nice ECW. Can't wait for my debut there.

 

It's likely that Brownlee will debut in ECW a week or two after Backlash when the Draft takes effect.

Did you read Wrestlemania 25? Lord Smith participated in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. He'll make his return to the ring this Sunday at Backlash in the 21-Man Tri-Branded Battle Royal.

[color=orange]"That's right baby! Backlash is gonna be off the charts!"[/color]

[color=purple]"And we are here tonight in Albany, New York, but this Sunday we'll be live from Providence, Rhode Island!"[/color]

[color=orange]"We've got two huge matches tonight!"[/color]

[color=purple]"Definitely true. The WWE Champion CM Punk battles The Legend Killer Randy Orton!"[/color]

[color=orange]"That's big for sure, but how about this one?! John Cena teams up with Jeff Hardy to take on Edge and Triple H!"[/color]

[color=orange]"How awesome is it that we've got two brand new Divas right here on Friday Night Smackdown?!"[/color]

[color=purple]"There are a few people that were asking about the Triple H vs. The Hurricane Extreme Rules Match scheduled for tonight, but due to personal reasons, The Hurricane was unable to show up here tonight, and therefore that match will most likely be held at a later date."[/color]

[color=orange]"I guess you could say that's a good thing for The Hurricane, J.R.!"[/color]

The brash young superstar enters the arena with a large grin on his face. The crowd boos as he walks to the ring, mocking a couple of the fans.

[color=purple]"This man right here earned quite possibly the biggest victory over his career this past Tuesday on ECW when he pinned The Undertaker. Granted, it was due to interference on behalf of Jack Swagger, but a victory's a victory."[/color]

[color=orange]"And even more impressive than the actual victory, Ziggler managed to hold his own for a good part of the match. I'm glad this guy got Drafted here to Smackdown!"[/color]

[color=purple]"Dolph Ziggler is a former World Tag Team and ECW Tag Team Champion, winning both sets of Championships with John Morrison. After a fallout a couple of weeks ago on ECW, Morrison and Ziggler split up as a Tag Team, and they were both Drafted to separate shows."[/color]

Dolph Ziggler enters the ring and gets a microphone. The crowd boos as he looks around, still smiling.

"Allow me to introduce myself..." A pause as the crowd continues to boo. "My name...is Dolph Ziggler! For those of you that don't know me, I have to say I'm a bit surprised. After all, I defeated The Undertaker this past Tuesday on ECW." "You suck" chants begin to fill the arena as Ziggler taunts inside the ring. "I gotta say, I'm the future of this business. I mean, I'm only twenty-eight years old, and I've only been in this business for about six months, and yet I've already earned pinfall victories over The Undertaker and Chris Jericho. Not to mention the fact that I'm a two-time Tag Team Champion. And now that I'm here on Smackdown, you should all be honored that you'll..."

The crowd cheers as "Break the Walls Down" hits and the former ECW Champion enters the arena. Ziggler stares at Jericho with an annoyed look on his face, obviously angry that Jericho interrupted his promo.

[color=purple]"It might be time for Dolph Ziggler to put his money where his mouth is!"[/color]

[color=orange]"I have no doubt he can do it, J.R.! I mean, he's beaten Chris Jericho before, why not do it again?"[/color]

Jericho enters the ring and Ziggler backs toward the corner. Jericho asks for a microphone, and he gets one.

"You know what, ZIggler?" Some cheers from the crowd. "You come out here and run your mouth about defeating myself and The Undertaker, but I've got some news for you. Your victory over me was a complete fluke!" "Y2J" chants from the crowd start to fill the arena and Ziggler looks irritated.

"What do you want me to say, Chris? Just because you're jealous of my incredible wrestling talent doesn't mean you have to pretend that I got lucky against you. Why don't you man up and just admit defeat?"

"You know what, Ziggler? I've got a better idea. How about you and I go one-on-one, right here, right now?!"

"Works for me. I'll just beat you for a second time. Let's get a Referee out here."

Dolph Ziggler puts the microphone down, as does Jericho, and a Referee runs to the ring.

[color=purple]"Well it looks like we're gonna have a match right here between Ziggler and Jericho!"[/color]

[color=orange]"Jericho's been on a winning streak of sorts going into Backlash, but many people are saying that he won't be able to defeat The Undertaker. In just two days time, we're going to find out."[/color]

First Match: Dolph Ziggler vs. Chris Jericho

Match: Ziggler and Jericho walk up to each other and have a short stare-down. Ziggler slaps Jericho in the face and the crowd says "Ooh!". Jericho, furiously, attempts to strike Ziggler with a Right Hand, but Ziggler ducks and throws Jericho shoulder-first into the ring post! Ziggler with a Schoolboy Pin! 1! 2! Jericho rolls out of it. Ziggler runs toward Jericho, but Jericho hits him with a Clothesline. Jericho begins to hit Ziggler with some Right Hands until the Referee forces him to stop or risk disqualification. Jericho tries for a cover, but Ziggler makes a quick kick-out at one. Jericho gets Ziggler to his feet and grabs his head. He walks him to the corner and slams his head into the turnbuckle. Jericho hits ZIggler with a few kicks to the chest and Ziggler falls into a seated position in the corner. Again the Referee orders Jericho to move away or risk disqualification.

[color=orange]"Man, I gotta admit, Jericho's lookin pretty good here. If he can compete like this at Backlash, he just might have a chance at winning."[/color]

[color=purple]"Hey, no one's taking anything away from Jericho. It's just that The Undertaker has proven time and time again that he is extremely dominant, and right now, The Undertaker is extremely angry at Jack Swagger. All The Phenom has to do to get his hands on Jack Swagger is defeat Chris Jericho, and I have a feeling that's whats going to happen."[/color]

Jericho backs up like he's told to. He walks back toward Ziggler after waiting a moment and pulls him up. Ziggler kicks Jericho in the chest and slams his head into the second turnbuckle. Ziggler with a Roll-Up! 1! 2! And again Jericho kicks out. Jericho grabs Ziggler and Irish Whips him to the opposite corner. Jericho connects with a Corner Clothesline before bouncing off the ropes and hitting a One-Handed Bulldog. The crowd starts to get behind Jericho again. Jericho bounces off the ropes...Lionsault? No! Ziggler puts his knees up! Jericho rolls away from Ziggler, holding his chest in pain.

[color=purple]"That counter has just changed the momentum completely. When you make a high-risk move like that, you're taking a huge risk, and it didn't pay off for Jericho."[/color]

[color=orange]"The way Jericho landed had to have knocked all of the air out of him. If Ziggler can capitalize, this match is as good as over."[/color]

Dolph Ziggler gets to his feet first - expectedly - and tries a cover, but is only able to score a two. He looks a bit frustrated but realizes that complaining about it is doing nothing but giving Jericho time to recover. Ziggler hits a Standing Elbow Drop on Jericho! And another one! One more for good measure and Ziggler hooks the legs! This could do it! 1! 2! Jericho gets his foot on the bottom rope and the Referee stops the count. Ziggler yells at the Referee for a moment. He turns around...Small Package from Jericho! 1! 2! Ziggler kicks out. Both superstars get to their feet and signs of pain can be seen on Jericho's face. Ziggler goes for a Clothesline, but Jericho ducks it! Jericho rebounds off the ropes...Flashback! Cover by Jericho! 1! 2! And yet [i]another[/i] kick-out from Ziggler!

[color=purple]"Neither of these men are willing to quit here!"[/color]

[color=orange]"This match is turning out to be a great one! I had expected an enjoyable match, but nothing like this!"[/color]

Jericho goes for a Suplex, but Ziggler counters it into a Facebuster Suplex. Ziggler hooks the leg, but only gets a two count. Ziggler goes to the top rope and waits for Jericho to get to his feet. Ziggler jumps - going for a Diving Clothesline - but Jericho grabs his legs! Walls of Jericho locked in! "Y2J" chants begin to fill the arena as Jericho drags Ziggler to the center of the ring! Ziggler refuses to submit, though, and begins to crawl toward the ropes. Ziggler gets his hands on the bottom rope, and Jericho is forced to break the hold. Ziggler gets to his feet and engages in a battle of blows with Jericho. Ziggler hits a Picture Perfect Dropkick and Jericho falls to the mat. Ziggler hooks the leg! 1! 2! Thr--no! Kick-out! Ziggler exits the ring and gets a steel chair. The Referee struggles with him for it as Jericho uses the ropes to pull himself to his feet! Hey wait! It's Jack Swagger! Swagger runs through the crowd and blasts Jericho with the ECW Title Belt from outside the ring! The Referee doesn't notice it as he's busy arguing with Ziggler over the chair! Ziggler takes advantage! Connects with the Jumping Russian Leg Sweep! Boos as Ziggler hooks the legs! 1! 2! 3!

Winner: Dolph Ziggler

[color=purple]"It's over! Thanks to Jack Swagger, Dolph Ziggler has picked up another huge victory!"[/color]

[color=orange]"First Swagger takes out The Deadman on ECW, and now Jericho here tonight! Dolph Ziggler happened to be in the right place at the right time, I guess!"[/color]

[color=purple]"I don't think Ziggler really gives a d*mn how he won the match, but regardless, it was a great match!"[/color]

[color=orange]"True that! What a great way to open the final Smackdown before Backlash!"[/color]

[b]After a grueling match at Wrestlemania, The Undertaker defeated Chris Jericho to become the ECW Champion. Then, The All-American American Jack Swagger used the Money in the Bank Briefcase to cash in on an opportunity and defeat The Legendary Phenom to win the belt for himself! Now, both Jericho and The Deadman are hungry for a rematch! But only one can have it! Chris Jericho battles The Undertaker! WWE Backlash! Live on Pay-Per-View! This Sunday![/b]

[color=purple]"Welcome back to Smackdown, and just before the commercial we witnessed a great battle between Chris Jericho and Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler was able to pick up another huge win thanks to interference from the ECW Champion Jack Swagger. Swagger will not be defending the Championship at Backlash, but I have a feeling he'll have some involvement in the Pay-Per-View."[/color]

[color=orange]"No doubt about it, J.R. However, now that both Jericho and The Undertaker know what to expect, they'll most likely be on guard come Backlash."[/color]

The Ruthless Russian enters the arena sporting a pair of white wrestling tights. He holds his arms above his head and yells on the ramp as the fans boo him.

[color=purple]"Well speaking of on guard, many people should be on guard from that man, Vladimir Kozlov."[/color]

[color=orange]"Vladimir Kozlov is like a human cyborg, J.R. He'll rip you apart in a second."[/color]

Kozlov enters the ring and stares at his opponent, an Albany local, standing across the ring from him.

Second Match: Vladimir Kozlov vs. Michael Tramond

Match: The young Albany native rushes right into the fight to hit Kozlov with a Right Hand, but Kozlov blocks it with ease, grabbing Tramond's wrist and twisting it. Kozlov hits him with a Headbutt to the head and he falls to the mat. Kozlov picks him up and Irish Whips him across the ring, causing him to smash into the turnbuckle and nearly flip backwards onto the mat. "You suck" chants fill the ring as Kozlov yells again, showing his superiority. Tramond gets to his feet and bounces off the ropes, attempting a Clothesline. [b]Battering Ram Headbutt![/b] Tramond crashes and burns falling straight to the mat. Kozlov picks up the fallen native and hits a Chokeslam, covering him for the easy victory. 1! 2! 3!

Winner: Vladimir Kozlov

Kozlov exits the ring and gets a microphone. He stands on the outside of the ring and looks around at the crowd for a moment. [color=purple]"I can't argue with that, Tazz. Kozlov has destroyed superstar after superstar since making his WWE Debut. And although he did lose to CM Punk last week, he still came very close to winning."[/color]

[color=orange]"How bout' this, J.R.? Still to come tonight, the WWE Champion CM Punk battles The Legend Killer Randy Orton!"[/color]

[color=purple]"This will be Randy Orton's first match since being Drafted to Smackdown, and he'll most likely see it as a warm-up for the Battle Royal at Backlash. We're going to hear from Randy Orton, next!"[/color]

The Legend Killer enters the arena to major heat. He walks to the ring slowly and with a lack of emotion. He is dressed in a black t-shirt and dark blue jeans. The crowd boos as he walks to the ring, but he just ignores it.

[color=purple]"The viper-like Randy Orton was Drafted here to Smackdown just a couple of weeks ago, and tonight he'll wrestle his first match since doing so. Randy Orton has a reputation of ending careers, or nearly ending careers. He's done both numberous times."[/color]

[color=orange]"That vicious Punt of Orton's that we've seen many times has put a lot of guys on the shelf. One's gotta wonder if we'll see things like that happen on Smackdown."[/color]

[color=purple]"And as we learned earlier tonight, Randy Orton is scheduled to face CM Punk later on tonight in what I'm sure will be a good match."[/color]

Orton gets a microphone.

"I don't know who Vickie Guerrero thinks she is. I am the highlight of this show! People buy tickets to see me compete!" The crowd shows their disapproval of Orton's comments with more boos, which he promptly ignores and resumes speaking. "I arrive here at the arena tonight to find out that I'm scheduled to face CM Punk, a man that doesn't even deserve to be the WWE Champion." Boos and some "CM Punk" chants fill the arena. Orton seems a bit annoyed by them. "You can cheer CM Punk all you want! You can boo me all you want! It doesn't change the fact that I am the best superstar on Smackdown. H*ll, I'm the best superstar in this business. You don't have to like me, but you do have to respect me. I defeated Shawn Michaels at..." "You suck" chants fill the arena, interrupting Orton, and he stops speaking for a moment. "I defeated Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 25 in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. Who else can say they've done that? No one. Exactly. I am a Legendary superstar, and I refuse to compete here on Smackdown until I am placed in a Championship Match! I demand that I am shown respect, and until that happens, you won't be seeing me compete." The crowd begins to cheer. "You're all happy about it now, but in a week or two, you'll come to realize that this show is nothing without me. This of course, excludes the Tri-Branded Battle Royal on Sunday. I plan to win that match and become the WWE Champion at Judgment Day. By the end of the night on Sunday, I will be the Official Number One Contender for the WWE Title. If CM Punk wants to face me, he can wait until Judgment Day. Provided he retains the Title."

Zack Ryder enters the arena to a major pop and a look of disgust appears on Randy Orton's face. Ryder walks to each end of the stage and taunts for the fans, who respond with huge pops.

[color=purple]"I'm not sure what Zack Ryder's doing out here, but one thing's for sure; Randy Orton sure as h*ll isn't happy about it."[/color]

[color=orange]"Is Randy Orton ever happy about anything, J.R.?"[/color]

[color=purple]"Good point."[/color]

Ryder begins to make his way to the ring, high-fiving some fans along the way. He enters the ring and gets a microphone before getting right in Orton's face.

"What, [b]WHAT[/b] the h*ll are you doing out here?" Orton asks angrily.

"What am I doing out here? The irony here is funny, Orton. You're obviously angry about me interrupting you, and all eighteen-thousand, two hundred and twenty-five people in this arena are angry about you coming out here and rambling on about foolishness!" Another major, and I mean major, pop for Ryder as Orton starts to show signs of anger.

"Who do you think you are? Before you were Drafted to ECW, you were an umimportant, crap wrestler, who hadn't won a match in who knows how long? Now you seem to think that you have what it takes to make it in the big leagues. Well I've got some news for you, Ryder. You don't. Go back to your little low-card wrestling crap." "You suck" chants - directed at Orton - begin to fill the arena.

"Randy, you're just angry because you haven't held a Championship Belt in almost a year. You take out your anger on people by cheapshotting or blindsiding them, and you feel proud because of it. I may not be the best, or anywhere near the best for that matter, but when I step into the ring, I fight like a man, not a coward."

Orton tries to hit Ryder with a Right Hand, but Ryder ducks it - expecting it - and hits Orton with a Right Hand of his own. Orton falls to the mat and Ryder picks him up. He goes for an STO, but Orton blocks it and slides out of the ring. He slams the ring apron angrily before turning around to walk up the ramp.

The crowd goes absolutely nuts as The Chairman of the Board steps out onto the stage. Orton's eyes widen in surprise/disbelief.

"Randy Orton, hold on just a second! Now I know it's been a while since I've been here on Smackdown, but I'm not going to get this year started with an overconfident, egotistical superstar like yourself refusing to compete. Randy, you say you won't compete until you get a Championship Match? Well I beg to differ." The crowd cheers. "If you don't want to face CM Punk tonight, then that's fine, but you will be competing at Backlash!" More cheers. "And I don't mean the Tri-Branded Battle Royal Match! At Backlash, you're going to go one-on-one with that man--Zack Ryder!" Ryder smiles and the fans pop. Orton yells angrily. "And the winner of that match will be allowed to compete in the Tri-Branded Battle Royal! The loser of that match, will not!"

Mr. McMahon exits the arena as Orton walks angrily to the back.

[color=purple]"What an announcement! Randy Orton will go one-on-one with Zack Ryder at Backlash, and whoever loses will be out of the Tri-Branded Battle Royal!"[/color]

[color=orange]"Man, Orton is furious!"[/color]

[color=purple]"So I guess we're not going to see Randy Orton vs. CM Punk tonight, but I know what we are going to see. Coming up next, it's a Double Diva Debut Match as Rachel Delta takes on Amber Wattkins!"[/color]

[color=orange]"You bet I have! Two smokin hot Divas making their Smackdown Debut in the same night? That's awesome!"[/color]

[color=purple]"Rachel Delta made her first WWE Appearance at Wrestlemania 25, and she was Drafted to Smackdown in the Supplemental Draft. Her husband, Dustin, was Drafted to Raw."[/color]

[color=orange]"We're gonna see if Rachel can uh...make it on her own."[/color]

Smackdown's newest Diva steps into the arena, smiling. She doesn't really get a reaction from the crowd as she's new, and it'll take them some time to decide if they like her or not. She walks to the ring, dressed in black wrestling tights and a white t-shirt. There are red bowties on either side of her hair. She high-fives a couple of fans as she walks to the ring. Rachel looks at her in disapproval.

[color=orange]"Talk about hot! Both of these girls are gonna make a nice addition to the Smackdown Divas Roster!"[/color]

Both Divas turn their attention to the TitanTron as the WWE Divas Champion enters the arena. The fans boo as Maryse walks to the Commentator's Table.

[color=purple]"Well it looks like we're going to be joined by Maryse!"[/color]

[color=orange]"This night just keeps gettin better and better!"[/color]

Maryse gets a chair and takes a set next to the Commentator's Table.

[color=purple]"Well I guess the Divas Champion is out here to get a better view of the action."[/color]

Third Match: Rachel Delta vs. Amber Wattkins

Match: Rachel gets in Amber's face and pushes her. Amber rebounds, using the ropes, and takes Rachel down with a Clothesline. Quick cover by Amber! 1! 2! And Rachel gets the shoulder up. Amber picks Rachel up by her hair and hits her with a Scoop Slam. She bounces off the ropes and goes for a Standing Leg Drop, but Rachel moves out of the way. Rachel hits Amber with a Dropkick and tries a cover, but only gets a one count. Rachel quickly applies a Reverse Chinlock. Amber starts to get to her feet and manages to battle out by throwing Rachel over her shoulder with a Snapmare Toss. Rachel quickly gets to her feet and Amber takes her down with a Clothesline. Maryse watches on from outside the ring, seemingly slightly impressed.

[color=purple]"Amber Wattkins definitely has the upper hand."[/color]

[color=orange]"Rachel needs to find a way to shift the momentum in her favor or this isn't going to end well for her."[/color]

Rachel Irish Whips Amber into the corner. Rachel goes for a Corner Clothesline, but Amber dodges it. Rachel runs toward Amber, but Amber jumps on the ropes and hits a Springboard Elbow! Cover by Amber! 1! 2! And again Rachel kicks out! Rachel rolls to her feet and hits Amber with a Forearm Smash. Rachel goes for a Standing Moonsault, but Amber moves out of the way! Amber runs to the corner...jumps up...flips backwards! She grabs Rachel's head and drives it into the mat!

[color=orange]"Wow! What a move!"[/color]

[color=purple]"Talk about athleticism!"[/color]

Cover by Amber! 1! 2! 3! It's over!

Winner: Amber Wattkins

A couple metres away from the stage, he stops and taunts the crowd, throwing both hands in the air, with only his index & pinky in the air; setting his stage pyros off. He runs and slides into the ring – performing a hump on the ground – the crowd boos louder. Edge gets up, and climbs the turnbuckle, taunting the crowd again with his hand gesture.

The crowd boos the same for HHH as they did for Edge. The lights dim green, as certain brighter colours flash through the arena. Finally, the hard drum hits, and HHH walks out onto the stage. He lifts his head and spits the water into the air, making it like fog. Triple H moves down the ramp, glaring at Edge, his partner, in the ring. HHH moves around to the side, and gets up onto the apron. He takes another mouthful of water before tossing it to the crowd. He centers himself, bends back, and waits for the laugh on the music, before spitting it out overhead, and growling at the audience – who continues to boo. HHH climbs into the ring and pushes past Edge, climbing up the turnbuckle, and taunting to crowd to bow, and continuing to flex it muscles. He music fades as he steps off the turnbuckle.

He looks at Edge, pleading for him to come in the ring, but Hardy decides to wait.

Cena makes his HLR taunt to the crowd, sending pyros off at this sides. Cena continues to salute the audience, before jumping and heading down the ramp. The crowd cheers him on. Cena nods at Hardy and slides into the ring, causing HHH and Edge to slide out. Cena does his taunt once more. Cena runs across to the ropes for several moments, before tossing his hat into the crowd. His music fades as he removes his shirt – the women love it. Edge and HHH slowly get into the ring, as Hardy and Cena decide who’s going first – HARDY! And it looks like HHH is in for their opponents. DING, DING!

Main Event Match: John Cena & Jeff Hardy vs. Triple H & Edge

Match: The match begins! Hardy and HHH lock arms in the middle of the ring – neither giving an inch! Finally, HHH pulls Hardy into a headlock, WRENCHING! HHH sets his knee on the ground, continuing to tighten his grip. Hardy flips around behind him, beginning to slow. Hardy soon begins to lifts HHH back to a standing position – but HHH uses the hip-toss to put Hardy on the mat, continuing to wrench the headlock. HHH wrenches as Cena begins to walk the apron, calling out to Hardy. Hardy slowly gets to his feet and pushes Triple H into the ropes – HHH rebounds, Hardy spins around HHH, grabbing his neck, and slamming him on the mat! Hardy recovers for a couple moments, before walking over to the now-seated HHH, and kicks his head. Hardy grabs HHH’s legs, lifting them straight in the air! Jeff jumps, and connects with a DIVING LEG DROP on HHH’s lower area! Hardy goes for the quick pin! “1!” HHH kicks out! Hardy goes to HHH’s head, lifts it, and jumps over performing the neck snap! Hardy runs to the ropes, back, and connects with a dropkick! He goes for another pin! “1!” but HHH kicks out again. Hardy grabs HHH and lifts him. He attempts an Irish Whip, but HHH overpowers Hardy into it instead! Hardy crashes with the turnbuckle and is clotheslined into it. Hardy falls to his knees, as HHH kicks him in the head, knocking him down. HHH lifts him, and throws him to the ropes, Hardy rebounds as HHH hits the running KNEE TO THE FACE! Hardy lays motionless on the ground – HHH drags him to the corner, where he tags in Edge. HHH holds Hardys arm, while Edge stomps on it. HHH goes out of the ring and Edge goes to work. He begins stomping on Hardys chest, before beginning elbow drops! Finally, after the fourth, he goes for the pin! “1…” but Hardy kicks out! Edge slaps Hardy in the head, before pulling him to his feet and slaps him again. Hardy turns and holds his face –Hardy turns and is kicked in the gut. Edge grabs Hardy and smashes his head into their turnbuckle. Edge begins hitting Hardy with multiple elbow strikes and hitting a strong knee, causing Hardy to fall. Edge begins kicking Hardy HARD! Edge tags in HHH as Edge leaves the ring. HHH grabs Hardy and tosses him to the ropes and hits a clothesline. Going for another pin! “1… 2!” Hardy kicks out. HHH drops his knee on Hardys face, before taking Hardys arm and stomping on it twice. Hardy pulls back, trying to reach Cena – but HHH pulls Hardy back and puts him in an ankle-lock! MOCKING CENA WHILE DOING IT!

[color=orange]"The Game is trying to send a direct message to John Cena!"[/color]

HHH smiled with Edge, as HHH wrenched the ankle. Cena begins clapping – the crowd followed, building motivation. After a couple more seconds, Hardy kicks HHH in the knee, causing HHH to fall back, being tagged in by Edge. Before Hardy ALMOST reaches Cena, Edge grabs Hardy and brings him back. Edge stomps on Hardys face, planting it in the ground. Edge walks up to Cena and begins mocking him. Edge slaps Cena after several moments of mocking, turning back to Hardy – KICK! DDT CLUTCH! COULD THIS BE THE TWIST OF FATE?! Edge pushes Hardy off, Hardy turns, Edge runs, Hardy jumps over Edge, TAGS IN CENA! Cena runs, clotheslines Edge over! Takes out HHH, sending him to the mat! Cena begins punching Edge, Cena tosses Edge to the ropes, SHOULDER-BLOCK! X2! Edge gets up, punches at Cena, Cena ducks, slides around, lifts edge PROTO-BOMB! Cena can feel it, building motivation! He raises his hand, the crowd cheers, he bends down, waving his hand in Edges face “You can’t see me!”, Cena runs to the ropes, rebounds, and CONNECTS WITH THE 5-KNUCKLE SHUFFLE! Cena waits for Edge to rise – but wait! Outside the ring, HHH gets up and attempts to get into the ring – but Hardy runs, leaps over, LANDS ON HHH! Edge rises, turns, and is caught by Cena on the shoulders! F-U TIME! WAIT! Edge slides off! Cena turns, he’s kicked in the gut, EDGE GRABS CENA, AND HITS EDGUCUTION! IT’S OVER!

CENA GRABS EDGES HEAD, and throws him shoulder-first, into the ring-post! Edge slowly pulls out! Cena grabs him UP ON THE SHOULDERS! But wait! Triple H is back in the ring! He kicks Cena in the gut – Cena drops Edge, Triple H locks Cena in the Pedigree Clutch! Wait! Hardy’s back in the ring too! Hardy runs at the turnbuckle, WHISPER IN THE WIND on HHH! Cena is free again! HHH rolls to the apron! The Referee is confused and isn’t going to call for a D/Q! Hardy rolls out, Cena tags him in! Hardy lifts Edge, Cena lifts HHH, UP ON THE SHOULDERS / HARDY LOCKS EDGE UNDER THE ARM! Cena F-U’s Triple H out of the ring! Hardy hits the TWIST OF FATE! Tonight...is the chance to strike back! WWE Legacy™ Presents: Backlash!

 

Whistling noises are heard as streams of bright blue fireworks stream across the stage. Soon after, green fireworks shoot from the top of the TitanTron and the stage, colliding in mid-air and creating a spectacle of bright lights and colors. The crowd of nineteen-thousand, six-hundred and twenty-seven people stand on their feet and cheer in anticipation of the fourth Pay-Per-View Event of 2009!

 

Welcome to Backlash!

 

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to WWE Backlash! We are live on Pay-Per-View in Providence, Rhode Island! I'm Good Ol' J.R. alongside Raw's Michael Cole and ECW's Matt Striker, and we're all ready to get this show on the road!"

 

"I'm so excited to be here! This crowd is estatic, and so is pretty much everyone else! For weeks now we've been preparing for Backlash, and now it's finally here!"

 

"I can't wait! Three Championships will be on the line, along with two matches that involve a shot at a Championship! Tonight will be full of action to say the least!"

 

"And it was announced earlier today on "wwe.net" that Raw General Manager Chandler Emerald has a huge announcement to make! We're going to find out what that is later on tonight!"

"I've said it before--Tyson Kidd is a great athlete! The last graduate of The Hart Family Dungeon, alongside his Tag Team Partner D.H. Smith, who is not here tonight."

 

"Anyone that graduates from The Hart Family Dungeon has a future in the business. That's been proven many times. Tyson Kidd is no exception. I expect him to do well tonight."

 

"There's no doubt in my mind that Tyson Kidd can pack a punch, but let's not take anything away from Dustin Delta. Delta's a former ECW Champion and he holds Pinfall Victories over Kurt Angle, Matt Hardy, Mr. Kennedy, and others! I'm not a big fan of his actions, but I don't think it's a good idea to count him out."

 

"I don't think anyone's counting Dustin Delta out, Cole. I've seen the guy wrestle on ECW many times, and albeit his victories aren't always "fair", he usually manages to get the job done."

 

"Dustin Delta was Drafted to Monday Night Raw in the Supplemental Draft, and that means unless Tyson Kidd picks up a victory here tonight, the United States Championship has become a Raw Championship."

 

"ECW did Draft William Regal, though, and Regal retained the Heat World Championship earlier tonight on Sunday Night Heat, meaning the Heat World Championship is officially an ECW Title now."

 

Tyson Kidd theme

 

Tyson Kidd entered Backlash, ready to win a title match. He had a smirk on his face as he walked down the ramp.

 

”Over the past several weeks, there was a United States Title Chase to Backlash, which Tyson Kidd won, defeating his Tag Team Partner and fellow Hart Dungeon Graduate D.H. Smith and Finlay in a Triple Threat Match."

 

”But if Ted DiBiase was never attacked backstage, the outcome could be very different.”

 

”Let’s focus on the United States title match. The man Tyson Kidd has to face is no laughing matter.”

 

Dustin Delta theme song

 

Dustin emerges, with a microphone in his hand and the United States title over his shoulder.

 

“Michael Cole just lied. Apparently, to the entire locker room, and to all of you misfit losers in the arena, I am a laughing matter. No matter what I do, I never get the respect I deserve. But that’s fine. I’m gonna show all of you. Tyson, you’re just an example of the pain I will put every superstar that steps in the squared circle with me through.”

 

Delta tosses the microphone down and walks down the ramp, the crowd giving him major heat. Dustin slides into the ring and holds up his title. He hands it to Lillian Garcia, who brings it to the stand by the ring bell.

 

First Match: Tyson Kidd vs. Dustin Delta [united States Championship Match]

 

Match: Tyson came first with a forearm, knocking Delta down. Dustin stood and ducked almost immeadietley as Kidd came with a clothesline. He rolled up the self-proclaimed Prince of ECW, who kicked out before the count began. Dustin began stomping on Kidd before hitting a standing moonsault.

 

”There are Dustin Delta’s high flying abilities. Not as extreme as people like Jeff Hardy, but certainly impressive.”

 

Delta hit a guillotine knee before landing some punches on Tyson’s head. Dustin pulled Kidd up into a Delta Bomb position, which Tyson used to his advantage, rolling up into a school boy pin. Dustin kicked out at two. They locked up, and Tyson tossed Dustin into a turnbuckle. Kidd ran from the other side of the ring, hitting a Bronco Buster. Kidd hit a Super Last Call, which went right into a 450 Splash. Tyson pinned Dustin again, who kicked out at two. Dustin went for a clothesline, but Tyson countered, hitting a Dragon Suplex. Kidd taunted and Delta stood. Kidd turned to receive a Side Leg, taking him down. Dustin climbed the turnbuckle, facing the crowd. He walked onto the top rope, balancing. The crowd bood, but Delta backflipped off and hit a Moonsault Knee Drop. He pinned Tyson, who was somehow able to kick out.

 

”Pin after pin, move after move, these superstars have the strength to kick out. There is no doubting there will and charisma.”

 

Delta pulled Kidd up and hit a measured punch and then a kick to the gut. Kidd bent over and received a knee to the neck, followed by a swinging neckbreaker. Delta hit a standing leg drop and locked in a Sharpshooter.

 

”Pure irony! Delta locking in a Sharpshooter on a graduate of the Hart Dungeon!”

 

Delta rolled over the Sharpshooter and turned it into a Figure Four. Delta then rolled forward and it began a Crucifix quickly. Dustin couldn’t make Tyson tap out, but he weakened him. Dustin pulled Kidd up and hit a Delta Bomb, sealing the victory.

 

Winner [still United States Champion]: Dustin Delta

 

"Not a bad way to kick off the show, if you ask me. Both Delta and Kidd brought their "A Game" tonight."

 

"No doubt about it, and as a result of this victory, the WWE United States Championship is moving to Raw with Dustin Delta."

 

"Delta living true to his statement to defeat Tyson Kidd. Will we see the same result in the other Championship Matches tonight, or will new Champions be crowned?"

 

"We've still got a big night ahead of us. Six more matches are scheduled to take place tonight, two of which are Championship Matches. But this next match is one that was made this past Friday Night on Smackdown when Randy Orton was confronted by Zack Ryder. Let's take a look."

The Legend Killer enters the arena to major heat. He walks to the ring slowly and with a lack of emotion. He is dressed in a black t-shirt and dark blue jeans. The crowd boos as he walks to the ring, but he just ignores it.

 

"The viper-like Randy Orton was Drafted here to Smackdown just a couple of weeks ago, and tonight he'll wrestle his first match since doing so. Randy Orton has a reputation of ending careers, or nearly ending careers. He's done both numberous times."

 

"That vicious Punt of Orton's that we've seen many times has put a lot of guys on the shelf. One's gotta wonder if we'll see things like that happen on Smackdown."

 

"And as we learned earlier tonight, Randy Orton is scheduled to face CM Punk later on tonight in what I'm sure will be a good match."

 

Orton gets a microphone.

 

"I don't know who Vickie Guerrero thinks she is. I am the highlight of this show! People buy tickets to see me compete!" The crowd shows their disapproval of Orton's comments with more boos, which he promptly ignores and resumes speaking. "I arrive here at the arena tonight to find out that I'm scheduled to face CM Punk, a man that doesn't even deserve to be the WWE Champion." Boos and some "CM Punk" chants fill the arena. Orton seems a bit annoyed by them. "You can cheer CM Punk all you want! You can boo me all you want! It doesn't change the fact that I am the best superstar on Smackdown. H*ll, I'm the best superstar in this business. You don't have to like me, but you do have to respect me. I defeated Shawn Michaels at..." "You suck" chants fill the arena, interrupting Orton, and he stops speaking for a moment. "I defeated Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 25 in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. Who else can say they've done that? No one. Exactly. I am a Legendary superstar, and I refuse to compete here on Smackdown until I am placed in a Championship Match! I demand that I am shown respect, and until that happens, you won't be seeing me compete." The crowd begins to cheer. "You're all happy about it now, but in a week or two, you'll come to realize that this show is nothing without me. This of course, excludes the Tri-Branded Battle Royal on Sunday. I plan to win that match and become the WWE Champion at Judgment Day. By the end of the night on Sunday, I will be the Official Number One Contender for the WWE Title. If CM Punk wants to face me, he can wait until Judgment Day. Provided he retains the Title."

 

 

Zack Ryder enters the arena to a major pop and a look of disgust appears on Randy Orton's face. Ryder walks to each end of the stage and taunts for the fans, who respond with huge pops.

 

"I'm not sure what Zack Ryder's doing out here, but one thing's for sure; Randy Orton sure as h*ll isn't happy about it."

 

"Is Randy Orton ever happy about anything, J.R.?"

 

"Good point."

 

Ryder begins to make his way to the ring, high-fiving some fans along the way. He enters the ring and gets a microphone before getting right in Orton's face.

 

"What, WHAT the h*ll are you doing out here?" Orton asks angrily.

 

"What am I doing out here? The irony here is funny, Orton. You're obviously angry about me interrupting you, and all eighteen-thousand, two hundred and twenty-five people in this arena are angry about you coming out here and rambling on about foolishness!" Another major, and I mean major, pop for Ryder as Orton starts to show signs of anger.

 

"Who do you think you are? Before you were Drafted to ECW, you were an umimportant, crap wrestler, who hadn't won a match in who knows how long? Now you seem to think that you have what it takes to make it in the big leagues. Well I've got some news for you, Ryder. You don't. Go back to your little low-card wrestling crap." "You suck" chants - directed at Orton - begin to fill the arena.

 

"Randy, you're just angry because you haven't held a Championship Belt in almost a year. You take out your anger on people by cheapshotting or blindsiding them, and you feel proud because of it. I may not be the best, or anywhere near the best for that matter, but when I step into the ring, I fight like a man, not a coward."

 

Orton tries to hit Ryder with a Right Hand, but Ryder ducks it - expecting it - and hits Orton with a Right Hand of his own. Orton falls to the mat and Ryder picks him up. He goes for an STO, but Orton blocks it and slides out of the ring. He slams the ring apron angrily before turning around to walk up the ramp.

The crowd goes absolutely nuts as The Chairman of the Board steps out onto the stage. Orton's eyes widen in surprise/disbelief.

 

"Randy Orton, hold on just a second! Now I know it's been a while since I've been here on Smackdown, but I'm not going to get this year started with an overconfident, egotistical superstar like yourself refusing to compete. Randy, you say you won't compete until you get a Championship Match? Well I beg to differ." The crowd cheers. "If you don't want to face CM Punk tonight, then that's fine, but you will be competing at Backlash!" More cheers. "And I don't mean the Tri-Branded Battle Royal Match! At Backlash, you're going to go one-on-one with that man--Zack Ryder!" Ryder smiles and the fans pop. Orton yells angrily. "And the winner of that match will be allowed to compete in the Tri-Branded Battle Royal! The loser of that match, will not!"

 

Mr. McMahon exits the arena as Orton walks angrily to the back.

 

"What an announcement! Randy Orton will go one-on-one with Zack Ryder at Backlash, and whoever loses will be out of the Tri-Branded Battle Royal!"

 

"Man, Orton is furious!"[/align]

 

"Zack Ryder is certainly stepping up to the plate since being Drafted to ECW. I mean, he did lose a match to Edge this past Tuesday on ECW, but it was only after Edge hit him with Intercontinental Championship Belt."

 

"I've always been impressed with Zack Ryder's abilities, and it seems that now he's managed to get the fans behind him as well."

 

"Now remember, whoever loses this match is out of the Tri-Branded Battle Royal Match. Both of these men want to win it, but only one of them can."

 

Randy Orton theme

 

Dark red lights flash throughout the arena, with a few spotlights on the ceiling shining slightly brighter red lights. The Legend Killer steps into the arena sporting his usual black "Orton" wrestling tights. As he walks to the ring, emotionless, the crowd starts to boo. Orton ignores it though, and focuses on the fact that he needs to win this match in order to participate in the Battle Royal Match.

 

"Randy Orton said this past Friday on Smackdown that he refused to compete unless it was in a Championship Match, and that the 21-Man Tri-Branded Battle Royal was the only exception. Mr. McMahon had other plans, though, and informed Orton that he would be facing Zack Ryder right here tonight."

 

"Zack Ryder's talented, but can he defeat The Legend Killer? I'm not so sure he's ready for that yet."

 

 

The crowd waits in anticipation as Orton stands in the ring and his music stops playing. Ryder's music hits--and the crowd jumps out of their seats! The new ECW Fan Favorite bursts into the arena and the crowd responds with a major pop! Ryder is wearing the red wrestling tights that he "debuted" a couple of weeks ago on ECW. He walks to the ring, smiling, and high-fives a bunch of fans along the way. He steps into the ring and his music stops. He and Orton stare at each other and the crowd begins to chant "Orton sucks!".

 

"The crowd is definitely behind Zack Ryder, but like Matt said, can Ryder defeat Orton?"

 

"It is possible, but it's definitely not going to be easy. If Ryder has any hope of winning this thing, he's going to need to stay one step ahead of Orton during the entire match."

 

Second Match: Randy Orton vs. Zack Ryder

 

Match: The two stand face-to-face as the Referee signals for the bell. Orton slaps Ryder in a show of disgust. Ryder falls backwards, landing on one knee. Orton quickly keeps the advantage by kicking Ryder in the head. The Legend Killer pulls Ryder to the center of the ring and drops an elbow. Cover by Orton! 1! 2! Ryder kicks out. Orton remains calm and applies a Reverse Headlock. Ryder shows signs of pain as he sits in the center of the ring, searching for a way to escape the hold. "Let's go Ryder

!" chants begin to fill the arena, but they're of no use as Orton applies pressure to the hold. Ryder starts to get to his feet, managing to get back to one knee. He elbows Orton in the chest, and Orton breaks the hold. Orton quickly reapplies the hold, and Ryder - not wanting to deal with that again - runs backwards, slamming Orton into the turnbuckle, and the hold is broken once again.

 

"Impressive display of strength on behalf of Zack Ryder. He needs to stay on Orton now, though. Giving him time to recover isn't a good thing. Especially taking into consideration the fact that Ryder's at a disadvantage to begin with."

 

"Zack Ryder definitely has the determination to win this match, but that may not be enough."

 

Ryder "stomps a mudhole" on Orton in the corner, and the Referee orders him to back up. Orton wipes his hand across his face and uses the ropes to pull himself up. Ryder goes for a Corner Clothesline, but Orton dodges it, causing Ryder to run into the turnbuckle. Orton quickly takes advantage and begins hammering away at Ryder in the corner. The Referee instructs Orton to move this time, and The Legend Killer reluctantly obeys. Orton argues with the Referee for a moment. The crowd begins to cheer as Ryder runs out of the corner and takes Orton to the mat with a Spear. Ryder beings blasting Orton with Right Hands to the face and the Referee tells him that he'll be disqualified if he doesn't break it up. With this in mind, Ryder backs off. He hits a Standing Leg Drop on Orton and tries for the second cover of the match-up, but only gets a two count. Ryder gets Orton to his feet. Orton hits a surprise European Uppercut and Ryder leans into the ropes. Orton attempts to Clothesline Ryder out of the ring, but - as the fans go wild - Ryder elevates Orton over his shoulders and to the floor below.

 

"Wow! Did you see the elevation on that throw? Orton could be out!"

 

"I don't think Orton expected that, and for Ryder it was probably done out of desperation!"

 

"1!" "2!" "3!" "4!" The Referee begins to count Orton out. The crowd counts along with him in excitement, hoping that The Legend Killer will be unable to answer the ten count. "5!" Orton gets to his feet, slowly. He rolls into the ring. Ryder pulls him toward the center and goes for a cover! 1! 2! Orton kicks out. Orton gets to his feet. Ryder hits Orton with a Right Hand and Orton stumbles backwards. Ryder goes for a Clothesline, but Orton ducks it an hits an Inverted Backbreaker. The crowd boos as Orton smiles. He drops to the ground and begins to size up his opponent, poised to strike with an RKO.

 

"That Backbreaker may have spelled the end for Zack Ryder."

 

"The viper-like Randy Orton is ready to strike, and if he hits that RKO, this match is over!"

 

"Orton sucks!"chants start once again as Ryder - dazed - gets to his feet. RKO! Orton connects with it! Hooks the legs! 1! 2! 3! Orton wins and the crowd boos immensely.

 

Winner: Randy Orton

 

"Orton wins, but Zack Ryder put forth an extremely valiant effort. You can't blame the kid for losing."

 

"Definitely not. Zack Ryder went toe-to-toe with Randy Orton, and he came close to winning the match."

 

"What? What's Orton doing?"

 

The boos grow louder as Orton - smiling - backs up toward the corner. Ryder's out, and Orton's about to Punt him.

 

"Come on the d*mn match is over!"

 

"This isn't good for Zack Ryder!"

 

Orton starts to run...wait! It's Ted DiBiase! DiBiase grabs Orton's legs, trips him, and pulls him out of the ring. The crowd goes nuts as DiBiase hammers at Orton with Rights and Lefts, completely taking the fight to The Legend Killer.

 

"That's Ted DiBiase! We haven't seen him since he was found unconscious weeks ago on ECW!"

 

"What's DiBiase doing out here?"

 

"I don't know, but it's a good thing he came out when he did!"

 

DiBiase grabs Orton's head and slams it into the steel ring steps. He does it again. And one more time for good measure. He throws Orton head-first into the security barrier and begins stomping his chest. The crowd's cheers get louder and louder as DiBiase continues to attack Orton. He walks over to the ring apron and lifts it up. After a moment of looking under the ring, DiBiase pulls out a trash can. Orton gets to his feet and DiBiase smashes him over the head with it, causing Orton to flip backwards over the security barrier and into the crowd.

 

"Ted DiBiase has just completely destroyed Randy Orton! I don't believe this!"

 

"Randy Orton is out! It's as simple as that! I doubt Orton will even be able to compete in the Tri-Branded Battle Royal at this rate!"

The crowd boos as Chris Jericho walks out onto the stage, wearing a new pair trunks, black with binary-code in bold white. Jericho walks down the ramp, receiving - surprisingly - some boos from the crowd. It's obvious that while the fans like Jericho, they're hoping for an Undertaker victory tonight.

 

"Chris Jericho has been on a mission to regain the ECW Championship ever since he lost it to The Undertaker at Wrestlemania, and in order to continue that mission, he has to defeat The Deadman tonight."

 

"As we know, Chris Jericho was Drafted to Friday Night Smackdown, so this is his last chance to get an ECW Championship Match."

 

Lillian Garcia: And introducing the opponent… Weighing in at three hundred and five pounds! TTHEEE DEEEADDMAANN! TTTHEEEE UUUNNNDEEEERRRTAAAKKKEEERRR!

 

Jericho waits - and nothing. He yells at Lillian to do something - she just shrugs. DDONNGG! The lights go out as the crowd gives a loud pop, jumping to their feet. Cheering for the one and only, Undertaker! DDONNGG! The fire hits on the stage as the dark mist fills the arena.

 

 

"The Undertaker has held many Championships in this business. He is the most feared man in the industry, and there is no man that enjoys having to step into the ring with this guy."

 

"I wouldn't either. It's not often The Undertaker loses a match, and when he does, it's usually due to interference or something of the sort."

 

Undertaker walks out, causing the crowd to pop again! Taker slowly moves down the ramp, glaring at Jericho. Takers coat slowly blows behind him, as Taker keeps his face hidden by his black hat. Once Taker reaches the stairs, he climbs them, and raises his arms, causing lightning to strike the turnbuckle in front of him, causing Jericho to climb out of the ring. The light come back on, as Taker climbs into the ring. He takes his jacket off and throws it to the outside mat. Taker moves to the turnbuckle and climbs it front of Jericho. He lowers his head, removes his hat, and rolls it eyes into his head, more lightning strikes around the arena, Jericho runs around, panicking. Taker steps down and moves back to his own corner. Jericho slowly gets back into the ring. DING, DING!

 

The match is now officially underway. Both men stare at each other from across the ring. They both circle each other. They both attempt to grab each other, but not succeeding. Taker moves towards Jericho, who slides out of the ring. Taker backs up as the referee yells at Jericho to climb into the ring. Jericho yells at Taker to come out, which he does. Jericho runs around to the other side before climbing in the ring. Taker looks at him as he climbs up the stairs. But before he can get in, Jericho dropkicks Taker’s shin! Taker hits the mat, having his head bounce off the apron! Taker - who is dazed - grabs hold of the apron as he stumble. Jericho climbs out behind him, taking his head, and smashing it into the apron. Taker turns around, dazed, but strikes Jericho hard in the head! The crowd pops. Jericho stumbles back, as Taker moves forward. Jericho kicks Taker in the gut, as Jericho takes Takers head, and smashes it into the ring-post. “5… 6…” Jericho kicks Taker in the head, causing him to fall to the mat. Jericho breaks the count. Jericho grabs Taker and throws him into the barricade. Jericho elbows him in the head, causing him to move down the barricade. Jericho runs and hits a forearm from behind! Taker falls to the mat, once again. Jericho moves around Taker and kicks him in the head again. Jericho grabs Taker, lifting him, and Irish Whips him into the stairs - WAIT! Taker overpowers Jericho and tosses him into the steps instead! Both men are down!

Taker slowly gets up, breaks the count, and punches Jericho - who is just getting up - in the face, sending back to the mat. Jericho holds the apron, recovering. Jericho slowly gets up and his hit with a strong left-hand, causing him to fall back into the barricade. Taker grabs Jericho’s head and smashes it into the steel stairs which have fallen. Jericho lies in pain, holding his head. “5… 6…” Taker breaks the count again. Taker grabs Jericho’s head, lifting him. Jericho punches Taker in the gut, but Taker recovers fast with a strong headbutt. Jericho falls back to the mat. Taker lifts him again, throwing him into the ring, but pulling his head out. Taker climbs the apron, DROPING HIS LEG! Jericho writhers in pain. Taker grabs his head, pulling it out again, and hits a BIG BOOT to the temple! Jericho rolls into the ring, holding his head! Taker rolls into the ring and goes for the pin. “1…” before Jericho kicks out. Taker lifts Jericho, and hits a strong elbow. Taker falls back into the turnbuckle. Taker locks Jericho’s arms in the ropes. Taker begins punching Jericho’s body, as he yells in pain. Taker punches Jericho hard in the face, causing the yells to stop. Taker continues to strike for several moments. Taker runs back, runs to Jericho, and hits the BODY SPLASH! Taker hits it again! Jericho’s arms become free and Taker lifts him into a snake-eyes. Taker runs back, hitting a BIG BOOT! Jericho falls to the mat. Taker runs to the ropes and back, jumping, Jericho moves! Taker hits the Leg Drop on the mat! Jericho stumbles back, before running and hitting a sliding dropkick to the face! Taker falls back. Jericho recovers in the corner. Finally, after Taker gets up, Jericho runs and begins punching him hard! Jericho grabs Taker and tosses him to the ropes. Taker rebounds and is hit by a strong elbow. Taker falls to the mat. Pin! “1… 2!” Taker kicks out. Jericho gets up and begins yelling at Taker. Jericho lifts Taker, tossing him into the turnbuckle. Jericho runs and hits a clothesline! Taker stumbles out as Jericho runs to the ropes, hitting a one-handed BULLDOG! Taker is on the mat! Another pin from Jericho! “1… 2”

Taker kicks out again! The crowd cheers. Jericho stands and begins stomping on Taker’s back. Jericho tosses Taker to the ropes, runs, jumps, and CLOTHESLINE TAKER OVER THE ROPE! Jericho falls out with him, both men hitting the mat. Jericho gets up first, lifting Taker, and smashing his head into the table. Jericho dropkicks Taker back into the barricade and falls to the mat. “5… 6…” Jericho walks over and kicks Takers face, before running and sliding into the ring. “7… 8…” Taker slowly gets up, getting up on the apron “9…” Jericho runs, jumps to the ropes to the side of Taker, kicks off the mid-rope, and lands a triangle-kick on Taker, knocking him to the mat! But re-starting the count. Taker slowly gets up, as Jericho runs and goes for the SUICIDE DIVE! But Taker hits the BIG BOOT in mid-air! Knocking him down. Taker falls back, but catches the barricade. Taker grabs Jericho and slams his head into the stairs. Jericho rolls into the ring, so does Taker. Jericho runs and hits a forearm on Taker, hitting him to the mat. Jericho climbs to the top-rope, Taker fumbles to get up, back to Jericho, Jericho leaps! Connecting with the FOREARM TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD! Knocking Taker down! “1… 2...” Taker kicks out at the last second! Jericho can’t believe it. Jericho runs to the ropes, leaps of the mid-rope, MISSING THE LIONSAULT, as Taker rolls out of the way. Jericho lies on the mat in pain. Taker slowly gets up, via the turnbuckle. Taker throws his hand out, getting ready! The crowd pops! Jericho slowly gets up, turns, gets CAUGHT AROUND THE THROAT! Taker gives him the stare! Taker throws Jericho into the air, JERICHO HITS THE ENZUIGURI! Jericho lands on his hands and knees as Taker falls motionless. Jericho goes for another pin!

Jericho grabs Takers head, yelling at him. Jericho whips him to the ropes, but Taker rebounds and hits a FLYING CLOTHESLINE! Both men are down! The count begins! “1… 2… 3… 4... 5… 6… 7… 8… 9” Right at nine, Taker SITS UP! Taker stands, breaking the count. Taker watches Jericho stir on the ground. Taker grabs Jericho, head butting him, but holding him up. Taker grabs Jericho’s arm, and begins hitting shoulder-thrusts. Next, twisting the arm and hitting it with his elbow. Taker walks back and climbs the turnbuckle with Jericho’s arm. Taker walks the ropes, jumps, and CONNECTS WITH OLD SCHOOL! Taker goes for the pin! “1… 2…” Jericho kicks out! The crowd boos heavily. Taker stands, runs to the ropes, rebounds, and hits the LEG DROP! Another pin! “1… 2…” kick out! More boos! Taker grabs Jericho and punches him back to the mat. Taker grabs Jericho again and lifts him, Taker lifts Jericho on his shoulder, and hits a front slam! Taker steps back, hand in the air! Jericho slowly gets up, turns, and is caught by the throat again! He’s lifted into the air - BUT WAIT! JERICHO CATCHES TAKERS HEADING BRING IT DOWN WITH HIM! CODEBREAKER! CODEBREAKER! It’s over!

SHOULDER-OUT! The crowd creates a huge pop! Jericho yells at the ref in disbelief that he only got a two. Jericho runs to the ropes, BUT MISSES THE LIONSAULT! Jericho slowly rises, Taker stands behind him! Hand in the air! CAUGHT BY THE THROAT! CHOKESLAM! The height on that chokeslam was incredible! Taker moves his thumb across his neck, signaling for a Tombstone Piledriver. Jericho gets to his feet and turns right into it! TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER!

 

"Tomb! Stone! Piledriver! It's over!"

 

The Deadman folds Jericho's arms over his chest and sticks his tongue out. 1! 2! 3!

 

Winner: The Undertaker

 

The crowd stands, cheering. The arena darkens as the lights are changed to a dark purple color and smoke begins to fill the arena. The Deadman goes down to one knee and raises his arm in the air, sticking his tongue out before looking up to the sky.

 

"What a match. I was definitely not disappointed here. This one was just as good as their awesome Wrestlemania 25 encounter!"

 

"Chris Jericho was - without a doubt - a challenge for The Phenom. But it wasn't enough to give him the victory. If I was Jack Swagger, I'd be a bit worried right now."

 

"A big victory for The Undertaker, who will now go to Judgment Day to face The All-Amercian Amercian Jack Swagger for the ECW Championship."

 

"Momentarily we're going to witness another big match when Devon Immortal takes on Batista, but first, let's take you backstage with Todd Grisham, who is standing by with the WWE Champion, CM Punk."

 

We go to the back and Todd Grisham is standing with CM Punk. Punk is dressed in street clothes, as his match isn't scheduled to take place for another hour or so. The WWE Championship rests over his shoulder. He smiles as the fans can be heard cheering in the background.

 

"Please welcome my guest at this time--CM Punk!" The crowd responds with a huge pop and Todd resumes talking. "Now Punk, later tonight, you're going to defend the WWE Championship in what many people are saying will be the biggest match of your career." Todd pauses for a moment. "Over the years, many people have fallen at the hands of Triple H, and you yourself did so just two weeks ago on Smackdown when Cody Rhodes, Curt Hawkins, and Triple H attacked you. Are you worried about this match tonight?"

 

"You know somethin, Todd? People have told me many times that they don't think I'm fit to be the WWE Champion." Boos from the crowd. "They don't think that I have what it takes. Well, I defeated John Cena at Wrestlemania 25 to retain the Belt, and there were still people that weren't convinced." More boos. "Triple H is an icon in the business; he's held the World Title twelve times, and there aren't many people that can hold a candle to his in-ring ability. But there's something I have that Triple H doesn't have. And that's the drive to prove people wrong. You see, I want to go out to that ring tonight and prove to everyone that said I won't make a good Champion..." Punk smiles. "...that I can be just as good of a Champion as anyone else. And if Triple H thinks I've forgotten about his little attack a couple of weeks ago on Smackdown, I haven't. Game, I want you give me all you've got tonight!" Major pop from the crowd. "And when all is said and done, I will walk out of Unforgiven--still the WWE Champion!" The crowd is excited! "CM Punk" chants fill the arena as the WWE Champion walks away.

 

"CM Punk is confident. He plans to defeat The Game! But can he do it? We're gonna find out later tonight!"

 

"So many intense rivalries are going to come to an end tonight, but perhaps none moreso than this one!"

 

Devon Immortal theme

 

Devon entered the arena, with a confident look on his face. He was very serious, though. He quickly walked down the ramp and slid into the ring. He didn't go through his usual entrance sequence. He just turned to the TitanTron, awaiting the entrance of his opponent.

 

"Guys, you have to admit the deck seems to be stacked against Devon Immortal."

 

"Don't count Immortal out. He's a former World Champion."

 

Batista theme

 

The crowd went wild, a huge pop for Dave Batista. He walked onto the stage, grinning. He beat his chest and instead of going in a turret-like motion with the pyro he made a motion as if he was firing a shotgun at Immortal. Devon wasn't immused. Batista stepped into the ring and onto the turnbuckle. He beat his chest again and flexed. He stepped down and turned to Immortal.

 

Match: Devon Immortal vs. Batista

 

As the bell rang, Immortal and Batista locked up. They struggled with eachother but Batista was the stronger man, hitting a hip toss.Batista stomped on Immortal afew times and pulled him up. He hit a measured punch, followed by two more right hands to the skull of the former champion. Batista ran back and rebounded off the ropes and took Immortal down with a double axe handle. He pulled Immortal up and took him down with a headbutt.

 

"Batista is in complete control."

 

"Knowing these superstars, this match could last another hour, or a second.."

 

Batista taunted. He turned back to Devon, who was standing. They locked up, but Immortal came out on top, with a facebuster. Immortal jumped to the turnbuckle and hit a Superstar Splash. He pinned, Dave, who kicked out quickly. Devon delivered a barrage of kicks to the side of The Animal. He climbed the ropes again and hit an elbow drop. Immortal locked in an ankle lock, and turned it into a knee smash. Immortal pulled Batista up and hit a suplex, followed by a powerbomb. Immortal pinned Batista, who kicked out at two.

 

"Here comes the former champ, Devon Immortal with an amazing comeback."

 

Immortal shook his head and slid out of the ring. He paced for a moment and then slid back into the ring. Devon pulled The Animal up and put him in a suplex clutch. He stepped back to the ropes and jumped back onto them and released Batista, who flew back out of the ring. Devon dove out, but Batista rolled away.

 

"What the h*ll just happened?"

 

"I don't know, but it was very impressive."

 

"I'm in shock Batista could even move after a suplex like that."

 

Batista stood and pulled Immortal up. He pulled Imortal up and powerslammed him into the wall by the fans. He pulled Devon up again and dropped him into a snake eyes. Batista rolled back into the ring at the four count. Devon lay motionless as the referee reached the five count.

 

"6!"

 

"7!"

 

Devon began to stand at the eight count. He was dazed. He turned around and gained control at the nine count. He slid in just before the 10 count hit. He was safe from the count out, but not from Batista. Batista hit a Batista Bomb, which went right into a pin. Devon rolled forward at two into a rollup, and Batista can't kick out.

 

Winner: Devon Immortal

 

Batista lays in shock as the referee holds up Immortal's arm. Devon releases the grip and rolls out of the ring. He grabs a steel chair and rolls back in.

 

"C'mon, Devon! Don't do this!"

 

Batista goes for a Spear, but Immortal dodges it. He blasts Batista with the chair as The Animal turns around. Immortal hits Batista in the knee area of his right knee seven times. He places the chair under Batista's leg. Immortal slides out of the ring and gets another chair. He hits a One-Man Con-Chair-To on Batista's leg as the crowd boos. Batista grabbed his leg and shook, as if suffering a seizure. As medical staff came to check on him, Immortal left the arena, victorious.

 

"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the General Manager of Raw, Chandler Emerald!"

 

The crowd pops as Justin Roberts exits the ring and Chandler Emerald - who is already in the ring - stands there with a microphone.

 

"Good evening, everybody. I've requested this time to make an announcement that is going to change the face of World Wrestling Entertainment." Cheers from the crowd. "Now unfortunately, this announcement is very hard for me to make. At a recent live event, I competed in a match during which I broke multiple discs in my neck. Due to this, I am forced to resign as the General Manager of Raw to undergo immediate surgery." The crowd boos in disappointment. Emerald looks around, upset about it himself, but knows there's nothing he can do about it. "However, I was allowed to hand pick a new General Manager for Monday Night Raw!" This gets a small amount of cheers, but not many. "I am confident that he will make Raw even more exciting than I did. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the new General Manager of Monday Night Raw...Mick Foley!"

 

"Mick?! What?!"

 

"No way! You've gotta be kidding me!"

 

The crowd begins to cheer wildly, but nothing happens. Emerald turns his attention toward the TitanTron in slight confusion.

 

Mick Foley theme

 

Foley's music hits...and wow! The entire crowd leaps to their feet and cheer wildly as Mrs. Foley's Baby Boy enters the arena with a smile on his face!

 

"It is! It's Mick Foley!"

 

"I don't believe it!"

 

"I can't believe this! Mick Foley has returned and he's now the General Manager of Monday Night Raw!"

 

Foley high-fives a bunch of fans before entering the ring. He shakes Emerald's hand, and Emerald gives him the microphone. Emerald leaves the ring and walks to the back, high-fiving a couple of fans along the way. Foley walks to the turnbuckles, climbs them, and taunts for the crowd, who continues to cheer him.

 

"Well I...I gotta be honest..." He stops talking as "Foley" chants begin to fill the arena. A bright smile lines Foley's face as he looks around the arena, taking in the excitement of the crowd that he hasn't experienced for around a year. "Thank you...thank you. I gotta be honest, I never thought it could feel so good to be back!" The crowd pops again and more "Foley" chants fill the arena. "It's been nearly a year since I've been back, and it seems that Raw has gone to h*ll in the ratings, if you will. That's why when Chandler Emerald asked me to replace him, I accepted without question. I plan to make Raw the best brand, and make it a show that each and every member of the WWE Universe will enjoy! Now I have many plans for Raw, but I don't plan on bringing them all up tonight. I'll wait until tomorrow night on Raw when I have my first Official Night as Raw General Manager!" "Foley" chants fill the arena again. "So tonight, enjoy the rest of the show, and be sure to tune in to Monday Night Raw tomorrow night!"

 

"What a shocking announcement! Mick Foley makes his return to the WWE after nearly a year...and he's the General Manager of Raw!"

 

"Monday Nights will never be the same again!"

"Well, speaking of never being the same again, one Superstar's career will never be the same again after this match!"

 

"That's right! Whoever wins this Battle Royal will become the Number One Contender for the World Championship on their respective brand!"

 

"Earlier tonight, Randy Orton and Zack Ryder battled it out to see which one of them would keep their spot in the match! Let's take a look back!"

 

Ryder hits Orton with a Right Hand and Orton stumbles backwards. Ryder goes for a Clothesline, but Orton ducks it an hits an Inverted Backbreaker. The crowd boos as Orton smiles. He drops to the ground and begins to size up his opponent, poised to strike with an RKO.

 

"That Backbreaker may have spelled the end for Zack Ryder."

 

"The viper-like Randy Orton is ready to strike, and if he hits that RKO, this match is over!"

 

"Orton sucks!"chants start once again as Ryder - dazed - gets to his feet. RKO! Orton connects with it! Hooks the legs! 1! 2! 3! Orton wins and the crowd boos immensely.

 

Winner: Randy Orton

 

"Orton wins, but Zack Ryder put forth an extremely valiant effort. You can't blame the kid for losing."

 

"Definitely not. Zack Ryder went toe-to-toe with Randy Orton, and he came close to winning the match."

 

"What? What's Orton doing?"

 

The boos grow louder as Orton - smiling - backs up toward the corner. Ryder's out, and Orton's about to Punt him.

 

"Come on the d*mn match is over!"

 

"This isn't good for Zack Ryder!"

 

Orton starts to run...wait! It's Ted DiBiase! DiBiase grabs Orton's legs, trips him, and pulls him out of the ring. The crowd goes nuts as DiBiase hammers at Orton with Rights and Lefts, completely taking the fight to The Legend Killer.

 

"That's Ted DiBiase! We haven't seen him since he was found unconscious weeks ago on ECW!"

 

"What's DiBiase doing out here?"

 

"I don't know, but it's a good thing he came out when he did!"

 

DiBiase grabs Orton's head and slams it into the steel ring steps. He does it again. And one more time for good measure. He throws Orton head-first into the security barrier and begins stomping his chest. The crowd's cheers get louder and louder as DiBiase continues to attack Orton. He walks over to the ring apron and lifts it up. After a moment of looking under the ring, DiBiase pulls out a trash can. Orton gets to his feet and DiBiase smashes him over the head with it, causing Orton to flip backwards over the security barrier and into the crowd.

 

"Ted DiBiase has just completely destroyed Randy Orton! I don't believe this!"

 

"Randy Orton is out! It's as simple as that! I doubt Orton will even be able to compete in the Tri-Branded Battle Royal at this rate!"

 

"A surprising return from Ted DiBiase saved Zack Ryder from a vicious Punt, and may have taken Orton out of the Battle Royal."

 

"Now we don't know what Ted DiBiase wants with Orton, but we do know that whatever it is, Orton might want to watch out."

 

"Ted DiBiase absolutely destroyed Randy Orton earlier tonight."

 

Seventeen superstars stand in the ring, having entered while the Recap was shown. They're all facing the TitanTron, waiting for the final three superstars to make their entrances.

 

Vladimir Kozlov theme

 

"Pain" plays throughout the arena as The Moscow Mauler steps on the stage. There is a look of determination in his eyes as he walks to the ring, getting heavily booed by the crowd.

 

"The Moscow Mauler would like to win this match and become the WWE Champion. He believes it's his time to shine, and quite honestly, I think it's more than possible for Kozlov to win this match."

 

John Cena theme

 

ABUNDOOOOOO! The Chain Gang Soldier bursts into the arena and raises his arms in the air on the stage, extending his thumb and pinky finger on both hands. The crowd goes nuts, cheering for the former WWE Champion, as he makes his way to the ring. He stops to throw his hat into the crowd, along with his t-shirt, while the fans scream.

 

"Speaking of a man who believes it's his time! John Cena was close to capturing the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania, and maybe Judgment Day will be the day he finally wins the gold again!"

 

"As we know, John Cena wants to fight Triple H. He made it very clear. Cena doesn't approve of The Game's actions, and he hopes that The Game wins tonight so the two can face-off at Judgment Day. But in order for that to happen, Cena has to win this Battle Royal as well."

 

 

STAND BACK! THERE'S A HURRICANE COMIN THROUGH! Smackdown's friendly neighboorhood superhero enters the arena to a major pop. Fresh off a pinfall victory over Triple H just two weeks ago on Smackdown, The Hurricane looks to win this Battle Royal tonight in what would be a major upset.

 

"Listen to that ovation for this kid! The Hurricane defeated Triple H just two weeks ago on Smackdown in what is probably the biggest victory of his career!"

 

"I watched the match, and I was in disbelief at the result. Imagine what would happen if The Hurricane won this thing tonight?"

 

Wait a minute! Chris Jericho runs down the ramp and blasts The Hurricane right in the back with a chair. The fans boo as the chair shot is heard all over the arena.

 

"What in the h*ll?"

 

"Chris Jericho just took out The Hurricane with that chair."

 

Jericho throws The Hurricane into the ring steps and the crowd boos louder. He doesn't care, though. Jericho enters the ring and yells "I'm takin his place!".

 

"Apparently Chris Jericho is going to wrestle in place of The Hurricane."

 

"But I don't understand. Why did Jericho attack The Hurricane?"

 

"It's dispicable, but it's obvious that Jericho wanted Hurricane's spot in this Battle Royal after losing to The Undertaker earlier tonight."

 

Only one entrant left.

 

"Ladies and gentlemen, I have just been informed that Randy Orton will not be able to compete in this match!" The crowd cheers wildly.

 

"Well I guess that means it's gonna be a 20-Man Battle Royal instead!"

 

"Ted DiBiase's attack took Orton out of this matchup."

Match: The bell rings and the crowd begins to scream in excitement of this huge matchup. All twenty superstars begin to brawl inside the ring as the fans cheer. Mond Black starts things off with R Truth, and the two exchange blows. Black goes for a Clothesline, but R Truth ducks it and hits a Spinning Hook Kick, taking Black down to some cheers. Truth turns around and is hit right in the face by a Big Boot from Ezekiel Jackson. Jackson hits Truth with a powerful Chokeslam and eliminates him.

 

"Goodbye R Truth! A pretty quick elimination if you ask me."

 

JTG runs toward Ezekiel Jackson, but Jackson grabs him and - because of the fact that he was already running - easily throws him over the top rope. The Miz hits Evan Bourne with a Dropkick. The Miz drops a few elbows on Bourne before setting him up for the Reality Check. Miz off the ropes...SPEAR! Goldberg blasts Miz with a Spear! Goldberg turns around and gets hit with a Springboard Kick from John Morrison. Cena and Big Show battle. Cena hit Big Show with some Right Hands, and tries to take The World's Largest Athlete down with a Flying Shoulder Block, but to no avail. Cena tries another, and this time Show grabs him. Show goes for a Chokeslam, but Cena battles out of it. Cena hits Show with a DDT.

 

"An impressive counter on behalf of John Cena."

 

Ezekiel Jackson hits Goldberg with a Clothesline, taking Goldberg off his feet. Jackson picks Goldberg up and Irish Whips him into the corner. Jackson hits Goldberg in the corner with some Right Hands, but Finlay turns him around and drops him with a Suplex. Chris Jericho hits Finlay with a Codebreaker and throws him over the top rope. Jericho taunts as the crowd boos.

 

"Apparently it's not Finlay's night here."

 

Matt Hardy hits Big Show with a Forearm Smash, but it does nothing. Show blasts Hardy with a Right Hand. He picks Hardy up by his hair and throws him into the corner. Show hits Hardy with a slap to the chest that echoes throughout the arena. Shad runs toward Big Show, who moves out of the way, and Shad ends up hitting a Corner Clothesline on Matt Hardy. Show hits Shad with a Knockout Punch and eliminates him.

 

"That's four down so far. Both members of Cryme Tyme have been taken out of this thing."

 

Lord Smith slaps Cena and tells him to respect him. Cena looks away for a moment, smiles, and begins to hammer away at Smith with Right Hands to a huge pop. Cena hit Smith with a Shoulder Block...and another one! You Can't See Me! Cena off the ropes...Five Knuckle Shuffle connects! Smith gets to his feet...Protobomb! "Cena" chants begin to fill the arena! Cena goes for the F-U! Wait! Kozlov with a Battering Ram Headbutt to Cena! Cena falls down and drops Smith. Kozlov picks Cena up and throws him into the corner. Kozlov hits some Shoulder Thrusts followed by some Right Hands. Kozlov backs up and goes for a Corner Clothesline, but Cena moves! Cena gets Kozlov up for the F-U! He hits it!

 

"John Cena just hit that F-U on Vladimir Kozlov! Will The Moscow Mauler be eliminated?!"

 

Evan Bourne and Ren go for a Double Clothesline on Big Show, but he grabs them both by the throat and pushes them backwards over the top rope, eliminating them. Edge waits in the corner, letting the others fight. Goldberg hits a Jackhammer on Kendrick! Goldberg tries to eliminate Kendrick, but Ezekiel Jackson stops him. Jackson tries to Chokeslam Goldberg, but Goldberg kicks him in the chest! JACKHAMMER! to Ezekiel Jackson! "Gold-berg!" chants start to fill the arena. Matt Hardy hits a Twist of Fate on Mond Black and eliminates him quickly.

 

"Mond Black was Drafted to Raw in the Supplemental Draft, and it seems that he'll be making his Raw Debut tomorrow night without a victory here at Backlash."

 

John Morrison capitalizes on a distracted Hardy and hits him with the Moonlight Drive. Morrison eliminates Hardy, and Morrison's former Tag Team Partner, The Miz, quickly eliminates Morrison. The Shaman of Sexy stares at Miz with a look of disbelief as Miz gets back into the match. Striker Boyd hits Lord Smith with a Scoop Slam. He drops a knee to Smith's chest, followed by another, before pressing his knee against Smith's neck as the Royal Brawler cringes in pain.

 

"Striker Boyd is completely dominating Lord Smith. I wouldn't be surprised - quite frankly - if Boyd won this match."

 

Goldberg and Big Show stand face-to-face. The crowd cheers. Goldberg hits a Right Hand! Big Show hits one back! Goldberg with another! Big Show hits back! Goldberg with the Clothesline! Big Show stays on his feet! Goldberg with another! The World's Largest Athlete leans against the ropes! Goldberg looks to eliminate Show! Goldberg goes for the Clothesline! Wait! Big Show moves! Show grabs Goldberg's leg and flips him over! Goldberg is eliminated!

 

The Miz hits Boyd with a Right Hand. Miz runs Boyd into the corner before hitting him with some Right Hands. The crowd cheers, happy that Boyd is getting his a*s handed to him. Edge sets up Miz for a Spear...wait! Miz dodges it! Edge spears Boyd! Miz turns around...F-U!! "Cena" chants fill the arena! John Cena eliminates The Miz!

 

"The Miz is out of this thing! Better luck next time!"

 

We're down to Edge, Lord Smith, Ezekiel Jackson, Striker Boyd, Big Show, John Cena, The Brian Kendrick, and Vladimir Kozlov. Cena, Show, and Kozlov stand around Kendrick. Kendrick tries to negotiate with them, but to no avail. Cena hits Kendrick with a Right Hand, and he stumbles backwards. KNOCKOUT PUNCH! from Big Show! Kendrick collapses to the mat and Kozlov eliminates him. Striker Boyd hits a Snap DDT on Lord Smith. Kozlov hits Boyd with a Battering Ram Headbutt, taking the former WWE United States Champion down. Kozlov tries to throw Boyd over the top rope, but Boyd holds on. Big Show comes up from behind and eliminates Kozlov, but doesn't have a chance to eliminate Boyd as Ezekiel Jackson grabs him and tries to Chokeslam him. Show puts all his weight on the ground to prevent Jackson from lifting him. Jericho hits Jackson with a Low Blow and he lets go of his grip on Big Show. Show hits Jackson with a Chokeslam and eliminates him.

 

"Out goes Ezekiel! That means the only powerhouse left in this match is Big Show!"

 

Cena goes for a Forearm Smash on Boyd, and Boyd ducks it. Boyd hits him with a Reverse Neckbreaker and taunts as the crowd boos. Big Show hits an Oklahoma Slam on Jericho to a nice pop. Show turns around...SPEAR! Edge hits Big Show with the Spear! Edge waited for his opportunity, and he got it! Wait a sec! Lord Smith from behind! Smith throws Edge over the top rope!

 

"Lord Smith just eliminated Edge! Edge doesn't believe it! This crowd doesn't believe it! I don't believe it!"

 

Edge's eyes widen in disbelief as he realizes what's happened. The fans cheer as Edge walks to the back. Those cheers turn to boos as Boyd hits Smith with a Strikeout and eliminates him.

 

"We're down to four! It's Striker Boyd, John Cena, Big Show, and Chris Jericho! Who's going to win this?!"

 

All four competitors stand in opposite corners of the ring and stare at each other. There are only four competitors left, and victory is important to each of them. Cena, Boyd, and Jericho nod to each other as they realize that they need to work together to eliminate Big Show. Seconds later, the three run toward Big Show and begin to hit him with Right Hands. Jericho hits a Codebreaker! Boyd hits a Strikeout! Cena lifts up The World's Largest Athlete! F-U! The crowd cheers as the three work together and eliminate Big Show.

 

"They did it! Cena, Boyd, and Jericho managed to eliminate The World's Largest Athlete!"

 

Jericho, Boyd, and Cena face each other now. Cena runs toward Jericho and hits him with a Clothesline. Boyd tries to Suplex Cena, but Cena counters into a Suplex of his own. The crowd goes wild as Cena taunts. The crowd chants "Cena" again. Jericho elbows Cena in the face, sending Cena back a step. Jericho goes for a Clothesline but Cena lifts him up onto his shoulders for an F-U! Jericho slides off of Cena's shoulders and hits Cena with a Right Hand. Cena backs into the ropes and rebounds with a Flying Shoulder Block! Jericho gets up and Cena hits another one! Cena taunts "You Can't See Me!" again, but when he goes for the Five-Knuckle Shuffle, Boyd hits him with a Strikeout. The crowd gives Boyd major heat as he stands over a fallen Cena.

 

Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP) theme

 

MVP's theme hits and the crowd jumps to their feet. The Ballin' Superstar enters the arena, dressed in a black t-shirt and blue jeans. Boyd steps away from Cena - as Cena and Jericho are still on the ground - and turns his attention to MVP. Boyd leans up against the ropes and yells at MVP. The crowd cheers and MVP smiles. Wait! Cena eliminates Boyd!

 

"Good God! John Cena just eliminated Striker Boyd! Thanks to MVP, Striker Boyd is out of this match!"

 

Jericho slides out of the ring and gets a steel chair. Boyd yells at Cena from outside the ring, furious about the fact that he was eliminated. Cena goes to turn his attention back to Jericho and Jericho smashes the chair right over his head. Cena collapses to the mat.

 

"Chris Jericho with a steel chair to the head of John Cena! Did you hear that shot?!"

 

Jericho picks up an unconscious Cena and eliminates him.

 

Winner: Chris Jericho

 

The crowd boos as "Break the Walls Down" plays and Jericho taunts inside the ring.

 

"Jericho wins it!"

 

"Chris Jericho wasn't even supposed to be in this d*mn match!"

 

"Well, Jericho is the winner! He may have lost to The Undertaker earlier tonight, but now he's become the Number One Contender for the WWE Championship!"

"Will Jeff Hardy realize his dream tonight?!"

 

"Jeff Hardy couldn't get the job done at Wrestlemania 25, but maybe tonight will be a different story!"

 

Kane theme

 

BOOM! Fire shoots out of the ramp as The Big Red Machine enters the arena. There is a look of determination on his face as he walks to the ring, World Title over his shoulder. The fans cheer as he walks to the ring.

 

Jeff Hardy theme

 

The fans scream, leap, go wild as The Extreme Enigma enters the arena! Hardy knows it's his night, and he plans to leave with the World Heavyweight Championship! Hardy dances on the ramp, waving his arms, and pyro explodes on either side of him. He points up in the air and more pyro explodes. He high-fives a bunch of fans as he walks to the ring.

 

Sixth Match: Kane vs. Jeff Hardy [World Heavyweight Championship]

DING, DING. Kane and Hardy stare at each other from across the ring. Kane literally looks like a man-eater. Hardy looks somewhat cautious about this match.

 

“LET’S GO HARDY

LET’S GO HARDY

LET’S GO HARDY!”

 

Kane and Hardy begin circling each other, attempting to grab each other with no success. Finally, they meet in the middle, locked. Kane strikes a knee into Hardy’s sternum; Hardy falls to his knees by the rope. Kane moves towards him, lifting him by the head. Kane clotheslines Hardy right over the top-rope! So far, this match is very quick and exciting. Kane walks around the ring, and hops out of it. Hardy quickly slides back in. Kane walks to the apron – Hardy rebounds off the ropes, and DROPKICKS Kane back into the announcers table! Kane gets up, moves towards the ring, Hardy leaps over the top rope, hitting the vault – wait, KANE CAUGHT HIM! Kane holds Hardy in his arms sideways. Kane turns his waist, and swings Hardy hitting the SIDE-WALK SLAM! Kane slowly gets up and breaks the count at “4”. Kane grabs Hardy’s head, who is now back on his feet, and smashes it into the steel steps. Kane hits a strong Throat Thrust! Hardy falls to the ground, holding his throat. Kane lifts Hardy again, and Irish Whips him into the barricade.

 

Kane runs and clotheslines Hardy right overtop! The crowd screams as Hardy looks to be down. “3… 4…” Kane rolls in and out of the ring. Kane turns to the barricade, to see Hardy run off it, and hit the vault! Kane’s down! Hardy slowly gets up and jogs to Kane, sliding, hitting the knee into Kane’s temple. Hardy rolls into the ring. “3… 4… 5…” Kane finally makes it to his feet. Hardy attempts a dropkick again, but Kane catches his legs, and pulls him right out of the ring in an Alley-Oop! Hardy hits the floor and holds his chest in pain. Kane stomps on Hardy’s back, before hitting elbow drops on it. Kane rolls into the ring, followed by Hardy a couple moments later.
