Metagame thinks Tempest Magician is a Time Lord.

If I may compare Yu-Gi-Oh to some kind of video game (Besides the... actual crappy video games with terrible AI. I mean a real video game.), there's little satisfaction when you start the game on easy mode and instantly turn on God mode just to get past level one.

However starting as the little guy and taking down a behemoth is always much more satisfying.

I lost my train of thought halfway through this post.

His point also seems to be that it makes the game better because he gets to play as the underdog against a ridiculously powerful deck. His logic breaks down when you remember that the underdog is supposed to lose most of the time, and thus we just get a stupid battle of Tele-DAD versus Tele-DAD, with a few extras trying to win with underdog decks and generally getting crushed. Hope you had fun losing, Jerome; I'm sure the enjoyment you gained from it was worth destroying the entire game. >_>

My conclusion is that this guy has been watching far too much TTGL, where trying to go BEYOND THE IMPOSSIBLE and ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWAH actually works every single time. Actually, that's true of basically every show with the underdog protagonist trying to fight against the Big Bad, but TTGL is the only one I can think of that actively and openly declares it to be the fundamental property of the entire universe. Maybe Jerome didn't notice that Kamina's attempts to take down Ganmen using only a katana were never even remotely effective, and that Simon had to come bail him out every single time.

Basically, Jerome wants to be like Kamina, but isn't nearly as manly.

...I think I wandered away from my original point in there somewhere. >_>
