Tefached
Should people be allowed to give others reps just because its their birthday? There are many flaws in the rep system but either way this is something that can be controlled. Whenever a favored member[mostly favored sometimes an unknown member] has a birthday many people give them reps but anyone can just keep changing their b-day in the edit profile to once a month giving the person multiple reps without an actual valid reason. discuss...vote..meh
2sick4u
A) Rep's don't matter; Remember? B) Rep's are designed to promote certain behaviour, I guess. In that aspect; these types of reps shouldn't be allowed. C) People get Reps for reaching a certain post amount, or just about anything. In that aspect; they should be allowed. D) Birthday's are an anniversary thing. Thus, they're celebrated. You give someone a Birthday rep to show you care; of sorts. E) Yeah. Most people make up a Birthday. I know I made mine up, but then again, it's only a month off of the real one. It's a coin-toss thing. People are for and against it. So; as a result, if you're against it, don't Birthday rep people. If you're for it; then, knock yourself out. EDIT: Yeah; didn't realize you could change it. Still; if someone has Birthday reps up to a Month before the one you're giving, something should be telling you to stop. =/.
JG.
I say they should be allowed for the same reasons that 2sick4u gave.
Larxene
If they made it so that you couldn't change your birthday after you registered, then that would be fine >.> Also, it's spelled allowed

Catman25
You bring up a good point, changing birthdays, but would people be that selfish to change their birthday to get more reps on a forum?
Tefached
exactly. restrictions at least should be put up.I've seen members do it. set their b-day up, a month later same person has a b-day again....
Catman25
Well members seem like they'll do anything for a pointless green number.

~Rebellious Rage~
Yes, they should be aloud. If someone checks their reps and sees two sections of birthday reps in the same year they can report or give a neg for changeing their birthday to invalid dates. Christian-Exodia
My real birthday(Which I said was real) was yesterday. I think they should keep them unless it's a fake birthday & they know it, & fake birthdaying shouldn't be allowed. I think once you put your birthday on there, it stays on there
bury the year
I think once you put your birthday on there' date=' it stays on there.[/quote'] No, it doesn't. You can change it. I say nay, simple for the fact that it's basically rep spamming. Use your cranium, and you'll see my logic.
RestLess-BoTics
You only have your birthday once a year, so it wouldn't hurt for people to acknowledge it using reputation points... -Glasstin
