GLADiator Beasts, its glad for a reason.

so after careful consideration between trades, money and more trades, this is what i came up with for Gladiator Beasts. it is still under construction, as i still need 1 more test tiger, 1 more laquari, 2 defensive tactics, and perhaps a Retiari. in anycase, here we go.

2x GB's Battle Archfiend Shield

1x Heavy Storm

1x Dark World Dealings

 

Traps: 5

1x Disarm

1x Parry

1x Torrential Tribute

2x Double Tag Team

 

this deck was made 1 week ago and has not lost a game yet. even when the game looks grim, Gyzarus and Heraklinos came and saved the day, giving me the ultimate win.

3x Solemn Judgment

Something like that would be alot better.

Your deck failz terribly. Normally Id say "Your doing it wrong" and just leave but Im in a generous mood today so Ill attempt to not only fix your deck but explain the fixes.

 

Okay Number 1: the monsters you SHOULD NEVER run:

Test Ape

Dimicari

Spartacus

Alexander

Giant Rat

These are just terrible, so terrible they make me want to die inside seeing them in here. Rescue Cat Should only always be run at 2, but not in the main, run in side along with Dark Panthers which you need to side in here, speaking of which wheres the side deck?

 

Now lets look at the individual counts of the remaining Monsters

1x Laquari

Laquari should be run at 2, always. It allows easier Herks and is hands down the strongest monsters you can normal summon and tag into.

 

2x Bestiari

This is fine where it is. Some people run at 3, I find at 3 its a dead draw to often.

 

2x Test Tiger

This is one of teh BEST cards in the deck, as it allows for a tag without a battle which can turn a monster which cant help, like say Laquari VS DAD int a monster like Murmillo VS DAD which can kill DAD when tagged in. Also used in a combo for insta-Gyzarus.

 

2x Hoplomus

Its not essential and shouldnt be run at more than 1 as its only used usually for a starting play ro atag after Gyzarus is tagging. Put to 1.

 

2x Murmillo

This is a monster that is hard to get tags with. Only used for its destruction ability, leave at 1.

 

2x Equeste

A great card that can recycle your monsters like Darius assuming they are all in grave or War Chariot, your best Gladiator Beast-themed trap card.

 

2x Darius

This is a great monster for its part in teh insta-Gyzarus combo (which you need to figure out). Leave at 2.

 

0x Prisma

This is a MUST in Gladiator Beast decks as you can turn it into Bestiari or Laquari and give Darius targets to get an early Gyzarus or Heraklinos. This also speeds up the deck TREMENDOUSLY as it can also become Bestiari to contact fuse with a monster on the field already. Run at 2.

 

0x Retiari

This is an eh card. Im trying to fit this into my GB deck as its abusable and can slow down decks like LS and Tele-DAD. Run at 1.

 

Okay now lets see your new monster Lineup:

3x Test Tiger

2x Laquari

2x Bestiari

2x Darius

2x Prisma

1x Hoplomus

1x Murmillo

1x Equeste

1x Retiari

 

OKay while this is good its not good enough. Now is when we start to put in the staples and splashables. You need to add a Breaker, Grand Mole, Sangan, Morphing Jar and 2 D.D. Crow.

 

Breaker - Its a walking MST that can kill most used non-tribute monsters in teh current meta.

 

Grand Mole - Its a MASSIVE hit VS Tele-DAD. It can throw away your opponents Stardust Dust Dragon, Goyo Guardian, or Thought Ruler Archfiend, The most used of the Tele-DAD synchros, putting them back into the extra deck and be recycled in the process returning to your hand.

 

Sangan - Can search out Crow and Tiger. It can also search out the other lower atk monsters but the first 2 are the recommended targets

 

D.D. Crow - Stops reborn, can slow down Tele-DAD, and removes Stardust, keeping it from coming back after it countered you.

 

Morphing Jar - Best draw power in deck.

 

Now lets see your monster line up:

3x Test Tiger

2x Laquari

2x Bestiari

2x Darius

2x Prisma

2x D.D. Crow

1x Hoplomus

1x Murmillo

1x Equeste

1x Retiari

1x Breaker

1x Mole

1x Sangan

1x Morphing Jar

Bolded are additions

 

You are now at 21 monsters, which is the perfect amount here. Now its time for the spells, which yours are horrendous.

 

The spells you have that should never be run:

Collesium

Battle Manica

GB's Respite

GB's Battle Archfiend Shield

Dark World Dealings

 

That only leaves you with Heavy Storm and MST... for god sakes your not even running Monster Reborn.. Here are teh spells you need to add with explanations on why:

 

Cold Wave - This deck should rely on monsters to do the destructions, which is what GB monsters do. Run at 2

 

RotA/E-Call - Searches out Prisma. Run at 1

 

Gladiator Proving Ground - Searches out the GB monsters. Run at 1

 

Monster Reborn - If you need to know why Im gonna punch you.

 

Book of moon - Can stop your monsters from being attacked or can use on things like SDD. Max it.

 

Shrink - Can lower your opponents monsters by half when they attack which wil allow you a tag and to do damage at the same time. Put at 2.

 

Your spells should be like this:

1x Heavy Storm

1x Mystical Space Typhoon

1x Gladiator Proving Ground

1x E - Emergancy Call

1x Monster Reborn

2x Book of Moon

2x Cold Wave

2x Shrink

 

Now you have 11 Spells. Your traps, as well as the rest of the deck is horribly wrong. Disarm, Parry, and Double Tag Team shouldnt be run. Run these instead:

 

Solemn Judgment - You can counter anything with it, its an epic card should be in anything. Max it.

 

Gladiator Beast War Chariot - Counters cards like DAD, simple as that. Also recyclable with Equeste. Run at 2.

 

Bottomless Trap Hole - Can kill monsters that are special summoned, like DAD and can get rid of them for good, like Mezuki or Zombie Master. Run at 2.

 

This should be your traps

1x Torrential

 

After youve done this your deck list should be:

You can only run 1 Stratos. I would use RotA or E-Call and not Stratos since you should always be aiming to get Prisma out as soon as possible. Prisma only needs to be at 2 in this Format. 2 RotA/E-Call is fine in a Deck like this since Prisma usually gets returned to the Deck and there will be times when you will need it again.
