legendhiro
i don't want it to be too long. my specials are the "movies" of my fanfics, so 3 times the legth of one episode/chapter is a pretty good length. don't worry, they'll be a good length. legendhiro
chapter one of my special is up. i changed the format a little from what i said it would be. also, the fight in chapter one was not originally going to be there, so the special will be a little longer than expected. frohawk, i hope i did your character justice! [spoiler=Chapter One] Glary “John,” said Sarah, “I’m not tired yet.” She sat up and her curly hair fell messily into her eyes. I sat up and sat back against a tree, facing her. “None of us are, but we need to get some rest. Our battle with ViralManipulamon was only a week ago, and we’ve all worked really hard since to help with repairs to the Citadel. Whether we feel it or not, our bodies are worn out. We need to rest.” “Oh come on,” said Jeremy, the fully alert Mechmon hanging from a tree branch above his head, “there’s got to be something we can do to pass a little time.” I looked around. Everyone was awake now and all eyes were upon me. “Fine,” I said, “get the fire going.” Once we had our campfire going again and we were all settled in around it I looked around at my friends. We were all here; Jeremy, Mechmon, Jen, Coltmon, Sarah, Ponymon, Amanda, Chickomon, Serpentmon, BlackColtmon, TechnoPupmon, and myself. The five humans and seven Digimon that made up my ragtag group of Digidestined. “Alright,” I said, “there’s nothing better when camping out than a story told around the campfire. Anyone have a good one?” Mechmon, likely the most knowledgeable in our group, raised his hand. “I have a story for you guys,” he said, and he began… Mechmon This is an ancient story to me, but not so much to you humans. It takes place only eight years ago in Human World Years, but that was a full four Human World Years before the Great Synchronization that synched time in the Human World with time in both Digital Worlds. Back then four years in Human World Years was the equivalent of hundreds of Digital World Years. I don’t know if this story is true. I don’t know if anyone does. All I know is that it is a legend told throughout both worlds, even though it takes place only in the original Digital World. This is the story of the first human to be called Digidestined. But first I must tell you about Glary. A very long time before Digidestined were used to protect the Digital Worlds in the stead of their Gods, the Four Digimon Sovereigns, the Sovereigns decided to create an artificial partner to enhance the power of a Digimon warrior as a sort of experiment. So they used data from various sources to create a digital man, giving him enhanced speed and strength. They also encoded him with the correct data to enhance the power of a particular Digimon; a red mech named Droidmon, a Digimon built to be the ultimate machine. This ability would eventually become the basis for the Digivice. Glary and Droidmon fought in many battles and they never lost a one. They proved to be great warriors. But something strange happened. In time Glary and Droidmon developed emotions that they were thought not to be able to feel. As a result the two decided that they would rather journey together than continue to fight. The Sovereigns realized that their experiment was a failure, but they also saw that they had created two living and fully sentient beings who should be free to make their own choices. So Glary and Droidmon were allowed to go on their way and find their place in the world that they called home. Glary’s journey took him to a distant place deep in the forests of the continent of Server. A peaceful place known as Digi Garden where the data of all fallen Digimon goes to be reborn, after being judged worthy by the Digimon God of the Afterlife, Anubismon. At Digi Garden Glary and Droidmon found peace, that is until the day that an evil Digimon stronger than anything ever seen at the time descended on server, attacking near the Digi Garden. To protect their home Glary and Droidmon once again rushed into battle. There enemy called himself Genocidemon. He was a massive armored brontosaurus-like Digimon with fierce red eyes and two enormous cannons on his back. His skin and armor was gray washed, making his colors pale orange, chrome, and blue. His body seemed to be breaking down. His armor, though strong, was corroded, and his flesh seemed to have degraded away almost completely in several places, exposing his data and fractal code. He had two bony wings with fractal code running between the bones. After clashing with Genocidemon for a few minutes it became clear to all concerned that the two had met their match. But despite that fact, Glary and Droidmon wouldn’t give in for anything. “You won’t get past us,” said Glary. “We are Glary and Droidmon, two of the most powerful warriors to ever live. You cannot defeat us. We won’t let you.” Glary, clad in a black suite and gloves, straitened his bowlers cap so that the rim darkened his face. “No,” said Genocidemon, his voice echoing in the darkness of the deepening twilight, “it is you who cannot defeat me. I will destroy all things, for I am the embodiment of genocide. I am Genocidemon!” The massive Dark Dragon Digimon took aim with his cannons and he fired beams of pure dark energy with a wicked green aura. The two smaller warriors jumped out of the way. Droidmon fired lasers from a distance while Glary ran toward the foe at an incredible speed, jumped up, and hit Genocidemon in the jaw with a mighty and solid uppercut. But as Glary fell back to the ground, he fell past a cannon attached to the armor on Genocidemon’s chest. Genocidemon fired the cannon, catching Glary in his right arm. If it had been anyone else the arm would have been blown away. But because of Glary’s determination only a portion of his arm was lost, the gap filling with his own data and fractal code. Glary landed in a crouch, holding his injured arm. Droidmon, his greatest friend and ally, ran to his side-. And was hit by an energy blast from Genocidemon’s mouth. As Glary and the young Digimon living in the nearby Digi Garden watched in horror, Droidmon’s digital matrix began to break apart. Without a second thought Glary jumped in the way of the blast, holding it back from his friend with his own hands. Stray energy washed up and threw Glary’s cap away. The energy tore at the flesh around his right eye until the eye socket had been destroyed and only the eye and some fractal code remained. “Droidmon,” said Glary, “get out of here!” “No!” said Droidmon, his voice like grinding metal. “If you stay, I stay by your side!” Glary smiled, “Then let’s finish this fight together!” Glary strained, pushing the beam back. Behind him Droidmon began to glow. He was encased in light and began to change, becoming an armored mech with thick shoulders and massive strong arms. “Droidmon, Digivolve to! ProjectDroidmon!” ProjectDroidmon used various rockets to rise into the air and scanned Genocidemon with a flash of light from his eyes. Attached to each of his arms there appeared a copy of one of Genocidemon’s back-mounted cannons, and on his back appeared copies of Genocidemon’s wings. Like an avenging angel the mighty mech called, “Death-Bringer Accelerator!” The cannons fired, nailing Genocidemon square in the back. His cannons were crushed under the impact and his face slammed into the ground, his eyes falling closed. Glary picked up his hat and replaced it, adjusting the rim so that it darkened the damaged side of his face. “You have endangered the lives of innocent Digimon for the last time,” Glary said. “To repay you for your deplorable behavior I will kill you with my own hands!” His left hand was wreathed in light and swirling data, and he punched with enough force that it caused Genocidemon’s body to ripple from head to tail. Light poured from Glary’s hand over Genocidemon’s massive form. “I can’t die!” Genocidemon cried, as his data broke apart and disappeared. The young Digimon who had been watching cheered. Thanks to Glary and his partner, the Digital World would remain safe for a long time to come. Next Chapter Fredrik Caryston

legendhiro
here's the next chapter, the debut of finalflash's character. [spoiler=Chapter Two] Fredrik Caryston Now, on to the story at hand. Hundreds of years later in Digital World Time, and eight years ago Human World Time, a sixteen-year-old boy named Fredrik Caryston was caught in an electrical storm on his way home. After his parents died when he was ten he lived in an orphanage, until just recently when he was emancipated and moved out on his own. This electrical storm triggered a power surge in several digital sources, creating a freak digital pulse that pushed Fredrik into the Digital World. He landed in the middle of a small village in Server where he met Garurumon. Both were loners with less than pleasant pasts, so they became fast friends. At the time Fredrik wanted to find a way home, and Garurumon agreed to help him. The two decided to travel Server. They left the village and found themselves face to face with a thief named Musyamon. Between Garurumon’s fighting instincts and Fredrik who knew martial arts the duo was able to defeat Musyamon. As a result, Garurumon Digivolved to WereGarurumon, and Fredrik took the fallen Musyamon’s katana as his own. Because of WereGarurumon’s fierceness in battle Fredrik gave him the name Fang. Fredrik and Fang traveled together for the next year, making a name for themselves as heroes, until they found a pretty large town where many different types of Digimon lived together in peace. Fredrik and Fang were taken in by the grandmotherly Babamon, the owner and manager of a restaurant that she inherited from her husband Jijimon after he passed away. She let them stay in the spare room of the apartment above the restaurant, which was called Jiji’s Café. In exchange they helped in the kitchen a couple days a week and looked after the people in town. It became their home, and Fredrik, who had never been able to get close to anyone except Fang since the death of his parents, began to look at the townspeople as his new family. It was nearly six months later that a new evil appeared. An evil stronger than Genocidemon. He was called DarklordVilemon. He was a green-skinned demon-like creature, twenty feet tall, with four broad bat-like wings and a mane of black hair around his neck. He had fierce red eyes, and in his talon-like hands he carried a sword and a staff. His body was protected by thick, strong black and copper armor. He was strong on his own, but also commanded a legion of hundreds of Vilemon, green bat-like creatures, and when he screamed the entire world seemed to shake. Fredrik and Fang, the Heroes of Server, were called upon to face and defeat this evil that threatened to conquer the entire Digital World. They met him as he advanced from his latest stronghold toward the town that Fredrik and Fang called home. The Vilemon advanced first. “There are hundreds of them,” said Fang, his voice a raspy growl. “That won’t be a problem, will it?” Fredrik asked, running his fingers through his spiky hair. “Of course not,” said Fang, pulling his hands from his pockets and baring his teeth and claws. Fredrik smiled, “Good.” He drew his katana from his belt. The duo charged. The bat-like Vilemon circled overhead and fired pulses of sonic energy from their mouths. Fredrik and Fang dodged easily. Fang cupped his hands. Fredrik jumped up, landing his feet in Fang’s hands, and Fang tossed him up into the air. Fredrik kicked, catching several Vilemon with his feet and legs. Them he threw his weight, causing himself to spin, and swung his sword, slicing about a dozen Vilemon. They became data. Meanwhile Fang jumped up and spun calling, “Garuru Kick!” He kicked, crushing a dozen Vilemon. Then he slashed, flinging red blades from his claws at the thickest grouping of Vilemon. Three dozen more were shredded by the attack. That’s when the Vilemon backed off and their master approached. Fredrik and Fang landed, standing side by side and facing their new foe. DarklordVilemon looked down on them and sized them up. “You two are very strong. I’m not heartless. And I am going to need strong warriors in my army. Join me and I’ll let you live.” “Would you spare the lives of this world’s Digimon, specifically the ones in the town that you have been advancing toward?” Fredrik asked, even though he knew what the answer would be. “Of course not,” DarklordVilemon replied. “The town you speak of is in the site of my new palace.” Fredrik grinned a wicked grin, “You are as likely to call off your attack on this world as I am to join you. Now surrender before we kill you.” “Hmm,” DarklordVilemon said, “that’s too bad.” Fredrik was fed up. He charged, Fang following by his side. The duo jumped up and attacked, but DarklordVilemon brandished his staff, tossing them effortlessly to the side. Then, while the duo hung in the air DarklordVilemon swung his staff, slamming them to the ground. Fredrik hit his head hard. He sat up. There was a cut in his forehead, and one of his ribs on the right side was broken. He looked over at Fang, who wasn’t in much better shape. He was holding his injured left arm and there was blood in the corner of his mouth. DarklordVilemon turned in midair and started back toward his stronghold in the distance. He looked back over his shoulder and said, “I will give you six hours, and then I will return. If you have not changed your minds by then, you will die.” “We need some help,” said Fang. “We won’t be able to win on our own this time.” “No!” said Fredrik, slamming the tabletop where he sat with his fists. The duo had returned to Babamon’s café. They had bandaged their wounds and were discussing the situation. Baba was listening from her place in the kitchen. She remained silent. It was Burgermon, the waiter, who spoke up. “Come on Freddy,” he said, “you can’t do everything yourself.” “I won’t put others in danger to cover my own failings,” Fredrik said. He stood up and headed for the exit. Fang followed hastily. Once the two were outside Fang grabbed Fredrik by the arm and said, “I know you’ve been through a lot, but it’s okay to show some weakness every once in awhile.” “Not if you’re me it’s not,” said Fredrik. He twisted his arm from Fang’s grasp and looked across the street where a group of Koromon were playing. “The Digimon in this town are my family now. I was too young to do anything when my parents were in that car accident. I’ll be damned if I let my Digimon family die too.” Fredrik walked for awhile, Fang walking quietly at his side. Fredrik kept walking until he saw something that he never thought he’d see in the Digital World; a human man. The man was tall and slightly pale. He was dressed strangely, wearing a tattered black suite, tattered black gloves, and a bowler’s cap, the rim of which darkened the right side of his face. There was a bandage wrapped all the way up his right arm. Behind him stood a large red mech Digimon that took up the entire width of the street. The man saw Fredrik. “You are Fredrik and Fang, the ones called the Heroes of Server,” the man said, “correct?” “Yes,” said Fredrik, placing his hand on the hilt of his sword. “Now, since you seem to know so much about us, why don’t you even up the score? Tell us who you are.” “I’d be glad to. But first meet us outside of town.” The man jumped up onto a nearby roof and then jumped away. The mech flew into the air and followed. Fredrik and Fang gave chase. It wasn’t long before they found the man and his Digimon a good distance from the town border. “Now that we’re here,” said Fredrik, facing the man, “tell me who you are.” Fang growled loudly. “My name isn’t important now,” said the man. “I’m here because a threat has arisen that is great enough to threaten my home. I must know if you, the famous Heroes of Server, are strong enough to help me destroy it. Come at me so that I can sample your strength.” “Sorry,” said Fredrik, “but I have my own enemy to worry about.” “Our enemies are the same,” said the man. “I also seek to destroy DarklordVilemon.” Fredrik smiled, tightening his grip on his sword. “Then I’ll fight you, but I have to warn you; I’m in a really bad mood today.” The man was silent. Fredrik charged and lunged, swinging his sword, but the man deflected it and punched Fredrik in the gut, sending him flying through the air. “Fredrik!” cried Fang, moving in the direction of his friend. But his way was blocked by the red mech’s massive fist. Fang turned to face the enemy who was nearly twice his size, just in time to see the mech’s left hand break apart and reform into a metal version of Fangs own claws. The claws glowed, and the mech slashed. Fang slid to the side, avoiding the attack, and kicked. His foot was deflected by the mech’s huge right hand. Fang kicked off of the hand, spun, and back kicked the mech in the face. Then he slashed with his own claws. The mech leaned back just in time to avoid serious injury. Meanwhile, Fredrik flipped and landed on his feet in a crouch. He stood up and ran at his opponent, throwing his sword and distracting his foe just long enough for him to get in close. He punched at the man’s face, but his strike was deflected. The man attempted to counterattack by kneeing Fredrik in the gut, but he found his knee deflected by Fredrik’s own knee. Fredrik pushed himself up off of the man’s knee and kneed the man in the face. The man stumbled back, grabbing Fredrik and tossing him over his shoulder, but the damage was done. The man’s hat was thrown away. Fredrik recovered and looked at the man’s face. At the wound around the man’s eye. “W-What are you?” Fredrik demanded, picking up his sword, Fang moving to stand by his side. “I am Glary,” the man replied, returning his hat to its place on his head, “and you have passed my test.” Next Chapter Alliance

legendhiro
chapter three had arrived! only one more to go before the special is over...the battle with darklordvilemon begins. who will be victorious? [spoiler=Chapter Three] Alliance ProjectDroidmon, Glary’s partner, waited outside of town, standing watch in case DarklordVilemon decided to come back early. Meanwhile Fredrik, Glary, and Fang went back to Jiji’s Café to discuss things. Babamon closed up the restaurant and the three sat down at one of the tables, going over the situation. “I was created centuries ago by the Gods of this world to act in its defense,” Glary explained. “but even though I was strong I didn’t enjoy fighting. I got tired of the constant conflict that I was faced with in my old life, as did my partner, Droidmon. We went on a journey, looking for a place where we belonged, and we ended up in Digi Garden, the place where the data of worthy Digimon goes to be reborn. We found an inner peace in the outer peace of the Garden, and we made it our new home. Then some time later a Digimon attacked the Garden, damaging my body and nearly destroying Droidmon, until he Digivolved into his current form, ProjectDroidmon. Since then we’ve gone out of our way to dispense of any evil powerful enough to threaten the Garden. DarklordVilemon is such a threat. “ProjectDroidmon detected DarklordVilemon a week ago, and the two of us moved to meet him in battle. We fought hard, but ProjectDroidmon is fairly slow on his own. His greatest weapon in combat is his ability to scan the attributes of the enemy and reconfigure his own matrix to duplicate them. But when he copies an attribute, it’s never as great as the original. He copied DarklordVilemon’s sonic scream, but DarklordVilemon was easily able to cancel out the attack. Essentially, ProjectDroidmon’s powers are useless against DarklordVilemon. Between DarklordVilemon and his Vilemon army we were unable to deal any real damage before we were overpowered and nearly destroyed. We were forced to retreat and search for help. DarklordVilemon has ignored Digi Garden for now, but he won’t ignore it forever. Will you help ProjectDroidmon and I defeat DarklordVilemon?” “No,” said Fredrik. “In fact, if you and your metal friend are still here in and hour Fang and I will destroy you ourselves. This is our town. We’ll protect it.” “But Fredrik-,” said Fang. “No,” said Fredrik, “I told you before; I fight my own battles.” “No,” Fang yelled, “you don’t! You fight with me! These two are great warriors who have offered their help, and we’re gonna take them up on their offer!” Fredrik was stunned as he looked into Fang’s face. Then he looked down at his hands, grinding his teeth, obviously deep in thought. Finally, Fredrik sighed. “Fine,” he said, “we’ll all work together.” He offered Glary his hand, and Glary took it. At that moment a powerful alliance was forged. When DarklordVilemon returned he found Fredrik and Fang waiting for him. “Have you made your choice?” DarklordVilemon asked, his Vilemon troops swarming around him. “Yeah,” Fredrik said, “we’ve chosen to destroy you.” “And we,” said Glary, standing behind the foe, “have chosen to help.” “Hmm,” said DarklordVilemon, “so you’re teamed up. This should be interesting.” “You won’t be around long enough to be interested,” Fredrik declared. He ran at DarklordVilemon, Fang close behind. “Sorry, but my subjects are getting restless.” He looked around at his soldiers, “Vilemon, attack!” The hundreds of Vilemon swooped down on Fredrik and Fang, launching their attacks. The duo threw their arms up to guard. “DarklordVilemon!” screamed Glary, jumping up behind his foe, his fist glowing. “Huh?” said DarklordVilemon. He turned and raised his sword, just as Glary punched. Fist met blade, and energy pulsed, throwing Glary and DarklordVilemon apart. The stunned DarklordVilemon looked around to find ProjectDroidmon’s fist only inches from his face. DarklordVilemon jabbed with his staff, catching ProjectDroidmon in the chest. The mech’s armor crunched and whined as the tip of the staff pierced it, coming in contact with the circuits underneath. ProjectDroidmon was forced to fall back to avoid potentially fatal damage. But DarklordVilemon wasn’t finished. He swung his staff. ProjectDroidmon raised his right arm to deflect the blow, and the armor over his forearm was shattered. “Without your duplication power you are useless, machine,” said DarklordVilemon. He raised his sword, “Now die!” He swung, but hit only air. He looked around, searching for his query. ProjectDroidmon had been pulled out of the way at the last minute by Glary. The two regrouped and were ready to launch their counterattack. They lunged, side by side, but DarklordVilemon seemed to have had enough. “Sonic Reaper!” called DarklordVilemon. He screamed, sending waves of sonic energy pouring over the duo, throwing them back to the ground. They found themselves pinned, unable to move. DarklordVilemon continued his attack. Much longer, and Glary and ProjectDroidmon would die. Then suddenly DarklordVilemon was thrown forward. He ended his attack and cried out in pain. He spun around, his back smoking, and saw Fang, his claws still glowing, the remains of the Vilemon forces still vaporizing all around him. Fang smirked and pointed at the ground below DarklordVilemon’s feet. DarklordVilemon looked down, just in time to see Fredrik jump up, swinging his sword. The sword seemed to glow, and Fredrik called out, "Zanmato!" “Impossible!” DarklordVilemon said as the sword passed through his armor, piercing his chest. Fredrik fell back to the ground, landing on his feet. DarklordVilemon hung in the air, grasping his chest. He whispered, “Impossible.” Glary and ProjectDroidmon, though still disoriented, managed to rise to their feet. The four stood together. Their foe landed, breathing hard. Then he began to laugh. “It seems that I might have underestimated you,” said DarklordVilemon. “Oh well. I guess I’ll just have to go all out from now on.” DarklordVilemon raised his sword. It glowed blue, resonating with great energy. “Soultaker Wave!” he called, swinging his sword and slinging sonic energy from it at the four who opposed him. They scattered, but it was too late. The wave hit ProjectDroidmon’s left arm, and his arm all the way up to his shoulder literally vibrated apart. While their foe laughed hysterically, the four looked on in a stunned silence. They had never seen such power. “Do you see now?” DarklordVilemon asked. “You never had a chance against me. Now come at me, and let’s finish this fight!” Next Chapter End

legendhiro
and now the final chapter of the special. who wins? find out now! [spoiler=Chapter Four] End “We don’t have a choice,” said Fredrik. “If we try to run it’ll just make it easier for him to pick us off.” “I agree,” said Glary. “Win or lose, live or die, it’s time that this ended.” Fang and ProjectDroidmon nodded. Fredrik looked around, and he noticed that they were close to the forest. He leaned in close to Glary and whispered something to him. Then he said, “Go!” He and Fang charged toward DarklordVilemon, maneuvering themselves so that they were between their foe and the forest edge. Glary and ProjectDroidmon, keeping low, ran into the forest and out of sight. Fredrik and Fang jumped up, prepared to strike. DarklordVilemon screamed, hitting the duo hard. It hurt just as much Fredrik thought that it would. The sonic blast hit the forest over a wide expanse, kicking up a large amount of dust. Then it threw Fredrik and Fang sprawling into the dust cloud where they were caught by Glary and ProjectDroidmon. They were safe. Because DarklordVilemon had been focusing on Fredrik and Fang, he hadn’t seen where Glary and ProjectDroidmon had gone, and because of the dust, he hadn’t seen where Fredrik and Fang had ended up either. The four found a dense part of the woods to use as cover, taking the time to regroup. Fredrik sighed, “We have some time, but not much. We need some kind of plan.” “If only my powers were more effective against him,” said ProjectDroidmon, “I’d be more help. Plus his staff vibrates, letting it practically pass right through my armor.” Fredrik looked up and down his mechanical ally and said, “You know, I might just have an idea.” Meanwhile DarklordVilemon flew slowly over the forest, looking around intensely. “Come out, come out wherever you are!” he cried. He raised his sword and swung it, leveling an entire section of the forest. Then he struck again, and more trees fell. He struck again, and again. He raised his sword yet again, preparing to attack, when out of the corner of his eye he saw a red streak. He brandished his staff, deflecting the attack, and turned, expecting to see Fang. Instead he saw ProjectDroidmon, but a different ProjectDroidmon. His armor had diminished, making him lighter, and more free-moving joints had formed in his arms and legs. His torso had become more streamlined, and his remaining hand had reconfigured into WereGarurumon-esque claws. This was ProjectDroidmon after scanning Fang. This was ProjectDroidmon Rush Mode. DarklordVilemon raised his sword, but then he saw another red flash, coming from the other direction, within the trees. He was tired of playing games. He swung his sword, unleashing his ultimate attack toward the source of the red flash. The attack leveled more of the forest. DarklordVilemon looked around. The next attack could come at any moment. But as he looked he realized that his enemies were nowhere to be found. They had retreated into the trees once again. Fredrik, Fang, and Glary ran side by side. They were soon joined by ProjectDroidmon and stopped. They turned and ran at their foe. When they were close, Glary and Fang grabbed Fredrik by the arms. They threw him up at the foe, and he swung his sword. The startled DarklordVilemon raised his sword to block, and suddenly Fang and ProjectDroidmon were to either side of him. They slashed with their claws, pushing the foe back. That’s when Glary and Jumped up, his glowing left fist raised, and punched DarklordVilemon in the face. There was a burst of light, and DarklordVilemon was thrown through the air. He hit the ground, unmoving. The four landed near each other, waiting to see if their foe would rise. He did. And he wasn’t hurt. Instead he seemed excited. He laughed and looked up at the sky. “Finally I may have found an enemy worthy of my time. But my goals are too big for me to waste time with you. You four are obstacles in my way. You have to die.” DarklordVilemon turned to the four and raised his staff, slamming it into the ground. Tectonic waves tore the ground apart. Fredrik, Fang, Glary and ProjectDroidmon were forced to jump up into the air and scatter. DarklordVilemon rose into the air, just above the ground, and shot strait at Glary. ProjectDroidmon saw the enemy’s advance and activated his rockets, moving to intercept. He raised his claws and thrust, but DarklordVilemon ducked and stabbed with his sword. ProjectDroidmon slid to the side and kicked. DarklordVilemon blocked with his staff, spun, and swung his sword, slashing ProjectDroidmon across the chest. As his partner hung unmoving in the air, Glary ran across the broken ground, trying desperately to reach him in time. But he was too late. DarklordVilemon swung his sword, calling, “Soultaker Wave!” He released his attack, which overcame the machine Digimon, ripping him apart. His various parts lay scattered across the broken earth. Glary fell to his knees as the parts became data and faded away. Glary seemed too stunned to move. Then he rose to his feet, turned to DarklordVilemon, and said, “Even if it costs me my life, I will destroy you.” Fredrik and Fang faced DarklordVilemon as well from their place a good distance away and said, “The same goes for us. Your evil has been allowed to exist for too long already.” “Then come at me,” said DarklordVilemon, “and we’ll finish this.” The three warriors ran strait at their foe. He screamed, but they dodged the resulting sonic attack. Glary summoned the light into his hand, even brighter than before, and punched. DarklordVilemon raised his staff, blocking the attack, but the punch broke through the staff and carried through. DarklordVilemon was pushed back, but he recovered quickly and unleashed his sonic attack again, slamming Glary into the ground hard enough that the ground collapsed in on him. He didn’t re-emerge. Using the distraction presented by Glary’s advance Fredrik and Fang got in close to their opponent. They lunged, but DarklordVilemon was fast. He brandished his sword, deflecting Fredrik’s and Fang’s attacks. The duo hung in the air. DarklordVilemon called his attack and swung his sword, unleashing his Soultaker Wave strait at Fredrik. Fang reached over and pulled his friend out of the way, throwing him to the ground. But the same motion threw Fang into the path of the attack himself. The attack hit and Fang cried out in pain. “Fang!” Fredrik cried. “Here!” said a voice. Fredrik looked toward its source. Glary had emerged. His hat had fallen away, as had most of his bandage. He was breathing hard. In his left hand he held a jumble of code. You couldn’t tell by looking, but it was the part of his fractal code that he used to help his partner Digivolve. He threw the code to Fredrik, who caught it in his right hand. As soon as he touched the code it became a small blue device. The device began to vibrate and changed color, becoming a darker blue and growing transparent. Fredrik aimed the screen at Fang, who was encased in blue light. The light dispersed DarklordVilemon’s attack. “WereGarurumon, Ultimate Digivolve to!” He became a metal wolf made of green, blue and yellow metal plating with guns on his shoulders and tail and a massive cannon on his back, “Z’dGarurumon!” This new Digimon aimed his weapons at DarklordVilemon and called, “Full-Metal Blaze!” His legs and chest opened up, revealing various weapons. All of his weapons fired at once, and DarklordVilemon was overtaken, his armor stripped away in chunks. “No!” he cried as his body began to strain. “I am DarklordVilemon. I am invincible!” “Wrong,” said Fredrik, jumping up and raising his sword. “No one is invincible,” he said. He swung his sword, calling, “Amano Kenbu!” His sword passed strait through DarklordVilemon, cutting him in half. He became data and disappeared. Fang suddenly shrunk, becoming a furry orange ball with a large horn on its forehead. The orange ball fell, and Fredrik caught it. “Fang, is that you?” “Yeah,” said the orange ball. “I’m actually the Baby 2 Level Digimon Tsunomon now, but you can still call me Fang if you want to.” Fredrik nodded and looked around. The earth around him was shattered. A testament to the battle that had unfolded. Fredrik heard footsteps behind him. “Glary,” he said, “I’m sorry about your friend.” Glary simply replied, “Death is not always absolute when it comes to Digimon.” “What will you do?” Fredrik asked. “I’m going back to Digi Garden. I’m confident that Droidmon will be reborn, and whatever form he takes, I want to be there waiting for him.” So Fredrik and Glary parted ways. Thanks to the Digivice that Fredrik now possessed, Fang became WereGarurumon again in record time. Even though he never became Z’dGarurumon again, he and Fredrik were still plenty strong enough to face whatever they encountered in the future, and the two lived long and full lives. Meanwhile, in Digi Garden, a man in a suite and bowler’s cap with a bandaged arm sat against a tree with a Digitama in his lap. Just as he dozed off, the egg hatched. Next after a break, the first chapter of book 2 will be posted. it won't be right away, but you won't have to wait too long!
.:Abarai Renji:.
Sweet man! Really sweet. Still, I hope that Fredrik and Glary will be able to meet the other Digi-Destined, even if it is a hundred years between them.
