Also train the team some more, crappy levels. It'll be easier on you if Mudkip is a Marshtomp (Spelling?). You'd beat the first gym with this team but it'll be easier later on.

There are three things you can do in Pokemon:

 

Shanoa's Way: Train 6 Pokemon at low level(s) to get higher type coverage.

Dark's Way: Train 3 Pokemon at somewhat high level(s_) to get type coverage and higher levels.

Felix's Way: Train 1 Pokemon at really high level(s) to get no type coverage but a strong Pokemon.

 

If I were you, I would start using my way. ;)

Correction Dark I agree with what you say. Three Pokes are the best, in Pearl I went with Luxray because he looks cool, Staraptor because... it looks cool and Empoleon because I likes Penguins. after that I did some research into competitive play and played the crap out of it.

 

He should go with Shroomish, Mudkip and... Ralts.

Actually, I normally do use 3 or 4 Pokemon instead of 6.

 

But on an emulator, you can speed up the game, and it makes more sense to use 6 Pokemon that way since it doesn't take any time at all to train Pokemon.

Ok, I guess that is true. But, I can never beat the D/P Elite Four with only one Pokemon, I need 2 for type coverage. >_<

DPP is the only game where I couldn't just use 1 Pokemon, which is what made it so great.

 

You actually needed 3 or 4 Pokemon to get through.

I beat the game with an Empoleon and a hacked Charizard. Best type coverage, Empoleon knew Water, Steel and Grass type moves, Charizard knew Fire, Fighting, and Flying. Did you know that Arceus' are the best HM slaves, since they can learn all of the HMs. And Mew. But aside from hacking, BIBAREL IS AN AWESOME HM SLAVE.

I usually teach it Surf, Waterfall, Strength, and Rock Smash. I think. Maybe Cut was switched with one of them.

It can learn Surf, Waterfall, Rock Climb, Strenght, Rock Smash... uhh... and some others. =D

That is my least favorite word. OK, new topic. Which is better, Darkrai or Mewtwo? Because Darkrai has STAB S-E against Mewtwo, but Mewtwo has a higher SpATK. =\
