Synchronized
Thanks to Extreme Enigma for writing the Six-Man Tag Team Match.
ECW – The Immortal Strategy Anaheim - California Red fireworks explode across the stage as the next exciting edition of ECW is set to begin! "Hello and welcome to E C W! I'm Todd Grisham alongside Matt Striker, and we're live in London in the United Kingdom!" Shelton Benjamin Tons of boos fill the arena as "The Gold Standard" emerges on the stage. He's wearing a pair of blue and white wrestling tights and a pair of white wrestling boots. The ECW Championship is around his waist, and the fans boo as he walks past them. "It's exciting to be here tonight, especially after such a huge Raw last Monday Night! This crowd in London is just as excited as they were last night at Raw, and I'm sure tonight's show won't disappoint!" "Matt, I know you like Shelton Benjamin, but what did you think of his actions at Extreme Rules?" "Shelton Benjamin didn't do anything wrong at Extreme Rules. He's a Champion, and he went out to the ring and successfully defended the ECW Championship. As much as I respect Tommy Dreamer, you can't expect Shelton Benjamin to just let Dreamer win so he keeps his job. It doesn't work that way, Todd." "I understand that part, mostly, but I was referring to Brownlee's actions. Many people are saying that it's because of Brownlee that Shelton Benjamin is still the ECW Champion." "I disagree, Todd. Shelton Benjamin took the fight to Tommy Dreamer last night at Extreme Rules, and Brownlee did whatever he did for a reason. While Brownlee's actions may not be considered "right" by some people, it was an Extreme Rules Match, so anything goes. No rules were broken last night." "Thank you, thank you." Benjamin says, mocking the boos that fill the arena. "All I've been hearing for the past two days is that I screwed Tommy Dreamer. I've got some news for you; I didn't ask Brownlee to come out and help me, but I'm not going to complain that he did. The match was an Extreme Rules Match, and Tommy Dreamer knows just as well as I do that in that type of match, you need to expect everything." The boos continue, louder than before. "You guys can boo all you want; it doesn't matter to me. All that's important to me is, well, me. That, and this." He holds up the ECW Championship and the boos continue. The Championship shines as the light reflects off of it. "When I came to ECW, I did it because I saw an opportunity. I saw the opportunity to become the ECW Champion, and I capitalized on it. I am the best pure athlete in WWE today, and I'm undoubtably the best athlete on ECW. I ended Tommy Dreamer's career at Extreme Rules, but I didn't have any disrespect for the man. Dreamer was a good athlete, and he gave a lot to the fans, but I wasn't going to let that get in my way. I don't play to the fans, and I don't plan on it. I care about Shelton Benjamin, and that's not gonna change. See, what people need to learn is..." Theodore Long Cheers fill the arena as the General Manager of ECW, Theodore Long, appears on the stage. He smiles, holding a microphone and dressed in a tan suit. "It looks like our General Manager has heard enough." "It appears that way, Todd. Theodore Long always has something interesting to say, and I'm sure that this time will be no exception." "I'm sorry to interrupt you, playa, but I've got an announcement to make." The crowd cheers a bit; Shelton Benjamin seems upset. "Two nights ago at Extreme Rules, you defeated Tommy Dreamer to retain the ECW Championship." Boos fill the arena as the crowd is not happy with Shelton's victory. "I'm not gonna give my opinion on the matter, as I am the General Manager and I try my best to be unbiased. However, as the General Manager, it's my responsibility to make an ECW Championship Match for The Bash. So ya see playa, I've decided to make a match. Right here tonight, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry is gonna compete in a Triple Threat Match against Brownlee," the crowd boos at the mention of Brownlee "and Devon Immortal!" This statement gets a negative reaction. The crowd seems angry, and Benjamin does as well. "Wow. What a match that's gonna be. Either Mark Henry, Brownlee, or Devon Immortal is going to go The Bash and compete for the ECW Championship against Shelton Benjamin. Impressive match on behalf of Theodore Long." "This will be Devon Immortal's first Official Match here on ECW, and his first appearance here on ECW in weeks." Commercial break The Hart Dynasty The fans boo as the new ECW Tag Team Champions, accompanied by Natalya, enter the arena. Tyson Kidd walks down the ramp and pretends to high-five a couple of fans while David Hart Smith and Natalya follow him. Kidd and Smith climb the ring apron and hold the ropes for Natayla as she enters the ring. The boos continue as they hold up their ECW Tag Team Championship Belts. "Welcome back to E C W and we've got a big show tonight! We learned before the commercial break that Mark Henry will face Brownlee and Devon Immortal in a Triple Threat Match tonight. The winner of that match will go on to face Shelton Benjamin for the ECW Championship at The Bash." "That should be a good match. Matt, I know you're a big fan of The Hart Dynasty; do you think their loss last week affected them in any way?" "As much as I respect The Hart Dynasty, when you're in the ring with Evan Bourne, Rob Van Dam, and the Big Show, your chances of winning aren't too great. Even graduates of The Hart Dungeon are going to struggle in that situation, Todd." Big Show The crowd pops huge as The World's Largest Athlete walks into the arena, some perhaps taken aback by his massive size. He raises his arm in the air on the ramp and yells to another big pop. He walks to the ring, high-fiving some fans along the way. "I've been told that this is going to be a two-on-one Handicap Match, meaning Big Show will face both David Hart Smith and Tyson Kidd." "Despite the two-on-one advantage, I still see Big Show winning this match. The man is nearly five-hundred pounds, and his strength is just unbelievable. The Hart Dynasty is gonna need some major luck to win this match." First Match: The Hart Dynasty vs. Big Show [2-on-1 Handicap Match] Match: "Big Show" chants start almost instantly as the crowd tries to get behind The World's Largest Athlete. After a moment of discussion, Tyson Kidd decides to start the match. He goes for a Right Hand, yelling as he does so, but Show blocks it with ease. He grabs Kidd's neck with both hands and hurls him halfway across the ring. The crowd pops huge as David Hart Smith watches - seemingly worried - from the ring apron. Show goes for a Clothesline, but Kidd ducks it. He rebounds off the ropes and hits a Chop Block to the back of Show's leg, taking The World's Largest Athlete down to one knee. He rebounds off the opposite ropes and tries a Crescent Kick, but Show blasts him with a Clothesline. Looking to continue dominating, Big Show grabs Kidd's head and pulls him to his feet. He Irish Whips him into the corner and hits a Corner Clothesline. Kidd falls to the mat in the corner and the crowd pops. "What exactly do you make of this, Matt? What does The Hart Dynasty need to do here?" "Based on what we're seeing, they need to focus on surviving. Big Show is completely dominating this match." David Hart Smith and Natalya watch with concern as Kidd gets to his feet, still in the corner. Show looks at the crowd and says "SHHH!" He tries to slap Kidd in the chest, but The Dynamo ducks it. He runs to the corner and makes the Tag to a reluctant David Hart Smith. He looks at his opponent, trying to find the best strategy to take the big man down. Foolishly, he proposes a test of strength. Show complies, but David Hart Smith kicks him in the chest. He follows it up with a couple of blows to the back, looking to keep the upper hand. He tries a DDT, but Show pushes him into the ropes with ease. David Hart Smith rebounds off the ropes...SPEAR! The crowd pops as Show gets to his feet, having just taken down a man less than half the size of him with a devastating Spear. "Wow! You don't see that every day! Big Show nearly broke David Hart Smith in half with that Spear!" "Things aren't looking good for The Hart Dynasty!" Tyson Kidd runs in the ring and tries a Clothesline on Big Show, but gets a Big Boot to the face instead. David Hart Smith ascends to the top turnbuckle and hits Show with a Diving Axe Handle. The crowd boos as The World's Largest Athlete stumbles into the ropes. David Hart Smith tries an Irish Whip, but Big Show reverses it. David Hart Smith off the ropes...BACK BODY DROP! What elevation! Natayla yells to the ECW Tag Team Champions to get to their feet, but it seems to have no effect. "Big Show" chants begin to fill the arena once again as The World's Largest Athlete signals for a Chokeslam. Tyson Kidd gets to his feet first and the Referee orders him out of the ring. David Hart Smith tries to take advantage of a distracted Big Show with a Big Boot, but The World's Largest Athlete dodges it. David Hart Smith turns around....CHOKESLAM! Hooks the leg..."1! 2! 3!" Thanks for coming! Winner: Big Show "What a powerful performance from that man, the Big Show!" "Big Show just made quick work of the ECW Tag Team Champions, and if he wasn't being noticed before, he definitely is now." "Still to come tonight, a Triple Threat Match to determine the Number One Contender for the ECW Championship!" "Who will go on to face Shelton Benjamin at The Bash? We'll find out tonight!" Commercial break He wanted respect...he wanted to make a name for himself. And thanks to lucky timing, he was able to do so. After winning a WWE Scramble Match, The Miz has earned himself a World Heavyweight Championship Match! At The Bash, The Chick Magnet challenges The Charismatic Enigma Jeff Hardy for the World Heavyweight Championship! The Miz can talk the talk, but can he walk the walk? WWE Legacy™ Presents: The Bash! Live Sunday June 28, 2009! Only on Pay-Per-View! "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, Brownlee!" Tons of heat fills the arena as the man who just a week ago was a fan favorite, Brownlee, appears on the TitanTron next to Ryan Wall. He's dressed in street clothes, but he does have a match coming up a little bit later. "Brownlee, two nights ago at Extreme Rules, you cost Tommy Dreamer his match with Shelton Benjamin, costing him his career in the process. Can you give us an explanation?" "You want an explanation? Quite honestly, I don't feel I owe anyone an explanation." He pauses and the crowd continues to boo. "But I'll humor you. When I made my WWE Debut, I thought I could easily get over with the fans with a unique personality. It worked, and I was doing well. Then, I was Drafted to ECW and I wasn't quite sure how I would fit in. I'm not the most extreme person, so this didn't seem like my thing. Still, I went out to the ring and performed at my best. Two weeks ago, I was defeated by Shelton Benjamin. That's when I realized that I didn't have to be extreme to fit in." The crowd boos. "See, Shelton Benjamin's not exactly extreme, yet he truly is the best athlete on the brand. He's the ECW Champion, and I feel that he's deserving of that Title." "You Suck!" chants begin to fill the arena. "As for Tommy Dreamer, I feel I did the WWE Universe a favor. He was like what, forty years old? Come on; his time as an athlete was almost over anyway. The way I see it, Tommy Dreamer was going to lose anyway. I wanted to make an impact, and there was no better way to do it then by ending the career of a washed-up hasbeen that all of these people love to cheer. I don't need a unique personality to be successful here on ECW, because quite honestly, I'm better than most people here." The boos continue, but they stop as Mark Henry appears on the TitanTron. He stands in front of Brownlee with a look of intensity. "What do you want?" "What do I want? I want to tell you two things, kid. One, nothing is more important to me than being Champion, and I don't let anything get in my way of that. However, I had respect for Tommy Dreamer and the way you disrespected him didn't go over well with me." The crowd pops huge. "Tonight, in that ring, I'm gonna beat the h*ll out of Devon Immortal." Another pop from the crowd. "That's not all I'm gonna do, no." Henry shakes his head, smiling. "After that, I'm gonna beat the h*ll out of you!" "Henry" chants fill the arena as The World's Strongest Man pushes past Brownlee and walks down the hallway, leaving Brownlee with a disgusted expression on his face. "Things aren't looking very good for Devon Immortal and Brownlee right now, Todd. Mark Henry returned to ECW last week and defeated Ricky Ortiz before defeating Evan Bourne on the Extreme Rules Pre-Show. He's undefeated since his return, and tonight, he's angry." "So you predict that Mark Henry will win the Triple Threat Match tonight?" "Pretty much, yes." Goldust and Zack Blaze are standing in the ring, ready to compete in Six-Man Tag Team Action. Tyson Tomko The Problem Solver steps into the arena. He's dressed in metallic red wrestling tights and a pair of large black boots. He walks to the ring as the crowd boos, knowing that momentarily someone is going to get hurt. "Tyson Tomko looks focused, and with Zack Blaze and Goldust on his team, the advantage seems to be in his favor." "It's not often we get to see Six-Man Tag Team Matches here on ECW, and I'm sure this one won't disappoint." The crowd cheers as "Fireflight" plays throughout the arena and The Rapidfire Superstar makes his way into the arena. He walks down the ramp, high-fiving some fans with Zack Ryder following suit. West slides into the ring and Ryder does the same. The cheers continue as they each ascend a turnbuckle and taunt for the crowd. "I've been extremely impressed with Chris West and Zack Ryder as a Tag Team here on ECW. They picked up a big win over Zack Blaze and Goldust last week, and a win here could really get them on the path to an ECW Tag Team Championship Match." Ricky Ortiz It's time to "Rally Up!" as one of the first superstars to join ECW through Theodore Long's New Talent Initiative makes his way into the arena. He swings his "O'Rally" towel around as he walks down the ramp, trying to "Rally Up!" the crowd. Upon entering the ring, Ortiz throws his "O'Rally" Towel into the crowd to some cheers. After a brief conversation with Ryder and Ortiz. Chris West starts out, Tomko and his team don't really discuss the matter, and Golddust ends up in the ring. West and Golddust trade blows, with Golddust getting the upper hand, he Irish whips West who comes back with a leapfrog over the Bizarre One's head and hits a Neckbreaker. Cover 1...2..Not yet. West goes to the top rope, and waits for Golddust to stand, but, Golddust instead rolls to the corner and tags Tomko. "Look at the mat sense of the Bizarre veteran Golddust!" West jumps looking for a Cross Body, but Tomko catches him, turns, and hits a Last-Call like move throwing him into his team's corner, West reaches up and tags Ricky Ortiz into the ring, Ortiz hits a couple of hard right hands on Tomko, before Tomo whips Ortiz, who comes back off the ropes, Big Boot! No! Ricky ducks it and hits a Chop-Block, taking Tomko down. Ortiz rolls Tomko over, and goes for the Big O! Tomko gets the knees up! Ortiz rolls out of the ring in pain. Tomko directs traffic, telling Golddust to go get him back in their, before he tags Zack Blaze. Ortiz is thrown back into the ring, after taking a few shots, Ortiz gets to his feet but he's quickly taken down with a German Suplex Bridge-Pin 1...2...No! Ortiz gets a foot on the middle rope, Blaze holds the bridge and Golddust comes in with a Baseball Slide to the skull, before rolling out of the ring. "What great teamwork we see here from Tomko, Zack Blaze and Goldust!" "Ricky O is in a bad way; can he make a tag and get his team back in this thing?" Blaze releases the Bridge, before applying a Side Head-Lock he backs up into his corner, and Golddust taps him on the shoulder making the tag. Ryder and Golddust Double DDT Ortiz, before Golddust drags him into the center of the ring, and gets a cover 1...2...NO! Ortiz rolls the shoulder out, Golddust sets the opponent up in the corner, looking for Shattered Dreams, he runs, takes a right hand to the face, Ricky gets his legs loose, from the ropes and hits another right, before whipping Golddust off the ropes, Double Clothesline both men down, and crawling to the corners, Golddust tags Tomko, Ortiz is about to tag Ryder, No! Zack Blaze pulls him down off the apron his Jaw hits the apron, Ortiz doesn't seem to have the where-with-all to tag West before he takes a German Suplex from the apron to the floor from Blaze. Wow! This is incredible! West might be knocked out! And Ryder's out of it!" "Look! Ortiz is up." Ricky Ortiz, having made it to his feet, staggers towards the center of the ring, Tomko on the other hand runs in and hits an absolutely devastating Big Boot! "1...2...3!" It's over! Count to a thousand if you want! Winners: Zack Blaze, Goldust, and Tyson Tomko "Say what you will about Tyson Tomko, but he just annihilated Ricky Ortiz. This man has a future here in ECW without a doubt." "Well, coming up next, our Main Event! Mark Henry battles Devon Immortal and Brownlee in a Triple Threat Match!" Commercial break Arguably the best new superstar in ECW, Brownlee enters the arena to massive heat. He walks to the ring, ignoring the many fans that boo him. He steps into the ring and taunts the crowd mockingly before stepping down and turning his attention toward his upcoming match. "Brownlee claims that Tommy Dreamer's athletic career was almost over anyway, and that he did the WWE Universe a favor by helping Shelton Benjamin win at Extreme Rules. I'm not so sure I agree with that, but I'll keep my opinion to myself in this case." "Are Brownlee's chances of winning this match good, Matt?" "I'm not really sure to be honest. On the one hand, Mark Henry is a Former ECW Champion and The World's Strongest Man, and on the other hand, Devon Immortal is the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in Wrestling History. Brownlee did defeat Former ECW Champion Jack Swagger in his ECW Debut, but Jack Swagger isn't on the same level as Mark Henry and Devon Immortal in my opinion. Add in the fact that Mark Henry's angry, and you've got an equation that isn't so good for Brownlee." Devon Immortal enters the arena to major heat. There is a look of confidence on his almost-emotionless face. He walks to the ring, not paying any attention to the fans who show their opinions of him through boos. There is a microphone in his hand. "Hold on a second." The crowd boos. "Before we get this thing underway, I'd like to acknowledge something. I've been off television for about a month, and when I was at home watching the show, I noticed many people saying that they were the best here on ECW. It needs to be known that not only am I, Devon Immortal, the greatest superstar in Wrestling History, but I am better than any of the moderately decent losers standing in the back." Boos fill the arena. "Even Brownlee over here is terrible, but at least he had the common sense to realize that idiots like Tommy Dreamer have no place here." "You Suck!" chants fill the arena, but Immortal ignores them. "I am the youngest World Champion in Wrestling History, and at The Bash, I'll become the youngest ECW Champion in history. All of you will be forced to realize that I am as good as it gets. It doesn't matter who my..." Mark Henry The crowd pops huge as The World's Strongest Man enters the arena. He's heard enough, and he's ready to kick some a*s. Devon Immortal doesn't look happy about being interrupted, and Brownlee seems focused, yet nervous at the same time. Henry high-fives a couple of fans as he walks to the ring, while keeping his eyes locked on his opponents inside the ring. "It appears the time for talking is over! Mark Henry has heard all he wants to hear from Devon Immortal!" "Mark Henry truly is The World's Strongest Man, and he's a Former ECW Champion. If anyone's got the advantage in this match, it's Mark Henry." Main Event Match: Mark Henry vs. Brownlee vs. Devon Immortal Match: The bell rings and all three superstars stand in opposite corners of the ring. Immortal and Brownlee look at each other and nod, realizing that they have to team up to take Henry down. Both men run toward Henry, but he drops them both with a Double Clothesline. The crowd cheers as Immortal rolls to his feet only to get hit with a Scoop Slam from The World's Strongest Man. Henry rebounds off the ropes and tries to hit a Knee Drop on Immortal, but Brownlee moves Immortal out of the way. Henry lands on his knee and Brownlee capitalizes, hitting a Dropkick to the face. Cover by Brownlee..."1! 2!" Henry kicks out, throwing Brownlee off of him and halfway across the ring. Immortal begins to hit Henry with Right Hands to the face, looking to prevent him from getting to his feet, but Henry pushes him into the ropes. Henry goes for a Clothesline, but Immortal pulls the ropes down, causing The World's Strongest Man to fall out of the ring. DDT by Brownlee! Cover..."1! 2!" Immortal kicks out! "If one of these men is going to win this match, now is the time to do it. Mark Henry's down on the outside, and one of these guys can capitalize on that fact and pin the other one." "Brownlee tried to capitalize on the distraction with that DDT, but as you could see, it didn't work out so well." Immortal goes for a Clothesline, but Brownlee ducks it. He tries a Snap DDT, but Immortal counters into a Fisherman Suplex Pin! "1! 2!" Brownlee kicks out! Brownlee hits two Right Hands to the face and follows it up with a Vertical Suplex. The crowd boos as Brownlee taunts before going for a cover. "1! 2! Three--no!" Devon Immortal rolls the shoulder up. Brownlee hits an Elbow Drop to the chest, and quickly performs another one. He tries another cover..."1! 2! Three--no!" And again Immortal kicks out! "Henry" chants begin to fill the arena as The World's Strongest Man gets to his feet on the outside. He rolls into the ring, but Brownlee and Immortal hit a Double Baseball Slide, sending him back to the floor to a lot of heat from the crowd. "Henry's down on the outside, and Brownlee and Immortal can try to end this thing again! Who will win this big Main Event Match?!" Commercial break We return live and Brownlee has a Sleeper Hold locked in on Immortal inside the ring. Henry is still down on the outside. He begins to get to his feet as Immortal falls to his knees, fading from the Sleeper Hold. Brownlee doesn't see Henry enter the ring, and he takes Brownlee down - breaking the Sleeper Hold - with a Double-Arm Clothesline to the back. The crowd begins to cheer as Henry slowly starts to regain control. He gets Devon Immortal to his feet and Irish Whips him into the corner. BIG CORNER CLOTHESLINE FROM HENRY! Brownlee runs toward Henry, who moves out of the way, causing Brownlee to hit Immortal in the corner! The crowd pops as Henry lifts Brownlee above his head. MILITARY PRESS SLAM TO THE OUTSIDE! "Henry! Henry! Henry!" begins to fill the arena and the crowd is going wild! The World's Strongest Man pounds his chest. Immortal stumbles to his feet...WORLD'S STRONGEST SLAM! Cover by Henry! He's gonna go to The Bash! "1! 2! Three--no!" Brownlee breaks it up! Boos fill the arena as Brownlee hits Henry with some Right Hands to the side of the head, looking to gain control. He rebounds off the ropes – Henry still on the ground – and hits a Running Knee to the side of the head, causing The World’s Strongest Man to fall to the mat. ”Impressive move there by Brownlee. He’s really managing to keep Mark Henry down, and that’s the only way he’s gonna win a match like this.” ”I’m surprised to see Brownlee dominating like this. I expected Mark Henry to win the match moments ago with that World’s Strongest Slam.” Brownlee hooks Henry’s outside leg, taking a bit of effort to do so. “1! 2! Three—no!” This time Devon Immortal makes the save! Brownlee tries a Clothesline, but Immortal hits an Armbar Takedown! And another one. LEG LARIAT FROM IMMORTAL! Cover! “1! 2! Three—Brownlee gets his foot on the bottom rope!” “Henry” chants begin as the crowd tries to will The World’s Strongest Man to his feet. Immortal goes for The Immortal Technique, but Brownlee reverses it into a Back Body Drop. He taunts once more and the crowd boos. Brownlee goes to the top rope as Mark Henry begins to get to his feet. He leaps...going for a Missle Dropkick...counter! Mark Henry countered! He’s got him up! WORLD’S STRONGEST SLAM! Cover! “1! 2! Three—no!” Devon Immortal breaks it up! Immortal with a Dropkick to the side of the head of Henry! Henry rolls out of the ring and the crowd boos. Immortal gets Brownlee to his feet...THE IMMORTAL TECHINQUE!” Into the cover...”1! 2! 3!” And Immortal wins it! Winner [and the Number One Contender for the ECW Championship]: Devon Immortal ”You gotta be kidding me! Devon Immortal just showed extreme intelligence by using Mark Henry’s World’s Strongest Slam to his advantage and capitalizing on the victory!” ”Thanks to this, Devon Immortal is going to The Bash to face Shelton Benjamin for the ECW Championship!” Shelton Benjamin The ECW Champion, Shelton Benjamin, emerges on the stage and the crowd continues their boos from earlier. He nods toward Immortal and claps mockingly as the ECW Championship Belt rests on his shoulder. ”Ladies and gentlemen, thanks for watching ECW, and we’ll see you next Tuesday Night right here on Sci-Fi!”

You see Kofi Kingston sporting that Intercontinental Championship Belt that he took from Edge just a couple of weeks ago on Raw, and that was really a huge success in this kid's career.” ”For the past couple of years, people were sayin' that the Intercontinental Championship had been treated as an unimportant Championship; that it wasn't receiving the respect it deserved. A few months ago, Edge won the Title, and he promised to return Prestige to it.” ”I'm not Edge's biggest fan, but that man truly did bring back importantance to the Intercontinental Championship. He had a lot of successful Championship Defenses, and he continued to prevail until he was defeated by Kofi Kingston thanks to a little help from Shawn Michaels. I spoke to Kofi Kingston earlier today and he told me that he's honored to wear that Championship Belt.” The Brian Kendrick “Man With A Plan” plays throughout the arena and the crowd begins to boo. The Brian Kendrick – one of Smackdown’s up-and-coming young superstars – enters the arena. He dances on the ramp, wearing a black leather jacket that matches his black wrestling tights and boots. He makes his way to the ring, mocking some fans as they reach out for high-fives. ”From what I understand, The Brian Kendrick requested this match after being defeated by Kofi Kingston last week on Smackdown. One's gotta think that if Kendrick is able to win here tonight, he'll be next in line for an Intercontinental Championship Match.” ”Makes sense to me, J.R. I mean, Kendrick's a great athlete. These fans may not like him, but he doesn't let that bother him and that could be part of the reason he's so successful. Kendrick is a Former Tag Team Champion, and he knows how to win matches inside that ring.” Kendrick enters the ring and asks for a microphone. “Before I beat Kofi Kingston in just moments, I have something I need to say.” Kendrick knows that he has to stay cool; the boos from the crowd that begin to fill the arena have no effect on him, and that needs to continue if he wants to win. “Last week on Smackdown, I was cheated out of a victory. During my match with Kofi Kingston, I pulled a muscle in my knee. I was forced to continue by the Referee, and that's the reason that I lost. If I had the chance to compete injury-free, things would have ended differently. So tonight, I'm going to win and prove that there's no one more deserving of the Intercontinental Championship than me—The Brian Kendrick.” ”So according to Kendrick, he pulled a muscle in his leg during his match last week, so he wasn't one-hundred percent. If that's the case, then let's see if Kendrick can win tonight when he is one-hundred percent.” ”Don't you worry about that, J.R. There's no doubt in my mind that Kendrick's gonna defeat Kofi Kingston tonight. It was wrong that he had to compete last week, but he took it like a man and accepted defeat. Tonight, he's gonna prove that he's in contention for the Championship.” First Match: Kofi Kingston vs. The Brian Kendrick [Non-Title Match] Match: The two lock-up in the center of the ring and Kofi quickly applies a Hammer Lock to a small pop. Kendrick struggles to break the hold, but does so. He turns around and slaps Kofi in the face to some boos. Kofi goes for a Right Hand, but Kendrick ducks it and hits a Russian Leg Sweep. He rolls backwards and to his feet before hooking the outside leg. “1! 2!” Kofi kicks out! Kendrick looks at the Referee for a second, but decides not to waste time arguing. He rebounds off the ropes and goes for a Knee Drop, but Kingston rolls out of the way. Kofi rolls to the ring apron and leaps, going for a Springboard Dropkick. Kendrick blocks it, though, by pulling the ropes, causing Kofi to land on them. ”Talk about being in a bad way; Kofi Kingston's gotta be in a lot of pain right now after a move like that.” ”The Brian Kendrick has a great ring sense, and he demonstrated that by blocking Kofi's Springboard Dropkick. This guy is great.” Kendrick hits a Dropkick on Kofi, sending him to the floor below. The crowd boos as Kendrick tells the Referee to count. “1! 2! 3!” Kofi gets to his feet slowly. “4! 5!” Kendrick slides out of the ring and throws Kofi into the security barricade before throwing him into the ring. The crowd boos as Kendrick slides in the ring and hooks both legs. “1! 2! Three—no!” Kofi rolls the shoulder up! Kendrick runs his hands through his hair in frustration, wondering what he has to do to put the Champion away. “Kofi” chants begin to fill the arena as Kendrick Irish Whips The Jamaican Superstar into the corner. Kendrick goes for a Corner Clothesline, but Kofi ducks it to a big pop. Kendrick runs out of the corner...JAMAICAN CHOP FROM KOFI! And another one! Kofi hits a Scoop Slam! Rebounds off the ropes...BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! LEG DROP! Kofi hooks the legs! “1! 2! Three—No!” Kendrick barely gets the shoulder up! ”What a close call! Kofi Kingston almost had the win there! The thing about both of these superstars is that they're both so quick and agile; it's hard to predict a winner!” ”Kofi's impressive without a doubt, but I think Kendrick's gonna win this one.” Kendrick goes for a Clothesline, but Kofi ducks it before rebounding off the ropes and hitting a One-Handed Bulldog. Kofi jogs in place to get the crowd warmed up before going to the top rope. Kendrick stumbles to his feet...DIVING CROSSBODY! Wait! Kendrick reverses it into a roll-up! “1! 2! Three—no!” Kofi kicks out! Kendrick hits a Dropkick before falling to the mat. He grabs his right knee, signifying that it is in pain. The Referee checks on Kendrick as Kofi gets to his feet. Kofi walks over to Kendrick to see what's going on and the Referee tells him to wait. Out of nowhere, a fan leaps over the security barrier and runs into the ring. He hits a Death Valley Driver on Kofi and the Referee doesn't see it as he's checking on Kendrick. Kendrick tells the Referee he's fine and runs over to a lifeless Kofi. Kendrick hooks the legs! Not this way! “1! 2! 3!” Winner: The Brian Kendrick ”What? You gotta be kidding me! Who—whoever leapt over that security barricade just cost Kofi this match-up!” Kendrick celebrates in the ring as the person that attacked Kofi makes his way to the back through the crowd, smiling. He's about six feet, two inches tall with flat brown hair on his head. He's dressed in street clothes, and the crowd boos him. ”I don't really get what just happened here! It appeared as if Kendrick's leg had started hurting again, and while the Referee was checking on it, that man we just saw hit a Death Valley Driver on the Intercontinental Champion, effectively costing him the match.” ”Whoever that guy was, I assume we haven't seen the last of him.” Commercial break He wanted respect...he wanted to make a name for himself. He's dressed in a black suit and wearing sunglasses. Green and blue lights flash throughout the arena as he stands on the stage holding an ice cold bottle of water. He takes a swig of the water and raises his head, spitting it into the air as it rains down around him. He walks down the ramp, keeping his eyes on the ring, and the crowd continues to cheer. Fans extend their hands for high fives and many of them get one. He walks around to the right side of the ring and takes another swig of water. He throws the water bottle into the crowd and ascends to the ring apron. Once again, he spits the water into the air and it rains down around him. He steps into the ring and the crowd cheers as he climbs to the top turnbuckle and flexes his muscles. "This man shocked the world last week when he won a Battle Royal to become the General Manager of Friday Night Smackdown for the first time in his career. Many people are wondering what Triple H will be like as a General Manager, and why he even decided to compete in the Battle Royal in the first place." "I'm not sure why The Game participated in that Battle Royal Match, but I know that he's definitely gonna make things interesting as the General Manager." "Well this is new...this is new for me." His music stops playing. "Yeah this is new, so you guys are gonna have to bear with me a bit if I can't get the hang of this right away." "Triple H" chants begin to fill the arena and The Game smiles. He takes off his sunglasses. "Last week, Vince McMahon asked me if I'd compete in a Ten-Man Battle Royal Match to become the new General Manager of Smackdown. I won the match, but I wasn't so sure if I was up for this whole General Manager thing. What's important to me is being WWE Champion, and being the General Manager isn't exactly helping me with that. Or so I thought. I realized that I could just as easily put myself in a match against Chris Jericho for the WWE Championship!" The crowd pops huge and The Game continues to smile. "I could, but I'm not going to." A couple of boos are heard throughout the arena. "The reason being that, while I do want the Championship, I feel that CM Punk deserves one more Rematch first. Don't you guys think so?" "CM Punk" chants begin to fill the arena and most of the crowd stands on their feet. "So right here tonight, we're gonna see CM Punk take on Chris Jericho for the WWE Championship!" He pauses. "It gets better, though. That match isn't gonna be just a normal match. No way. It's gonna be a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match!" This statement gets a huge pop from the crowd. "What?! You gotta be kidding me! We're gonna see an Extreme Rules Rematch! Jericho versus Punk in a TLC Match tonight!" "I don't believe it, J.R.! That ain't fair to Jericho!" "I'd like to mention that this is the first time ever that a TLC Match will take place on Friday Night Smackdown, and the second time ever that a TLC Match will take place on free television. Nonetheless, I hope it's a match that you all enjoy and I look forward to seeing it myself. Because quite simply, after this match takes place, I'm going to announce the WWE Championship Match for The Bash!" "What an announcement from the new General Manager of Smackdown! I never thought I'd see the day that Triple H ran Friday Nights, but it's here and so far it looks to be a good one! I can't wait to see that TLC Match!" "Oh, one more thing." The Game stops at the top of the ramp. "I forgot to mention that should anyone interfere in the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match between Chris Jericho and CM Punk tonight, they will be suspended indefinitely. That includes Dolph Ziggler." He drops the microphone and walks to the back as the crowd continues to cheer. Commercial break "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to Friday Night Smackdown! We've had a huge night so far, and it's only gonna get better! We're going to see a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match right here tonight between Chris Jericho and CM Punk, and it's going to be for the WWE Championship!" "I still don't believe this, J.R.! Not only does Chris Jericho have to defend the WWE Championship in a TLC Match for the second time in six days, he has to face CM Punk, a man who already had his Rematch! How is this fair?" "How is it fair that Dolph Ziggler cost CM Punk his match against Chris Jericho at Extreme Rules? Tonight, there is no interference, and this rivalry is going to end one way or another." "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, the WWE Champion, Chris Jericho!" Boos fill the arena as Chris Jericho appears on the TitanTron next to Todd Grisham. He's dressed in his normal ring attire, and he doesn't look happy. "Chris, you just learned moments ago that you had to defend the WWE Championship against CM Punk in a TLC Match right here tonight. Your thoughts?" "My thoughts? My thoughts? What exactly am I supposed to think here, Todd? Am I supposed to think that it's ridiculous that after I just defeated CM Punk in a TLC Match at Extreme Rules five nights ago I have to defeat him again here tonight in the same match?" Jericho stares at Grisham. "Am I supposed to be excited that I get to compete in such a high-risk match? Let me tell you how I feel, Todd. I think Triple H is a power corrupt maniac that has no idea how to run things properly. CM Punk doesn't deserve, nor does he need a Rematch." The crowd boos. "I am the best in the world at what I do, and I proved that this past Sunday at Extreme Rules." "Chris, many people feel that CM Punk had the match won until Dolph Ziggler interfered and attacked him." "I don't care what many people feel. The opinions of these good-for-nothing, low-life, parasitic tapeworms in the audience are of no importance to me whatsoever." Jericho says to major heat. "I am Chris Jericho. I am the face of Smackdown, and I will continue to be the face of Smackdown. I realize that I don't have a choice to compete here tonight, but when I destroy CM Punk tonight, Triple H is going to realize that too much power is never a good thing." ”Chris Jericho is confident going into this match tonight, and one has to believe that he needs to be if he has any hope of winning. If you ask me, CM Punk should be the WWE Champion right now, but thanks to Dolph Ziggler, Jericho still has the Gold.” ”Well no one asked you, J.R. Man, you need to give Chris Jericho a break. The man can’t be expected to compete in two TLC Matches in one week, can he?” ”Normally I’d say no, but in this case, yes. Dolph Ziggler interfered in the WWE Championship Match this past Sunday, and CM Punk deserves a fair rematch. Tonight, he’s going to get that.” “Hey! Triple H!” The Game stops as he’s walking in the back. He turns around and Alex Walker is standing behind him. Alex is dressed in a blue t-shirt and black jeans, and he looks happy. “How’s it goin, man? My name’s Alex Walker.” He extends his hand. “Fine, I guess.” The Game shakes his hand, almost reluctantly. “Can I help you with something?” The look on his face suggests that he’s really not in the mood to be bothered, but he plays along anyway. “Actually, I was wondering if I could help you with something. See, I heard that you were looking for an assistant as you’re not going to have time to be a General Manager and compete every week. I know I’m kinda new, but I think I could be a good assistant.” “You want to be my assistant?” The Game asks, laughing a bit. “Alright kid, I tell you what. I’m gonna give you a chance to prove yourself. You’re gonna compete in a match next week on Smackdown, and if you win, I’ll make you my official assistant.” “Thanks!” Walker walks down the hallway, excited that he has the chance to prove himself. ”That should be interesting, Tazz. Alex Walker has yet to win a match here on Smackdown, but in all fairness, the only superstar he’s faced is Vladimir Kozlov. Nonetheless, if Alex Walker can win next week on Smackdown, he’ll become Triple H’s assistant.” ”This is a big chance for the kid; let’s hope he can win!” ”Ladies and gentlemen, we’re just moments away from a WWE Tag Team Championship Match, but first, let’s take a look at what we’ve got so far for The Bash!” ”Yeah, but before that we’d like to thank Aranda for ”Whyyawannabringmedown”, the Official Theme of The Bash!” ”After a somewhat lucky victory in a WWE Scramble Match this past Monday on Raw, The Miz has earned the opportunity of a lifetime! He’s going to step into the ring with Jeff Hardy at The Bash with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line!” ”I’ve seen The Miz compete in a lot of matches, but never one as big as this! I think Jeff Hardy’s gonna teach The Miz that arrogance isn’t the best way to go into a match, but we’ll see what happens at The Bash!” ”This match looks awesome on paper if you ask me! He plans to add another Championship Belt to his Championship History, and I’m pretty sure he can do that!” ”This match is going to – hopefully – put an end to this rivalry between The United Nations and the superstars that joined together for a greater good! Ted DiBiase takes on Kurt Angle in a Lumberjack Match, and the Lumberjacks will consist of Vladimir Kozlov, The Great Khali, Finlay, Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Randy Orton, and John Bradshaw Layfield!” ”That one’s gonna be great, J.R.! Speaking of Vladimir Kozlov and The Great Khali, they’re going to try to become the WWE Tag Team Champions right here, right now!” Vladimir Kozlov The Ruthless Russian steps into the arena, a look of disgust on his face. The crowd boos heavily as he walks to the ring, taking time to look around the arena. He's wearing a pair of white wrestling tights and black boots, and he looks like he's ready to tear apart another competitor. ”The United Nations formed to prove Intercontinental Dominance, and so far—they’ve done just that. His Tag Team Partner, Vladimir Kozlov, acknowledges him with a nod as he walks to the ring, dressed in black wrestling tights that say “Khali” on the sides. His manager Renjin Singh walks at his side. ”Man, you may not like Khali, but the guy is just massive! He’ll take out almost any opponent that gets in his way!” Cryme Tyme “Brooklyn Brooklyn!” The crowd pops huge as the WWE Tag Team Champions, Shad Gaspard and JTG, a.k.a. Cryme Tyme, enter the arena, smiling. They hold up their Title Belts on the ramp before making their way down the ramp, high-fiving a bunch of fans. ”Listen to that ovation for Cryme Tyme! Both of these guys are great athletes, and I look forward to seeing them compete each and every week, but I think the odds are too big for them to overcome tonight!” ”I agree, J.R.! Somethin tells me we’re gonna have new WWE Tag Team Champions tonight!” Second Match: The United Nations (Vladimir Kozlov & The Great Khali) vs. Cryme Tyme [WWE Tag Team Championships] Match: Shad Gaspard starts the match with Vladamir Kozlov, the two stars lock up in the center of the ring, Shad seems to have a momentary advantage, before the Moscow Mauler's Sambo abilities come into play, and he throws Brooklyn native to the ground with a Belly to Belly Suplex. Kozlov pulls Shad to his feet, hits a series of headbuts to the chest, and powers him back into the corner, and tags Khali. ”The United Nations well represented here by Kozlov and Khali, look at the power!” ”And Kurt Angle would love to see the United Nation add some gold to their group! Think of the momentum that the faction will pick up if these guys beat Cryme Tyme here!” The Punjabi Nightmare enters the ring and hits a hard right hand to the face of Gaspard, before grabbing him by the head and throwing him into the center of the ring, Shad staggers to his feet, and delivers a right hand to Khali, and another, and another, Gaspard comes off the ropes and hits a clothesline, and another, and another, Khali is still standing, Gaspard finally boots Khali in the chest and takes him down. JTG calls for the tag, gets it. ”I gotta question JTG here, I really don't know, if at his size, I'd be confident stepping into the ring with the Punjabi Nightmare, especially with a parter like Shad doing so well and taking the fight to that monster Khali!” ”JTG is a fighter, Tazz, he's gonna try his luck here either way, and who knows, he might pull off an upset here!” The Great Khali gets to his feet, and takes a missile dropkick, he's down again, JTG with the cover. 1...2 Khali launches JTG off his chest. Khali stands, and man-handles JTG into the corner, before tagging the Moscow Mauler into the match, Kozlov whips JTG into the ropes, JTG counters, Sun-Set Flip! 1...2 No! Kozov kicks out JTG Dropkicks Kozlov in the face before tagging in Big Shad. Shad comes in and hits a right on Kozlov as the Ruthless Russian stands, another right, Kozlov hits one himself, the two start to furiously trade blows in the center of the ring, Shad hits a big shot, staggering Kozlov, before coming off the ropes, Kozlov hits a big time Powerslam! Cover 1...2..No! The UN Representatives fall a split second short of tag title gold! Kozlov starts to argue with the Referee, as Shad gets to his feet, and applies a sleeper. ”This is a little unlike Shad, but still, it works, and that's all that really matters, Kozlov might be in big trouble right here!” ”This is sound, JR, Kozlov's not used to this situation, and look, Shad's got the advantage now in a big way!” Kozlov slowly starts to fade, but hits a hard elbow, and another, and another, Shad breaks the hold and clutches his ribs in pain, Kozlov runs to the ropes, looking for a Battering Ram but JTG knees him in the back, Khali sees this and looks outraged, he attempts to enter the ring but the Referee cuts him off, Shad seizes the moment, Thugnificence! Can the champions pull off a huge upset?! Cover! 1...2...3 YES! The champions retain! Winners [and still the WWE Tag Team Champions]: Cryme Tyme ”My God! I don’t believe it! Cryme Tyme managed to defeat The United Nations tonight!” ”What an upset, J.R.! You can bet that Cryme Tyme hasn’t seen the last of The United Nations!” JTG and Shad roll out of the ring quickly, not wanting to deal with Kozlov and Khali. They make their way to the back, high-fiving some fans as they walk up the ramp. Commercial break There are some people who are just destined for greatness. Santino looks annoyed, and he stands in front of Triple H as The Game sits on a leather couch, apparently texting someone on his cell phone. “Uhm, excuse a me a moment, but I have something to say.” The Game looks up. “Oh, Santino.” He pretends to look embarrassed. “Man, I didn’t even notice you were here. My bad. So uh, what do you want?” The crowd laughs. “About my a match with Brock Lesnar that you made for a tonight.” The Game rolls his eyes; he knows that Santino’s going to try to get out of the match. “Yes; what about it?” “I...I’d rather not compete tonight, if that’s a okay with you. I think I’ve got a cold.” The crowd boos. The Game laughs; Santino’s obviously trying to get out of the match, and he’s not going to fall for it. “Well, my advice to you is to win the match as quickly as possible.” The crowd cheers. “Just so you know, I’ve banned all members of The United Nations from interfering in your match; that should help you focus.” Santino walks out of the office angrily and The Game smiles. He looks back at his phone and continues texting. ”Well, J.R., I guess The Game’s doing Santino a big favor here!” Tazz says, jokingly. He and J.R. laugh. ”Let’s see how that works out for Santino! Brock Lesnar takes on Santino Marella in a No Disqualification Match! Next!” Brock Lesnar vs. Santino Marella [Hardcore Match] [Up Next] Commercial break Brock Lesnar Brock Lesnar enters the arena to a standing ovation, looking confident and ready to go. He makes his way to the ring dressed in black wrestling tights with a custom design on the back, and black wrestling boots. Fans cheer as he high-fives them before entering the ring. ”We saw an upset a little while ago when Cryme Tyme defeated Vladimir Kozlov and The Great Khali, but somehow I don’t think we’re going to see an upset here, Tazz.” ”I think Santino Marella was wise to try and get out of this match, but unfortunately for him, Triple H wasn’t going to have it. I guess best of luck to Santino here.” Santino Marella The crowd begins to boos as Santino’s music hits, and the boos continue as he enters the arena. He walks to the ring, trying to convince himself that he can defeat Brock Lesnar, while knowing full-well that it isn’t going to happen. ”Let me ask you somethin, J.R.; you seem to be good at analyzing things like this. If you’re Santino, what’s going through your mind right now?” ”Well you’re probably wondering why I thought it was a good idea to move over to the Smackdown Brand in the first place. If you remember, Santino Marella requested that he be sent over to Smackdown because he wanted to earn respect, but I haven’t seen him do that yet.” Third Match: Brock Lesnar vs. Santino Marella [No Disqualification] Match: A massive “Lesnar” chant begins to fill the arena as the Former World Champion smiles, taking in the excitement. He’s not worried about the match, nor should he be. Santino, on the other hand, stands across the ring, looking somewhat nervous. Lesnar moves toward him, and he drops to his knees, begging for mercy. The crowd boos as Santino does so, but they begin to cheer when Lesnar grabs his head and pulls him to his feet. He pats him on the shoulder before sending him to the mat with a powerful Clothesline. He smiles once again before rolling out of the ring and lifting the ring apron. ”What’s Lesnar lookin for here?” ”We all know Brock Lesnar doesn’t need a weapon to win this match, but better safe then sorry I guess.” J.R. laughs. He pulls out a trash can and throws it into the ring. Just as he’s about roll into the ring, Santino hits him with a Baseball Slide to the face, taking him to the floor on the outside. The crowd boos as Santino flexes his muscles. He stops and realizes that he needs to capitalize on the opportunity at hand. He walks over to the announce table and grabs a steel chair. The crowd boos as he folds it up and holds it above his head. Santino moves over to Lesnar, who begins to get to his feet. CHAIR TO THE BACK! The crowd cheers as the shot doesn’t phase Lesnar at all. Santino looks nervous as Lesnar turns around, now angry. He tries a second chair shot, but Lesnar blocks it and grabs the chair from his hand. Lesnar hits a chair shot TO THE SKULL! ”Good God what impact!” ”Thanks for comin, Santino!” Looking to put an end to what could barely be called a match, Lesnar throws Santino in the ring with ease. He lifts the ring apron again and – this time – pulls out a table. A “We Want Tables!” chant begins to fill the arena as Lesnar slides the table into the ring before sliding in himself. Santino lays lifeless in the center of the ring, having been probably knocked out from the chair shot. Lesnar sets the table up and moves it to the center of the ring. Seconds later, he grabs Santino and pulls him to his feet. Lifts him up...F-5 THROUGH THE TABLE! The crowd counts along with the Referee as Lesnar hooks the leg! “1! 2! 3!” Winner: Brock Lesnar ”If that doesn’t send a message to The United Nations, then I don’t know what will. Brock Lesnar completely annihilated Santino Marella, and you can rest assured that The United Nations is next!” ”I’m speechless, J.R. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such an amazing display of power in my entire life.” ”Last week he defeated Finlay, this week he defeated Santino Marella! Brock Lesnar is on one h*ll of a role!” “Who the h*ll do you think you are?” The crowd boos as Chris Jericho appears on the TitanTron. He’s standing in front Triple H’s office, and The Game doesn’t look happy to see him. “I am the WWE Champion. I’m better than you, and I’m sure as h*ll better than CM Punk.” Boos fill the arena. “You have no right to put...” “I have every d*mn right to put you in whatever the h*ll I wanna put you in. I could put you in a dress and make you go out to that ring and defend the d*mn Championship if I wanted to.” Excitement fills the arena. “Now you’re gonna tuck your tail between your legs, turn around, and get the h*ll out of my office because Chris—you have a Title Match, and it’s next.” OH! Jericho slaps The Game in the face and it seems to infuriate him. Before Triple H has a chance to respond, Jericho walks out of the office and the fans in the arena boo like crazy. ”What is Chris Jericho thinking? He just slapped the General Manager in the face. Not to mention, that General Manager is Triple H!” ”Chris Jericho may have just made things even worse for himself, but he’s right. I mean, he doesn’t deserve to have to defend the WWE Championship here tonight.” ”Well, coming up next, Chris Jericho puts the WWE Championship on the line in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match with CM Punk! Who will be the WWE Champion when the show ends? We’ll find out—next!” Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk [TLC Match] [WWE Championship][Up Next] Commercial break CM Punk The crowd pops huge as "This Fire Burns" plays throughout the arena. The Straightedge Superstar bursts into arena, smiling. He stands on the ramp and looks around at the crowd. He makes his way toward the ring, no longer the WWE Champion. “The following is a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match and it is for the WWE Championship! Making his way to the ring from Chicago, Illinois, he is the Former WWE Champion, CM Punk!” ”CM Punk has defied the odds time and time again, and tonight is possibly his last chance to do so. CM Punk lost the WWE Championship to Chris Jericho at Judgment Day, and he’s been trying to regain it since then! Tonight, he looks to defeat Jericho in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match! The second time ever that a TLC Match has been on free television!” ”This night is historic, J.R.! Still, I hope Chris Jericho wins tonight because it’s just not fair that he has to defend the Title.” Chris Jericho The crowd boos as Chris Jericho walks out onto the stage, wearing a new pair trunks, black with binary-code in bold white. Jericho walks down the ramp, the WWE Championship around his waist, receiving many boos from the crowd. He climbs the stairs and moves into the ring as his music fades. “And his opponent, from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, he is the WWE Champion, Chris Jericho!” ”This man is not a very likeable person, but he’s absolutely correct when he says he’s the best in the world at what he does. Chris Jericho is one of the best athletes I’ve ever seen, and while he does talk a lot of smack, he can back it up in the ring.” ”Chris Jericho is an example that other superstars should take notice of. He’s successful because he puts himself first, and there aren’t many other superstars that do that.” [IMG] Main Event Match: CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho [TLC Match] [WWE Championship] Match: Jericho stands on one side of the ring while Punk stands across from him on the other. It’s noticeably obvious that both superstars are still in immense pain from their Match just five days ago at Extreme Rules, but both of them are going to compete tonight because they both believe that they deserve to be WWE Champion. “CM Punk” chants begin to fill the arena as the crowd is ready for another awesome match between these two great superstars. The two begin moving closer to each other. Jericho grabs Punk, who kicks Jericho on the side of the leg. Jericho pulls back and rubs his leg. Jericho moves closer, but Punk lands another kick, sending Jericho back. Jericho moves forward once again, but this time, Jericho catches Punks leg, and flips him down on the mat! Jericho grabs Punks other leg, and turns Punk to his stomach – LOCKING IN THE WALLS OF JERICHO! Jericho wrenches away as Punk squirms on the ground. In this match, a submission WILL NOT DO! Jericho continues to put pressure on Punk for several moments, before letting his legs go. Jericho smiles as Punk crawls to the ropes, slowly lifting himself. Jericho runs, and clotheslines Punk over the top! But wait, Punk hangs on to the rope, setting his feet on the apron! Jericho notices; runs to the ropes beside Punk, jumps, and connects with a triangle dropkick! Punk falls to the mat outside. ”That’s the veteran ring sense of Chris Jericho coming into play right there. Punk was wise to hold on, and it was skillful tactic, but Chris Jericho was one step ahead there.” ”This could be it, J.R.! Punk may be out!” Jericho rolls out of the ring, and moves over to the announcers table, grabbing a steel chair. Jericho walks back over to Punk, who leans on the barricade. Jericho lifts the chair, and slams it down! But Punk leaps to the side. Jericho drops the chair, in pain from the chair’s impact on the barricade. Jericho turns as Punk hits a kick on the side of his leg. Two! Three! Four! Jericho falls to the barricade, Punk climbs the steel steps, taunting the crowd, but wait, he climbs the turnbuckle, and he leaps on the ropes, off, LANDING ON JERICHO, BOTH OVER THE BARRICADE! The crowd pops. Punk fumbles and falls back over the barricade, and stumbles to the ladder. But Jericho climbs back over. He runs and hits a strong forearm to Punk’s head! Jericho grabs the chair he dropped, and plants three strikes with it on Punk’s back. ”What impact from those chair shots! Punk’s back is probably hurt bad enough from the match at Extreme Rules, and I’m pretty sure those chair shots just made it worse!” ”Man, Jericho is just takin it to CM Punk right now! What a match!” Jericho drops the chair, and grabs the ladder. He places it inside the ring. Jericho sets it up, and climbs. Jericho reaches the top, but before he could grab the title, Punk slid into the ring with the chair and landed a hard shot to Jericho’s legs, sending him to the mat! Punk also falls to the mat. Both men are down! Punk slowly gets up, as does Jericho. They begin trading punches. The crowd cheer’s along! “BOO! YA! BOO! YA! BOO! BOO! BOO! YA! YA! BOO! YA!” Punk then hits a strong kick to Jericho’s leg. Jericho falls to one-knee, as Punk hits a snap-kick to Jericho’s chest, putting him on his back. Punk continues to drop his leg twice on Jericho’s face. Punk lifts Jericho and swings behind him, locking in the sleeperhold. Jericho yells in pain, but Punk keeps wrenching. Punk rushes Jericho forward and into the turnbuckle. ”Now remember there are no Submissions in this matchup. The only way to win is by climbing the ladder and grabbing the WWE Championship that’s hanging above it. However, a Sleeper Hold is a great way to wear your opponent out, and it seems like the move took a toll on Jericho.” ”We saw the same thing earlier in the match when Chris Jericho applied the Walls of Jericho. Both of these guys really know how to put on a great match!” Punk turns Jericho around, and begins striking hard kicks at Jericho. Punk moves back, runs, and hits a clothesline! Punk wraps his arm around Jericho’s head and runs out with him. Punk jumps, but Jericho pushes Punk off of him, causing Punk to hit the mat. Punk rises, holding his back. He turns, just as Jericho got the chair. Jericho goes to hit Punk, but Punk hits a dropkick on the chair, crushing Jericho’s chest! Jericho falls back into the turnbuckle! ”My God! Jericho may be out here! That Dropkick just practically knocked all the wind out of Jericho’s chest with that steel chair!” Punk decides to try his luck again. Punk connects with a clothesline, followed by a bulldog! Punk plants Jericho’s face into the mat. Punk slides out of the ring, and grabs a table from under the ring. He slides the table into the ring. Punk sets the table up, followed by the ladder. Punk lifts Jericho, and hits a hard hand into Jericho’s face. Punk puts Jericho on the table. Punk climbs the ladder and taunts the crowd. But before Punk can leap into battle, Jericho slides off the table. Punk jumps down, and grabs Jericho. Jericho swipes Punks arms off of him, and kicks Punk in the gut. Jericho hits Punk’s back with a fist, putting him down on one-knee. Jericho runs to the ropes behind him, and hits a one-handed facebuster. Jericho slowly gets up, to hit a dropkick to Punk’s head. Jericho once again gets up, and grabs Punk by the hair. Jericho smashes Punk’s face into the table, and pushes him on it. Jericho climbs the ladder, and taunts the crowd. Jericho turns, leaps backwards, and CONNECTS WITH A LIONSAULT! Putting Punk through the table! Both men are on the ground! ”You gotta be kidding me! I’ve never seen anything like that in my life!” “Holy sh*t!” chants begin to fill the arena as the entire crowd is now standing. Punk and Jericho lay lifeless in the center of the ring. The first superstar to get to his feet is likely to win this thing. After several long moments, Jericho grabs the ropes, and lifts himself. He positions the ladder in the center of the ring, and climbs it slowly. Once Jericho reaches the top, Punk stands, Jericho grabs the title and begins pulling. Punk climbs the other side just in time. The two begin trading punches at the top! “BOO! YA! YA! BOO! BOO! YA! BOO! YA! BOO! BOO! YA! YA!” Punk gets the advantage. He swings his leg around and hits Jericho’s leg. Jericho grabs the ladder, yelling in pain. ”These guys are up there in No Man’s Land right now! This could be very dangerous!” ”Man if one of these guys falls, that’s it; the match is as good as over.” Punk pushes Jericho off the ladder, who lands on his back, but slowly gets up. Punk climbs to the very top step. Jericho turns, Punk leaps from the top! JERICHO CATCHES PUNK, CODEBREAKER! Jericho caught Punk’s head, and hit the Codebreaker. ”Good Lord! I don’t believe it! Jericho...Jericho just hit a that Codebreaker in mid-air after Punk jumped off the ladder! What a match! What a match!” Could this be it?! Jericho slowly rises with the help of the ring-rope. Jericho grabs the fallen ladder, and sets it back up. Jericho slowly climbs the ladder – slower than before – until he stops at the top to rest. He holds himself at the top, resting. Punk begins to stir, but it looks like it’s over. Jericho slowly reaches to the title, but missing it a couple of times. Finally, Punk is up, holding the top-rope. Jericho grabs the title, pulling. But before it broke, Punk rushed forwards and pushed the ladder over. Jericho leaped off at Punk! PUNK CATCHES JERICHO! This time, Punk caught Jericho! Punk falls to one-knee, Jericho on his shoulders. Punk lifts him, shouting in desperation! The crowd cheers Punk on, hoping this is the end! Punk throws him, but instead of hitting the Go-2-Sleep, Jericho pushed off the side. Jericho ran and threw himself at Punk, sending both men through the rope and to the outside! “This is awesome!” chants begin to fill the arena as the crowd is even more excited than they were minutes ago. Both superstars look worn out, but neither one of them is going to give up. The match will continue until there is a winner. Jericho is the first one up. He grabs Punk and tosses him into the steel steps! Punk’s shoulder cracks into the steps! The crowd boo’s as Punk falls. Jericho follows him, and stomps his head into the mat. Jericho lifts the stairs, and plants them into Punk’s back, before dropping them and falling back. Both men are extremely weak after this very physical contest. Jericho moves to the announcers table, and rips off the cover. Jericho grabs Punk and smashes him into it. Punk crawls onto the announcers table. Jericho grabs another chair and places it on Punk. Jericho continues to place the steps on Punk. Jericho slides into the ring, and places it as far to the right-side as possible without leaving the ring. Jericho climbs the ladder. Is the risk worth the reward?! ”What...what in the world is Jericho thinking here? Don’t tell me he’s gonna—!” Jericho leaps into a splash – LANDING ON THE STEPS! Crushing Punk underneath the steps & chair. The table collapses and crashes to the ground. Jericho slides off the steps in pain. Jericho slowly crawls to the ring. Taking a couple minutes to get into the ring. Punk hasn’t responded yet! Is this match over?! Jericho crawls in the ring, slowly getting up. He takes another couple of minutes to get up, and grab the ladder, setting it up in the center. ”These two are putting their bodies on the line because this Championship means so much to both of them! Talk about an amazing match; you’ve got one right here!” ”This match is as good as over. I’ve never seen a move like the one we just saw, and I’m pretty sure it was enough to take Punk out.” Outside, Punk begins to stir. But it looks like it’s too late. Jericho climbs the ladder extremely slow. Punk falls to the apron, but forces himself in. Jericho grabs the title and begins pulling. Punk jumps up behind Jericho and begins hammer his back. Punk tosses Jericho off the ladder. He grabs the title himself and begins pulling. Jericho gets up quickly, adrenaline rushing, and pushes the ladder over. But Punk catches the ropes with his leg and tosses the ladder back up. Jericho, who was resting in the corner, runs and pushes the ladder over again. Punk catches the ropes once again! Punk pushes the ladder back up, but Jericho pulls the ladder down the other way! Punk FLIES OFF THE LADDER, LANDING THROUGH ANOTHER ANNOUNCERS TABLE! Jericho sets the ladder up and climbs it, the crowd boo’s, it’s over. Punk lies motionless as Jericho grabs the belt and rips it from its hook, winning the match. DING, DING! Winner [and still the WWE Champion]: Chris Jericho ”That was probably the greatest match I’ve ever witnessed. Those two men put everything on the line, and there’s no doubt in my mind that they’d do it again.” ”I told you, J.R., Chris Jericho won the match even though he shouldn’tve had to compete. I’ll remember this match for a long, long time.” Triple H The crowd goes absolutely nuts, still full of energy from the amazing match they just witnessed – as The Game enters the arena holding a microphone. Jericho turns his attention to the TitanTron, while Punk lay on the outside, barely conscious. ”And here we go! It’s time to find out who’s going to face Chris Jericho at The Bash!” ”I personally think that Chris Jericho shouldn’t have to defend the Title at The Bash. After a match like that, he deserves a break.” “Chris, I have to say, although I don’t like you at all, that was one h*ll of a match. Guys, can we get a round of applause for Chris Jericho and CM Punk?!” The crowd cheers wildly as The Game applauds the match. He’s sincere, but it doesn’t mean he likes Jericho, it just means that he respects his in-ring ability. “That being said, I think after a match like that you shouldn’t have to defend the WWE Championship at The Bash.” The crowd boos. “Or should I say, that’s what I thought earlier tonight. I was thinking that if you guys put on a great show, I’d give you both a break, and neither of you would have to compete at The Bash. Now as for CM Punk, that stands. Punk isn’t going to be in action at The Bash.” The crowd boos because they’re disappointed that Punk won’t be competing, but they understand why. “You, however, will be.” Huge pop from the crowd! Jericho looks at The Game with disgust, anger, and disbelief. After going through h*ll twice in one week, he deserves a break, and Triple H isn’t going to let that happen. “You see, when you slapped me in the face earlier tonight, rather than get angry, I figured I’d just get even.” The crowd pops again. “So Chris, at The Bash, you’re gonna defend the WWE Title. And you’re gonna defend it against a man that you’re quite familiar with!” Gregory Helms ”No way! Can it be?!” The crowd goes wild as Gregory Helms emerges on the stage, dressed in street clothes. Jericho rolls his eyes and Helms keeps his eyes locked on his opponent in just two weeks at The Bash. ”You’ve gotta be kiddin me! This is ridiculous!” ”Gregory Helms is back! And he’s going to face Chris Jericho for the WWE Championship at The Bash! Talk about the opportunity of a lifetime! What a night we’ve had! Ladies and gentlemen thanks for watching, and we’ll see you next week right here on MyNetworkTV!”
