Holy Babylon Posted November 6, 2008 Report Share Posted November 6, 2008 Yankeefan is a great person on this site, and I mean GREAT, but seriously, give them a warning before you lock them down, most of them are new to this site and have no idea to read the rules or anything. Give them a quick walkthrough of what to do when they screw up. I'm not saying that he's doing anything wrong when he locks them up, but sometimes he get like all aggresive about it. I know plageurism is a SERIOUS thing, but don't get all quick about it. I'm not trying to be mean at all, I know you're doing your job, but maybe you can change the rules around a bit. At least let them a warning before you lock. I've been plageurised (Deadlycreampuff, the name, is mine), but I didn't think it was that serious, if it were me personally, I would actually help them, not lock them. Yankeefan, you're a great moderator. P.S. I've only used DevianArt ONCE, and that was like my second card and I didn't read the rules. NOOBS: READ THE RULES! Also, Yankee is just doing his job. He is supposed to LOCK any rule-violating thread the moment he sees it since he's a mod. Cut him some slack too. Also, it's not brutal. If I was brutal, I'd be adding a +20% warning on all those locks. ;) It is my job to lock a thread that is against the rules. If you havent noticed, more often than not, I have posted what they have done wrong, and have said they can fix it by pming me. I'm not mad at you having your opinion however, in fact, I'm glad that there are some people that arent 100% into what I'm doing, it makes the job alot less exciting if it where that way, lol But, really man, the issue isn't me, it's that nobody is reading the rules. RestLess-BoTics Posted November 6, 2008 Report Share Posted November 6, 2008 It doesn't hurt your record or anything if one of your threads are locked... :/ Most new members fail to read messages/warnings given by a moderator, so locking a thread before a message/warning is absolutely necessary.
