Also it seems nobody noticed that I infact wrote the Carlito vs Manu match a while back and then instead of writing the ECW Championship match I wrote the Kane vs The Miz match. First, we've got The Dynamo Tyson Kidd taking on Chris West in what - if last week's match is anything to go by - should be a great one." Tyson Kidd (w/David Hart Smith) vs. Chris West (w/Zack Ryder) [Tonight] "And then we've got an ECW Championship Match! The All-American American Jack Swagger narrowly escaped Judgment Day with the ECW Championship, and tonight he has to put it on the line once more against Captain Charisma, Christian!" "Tommy Dreamer's career may be very close to ending. The Innovator of Violence has made it clear that if he cannot win the ECW Championship at Extreme Rules, he will retire and no longer wrestle for ECW." "According to Theodore Long, if Tommy Dreamer can win his match here tonight, he will get an ECW Championship Match at Extreme Rules. Many people are wondering who his opponent will be, and I guess we're going to find that out a little bit later tonight." Tommy Dreamer vs. ??? [Tonight] "Well, Josh Matthews is standing by with quite possibly one of the most unique superstars to ever join the Land of Extreme, Brownlee." "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest this time, Brownlee!" The crowd begins to cheer as the ECW Superstar that pinned the ECW Champion Jack Swagger in his Debut Match appears on the TitanTron, smiling brightly. "Brownlee you've quickly become one of the most talked about superstars here in ECW thanks to your big victory over Jack Swagger two weeks ago, so I'd like to ask you, what are your thoughts on last night's ECW Championship Match?" "Josh, here's how it is. I am a very unique individual, and I pride myself on that." The crowd pops. "But that doesn't mean I sit at home drinking tea and crumpets while watching American Idol. I mean, anyone that saw me Debut months ago wouldn't have taken me seriously, but I'm confident that after my match with Jack Swagger two weeks ago people realize that I have what it takes to compete in that ring. As for the match, Jack Swagger should not be the ECW Champion right now, and even Swagger knows that. If it wasn't for Devon Immortal, the current ECW Champion would be The Undertaker." "Undertaker" chants fill the arena as Brownlee looks toward the camera, giving the crowd a moment to cool down. "Pretty much everyone expected that match to be Jack Swagger's last match as ECW Champion, but The All-American American did pull through. Tonight, however, Jack Swagger will defend the ECW Championship against Christian." The crowd begins to cheer. Christian is one of the most popular superstars in the WWE, and undoubtably the most popular on ECW. "I understand that Christian and yourself have become good friends as of late. That leads me to this; do you think Christian has what it takes to win tonight?" "Does he think Christian has what it takes?" The crowd boos as Jack Swagger appears on the TitanTron and stares face-to-face at Brownlee. "I'll tell you something about Christian. He has never been a World Champion, and he never will be. I am Jack Swagger, and I am the definition of greatness. You see, everyone doubted me, but last night I held onto this Championship. Tonight when I..." "Jack, let me stop you right there." The crowd cheers again as Swagger seems disgruntled about being interrupted. "When all is said and done tonight, Christian will be the new E C W Champion! And Jack, I personally guarantee that." Brownlee pushes past Swagger and walks down the hallway, leaving Swagger with a furious look on his face. "That just made the Main Event Match even more intriguing. What does Brownlee mean when he says he personally guarantees that Christian will win tonight?" "I don't know, but Brownlee has something in mind, and you know Jack Swagger's going to be worried about it during the match, which can't possibly be good for his chances of winning." Tommy Dreamer The Innovator of Violence enters the arena to a large ovation from the fans. The people here in ECW have always loved Dreamer, and that's not going to change even though his contract is quite close to expiring. He high-fives some fans in the front row as he walks to the ring, sporting an ECW T-Shirt. "Ladies and gentlemen we're about to witness what could very well be Tommy Dreamer's final ECW Match, can Dreamer capitalize on this opportunity? We're going to find out--next!" Tommy Dreamer vs. ??? [up Next] It's the most Prestigious Championship in the world of Professional Wrestling, and it's been his dream to finally capture it. Now, just three weeks after winning the World Heavyweight Championship at Judgment Day, The Extreme Enigma Jeff Hardy defends the World Heavyweight Championship against The Big Red Machine Kane! WWE Legacy™ Presents: Extreme Rules! Live three weeks away on Pay-Per-View! "Welcome back to ECW, Tommy Dreamer is ready to go, but the question is, who is he going to face tonight?" "Well, I'm guessing that's a question we're just seconds away from getting an answer to, Todd." William Regal BOO! The crowd boos as the Heat World Champion steps into the arena, the Heat World Title around his waist. He is wearing a robe with the design of a british flag, and black wrestling tights underneath. He looks angry, yet determined as he walks to the ring. "Uh-oh, this may not be good for The Innovator of Violence. We know William Regal is furious about losing to Evan Bourne last week in under two minutes, and he might be looking to take that anger out on Tommy Dreamer right here tonight." "Well it's certainly going to be a challenge, but Tommy Dreamer might be able to handle it none-the-less." First Match: Tommy Dreamer vs. William Regal Match: The bell rings and Dreamer gets the crowd to start an "ECW" chant through clapping. Regal looks angry as always, known for the ruthless style of techinical wrestling that he displays inside the squared circle. They lock-up in the center of the ring, and Regal forces Dreamer into the corner. Regal drives a knee into Dreamer's chest twice before Irish Whipping him out of the corner and hitting him with a Clothesline. The crowd boos as The Englishman taunts, showing his superiority. Regal tries a cover..."1! 2!" Dreamer kicks the shoulder up. Regal seemingly snaps and fires away at Dreamer with Right Hands to the face. The Referee pulls Regal off of Dreamer before threatening Disqualification if it happens again. "Man, if William Regal loses his cool, he can be absolutely brutal to deal with inside that ring. I've never faced Regal, but I've seen a lot of his matches, and I can't help but appreciate his style of wrestling." "Tommy Dreamer has been known to have a vicious streak at times once he gets that momentum going, but right now it appears things are just not going well for The Innovator of Violence." Regal pulls Dreamer to the center of the ring and stomps his chest twice. He rebounds off the ropes and drops a knee on Dreamer's upper-chest area. Hooks the leg..."1! 2!" Dreamer kicks out again. Regal gets the former ECW Champion to his feet and Irish Whips him into the corner. He goes for a Corner Clothesline, but Dreamer runs out of the corner, causing Regal to run into the turnbuckle. Dreamer gets a Roll-Up Pin..."1! 2!" Regal rolls out of it. Regal tries a Clothesline, duck by Dreamer, Back Body Drop! Dreamer sticks out his arms and yells at the top of his lungs, to which the crowd replies with a huge pop. The Innovator of Violence hits a Scoop Slam on Regal and goes to the second rope. He drops an elbow right on Regal's chest! Dreamer hooks the legs! "1! 2! Three--no!" The Heat World Champion stays in the match! "Tommy Dreamer has managed to completely turn this match around! If he can keep this advantage, he might be just one or two moves away from going to Extreme Rules to challenge for the ECW Championship!" "This is that vicious streak of Dreamer's that I was referring to earlier. Once those tables turn, it's not so simple to turn them back around." Dreamer gets Regal to his feet and tries a Suplex, but The Englishman blocks it with some hard shots to the chest. Regal kicks Dreamer in the chest and hits a Double Underhook Suplex. The crowd boos, knowing that if Dreamer loses this match he'll likely never wrestle in ECW again. Regal tries another cover..."1! 2! Three--no!" The crowd cheers as Dreamer kicks out. Regal gets Dreamer up and goes for an Exploder Suplex, but Dreamer elbows Regal in the side of the head three times, blocking the hold. Regal hits a kick to the chest, taking all of the wind out of Dreamer, and rebounds off the ropes. Regal goes for the Running Knee...will he get it? No! Dreamer dodges! He turns Regal around...DDT! Hooks the legs! "1! 2! 3!" Winner: Tommy Dreamer "Wow! Tommy Dreamer is going to Extreme Rules! What a hard-fought victory for the man that many people call The Heart and Soul of ECW!" "Tommy Dreamer as you know the last remaining ECW Original, and now he has a chance to regain the ECW Championship!" "Well, coming up next, Chris West steps into the ring with Tyson Kidd in what should be a great battle! That's next!" Tyson Kidd (w/David Hart Smith) vs. Chris West (w/Zack Ryder) [up Next] Commercial break He's ballin, and he lived up to his promise to become the WWE United States Champion at Judgment Day. But that...that was just a normal match. At Extreme Rules, pain is not a possibility, it's a definite. The Ballin' Superstar MVP defends the WWE United States Championship against the vicious Striker Boyd in a Barbed Wire Match! Someone's going to get hurt. Tyson Kidd The crowd boos as The Dynamo and his Tag Team Partner, David Hart Smith, step into the arena. They walk to the ring, Kidd's "extreme" haircut getting some puzzling looks from the crowd. David Hart Smith stands on the outside of the ring while Tyson Kidd climbs the ring steps and enters it. "Tyson Kidd is probably the best pure athlete on the ECW Brand. He has that innovative offense with kicks, but he has the technical wrestling ability as well." "Tyson Kidd competed in his first Singles Match at Backlash when he tried to take the WWE United States Championship from Dustin Delta, but he was unsuccessful. This will be his second Singles Match, and I'm interested to see how well he performs." The crowd cheers as "Fireflight" plays throughout the arena and The Rapidfire Superstar makes his way into the arena. He walks down the ramp, high-fiving some fans with Zack Ryder following suit. West slides into the ring and locks eyes with Tyson Kidd while Ryder remains ringside. "As good as Tyson Kidd is, I've seen Chris West do some pretty impressive things inside that ring too. West made his return to action last week in a Tag Team Match, earning the victory for his team after pinning Tyson Kidd, which led to this matchup here tonight." Second Match: Tyson Kidd (w/David Hart Smith) vs. Chris West (w/Zack Ryder) Match: West and kid stare each other down, looking for an attack strategy. They're both experienced, so simple moves aren't going to work too well here. West tries a Right Hand, but Kidd ducks it and quickly applies a Hammer Lock. The Rapidfire Superstar struggles to break the hold, but Kidd kicks the back of his knee, taking him to the mat an keeping the hold applied. Kidd wraps his arm around West's neck and uses his knee to keep West's arm against his back, successfully keeping the Hammer Lock applied while applying a Reverse Chinlock. Ryder watches on with concern, trying to give support to The Rapidfire Superstar. "Tyson Kidd has managed to gain the early advantage thanks to his technical wrestling abilities, and it looks like it's going to take a lot of effort on Chris West's part to get out of this hold." "We know Tyson Kidd is the final graduate of The Hart Dungeon. Kidd claims that they closed The Hart Dungeon because he was so good there was no point in trying to train anyone else." "Well that may be overdoing it a bit, but one must acknowledge the talent that Kidd possesses, and know that he's a formidable opponent." Zack Ryder begins to clap and the crowd follows suit. West tries to build momentum and break out of the hold, but it just doesn't seem possible. Smith yells "Make him Tap!" from the outside, and the crowd boos. Slowly, The Rapidfire Superstar gets on one leg and hits an elbow to the chest. Kidd lets go for a moment and hits a club to the back before applying a Sleeper Hold. In an impressive display, West jumps and flips backwards, landing in a sitting position while taking Kidd down with a Reverse DDT. The crowd cheers huge as West uses the ropes to pull himself to his feet, looking for some way to get back in the match. "That move was one word...awesome. I barely even remember the last time I saw a move like that. Kudos to West." "Chris West has opened the door, now he has to seize the opportunity!" Kidd runs toward West, but The Rapidfire Superstar drops him with a Clothesline. The Stampede Kid quickly rolls to his feet, only to get dropped with another Clothesline. The crowd cheers as West taunts, trying to keep the momentum going. He rebounds off the ropes and hits a Leg Drop. West hooks the outside leg..."1! 2!" Kidd gets the shoulder up, and Smith shows signs of relief. West hits a couple of Left Hands to the face of Kidd, making sure he's down, before exiting to the ring apron. As West leaps up on the ropes, going for a Springboard, Tyson Kidd gets to his feet. West leaps, and Kidd hits a powerful Dropkick in mid-air, slowing down any momentum that West might've had. "Wow! Tyson Kidd might've just put an end to this match. What a Dropkick, and that's where Tyson's expertise comes into play." "It looked like Chris West was going to end things with some kind of Springboard, but things didn't work out the way he had wanted them to." The crowd boos as Kidd hooks the legs. "1! 2! Three--no!" West barely kicks out! Kidd looks shocked, and Ryder smiles from outside the ring. Kidd yells at the Referee, saying "That was three! Learn how to count!" Kidd tries another cover, hooking the legs once again, but only gets a two count. He sits up, frustrated, and looks around the arena. West gets to his feet and hits Kidd in the chest. He hits a European Uppercut, sending The Dynamo back into the ropes. Kidd rebounds and West tries a Back Body Drop, but gets knee'd in the face instead. Tyson Kidd hits a Suplex and rolls into the cover, but once again gets a two count. A close two count, but a two count nonetheless. Ryder begins to slam the apron, trying to give support to his Tag Team Partner. The crowd begins to clap, and some "Tyson sucks!" chants fill the arena. "This match is just exceeding the expectations. Both of these men are splendid performers and I'm so glad I get to call this thing." Tyson picks West up and knees him in the chest twice. Tyson bends West's arm back and applies an Abdominal Stretch. Signs of pain show on West's face once again as Kidd yells "Ta p out!", but The Rapidfire Superstar refuses. He hits a Right Hand to the face, followed by another, causing Kidd to break the hold. West leaps and hits a Hurracanrana, sending his opponent half-way across the ring. He runs and hits a Leg Lariat, to which the crowd responds with cheers. West hooks the leg! "1! 2!" Kidd gets the shoulder up! West looks around in desperation, not sure what to do to put Kidd away. "Neither man can put their opponent away. What's it going to take to give one of these guys the victory here, Matt?" "Well we've seen that it's not going to be a surprise move, as both men have connected with moves out of nowhere and they weren't enough. I'm thinking Kidd's gonna have to hit that Springboard Elbow Drop or West's going to have to hit The Rapidfire Plunge." Kidd sits up and West hits a strong kick to the chest, sending him back to the mat. The Rapidfire Superstar looks around as the crowd cheers. He ascends to the top rope and faces the crowd. He leaps backwards as Kidd sits up, but The Rapidfire Plunge doesn't connect as Kidd moves out of the way, causing West to crash into the mat. He quickly rolls to his feet and hits Tyson Kidd with a Right Hand. David Hart Smith gets on the apron and yells at West, who goes to confront him. Tyson Kidd tries a Clothesline, but West dodges it and Kidd Clotheslines Smith off the apron. The crowd cheers as West turns Smith around and hits him with a High-End Spinebuster! West leaps to the top...RAPIDFIRE PLUNGE! It hits! Cover! "1! 2! 3!" Winner: Chris West "That was almost too close to call! What a match, but the downfall obviously came when David Hart Smith tried to get involved, but ended up costing Kidd the victory!" "No matter who won, both men gave it one-hundred and ten percent, and it was a really amazing contest." "Well ladies and gentlemen the time for fun and games is over. Jack Swagger has a Title Defense coming up next, and he's anything but thrilled about it. Christian challenges Jack Swagger for the ECW Championship...next!" Commercial break At Judgment Day, he didn't pay for his sins. He even tried to cost Jeff Hardy the World Championship. But he wasn't expecting a return this momentous! "For those of you that do not know, a Barbed Wire Match is a match in which the ropes are replaced with Barbed Wire, and there are no turnbuckle pads. In other words, unless you're laying on the mat, you're bound to take some pain in this match." "Shawn Michaels made a surprise return at Judgment Day and helped Jeff Hardy become the World Champion, and know he's going to step into the ring with Edge in a Last Man Standing Match! We've seen what both Michaels and Edge are capable of, now just imagine that in a match where victory comes by hurting your opponent to the point that they are unable to answer the Referee's ten count." "We've seen Jeff Hardy and Kane fight many times, but now we're going to see them fight one last time in a Steel Cage! He puts his hand to his forehead and looks around the arena as his "peeps". "Well we're ready for the Main Event and what a Main Event it's going to be. Christian looks to make his mark here on ECW by becoming the ECW Champion for the first time in his career, and thus becoming a World Champion for the first time in his career." "Jack Swagger told Christian that he's the better athlete because he's actually held a World Championship, but Christian could easily prove The All-American American wrong right here tonight!" Jack Swagger The All-American American enters the arena to major heat. A large grin lines his face as he walks to the ring, ECW Championship Belt around his waist. The crowd shows their affection through boos, and many of them believe that tonight is Jack Swagger's final night as Champion. "I'm still wondering what Brownlee has in mind. He told Jack Swagger that he personally guaranteed Christian's victory tonight. The ECW Champion not only has to worry about Brownlee, he has to worry about Christian as well. I don't like Swagger's chances." "Brownlee made his Debut here on ECW two weeks ago and pinned Jack Swagger thanks to some assistance from Christian, and I'm guessing that Brownlee is looking to repay the favor." Main Event Match: Christian vs. Jack Swagger [ECW Championship] Match: Swagger tries to start things off with a Clothesline but Christian ducks and decks him with a Right Hand, taking The All-American American down. Swagger quickly gets to his feet and Christian runs forward. Swagger tries a Back Body Drop but Christian rolls forward and hits a Sunset Flip Pin! "1! 2! Is Christian gonna become the ECW Champion?! No!" Swagger rolls out of it. The All-American American gets to his feet and Christian hits a quick Dropkick, taking him back down. Christian tries a cover..."1! 2!" but Swagger kicks out. "Christian" chants begin to fill the arena as The Instant Classic looks around the arena, trying to remain focused on winning the ECW Championship. "Christian has the upper hand...can he keep it? We'll find out after the break!" Commercial break "Welcome back to ECW and during the break, Jack Swagger was able to gain the upper hand after a Big Boot that nearly knocked Christian out." Swagger has a Dragon Sleeper Hold applied in the center of the ring. Christian is on his feet but arched backwards as the move is applied. The crowd boos as a large grin lines Swagger's face. He applies more pressure to the hold, trying to earn a quick victory. Christian tries to kick Swagger, but his foot won't reach. Upon realizing that he isn't going to get a Submission Victory, Swagger hits Christian in the chest twice before throwing him face-first into the mat. Swagger picks up Christian by his leg and drops him, causing his knee to slam into the mat. He grins again to major heat. "That one Big Boot that Swagger connected with earlier has completely turned this match around. Christian's great, but once Swagger starts to get control like this, his wrestling skill can be overwhelming." "Let's not forget Brownlee's comments from earlier tonight. He personally guaranteed victory for Christian, and we've yet to see him out here." Swagger drops an elbow on Christian. He stands up, taunts the crowd, and drops another elbow. Swagger tries a cover..."1! 2!" Christian kicks out! Swagger knees Christian in the back and tries yet another cover, but again Captain Charisma kicks out at two. The All-American American Irish Whips Christian into the ropes. Captain Charisma rebounds and tries a Clothesline, but Swagger dodges it. Christian runs back but gets hit with a Belly-to-Belly Suplex! Swagger hooks the legs..."1! 2! Three--no!" Christian kicks out! The crowd tries another "Christian" chant, realizing that The Instant Classic needs to get some momentum or his chances of winning are as good as gone. "Jack Swagger just continues to keep the control. Every time Christian starts to build momentum, Swagger comes at him with another, more powerful, move." "We've seen Christian in some tight spots, but none moreso than this one." Swagger gets to his feet and measures Christian up for a Swagger Bomb. Christian gets up and Swagger lifts him, but Christian reverses it into a Backslide Pin! This could do it! We're gonna have a new ECW Champion! "1! 2! Three--no!" Swagger kicks out! Swagger goes for a Clothesline but Christian ducks it and hits a Falling Reverse DDT! The crowd pops as Christian tries another cover. "1! 2! Three--no!" And again Swagger kicks out! Christian Irish Whips Swagger into the corner. He goes for a Corner Clothesline, but Swagger dodges it. He hits Christian with a Right Hand and tries to lift him onto the ropes, but Christian slides through the second rope and kicks Swagger in the face before sliding back in. Swagger falls onto the second rope. The crowd cheers as Captain Charisma leaps over the ropes and out of the ring, landing on his feet on the mat below. He hits a Right Hand to the face and slides back into the ring. "Christian has managed to turn this around! We might crown a new Champion right here!" "Will Christian finally win a World Title? Let's see!" Christian hooks the leg! "1! 2! No!" Swagger gets the shoulder up. Christian looks around in desperation. He tries a Killswitch, but Swagger pushes him into the corner. Christian rebounds with a Clothesline and falls to the mat, tired out. Swagger rolls out of the ring and grabs the ECW Championship. Similar to Judgment Day, he begins walking up the ramp, the crowd booing heavily. "Apparently Jack Swagger can't defeat Christian, so he's going to lose by Count Out." "1! 2! 3! 4!" "Wait a minute!" "Ohh what's this! Here we go!" "5! 6!" Brownlee begins walking down the ramp and Jack Swagger backs up slowly. He decks Brownlee with a Right Hand and slides into the ring, the crowd booing. Swagger hits Christian with a second Big Boot, knocking the challenger out. Brownlee gets to his feet and begins walking to the ring. He climbs on the ring apron and Swagger yells at him. Swagger slaps him in the face, and the crowd boos. Brownlee looks around the arena for a moment before landing a hard Right Hand on Swagger's face. Swagger stumbles backwards...no way! Christian's up! KILLSWITCH! He hits it! Christian hooks the legs! "1! 2! 3!" We have a new ECW Champion! Winner [and the new ECW Champion]: Christian "I don't believe it! Christian just defeated Jack Swagger! That's unfair! Brownlee laid a hand on Swagger, and the match should've ended in Disqualification!" "Actually, Jack Swagger initiated the contact, so Brownlee's move was perfectly legal!" "Regardless, Christian is the new ECW Champion, and at Extreme Rules, he'll be facing The Innovator of Violence Tommy Dreamer!" "Ladies and gentlemen thanks for watching, and we'll see you next Tuesday Night!" Christian climbs to the top rope and holds up the ECW Championship. The crowd pops huge. He steps down and exits the ring, high-fiving Brownlee before sharing a quick embrace. Brownlee holds up Christian's arm before the ECW Champion walks to the back. He's ALWAYS on ECW. Allow me to explain something. You see' date=' ECW is half the length of the other shows, and it's arguably my best out of all three. I try to make sure there's plenty of action and good storylines at the same time and - that being said - I can't have every Superstar appear every week.
