Do these people do those things because of the feeling it gives them? The non-stop excitement, the thrill of the match? Tonight, you will witness matches like unlike any you've seen before. Brigbt blue, almost sky blue, fireworks explode across the stage horizontally, followed by fireworks from the top of the TitanTron that are a darker blue. The live crowd of nineteen thousand, two-hundred and thirty-eight people stand on their feet and cheer as they're less than an hour away from an event that promises to be extremely entertaining.

[color=purple]"Ladies and gentlemen welcome to San Diego, California! We are live and less than an hour away from Extreme Rules! This is the Extreme Rules Preshow, and I'm Good Ol' J.R. Jim Ross alongside ECW's Matt Striker and Raw's Michael Cole!"[/color]

[color=brown]"I've been waiting all week to see pretty much all of the matches scheduled for tonight, and there's no doubt in my mind that Extreme Rules is gonna live up to the hype!"[/color]

[color=red]"Certainly great matches from Raw, ECW, and Smackdown for this event!"[/color]

[color=brown]"Chris Jericho definitely held his own on ECW, but after losing the ECW Championship to The Undertaker, his career seemed to take a turn for the better."[/color]

[color=red]"Some people may not be a fan of Jericho's attitude, but it works for him. CM Punk has seen great success as well, and I think both of these guys - regardless of the outcome - are gonna put on one h*ll of a show!"[/color]

Kane is the former World Heavyweight Champion, losing the Title to Jeff Hardy at Judgment Day! Tonight, he gets his Rematch, and there will be no interference inside a Steel Cage!"[/color]

[color=brown]"Many have argued that Edge is the reason Kane lost his World Championship, and it's a very good arguement. The question is, will Jeff Hardy be able to retain the Title he's waited his entire life to obtain, or will his Championship Reign prove to be nothing more than a lucky couple of weeks?"[/color]

[color=purple]"Hardy has fought in Cage Match after Cage Match, and while he does sometimes win, he takes risks that end up costing him the Match. Will we see that tonight, or will Jeff Hardy find a way to prevail?"[/color]

Christian's sidelining injury ended up being a pathway for Shelton Benjamin to further his career. Speaking of careers, if Tommy Dreamer loses tonight, he vows to retire, meaning that his ECW Career will be over."[/color]

[color=purple]"It would be disappointing to see Tommy Dreamer leave the WWE, but he's got a big challenge ahead of him in Shelton Benjamin."[/color]

[color=red]"Shelton Benjamin has been referred to as the best pure athlete in WWE History, and he continues to live up to that. Can Dreamer defeat Shelton Benjamin in a match where the odds are clearly in the ECW Original's favor? We'll find out tonight!"[/color]

[color=red]"Shawn Michaels and Edge have a hatred for each other, and I have a feeling that this match will end up being the most physical match on the card! The Rated-R Superstar lost his Intercontinental Championship thanks to Shawn Michaels, and you know he's going to want a measure of revenge!"[/color]

[color=brown]"Shawn Michaels and Edge know each other extremely well, and if either guy wants to win this match, it's going to take a lot of determination."[/color]

[color=purple]"No doubt both men will give it everything they've got, but only one of them will be victorious. In a Last Man Standing Match of this caliber, you never know what's going to happen!"[/color]

Striker Boyd and MVP have been feuding for months, and tonight that comes to an end! The WWE United States Championship means so much to both Striker Boyd and MVP, and they'll do whatever it takes to win!"[/color]

[color=purple]"The first-ever Barbed Wire Match is going to hurt both men, and it's going to hurt them badly. The question is, who will it hurt less? Whoever that man is will likely walk out of Extreme Rules with the United StateS Championship."[/color]

[color=red]"MVP said this past Monday on Raw that he was going to retain the Belt, and Striker said the same. These men want to settle things once and for all, and - like you said J.R. - someone's going to get hurt!"[/color]

[color=purple]"And finally, this match is extremely personal! Kurt Angle formed a group known as the United Nations. A group that he claims will be made up of the greatest athletes from many countries. They have proved dominant so far, but tonight they'll have their biggest challenge yet."[/color]

[color=brown]"John Cena, the man who was run over by Kurt Angle, laid Angle out this past Friday on Smackdown, and you've gotta wonder what role - if any - Cena will play in this match tonight."[/color]

[color=red]"Angle's team is composed of great athletes, but their opponents are no pushovers either! Things are gonna get extreme tonight!"[/color]

[color=purple]"Ladies and gentlemen we're just fifteen minutes away from Extreme Rules! Before that, we've got a special Extreme Rules Pre-Show Match!"[/color]

The show begins as "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry enters the arena. As he walks to the ring, he receives some boos, but nothing too noticeable. WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas walks by his side, dressed in a black suit. Henry climbs the ring steps and walks through the second rope to get into the ring. He taunts in the middle of the ring.

[color=purple]"I've seen Mark Henry compete year after year, and it seems to me that he continues to dominate no matter what show he happens to be competing on."[/color]

[color=brown]"Without a doubt Mark Henry is the most dominant force on ECW, and quite possibly in all of the WWE."[/color]

[color=red]"I happened to catch Henry's return match this past Tuesday on ECW, and the way he manhandled Ricky Ortiz was nothing short of impressive."[/color]

Evan "Air" Bourne enters the arena to a massive ovation. He walks down the ramp, smiling brightly. As he does so, he high-fives tons of excited fans sitting in the crowd. The look on his face suggests that he's confident, he plans to give the crowd yet another exciting performance.

[color=brown]"Mark Henry may be the most dominant, but you gotta admit that there's no superstar more electrifying and exciting than Evan "Air" Bourne! Part of the reason I love calling ECW is because of superstars like Bourne that bring so much to the table!"[/color]

[color=purple]"It's not often you stumble upon a superstar with the abilities that Evan Bourne has. His high-flying moves are unlike anything I've ever seen before, and I think this kid's a future World Champion."[/color]

[color=red]"Certainly Evan Bourne is a force to be reckoned with, but can Bourne defeat Henry? I mean just a week ago on Monday Night Raw Evan Bourne and Ren were defeated by The Hart Dynasty, losing the ECW Tag Team Championships in the process. Is Bourne ready to compete against an opponent where the odds are unsurmountably against him?"[/color]

Pre-Show Match: "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry (w/WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas) vs. Evan Bourne

Match: The bell rings and the crowd begins to get excited, knowing that this is just the first of many extreme matches they're going to see. "Let's Go Bourne!" chants fill the arena as the former ECW Tag Team Champion tries to prepare himself for this big challenge. Henry takes the initiative and goes for a Forearm Smash, but "Air" Bourne ducks it and hits Henry with some Right Hands that seem to have no effect. He rebounds off the ropes and goes for a Running Dropkick, but Henry pushes him down to the mat, causing him to land back-first on the canvas. The crowd boos as Henry picks Bourne up and runs him into the corner. He hits a kick to the chest and Bourne finds himself now sitting in the corner. Henry pulls Bourne away from the corner horizontally before climbing to the second turnbuckle. He jumps off backwards, looking to land on Bourne with a Diving Splash, but Bourne saves himself by rolling out of the way to a big pop.

[color=brown]"That was a close call! Mark Henry's power is just incredible, and for someone like Evan Bourne, four-hundred and fifty pounds of man landing on your chest all at once is not something you can recover from."[/color]

[color=purple]"I've noticed that Henry often misses that manuever, and I'm guessing the reasoning is that his opponents know it's over if he hits it."[/color]

Henry sits up and Bourne Dropkicks him in the face. Bourne struggles to hook the leg, but manages to do so. "1! 2! Three--no!" Henry kicks out! Bourne goes for a Standing Moonsault, but this time it's The World's Strongest Man that rolls out of the way. Bourne tries to keep the upper hand with a Clothesline, but he gets floored by Henry who's Double-Arm Clothesline proves to be superior. Boos fill the arena as The World's Strongest Man stands over Bourne and raises his arms in the air. He rebounds off the ropes and goes for a Big Splash, but Bourne dodges it. He kicks Henry in the side of the head and goes to the top rope. Henry gets to his feet and Bourne takes him down with a [b]DIVING KNEE TAKEDOWN[/b]! Hooks the leg! "1! 2!" Henry kicks out!

[color=red]"If I could describe Evan Bourne in one word, it would probably be "awesome". Having Evan Bourne compete here tonight is a great way to get the crowd warmed up for the show!"[/color]

Henry goes for a Military Press Slam, but Bourne struggles out of it. He kicks Henry in the back of the leg and The World's Strongest Man falls to one knee. Bourne connects with a Crescent Kick and takes the big man off his feet! Cover! "1! 2!" Henry kicks out and throws Bourne half-way across the ring. The crowd boos. Bourne runs toward Henry...[b]CLOTHESLINE![/b] Henry blasts Bourne with a Clothesline out of nowhere and the young superstar flips over backwards hitting the mat with a huge impact. Henry picks up a lifeless Bourne and drops him with The World's Strongest Slam. Cover..."1! 2! 3!"

Winner: Mark Henry

[color=brown]"Wow. That's all she wrote. Mark Henry looking destructive as ever tonight with a big win over Evan Bourne."[/color]

[color=purple]"Ladies and gentlemen, this man Mark Henry is back, and he's definitely got his sights set on once again becoming the ECW Champion."[/color]

[color=red]"We're just three minutes away from Extreme Rules! Thanks for watching, and we'll see you there!"[/color][/spoiler]

I apologize for posting Extreme Rules in a shortened version, but I don't have the inspiration to write it and I'd like to get started with Raw. I'm tired of most of the rivalries I have going, so I want to get a good start. Check your Inbox for a better explanation.

 

 

[spoiler=Extreme Rules - June 7, 2009]

 

~Match 1: Striker "Yank" Boyd defeated Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP) in a Barbed Wire Match. He won the match after wrapping his arm in Barbed Wire and hitting the Strikeout on MVP.

 

~Match 2: Shelton Benjamin defeated Tommy Dreamer in an Extreme Rules Match. He won the match after ECW Superstar Brownlee came out and appeared to help Dreamer, but turned on him instead hitting him with the ECW Championship Belt.

 

~Match 3: Jeff Hardy defeated Kane in a Steel Cage Match. He won the match after Kane threw him through the side of the Steel Cage, causing him to hit the floor.

 

~Match 4: Kurt Angle, Vladimir Kozlov, & The Great Khali defeated Ted DiBiase, Randy Orton, & John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL) in a Six-Man Tag Team Match. They won the match when Kurt Angle made Randy Orton Submit to an Ankle Lock.

 

~Match 5: Chris Jericho defeated CM Punk in a TLC Match. He won the match when Dolph Ziggler interfered and pulled Punk off the ladder, causing his head to bounce off one of the rungs and knocking him out in the process.

 

~Match 6: Shawn Michaels defeated Edge in a Last Man Standing Match. He won the match after hitting a Sweet Chin Music on Edge, knocking him off the steel ramp and crashing through the table/pyrotechinic area below.
