This has been bugging me for ages...

 

I want to give people my Emoticon Tutorial, but I am afraid they will sell them in their shops...Which I dont really want...

 

So, anyone got any idea's on how to "Copyright" MY emoticon Design, none others, just mine.

Thanks to killerxkid, I have some ideas on how to show without people selling my emoticons...

 

1. Threaten to Mass neg them to HELL!!!1!!11!!11!11one!1!!!1!

 

2. Put a CC License on it, If i could/knew how =D

 

3. PM It to people who I trust.

b. Make a unique design, and use Creative Commons licensing...

c. Make it PM only to people you trust *hint* *hint*.

So, it's a copyright infringement, so it's illegal, stealing, a few Negs won't hurt, court will.

I'm 13 and I do. It's copyright settings you can put on your artwork, usually Linkware (they must provide a link back), or artist credit (must give, well, the artist, credit).

You're on my buddies list :P Anyway, I have over 200 custom smiley items, like eyes, signs, hands, feet, etcetera, I don't need any more :P

Well, I'm pretty sure it's not too hard to get a CC license, but I forgot exactly how already. Been a while ago, and I never actually had a use for it.

 

The best method out of all those choices would be to just plain threaten them, but a better choice would be to just NOT distribute it, since you don't want other people to make emoticons and have a chance at selling them, right?

How about:

 

Give the unique design a Creative Commons License, Make it PM Only, for people with something like 500+ Posts only and you trust them, and if they do steal it, Neg them.

 

You can't go wrong there.

You should just neg them a lot, and report them if you've stated no copying.
