Luna Lovegood
Ok, so I always get surprised when I receive warning, usually from a certain mod, they know who they are. So I think a PM should come with every warning stating a i depth why you have received the warning and a link to the thread with the rule you broke. Also, I think there should be guidelines to what mods give out, because I have received between 1-4 points for 'spamming'. I think that it should be regulated so yeah.My Ideas 1. PM with every warning and link to the rule you broke 2. Guidelines to what warning different rules earn you.
CinnamonStar
1) There is already a possibility to send a PM with an in-depth explanation, but I always thought the reason spot and additional notes would make it clear enough... But anyway, if you want I can send you a PM from now on.^_^ 2) We have something like this too, BUT remember that there are specific rules for every section. I think I made it clear in the sticky with the General Rules that the penalty for spamming has been increased in the meantime.Just for the record, intentional spamming is usually punished by a 50% increase of your warn level, so I don't see why you start complaining about 40%... moneypony
i agree, although i (hopefully) haven't received a warning yet,i would like to know when i get one and why, perhaps they should let us go PM the super mods and complain to see if they can remove it. Bloodrun
An option to send a PM is there. But, the member receiving the warning, should know enough, that they shouldnt have done whatever it is that they did, to receive the warning. To make us do more work, to fit your fancy, even though you are the one, breaking the rules, is preposterous.
Luna Lovegood
I am suggesting that one is automaticly sent

One was because General isn't General anymore.
CinnamonStar
Now let's see... 3 of your warnings were for copypasting the same sentence in Introductions over and over again in order to raise your post count. Another one was for making pointless posts in the Name Change Guru thread and yet another one was for spamming in your thread about cows. It was not because of the thread itself, but many of the posts you made were unrelated to the topic. Making unrelated posts has nothing to do with General, but the global site rules say that it's not allowed anywhere. Actually, I've been wondering lately how come the only members who keep bickering about their warnings are Necro Lord and Ninja Steve while most of the other members may question their warn level, but stop b*tching when they get an answer. I have one thing to say about this, which was posted by my dear predecessor: *sigh*I don't understand why you guys are making such a big deal about this. This is a freakin' internet forum. You guys are taking this way to seriously. I seriously don't know why I come back to this site every day. All you guys (some of you) do is just whine about everything. You all whine and complain about about spammers, so to fix that, we get a new warn system, and guess what, you're all complaining about that too. Seriously, I don't have time for any of this. ^I start understanding what he meant... And Ninja, for the 123456789th time, General is still General and I've been on the site for a longer time than you to know what is appropriate there and what not. Now you can come on me with your dictionary definitions, but this is not real life, but an Internet forum. You cannot apply the same definitions everywhere, it's as if you would open a sexshop in the Shops section, with the reasoning "BUT IT SAYZ SHOPS AND A SHOP IZ A PLACE WHERE YOU SELL AND BUY THINGS, SO IT MUST BE ALLOWED!!!". No, it's not, it would be like this in real life, but on this site, shops are only for graphics. In the same logic, "anything" means that you can talk about anything which doesn't fit into the other sections, but which still follows the rules. The spammy posts you made did not follow the rules and were therefore not appropriate, even in General. Please guys, stop using the General section as your garbage, it's not because it's called General that it gives you the right to post any crap which comes to your mind. If you still don't get it, look at the paragraph above. I hope this cleared up some things, if any of you still have any doubts or complaints, let's continue this via PM. Luna Lovegood
I am feeling like negging the useras who have gone WAY off topic, including you Raven. The topic is what goes with warnings, not what General is for.
CinnamonStar
I was replying to the post above and it's also the reason why I said the discussion should go on via PM.To answer the question, read post #2. Saturn of Elemia
Well, she did answer the questions. Not spamming. Usually, you are warned about what rule you broke. It's common sense: Don't spam and don't cause trouble.

I will try not to forget it, though.:PDid this clear up your concerns? Also, I requested this to be locked so let's wait until a super mod comes around.
