Valkyrie Lupia Blitzer
http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Anti_Raigeki Is this viable in Traditional?
Wyhe
it is utterly useless since it needs the opponent to play a certain card & that certain card happens to be banned from the game
CrabHelmet
It's horrible in Traditional. And if Raigeki was legal in Advanced, it would be horrible in Advanced too.
Flame Dragon
Even with Trap of Darkness this is crap.
CrabHelmet
Trap of Darkness has Huge Revolution anyhow.
GenzoTheHarpist
Even with Trap of Darkness this is crap. Actually this card can't do anything even if you use it with Trap Of Darkness. It still requires Raigeki since the activation requirement is part of the effect, like trap hole or something.
Mr. Judgment Dragon
I laugh at this terrible card. It is a terrible way to counter a Limited in Traditional card. There are more efficient ways (Solemn, Bribe, Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell shuts it down but not really a good counter, Stardust, PMD). I could go on but Im too lazy to do so. werewolfjedi
and why did they think even for a single moment this card would be good in any way?

~/Coolio Prime\~
It's just a shitty attempt at making a card like Raigeki balanced. Like Gryphon Wing, or the ghost that could counter Yata Garasu.

GenzoTheHarpist
That was a slip-up on my part. What i'm trying to say is that when Raigeki is activated, it's effect can resolve. You can activate it at other times with Trap of Darkness but it's effect will just fizzle since even though it was activated it still can't resolve correctly. Question: If you mimic "Trap Hole" with Trap of Darkness, can you just blow up one monster of 1000 or higher attack even if it had been summoned on a previous turn? All it gets is the effect and since it has been activated nothing else can prevent it from resolving your opponent should lose their monsters. Yes. Valkyrie Lupia Blitzer
"all of your opponent's monsters are destroyed in place of yours." That implies that Raigeki needs to be activated. Anti Raigeki needs errata. Btw, Trap of Darkness = Trap version of Diamond Dude. Duuuuuuuude. Raigeki is part of it's effect, in fact there's no clear difference between the cost/requirements and the effect on Anti-Raigeki. You can activate Anti-Raigeki all day long but you won't get any benefit unless Raigeki was activated.
