, and with a S-E U-Turn... =\

I'm not saying it's bad but of all the other options out there I'm sure there's one better than Mew. My Salamence for example would be faster and stronger and it's not even supposed to be a Choice Scarfer.
