St. Louis – Missouri

Bright blue fireworks explode vertically between the stage and the TitanTron as we're just nine days away from Backlash. The crowd is really fired up and ready for some awesome action.

John Cena theme

The wild and energetic crowd lives up to their description as John Cena bursts into the arena, sporting a “Hustle, Loyalty, Respect” T-Shirt. He stands tall on the stage for a moment, then salutes to the crowd to a huge pop.

”Good evening everybody and welcome to Friday Night Smackdown! We are counting down the days to Backlash, and if I'm counting correctly, we're just nine days away!”

”Tell me about it, J.R.! I'm so excited – as is pretty much everyone else – for Backlash!.”

”And it's the bout that will take place between CM Punk and Triple H that has everyone excited. For the first time ever, CM Punk will step into the ring with The Game and defend the WWE Championship against him!”

”And last week we learned from The Game that Vickie Guerrero told him she'd give him a WWE Title shot if she managed to keep her job. Triple H made that happen, and now he's being rewarded for it.”

”The Game said that he's not like John Cena. He doesn't feel bad about doing something to make himself happy, and that's exactly what he's going to prove at Backlash when he battles CM Punk.”

”And speaking of Cena, here he comes now! John Cena is one of the many guys that will be competing in the 21-Man Tri-Branded Battle Royal at Backlash! The winner of that match will go on to Judgment Day to challenge for the World Championship on their respective brand.”

”John Cena would love a rematch with CM Punk, and if it's anything like their encounter at Wrestlemania, I'd love to see it.”

Cena makes his way down the ramp and slides into the ring. He ascends to the top turnbuckle, takes off his hat, and throws it into the crowd. He steps down and gets a microphone.

“Let me tell ya what..it is GREAT to be here in St. Louis!” Cena smiles brightly as the crowd gives cheers. “And don't get me wrong, it was great to be in St. Louis on Raw, but here, I'm on Smackdown baby! I'm at home, and man I feel great! This whole Draft thing is done, and now it's time to start focusing on what's important. The WWE Championship!” “Cena” chants begin to fill the arena as the crowd – now standing for the most part – gives Cena a standing ovation. “Now that brings me to Triple H.” Boos. “Triple H, you claim that you're not like me in that I felt bad about the mistake I made and tried to do the right thing. You claim that you're not like me in that I'm weak and I don't deserve to be a Champion. Well, Triple H, let me tell you somethin. I'm sure you're watching this, and I have a message for you. What you did at Wrestlemania was despicable. Sure, whatever, you earned yourself a Title Match. That's not what I have a problem with. After the match, you not only Pedigreed Shane McMahon, you attacked him with a Sledgehammer and busted him open.” More boos. “For absolutely no reason whatsoever other than to kiss Vickie Guerrero's a*s, you viciously attacked Shane McMahon, someone who hadn't done anything to you. So Triple H, pay attention. I hope you win at Backlash. I really do. Because come Judgment Day, after I win the Battle Royal, I'm comin for that Championship, and I'm gonna kick your a*s while I'm at it!” Cena throws the microphone on the ground, takes off his T-Shirt, tosses it into the crowd, and faces the TitanTron, ready to do battle.

The Brian Kendrick theme

Kendrick barely has time to enter the arena before the boos begin. He smiles cockily on the stage, sporting a black jacket and black tights/boots to match. Kendrick dances on the stage for a good twenty seconds before making his way to the ring. Again he dances at the bottom of the steps. He climbs the steps, takes off his coat, and hangs it on the ring post before entering the ring.

First Match: John Cena vs. The Brian Kendrick

Match: Kendrick stands far away from Cena, in the opposite corner. He makes a few mocking notions toward Cena before slowly walking to the center of the ring. He calls for a test of strength, and Cena begins to move toward him, but Kendrick hits a cheap-shot kick to the chest, followed by some blows to the back. Kendrick bounces off the ropes and tries to knee a now on-his-knees Cena, but gets blasted with a Clothesline, flipping over backwards.

”Good God what power from Cena!”

”John Cena is certainly on a war path, J.R.! His goal is to become the WWE Champion once again, and teach Triple H a lesson while he's at it!”

Cena picks Kendrick up and Irish Whips him into the corner with great force. Kendrick slams into the turnbuckle like a freight train crashing into a wall, and is knocked backwards to the mat. Cena drags him to the center of the ring and hooks the leg, but is only able to score a two count as Kendrick gets the shoulder up. Cena gets Kendrick to his feet and Kendrick punches him in the chest. Cena battles back with a kick and bounces off the ropes, nailing Kendrick with a Flying Shoulder Block in the process. The crowd cheers – as they know what's coming next – as Cena walks toward Kendrick's head. He looks around the arena, smiles, and rebounds off the ropes before “You Can't See Me!” fills the arena and Cena waves his hand in front of his face. The same hand that, seconds later, is dropped on Kendrick's face.

”John Cena connected with that Five-Knuckle Shuffle! This could be over right here!”

1! 2! Thr—no as Kendrick barely rolls the shoulder up. Cena looks around for a moment, taking in the excitement of the crowd, before going to the second rope. Kendrick gets to his feet and stumbles toward the corner, but is taken down as Cena drops a leg on the back of his neck! Another cover by Cena, but again Kendrick kicks out at two!

”I gotta say, J.R., I am impressed by Kendrick's resilience. He keeps kicking out of whatever John Cena throws at him.”

”Reslience is good, yes, but when you're getting in absolutely no offense, your chances of winning a match aren't very high. Unless Kendrick can pull a powerful move out somewhere, Cena's going to win this thing.”

Both superstars get to their feet and trade blows, with Cena getting the better of it. He tries for another Flying Shoulder Block, but Kendrick is able to dodge it this time. Kendrick nails Cena with a Crescent Kick! Hook of the legs by Kendrick..what an upset this would be! 1! 2! It's over—no! Cena kicks out! The crowd begins to cheer and a look of disappointment appears on Kendrick's face. He thought had the victory. Kendrick picks Cena up, grabs his head, and goes for The Kendrick, but Cena blocks it and connects with a Proto Bomb! Cena measures Kendrick up..Kendrick staggers to his feet..Cena grabs him..F-U! Cover by Cena..1! 2! 3! That's all she wrote!

Winner: John Cena

The crowd cheers again as Cena's music hits and he exits the ring, leaving Kendrick in the ring to reflect on his loss, if you will.

”John Cena picks up the victory! Cena fell short at Wrestlemania 25, but – if you ask me – I say he's got a pretty good chance of victory!”

”Yeah man I mean if John Cena continues to compete like he did tonight, it'll be no time before he's back on the path for the WWE Championship!”

”Speaking of the WWE Championship, the man that hopes to become the WWE Champion at Backlash, Triple H, will be in action tonight against The Hurricane. Now, no disrespect to The Hurricane, but I don't think this match is in the least bit fair for the young superstar.”

Triple H vs. The Hurricane [Tonight]

”Triple H wants to make an example out of someone going into Judgment Day, and it seems that he's chosen The Hurricane.”

Commercial break

“Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome, the General Manager of Smackdown...Vickie Guerrero!”

The much-hated General Manager of Smackdown, Vickie Guerrero, steps onto the stage. A bright smile lines her face and she is holding a microphone. Boos fill the arena, but she continues to smile.

“Excuse me!” The crowd responds with even more boos, which seems to make Vickie Guerrero happy. “I would love to stay out here and chat, but I really don't have the time do so. The reason I came out here tonight is to announce that later on tonight, the WWE Champion CM Punk will go one-on-one with Vladimir Kozlov!” She walks to the back to major heat, leaving the crowd to do as they please as she has bigger things to worry about.

”CM Punk and Kozlov? That should be an interesting match. Although, with just nine days left until Backlash, CM Punk has to be careful that he doesn't get badly hurt and jeapordize his chances of retaining the WWE Championship.”

”You gotta be extremely careful when you step into the ring with a guy like Vladimir Kozlov. He's taken out Triple H, Jeff Hardy, and many others.”

”And we know Kozlov is probably not in a good mood after being defeated by Chris Jericho this past Tuesday on ECW.”

”Spaking of Jericho, he's going to make his Smackdown Debut next, when he goes one-on-one with The Self-Proclaimed Shaman of Sexy, John Morrison.”

Chris Jericho vs. John Morrison [up Next]

This Monday...six days before Backlash, two superstars will do battle with a chance at greatness on the line! The Extreme Enigma Jeff Hardy battles Rey Mysterio in a match where the winner will face The Big Red Machine Kane at Backlash for the World Heavyweight Championship! Raw! Live at 9 PM/8 PM central! Only on USA!

We return to the show and the camera moves through the crowd, showing tons of excited Smackdown fans holding up signs and wearing T-Shirts representing their favorite superstars.

John Morrison theme

The Tuesday Night Delight enters the arena with a smile on his face. He taunts on the ramp as his fur coat blows around from the slow-motion effect of the camera. He walks to the ring, receiving a mixed reaction from the St. Louis crowd.

”I guess you could call John Morrison's appearance here tonight a Special Apperance, as Morrison was Drafted to Raw in the Supplemental Draft. Tonight is most likely going to be John Morrison's final appearance on Smackdown.”

”It's disappointin, J.R. John Morrison is one h*ll of an athlete, and it's only a matter of time until he becomes one of the top superstars on the Raw brand.”

”John Morrison and Chris Jericho, who is a top superstar in his own right, have never faced each other. So this match is going to be like a one-hit wonder.”

”That's for sure. This match is gonna be great!”

The lights go out for a moment and come back on as blue lights now flash through the arena. Jericho is standing on the stage, flexing. He turns around and punches in front of him as a bunch of pyro explodes. The crowd cheers as he makes his way to the ring, high-fiving some fans along the way.

”Another match that is sure to be great will be this man taking on The Undertaker at Backlash.”

”And if Jericho does manage to win at Backlash, he could end up taking the ECW Championship over here to Smackdown!”

”That's true. Chris Jericho has been in a bad mood, if you will, as of late since finding out that he was unable to cash in his Rematch Clause for the ECW Championship. In order to get that Rematch, he has to defeat The Undertaker at Backlash. Simply put, the odds aren't in Jericho's favor.”

”When you're in the ring with The Undertaker, the odds are rarely ever in your favor.”

Second Match: John Morrison vs. Chris Jericho

Match: Morrison looks to start things off with a Clothesline, but Jericho – being one step ahead – is able to dodge it. Jericho runs to the ropes and connects with a Springboard Elbow. Quick cover by Jericho...looking to end it early! Can he do it? 1! 2! No—kick out! Jericho grabs Morrison's head and pulls him to his feet. Jericho hits Morrison with a right hand, and Irish Whips him into the ropes. Morrison rebounds off the ropes, and Jericho goes for a Back Body Drop, but Morrison knees him in the face, and hits him with a Spinning Wheel Kick.

”A very impressive counter from Morrison.”

”I don't think Jericho saw the coming. One of John Morrison's advantages is that he is very skilled with his feet, so he is able to perform a variety of kicks. That can really give you the upper hand on your opponent, especially if they don't know what to expect.”

”Well, here in the WWE, you never know what to expect.”

Morrison hooks the leg, but Jericho kicks out at two. Morrison gets to his knees and hits Jericho with a couple of right hands to the face before standing up. He taunts for a moment and goes for a Standing Star Press, but Jericho moves out of the way. The crowd cheers as Jericho gets to his feet. He drops an elbow on Morrison and tries for a cover, but Morrison kicks out at two. Jericho picks Morrison up again and connects with a Suplex into a cover. 1! 2! Another kick-out by Morrison. Jericho seems frustrated as he gets to his feet. He goes to grab Morrison's legs, but Morrison grabs him and rolls him up into a Small Package! 1! 2! Jericho rolls out and both superstars get to their feet. Morrison goes for a Springboard Kick, but Jericho grabs his legs and locks in the Walls of Jericho!

”I guess this time Jericho saw the kick coming!”

”One thing's for sure; Morrison didn't expect Jericho to counter!”

Jericho pulls Morrison to the center of the ring and The Tuesday Night Delight yells in pain. He starts to crawl to the ropes, but Jericho pulls him back to the center of the ring. Morrison turns around so he's facing Jericho, and uses his right leg to push Jericho into the ropes. Morrison rolls backward and gets to his feet. He tries to kick Jericho in the chest, but Jericho grabs his leg. Jericho smiles for a moment but falls to the mat when Morrison connects with an Inziguri! Cover by Morrison! 1! 2! Jericho barely kicks out!

”That's exactly what I meant earlier, J.R. Morrison can strike with those kicks out of nowhere.”

”I have plenty of respect for John Morrison's wrestling ability—the guy's great. It's his attitude that bothers me.”

”You gotta have confidence to make it in this business, and that's exactly what John Morrison has.”

Morrison pulls Jericho toward the center of the ring and connects with a Standing Star Press! He hooks the legs, but once again only gets a two count. Getting frustrated, Morrison picks Jericho up and goes for the Moonlight Drive! Can he connect—no! Jericho with the Codebreaker! What a reversal! Jericho hooks the legs! 1! 2! 3!

Winner: Chris Jericho

”That's gonna do it! Chris Jericho picks up another victory on his path to Backlash! Still, although these victories have been impressive, it's going to take a lot more than one Codebreaker to put The Undertaker away.”

”Well, it's a good start, J.R. Nonetheless, Chris Jericho impressive yet again!”

Commercial break

BacklashLogo.png

”Welcome back to Smackdown! You're listening to the

of WWE Backlash! Seasons, by Veer Union!”

”We extend our thanks to Veer Union for letting us use this song! And wow, this song is really fitting for Backlash if you ask me.”

”Everything is changing around here thanks to the WWE Draft, so I guess you're right.”

”And at Backlash, quite possibly the biggest match on the card, WWE Champion CM Punk defends the gold against Triple H!”

”Triple H has wanted to get the WWE Championship back ever since he lost it to CM Punk on Smackdown a couple of months ago, and Backlash is his chance to do so!”

”And how about this? Smackdown's Batista battles ECW's Devon Immortal!”

”Devon Immortal almost put Batista out of action weeks ago, and now Batista gets a chance at revenge!”

”And let's not forget this one! Dustin Delta defends the United States Title against the winner of the United States Title Tournament!”

”It's been narrowed down to four, and after tonight, it'll be narrowed down to three! The final three will compete in a Triple Threat Match on Raw with the winner earning the right to challenge Dustin Delta for the Championship!”

”And that's not all! For the first time ever, there's going to be a 21-Man Tri-Branded Battle Royal where the winner will earn a World Championship Match for a Title on their respective brand!”

”John Cena is determined to win that Battle Royal, but many other superstars have a chance wouldn't mind winning it either!”

”In one of the biggest matches of the night without a doubt, Chris Jericho battles The Undertaker for the right to challenge Jack Swagger for the ECW Championship at Judgment Day!”

”Jericho has looked impressive as of late, but will he be able to defeat The Phenom?”

”Well it's time for one of our two Main Event Matches! Coming up next, The Game, Triple H, battles The Hurricane!”

Triple H vs. The Hurricane [up Next]

Smackdown's superhero bursts into the arena to a huge pop. He does a spin on stage as his cape riffles behind him. He smiles as he walks down the ramp, high-fiving a bunch of fans along the way.

”This guy is just full of excitement, J.R.! I hope The Hurricane wins tonight!”

”I think we all do, Tazz. The problem is; he's facing Triple H. An angry Triple H. We saw what Triple H did to Shane McMahon at Wrestlemania. What makes you think he won't do the same thing – or worse – to The Hurricane here tonight?”

The crowd cheers as The Hurricane enters the ring and ascends to the top turnbuckle. He looks around into the crowd before stepping down, preparing to participate in what might be the biggest challenge of his career.

Triple H theme

The crowd begins to boo as “The Game” plays throughout the arena. Green and yellow lights flash and The Game appears on the stage, holding a bottle of water. He takes a sip and begins to walk to the ring. The crowd continues to boo him as he does so. He takes another sip of water, throws the water bottle into the crowd, and climbs to the ring apron before spitting the water above his head.

”And this man...has completely changed since Wrestlemania 25. Once he was told by Vickie Guerrero that he'd receive a shot at the WWE Championship if he helped her keep her job, Triple H became a changed man.”

”I personally don't approve of The Game's actions toward Shane McMahon at Wrestlemania. I just hope that the same thing doesn't happen tonight.”

Third Match: The Hurricane vs. Triple H

Match: “Hurricane” chants begin to fill the arena as The Game and The Superhero stare each other down. The Game runs toward Hurricane, but Hurricane twists one arm behind his back and leans forward, stopping The Game in his tracks, and getting a nice laugh from the fans. The Game – now angry – goes for a Right Hand, but Hurricane blocks it and hits an Armbar, followed by another Armbar as The Game gets to his feet. The Game goes for a Forearm Smash, but Hurricane ducks and connects with a Dropkick.

”If Hurricane can keep this up, he might just win this match!”

”The Game hasn't gotten in any offense yet! This is completely shocking!”

Hurricane hooks the legs! 1! The Game kicks out! Hurricane goes for a Right Hand, but this time The Game blocks it. Hurricane Irish Whips The Game, who rebounds and connects with a High Knee, shades of Harley Race. The crowd booes as Triple H begins to assault Hurricane with Right Hands. The Referee orders Triple H to back off. Triple H picks Hurricane up and goes for a Suplex, but Hurricane – surprisingly – counters and connects with a Backslide Pin! 1! 2! The Game kicks out! Hurricane goes for a Clothesline, but Triple H blasts him with a Spinebuster. The crowd boos as Triple H gets to his feet and smiles. The Game exits the ring and gets a sledgehammer.

”Oh come on! Not this!”

”What is Triple H thinkin here?”

The crowd goes wild as Hurricane leaps over the ropes and hits a Diving Crossbody on an unexpecting Triple H. Hurricane gets to his feet and rolls into the ring. The Referee begins to count Triple H out. When the Referee's count reaches seven, The Game starts to get to his feet. A second later, he re-enters the ring. The Game goes for a Running Lariat, but Hurricane ducks and yells “What's up with that?!”, angering The Game even more. The Game grabs Hurricane and throws him shoulder-first into the corner, causing him to hit the ring post. The Game kicks Hurricane in the chest and goes for a Pedigree! This is it! Wait a minute! Hurricane counters into a Bridge Pin! No way! 1! 2! 3! The Hurricane just beat Triple H!

Winner: The Hurricane

”What the h*ll?! You gotta be kidding me!”

”Did he just?! The Hurricane just beat The Game!”

The crowd goes absolutely wild as Hurricane slides out of the ring and makes his way to the back, leaving a furious Triple H standing in the ring.

”This crowd is loving it! Way to go kid!”

”The Game doesn't believe it! Man, what a victory for The Hurricane!”

”That can't possibly be good for The Game going into Backlash!”

The Game, furious, yells at The Hurricane from inside the ring. It's clearly obvious that he's gone from bad mood to completely pi*sed off.

”It's clear that things aren't good for The Game, but will things be good for his Backlash opponent? We're going to find out later tonight when CM Punk battles Vladimir Kozlov!”

CM Punk vs. Vladimir Kozlov [Tonight]

”Yeah but comin up next a huge match baby! Captain Charisma has his final match here on Smackdown when he takes on Cody Rhodes, a new member of the Smackdown Roster!”

Christian vs. Cody Rhodes [up Next]

Commercial break

“Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, Triple H.” The crowd boos as Triple H appears next to Todd Grisham on the TitanTron. “Now Triple H, just moments ago you lost a match to...” The Game rips the microphone out of Todd Grisham's hand.

“What just happened out there...” Breathing heavily, The Game pauses for a moment. “What just happened out there was complete bullsh*t!” The crowd cheers, but in response to Hurricane's victory. “Some superhero loser manages to pick up a fluke victory over me?! Let's be serious! That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! And I assure you, it's not going to happen again! I've requested a match with The Hurricane next week on Smackdown, and Vickie Guerrero has made it official! Next week, I will face The Hurricane in an Extreme Rules Match! And as for John Cena; Cena, I don't give a d*mn if you approve of my actions or not! Once I'm done with CM Punk, I'll defeat you too!” The Game hands the microphone to Todd Grisham and walks away.

”Some pretty strong words from The Game! But really, an Extreme Rules Match? Why can't The Game leave well enough alone?”

”I think The Hurricane has just gotten himself into a world of trouble!”

Christian enters the arena to a huge pop. He is sporting a black jumpsuit, full of sparkles, and a pair of black wrestling tights with 'C' on either side. He high-fives some fans before sliding into the ring.

”We are witnessing what could very well be Christian's last match on Smackdown!”

”Christian's leaving opens up the door for Smackdown newcomer Cody Rhodes, who was the first pick in the Supplemental Draft!”

”Cody Rhodes, of course the son of The American Dream, Dusty Rhodes, has been very impressive since making his WWE Debut just over a year ago! I look forward to seeing how well he'll perform on Smackdown!”

Cody Rhodes theme

The crowd boos as Rhodes enters the arena. A cocky smile forms on his face as he walks to the ring, jumping in place a few times to get warmed up for the match.

Fourth Match: Christian vs. Cody Rhodes

Match: Both superstars lock-up in the center of the ring. Christian connects with a quick Snapmare Toss. He bounces off the ropes and hits a Dropkick on Rhodes. Christian into the cover...1! 2! Rhodes kicks out. Christian picks Rhodes up and Irish Whips him into the corner. He goes for a Corner Clothesline, but Rhodes sticks his feet out, and Christian runs into them. Rhodes grabs Christian and goes for a Crossrhodes, but Christian quickly battles out of it. Christian connects with some Right Hands, followed by another Irish Whip. Rhodes rebounds off the ropes and Christian hits a Back Body Drop. Christian picks up Rhodes and goes for the Killswitch, but Rhodes pushes him into the ropes and hits a Dropkick to the back, sending Christian out of the ring.

”Both superstars looking to perhaps get the victory early, but as we can see, that didn't work out for either of them.”

”Rushing things isn't good in a match. Unless you're someone like Kane and you can actually defeat your opponent in a matter of seconds without even trying. That's a different story.”

”It sure is.” J.R. laughs.

Rhodes slides out of the ring and picks Christian up. He drops him on the security barrier, and Christian falls to the mat. Rhodes stomps Christian's chest a few times before picking him up and throwing him into the ring. Rhodes slides back into the ring and tries for a cover, but only gets a two count. Rhodes applies a Side Headlock while Christian is on the mat. The crowd begins to chant “Christian” and The Instant Classic starts to get to his feet. Rhodes continues to keep the hold locked in, but Christian forces him to break it with a Backdrop. Christian waits for Rhodes to get to his feet and tries to Irish Whip him into the corner, but Rhodes reverses it, Irish Whipping Christian into the corner. Rhodes hits Christian with some Right Hands, and Christian grabs Rhodes' head before connecting with a Tornado DDT out of the corner! Cover by Christian! 1! 2! Thr—no!

”How close was that?!”

”That move should have ended it!”

Christian goes for a Suplex, but Rhodes lands on his feet. Rhodes tries for a Reverse Neckbreaker, but Christian blocks it and turns Rhodes around. Christian connects with a Falling Reverse DDT! Cover again! 1! 2! Kick-out! Christian gets Rhodes to his feet! Christian goes for an Irish Whip, Rhodes blocks it and throws Christian toward the corner! Christian stops himself from hitting the corner! Rhodes goes for a Forearm Smash...Christian dodges it...Christian grabs Rhodes...will it be? Killswitch! Cover by Christian...1! 2! 3! That's all she wrote!

Winner: Christian

”It's over! Christian picks up what is most likely his final victory on Smackdown! Hopefully Cody Rhodes will have better luck next week!”

”It was still a great match, though! Best of luck to Christian in ECW!”

”I'm sure Christian will do fine over in ECW; he's one of the best athletes in the business! But now, on a more serious note, it's time for our Main Event. The WWE Champion, CM Punk, will be squaring off against The Moscow Mauler, Vladimir Kozlov.”

CM Punk vs. Vladimir Kozlov [up Next]

”This match was made earlier in the night by Smackdown General Manager Vickie Guerrero. Punk's Backlash opponent, Triple H, was unsuccessful in his match tonight. Will Punk suffer the same fate?”

”That match—is next!”

Commercial break

Vladimir Kozlov theme

The Moscow Mauler enters the arena with a look of determination on his face. He raises his arms in the air and yells before shooting some dirty looks at the St. Louis crowd and making his way to the ring. He enters the ring and gets a microphone. The crowd begins to boo.

“На протяжении года я, Владимир Козлов, были доминирующими в WWE Вселенной. Я взял из суперзвезда после суперзвезда. Но этого недостаточно. Я требую уважения, и я потребовать чемпионата. Пришло время, когда Владимир Козлов действительно стать лучшим спортсменом в бизнесе. Российских спортсменов гораздо больше начальника, чем любой другой страны, спортсмены, и я буду доказывать, что сегодня вечером, когда я победить чемпиона WWE. “

Kozlov pauses and looks around the arena and the boos continue.

“For over a year I, Vladimir Kozlov, have been dominant in the WWE Universe. I have taken out superstar after superstar. But that is not enough. I demand respect, and I demand a Championship. It is time for Vladimir Kozlov to truly become the best athlete in the business. Russian Athletes are far more superior than any other country's athletes, and I will prove that tonight when I defeat the WWE Champion. “

He drops the microphone and turns his attention toward the TitanTron.

CM Punk theme

Punk's music hits and the crowd goes wild as the WWE Champion bursts into the arena. The WWE Championship is around his waist and covers part of his black “Backlash” T-Shirt. He high-fives some fans before entering the ring and ascending to the top turnbuckle. He unattaches the Championship Belt and raises it in the air above his head. He steps down from the turnbuckle, hands the Championship Belt to the Referee, and takes off his T-Shirt. He throws his T-Shirt into the crowd and turns his attention to Vladimir Kozlov.

”And it's time for this huge Main Event Match!”

”Vladimir Kozlov made it clear that he wants Championship gold, and a victory over CM Punk would certainly put him on that path, J.R.!”

”No doubt about it. No disrepsect to CM Punk, but this victory won't come easy.”

Main Event Match: CM Punk vs. Vladimir Kozlov

Match: The bell rings and we're off! Kozlov and Punk lock-up in the center of the ring and Kozlov quickly overpowers Punk. He grabs Punk and tosses him – literally – halfway across the ring. The crowd boos as Kozlov taunts for a moment before making his way toward Punk. Kozlov attempts to pick Punk up, but Punk hits a Drop Toehold, sending Kozlov face-first into the second turnbuckle. The crowd cheers as Punk gets to his feet. He runs toward Kozlov – who uses the ropes to pull himself up in the corner – and goes for a Running Knee, but Kozlov moves out of the way and Punk stops himself from running into the turnbuckle. Punk turns around and runs toward Kozlov, only to be laid out with a Clothesline. Another taunt from Kozlov brings more boos.

”That could do it right there.”

”Man what a Clothesline!”

Kozlov tries for a cover, but only gets a two count. He gets Punk to his feet and Irish Whips him into the corner. Kozlov nails Punk with a Corner Clothesline, followed by a Fallaway Slam. Kozlov tries for another cover but Punk manages to kick out once again to some cheers from the crowd. Kozlov grabs Punk's leg and applies a Half-Boston Crab; a move rarely used by The Moscow Mauler.

”It's not too often we see Vladimir Kozlov apply a Submission Hold. He usually uses his power to win the match quickly.”

”I have a feeling CM Punk's not feelin too great right about now!”

CM Punk yells in pain as Kozlov applies more pressure to the hold. The WWE Champion tries to crawl toward the ropes, but Kozlov pulls him back toward the center of the ring. The crowd begins to chant “CM Punk” and the WWE Champion tries – once again – to make it to the ropes, but is unable to do so. Finally, Punk uses all of his strength to turn over, and Kozlov refuses to let go of his leg. Kozlov ducks down to grab Punk's other leg and Punk nails him with an Inziguri. The crowd goes wild as Kozlov falls to the mat. The Referee begins to count both superstars down. As he reaches four, Punk crawls to the ropes and uses them to pull himself up. Kozlov gets to his feet and Punk runs toward him. Kozlov nails him with a Side Kick, straight to the chest. Punk falls to the mat and Kozlov hooks the legs! 1! 2! Punk rolls the shoulder up, not even kicking out. Kozlov picks Punk up and Irish Whips him into the ropes. Punk rebounds off the ropes and Kozlov nails him with a Battering Ram Headbutt. The crowd shows their feelings for Kozlov with some major heat.

”The Headbutt connects! Can the Champion stay in this thing?! We'll find out—when we come back!”

Commercial break

We return from the commercial break and Kozlov hits Punk with a Suplex. Kozlov goes for a cover, but Punk kicks out at two. Kozlov gets Punk to his feet and goes for another Suplex, but this time Punk counters. Punk turns around and Kozlov runs toward him, but Punk moves out of the way, and Kozlov runs into the corner. Punk flips outside the ropes and kicks Kozlov in the head. Punk flips back inside and connects with a Springboard Clothesline! Cover by Punk! 1! 2! The Moscow Mauler kicks out. Punk gets to his feet and sizes up Kozlov. Kozlov stumbles to his feet and Punk goes for the GTS, but Kozlov blocks it. Kozlov grabs Punk by the throat and goes for a Chokeslam, but Punk counters it into an Armbar. Kozlov quickly rolls to his feet and goes for a Clothesline. Punk ducks it...gets Kozlov on his shoulders...GTS! Cover by Punk! 1! 2! 3!

Winner: CM Punk

”Punk did it! Punk did it! The WWE Champion just defeated The Moscow Mauler!”

”What a match baby!”

The Referee hands the WWE Championship Belt to CM Punk and he holds it in the air. Suddenly, Triple H appears on the stage. Punk stares at him and motions for him to come to the ring. Triple H begins to walk – slowly – to the ring.

”It looks like business is about to pick up!”

”These two guys are gonna go at it before Backlash!”

The crowd begins to boo as Cody Rhodes and Curt Hawkins run through the crowd and enter the ring. Rhodes Clotheslines Punk in the back of the head and he and Hawkins begin to assault the WWE Champion.

”What in the world is this?”

”That's..Cody Rhodes! And Curt Hawkins!”

Rhodes holds Punk's arms behind his back and Hawkins kicks Punk in the chest multiple times. Rhodes hits Punk with some blows to the chest.

”Come on! Somebody's gotta stop this!”

The crowd boos and chants “You Suck” as Triple H begins to enter the ring. Rhodes picks Punk up and hits him with Crossrhodes. Rhodes and Hawkins pick Punk up and push him toward Triple H, who hits him with a Pedigree. The crowd boos as Triple H taunts.

John Cena theme

Here it goes! The crowd goes absolutely wild as John Cena's music hits and he runs to the ring. Triple H quickly flees the ring as Hawkins and Rhodes run toward Cena. He ducks and bounces off the ropes before taking them both down with a Double Clothesline. Rhodes gets to his feet and runs toward Cena again, but Cena picks him up for an F-U! Hawkins tries to break it up, but Cena puts Hawkins on his shoulders too! No way! Double F-U! Triple H hightails it up the ramp as John Cena climbs to the top turnbuckle and taunts.

I like it' date=' but, for some reason, the all face wins left a bad taste in my mouth, and Cena is getting pushed enough in the real WWE (too much really) It kinda annoys me when it happens here too....

[/quote']

I'll be honest, when I was writing it, I didn't pay attention to the face/heel factors. I knew that a victory for Kozlov would hurt Punk's chances going into Backlash, otherwise I would have had Kozlov win.

I rarely ever do a full face/full heel victory thing, and I'll try to stray away from it.

John Cena is overpushed when it comes to Championship gold, but that doesn't mean he can't have a high-card rivalry, you know?

On the next Friday Night Smackdown! Just three days before Backlash, what kind of exciting things will happen? Don't miss the debut of two brand new Smackdown Divas!

Plus, WWE Champion CM Punk steps into the ring with former WWE Champion Randy Orton! All this and more on Smackdown!

Fair enough

I rarely ever do a full face/full heel victory thing, and I'll try to stray away from it.

I know, I've always enjoyed Legacy's diversity

I guess so, but personally, I'd have played him down into the mid-card, actually I'm planning it for my fic..

”Then we have a 1o-Man Tri-Branded Battle Royal Preview Match! This match will consist of superstars from all three shows that will be participating in the 21-Man Tri-Branded Battle Royal at Backlash!”

Finlay vs. Tyson Kidd vs. D.H. Smith [Triple Threat Match] [u.S. Title Tournament Final Match]

”But what might be the biggest match is going to get underway right now!”

Jeff Hardy theme

The crowd goes wild as The Extreme Enigma dances his way into the arena. He high-fives a bunch of fans as he walks to the ring, ready to earn himself a World Heavyweight Championship Match at Backlash.

Match: DING, DING! This match will decide who goes to Backlash to face Kane for the championship. Both of these men are fan favourites, and are both highflyers. They stare each other down from each side. Hardy begins clapping, building the crowd’s hype.

“LET’S GO HARDY

619!

LET’S GO HARDY

619!”

Both men attempt to lock up, but fail. They begin circling each other – when Mysterio runs and slides through Hardy’s legs! Hardy turns as Mysterio leaps into the air, throwing his legs out, connecting with the dropkick. Hardy stumbles back, catching the ropes as he leans in the turnbuckle. Mysterio runs, but Hardy turns his waist and counters with a strong elbow to the face. Mysterio stumbles out, holding his head. Hardy runs and knocks Mysterio off his feet with a clothesline. First pin! “1!” Hardly even the one-count. Hardy hits a twin legdrop to Mysterio’s chest! Hardy lifts Mysterio and tosses him into the turnbuckle. Hardy runs and hits another clothesline, before throwing Mysterio out of the turnbuckle. Hardy goes to the top, waiting for Mysterio to get up. Mysterio slowly gets to his feet and turns. Hardy leaps into the air, going for a clothesline – but Mysterio counters! Hitting a dropkick to Hardy’s abdomen. Hardy falls and rolls to the ropes. Mysterio gets up, rebounds off the ropes and knocks Hardy out of the ring with a dropkick! Hardy lands on the mat with a thud. Mysterio runs and rebounds once again, shooting out from the second rope, with a suicide dive, landing on Hardy, causing Hardy to fall back and hit the barricade. Mysterio gets up, dragging Hardy up with him. Mysterio tosses Hardy into the steps. Though not much power put into the throw, Hardy crashed into the steps, but using them to keep him up. Mysterio ran and dropkicked Hardy from behind, pushing him through the steps, causing him to fall to the mat. “4… 5…” Mysterio breaks the count and grabs Hardy again. Mysterio walks with Hardy around the ring, smashing his head off the barricade, over and over in different spots. Finally, Mysterio attempts to throw Hardy at the other set of steps – but Hardy jumps to the top, and flips backwards, connecting with an earlier WHISPER IN THE WIND! Both men are on the mat. “5… 6… 7…” both men slide into the ring. They both stand and begin punching each other. Mysterio gets the advantage with a kick to the side of Hardy’s leg. Mysterio pushes Hardy backwards, stilling hanging on his arm, and attempting an Irish Whip to the ropes. Hardy overpowers Mysterio by sending him to the ropes instead! Mysterio rebounds off the ropes, to catch Hardy in a Hurricanrana! But Hardy holds his ground, and refuses to be thrown! Hardy lifts Mysterio up into a powerbomb clutch, and attempts to hurl him – but Mysterio jumps over Hardy’s head, and dropkicks Hardy’s back so he lands on the second rope. Mysterio rebounds off the ropes – Hardy ducks! Avoiding the 619. Hardy jumps on the turnbuckle; Mysterio turns; Hardy connects with a missile dropkick! Hardy crawls onto Mysterio! “1…” kick-out from Mysterio! Hardy lifts Mysterio and tosses him to the ropes, Mysterio rebounds from the ropes, to be caught by Hardy and tossed into the air. Mysterio holds his chest as he rolls onto his back, legs in the air. Hardy runs around Mysterio, grabbing hold of his two legs, jumping, and hitting the legdrop to the lower area! Mysterio sits up, shouting in pain. Hardy rolls up, and hits a dropkick to Mysterio’s face! Pin! “1… 2!” Mysterio kicks out! Hardy moves back to the ropes, jogs forward, and attempts a legdrop to the face. Mysterio moves out of the way, causing Hardy to hurt his back! Mysterio runs to the ropes; step out to the apron; leap from the top-rope, hitting his own legdrop to Hardy’s face! Mysterio’s first pin! “1… 2!”

Hardy kicks out! Mysterio lifts Hardy, and begins punching and kicking him. Hardy is backed into the turnbuckle. Mysterio pulls Hardy out, and tosses him into the ropes! Mysterio bends over, Hardy flips over Mysterio, going for the pin in a roll-up, locking his arms under Hardy’s arms. “1… 2!” Mysterio rolls out backwards, jumps and hits a dropkick to Hardy’s face, who falls back to the mat! Another pin! “1… 2!” Hardy gets the shoulder out! The crowd pops. Mysterio gets up and taunts the crowd. Soon, Hardy stands. Mysterio runs at Hardy from behind, Hardy moves to the side avoiding a dropkick, Mysterio gets up and turns into a kick to the gut! Hardy locks Mysterio’s head, going for the Twist of Fate! But wait! Mysterio pushes Hardy off of him, and hits the dropkick, sending Hardy onto the second rope! Mysterio runs to the ropes, rebounds, and hits the 619! The crowd pops even louder! Hardy shoots backwards, knocking the referee behind him, out. The crowd pops at something off-screen. KANE! Mysterio hasn’t see yet! Mysterio goes to the top-rope, going for the splash. But Kane slides into the ring! Mysterio jumps; Kane catches him, putting him on the ground, throwing him back into the air by the throat! Chokeslam! Kane looks at Mysterio as the referee begins to stir. Kane slides out of the ring, and disappears backstage. Both men are done, as the ref gets up. Hardy also gets up, and see’s Mysterio on the ground, confused, he runs and jumps up to the top-rope, SWANTON BOMB! It’s over! Hardy goes for the cover! “1… 2… 3!” Hardy leaps of Mysterio, he’s won! DING, DING!

Winner: Jeff Hardy

”What a match! Jeff Hardy just earned himself a shot at the World Title!”

”That match had me on the edge of my seat! Both Hardy and Mysterio were extremely impressive!”

”I completely agree with you, but only one of them can go to Backlash to compete for the World Title, and on this night, that’s Jeff Hardy!”

Jeff Hardy helps Rey Mysterio to his feet and they shake hands. Jeff raises Mysterio’s arm in the air and the crowd cheers.

”A great show of respect from Jeff Hardy, and to be honest, Rey deserves it. Both of these guys put on a great show.”

Finlay is shown in the back with his son, Hornswoggle. He is doing some stretches, then stops and picks up his Shillelagh. He puts on his hat, says “you ready?” to Hornswoggle, who nods, and begins to walk to the ring.

”Speaking of a great show; this United States Championship Tournament has been awesome to watch, and tonight it’s finally going to come to an end! Who will face Dustin Delta at Backlash? We’ll find out—next!”

Finlay vs. Tyson Kidd vs. D.H. Smith [Triple Threat Match] [u.S. Title Tournament Final Match] [up Next]

Commercial break

Finlay theme

The crowd cheers as the man who loves to fight enters the arena and the ever-popular Irish theme song blares throughout the arena. Finlay’s son Hornswoggle walks down the ramp with his father, holding an inflatable hammer that he throws into the crowd.

”Welcome back to Raw, and we’re about to witness the final match of the United States Championship Tournament! The winner of this Triple Threat Match will go to Backlash to face Dustin Delta for the Title.”

”Let’s not forget, the U.S. Title is now back on the Raw Brand since Dustin Delta got drafted here in the Supplemental Draft. However, it won’t stay that way for long if Dustin loses the Title at Backlash.”

”And how about Dustin’s wife – Rachel – being drafted to Smackdown? Dustin must’ve been disappointed.”

”Yeah I spoke to Dustin earlier tonight and he informed me that he was sad about the fact that he and his wife had to be separated, but that their relationship was as good as ever.”

Tyson Kidd theme

Tyson Kidd enters the arena. He is wearing a black leather vest that matches his black wrestling tights. He adjusts his hair – the very small amount of it – before beginning to walk to the ring. He points to Finlay, possibly trying to send some kind of message, before rolling into the ring.

”Tyson Kidd has made quite an impact on ECW along with his Tag Team Partner, D.H. Smith. Both Smith and Kidd are graduates of the Hart Family Dungeon, you know.”

”I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again—if you graduated from the Hart Dungeon, you’re going to have success inside the squared circle.”

D.H. Smith theme

The son of the legendary British Bulldog enters the arena, smiling confidently. He sports a pair of wrestling tights designed in a manner similar to the British Flag. The fans boo him as he walks to the end of the ramp. He looks at Tyson Kidd for a moment, nods, and climbs the ring steps before entering the ring.

”D.H. Smith, another impressive ECW Newcomer, made his debut alongside Tyson Kidd as a part of ECW General Manager Theodore Long’s New Talent Initiative.”

”Both of these guys have been extremely – no pun intended – awesome inside the ring. They have chemistry as a Tag Team, and that’s something that you need in order to be a successful Tag Team here in the WWE.”

”Yeah, but tonight in this Triple Threat Match, it’s every man for himself. One’s gotta wonder if this match will have an effect on their Tag Team.”

”I doubt it. Both of these guys are skilled athletes, and I don’t think they’ll let a victory in a match like this affect their Team.”

”Let’s not forget about Finlay. There’s a good chance that The Fighting Irishman could leave here tonight with a victory. One could say that Finlay deserves it, though. Finlay was scheduled to face Striker Boyd at No Way Out for the United States Title, but Finlay was found unconscious in the back and the match was ended in a no contest.”

”But let’s be fair, Cole. Finlay did get a rematch against Striker Boyd, and he lost that match. What is weird to me, though, is that Smackdown superstar Ted DiBiase was found unconscious in the back on ECW a couple of weeks ago before his Second Round Qualifying Match against Tyson Kidd. We have no idea who was responsible for either attack, to be honest.”

Second Match: Finlay vs. Tyson Kidd vs. D.H. Smith [Triple Threat Match] [u.S. Title Tournament Final Match]

Match: Smith and Kidd look at each other as they stand opposite Finlay, making a triangle of sorts. They exchange some words before both of them nod. They both run toward Finlay in an attempt to hit him with a Double Clothesline, but ultimately fail as The Fighting Irishman ducks the move and turns around to hit Kidd with a Right Hand. Smith grabs Finlay’s head and rams it against the turnbuckle pad before hitting Finlay with some Knife-Edge Chops. Finlay’s son watches on from outside the ring, cheering for his father. Smith hits Finlay right in the face with an elbow and tries to Irish Whip him to the opposite corner, but Finlay holds his ground and reverses the Irish Whip, sending Smith to the opposite corner instead. Finlay goes for a Corner Clothesline but is stopped mid-path by a Spinning Heel Kick from Tyson Kidd that could be heard throughout the arena.

”Wow! Did you hear that?! Imagine what that must of felt like for Finlay!”

”Finlay definitely wasn’t expecting that. He thought he had taken Tyson Kidd down for the most part.”

”When you think about it, it’s really a two-on-one match right now. Finlay has to worry about D.H. Smith and Tyson Kidd. The two will probably try to eliminate Finlay from the equation and then fight things out amongst themselves.”

”That would be the smart thing to do.”

Kidd hooks the legs…1! 2! Finlay wills himself to kick-out. Finlay starts to sit up but Kidd blasts him with a Right Hand and tries for the cover again, hoping to get the victory! 1! 2! Thr—D.H. Smith breaks it up! Kidd looks at his partner with confusion and Smith responds by pushing him into the ropes. Kidd rebounds with a Forearm Smash, taking his Tag Team Partner down.

”Uh-oh! It looks like the teamwork has come to an end, King! Tyson Kidd had the victory – or so it seemed – but D.H. Smith broke up the pin!”

”I can’t blame D.H. Smith for not wanting to lose the match, and I’m sure that these two understand that this match is every man for himself.”

Kidd begins to stomp his Tag Team Partner, and follows it up with a Standing Elbow Drop. Kidd tries a cover but this time it’s Finlay that breaks up the pin. The crowd cheers as The Fighting Irishman nails Kidd with a barrage of Right Hands. Finlay connects with a Scoop Slam before bouncing off the ropes and landing a Sitting Splash right on Kidd’s chest! Finlay tries for a cover! 1! 2! Kick-out! D.H. Smith picks Finlay up and tries to Suplex him. Finlay counters the move into a Suplex of his own, Suplexing Smith right onto Tyson Kidd! The crowd cheers as Finlay hooks Kidd’s legs! 1! 2! Kidd rolls the shoulder up! “Finlay” chants begin to fill the arena. Finlay gets to his feet and D.H. Smith hits him with a European Uppercut. Smith kicks Finlay in the chest and hits him with some blows to the back. He and Kidd – who gets to his feet – get back on the same page as he holds Finlay’s arms behind his back and Kidd hits The Fighting Irishman with some kicks to the chest. Finlay falls to his knees and Smith picks him back up before hitting a Full Nelson Slam. Smith tries the cover! 1! 2! Kidd pulls Smith off of Finlay and tries the cover! 1! 2! Smith Clotheslines Kidd in the back of the head, breaking up the pinfall. The two begin to exchange blows and the crowd cheers. Kidd drives Smith into the corner and begins to attack him with kicks and punches. The Referee moves Kidd away from Smith, and Kidd begins to yell at him. Hornswoggle slides the Shillelagh to Finlay, who ducks a Clothesline from Smith and blasts Smith in the head with it while the Referee is distracted! Kidd hits a Roundhouse Kick on Finlay and sends him out of the ring. The crowd boos as Kidd drags his Tag Team Partner to the center of the ring and hits him with a Springboard Elbow! Hook of the legs by Kidd! Will this do it?! 1! 2! 3! Yes! Tyson Kidd wins it!

Winner: Tyson Kidd

”It’s over! Tyson Kidd just pinned his own Tag Team Partner!”

”Finlay hit D.H. Smith with that Shillelagh, and Kidd blasted

Finlay with a Roundhouse Kick. That was lights out for Finlay, but lights out for Smith would come moments later when his Tag Team Partner, Tyson Kidd, hit him with a Springboard Elbow!”

”What does this mean for their Tag Team?”

”Who knows, Cole? I hope it doesn’t damage the Team!”

Kidd walks to the top of the ramp and taunts while D.H. Smith and Finlay watch on from inside and outside (respectively) the ring.

Commercial break

Tomorrow night on ECW...last week, a mysterious video was shown on the TitanTron as ECW came to a close. What is there to make of this? And with the video mentioning “2 Weeks”, is this the final week before something big happens in ECW? Plus, in a jam-packed Main Event, Ezekiel Jackson makes his ECW Debut against the legendary Undertaker! ECW! Live at 9 PM! Only on Sci-Fi!

Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP) theme

As we return live, Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP) is standing in the ring. He is decked out in a black “jumpsuit”. He bounces off the ropes to warm up for his match as the fans cheer for him.

”Welcome back to the Longest Running Episonic Television Show in history! Montel Vontavious Porter, MVP, was the longest reigning United States Champion in the Title’s History, and we know that he would like nothing more than to get that Championship back.”

”MVP issued a challenge to the winner of the match at Backlash, and we’re going to see if he follows up on that challenge next Monday Night on Raw.”

MVP and the fans watch on as Boyd’s music plays throughout the arena. MVP stretches against the ropes, continuing to warm up.

”Well, where is he?”

”Striker Boyd is supposed to be facing MVP, but I don’t see…”

”Hey wait a minute!”

MVP turns around and Striker Boyd thrashes him with the Strikeout. It becomes apparent that Boyd came to the ring through the crowd. He picks up MVP and the crowd begins to give him massive heat. He yells something that isn’t easy to understand before kicking MVP in the chest. He bounces off the ropes and blasts MVP with another Strikeout. A disgusted look forms on his face as he stares as his fallen opponent. Boyd gets a microphone.

“MVP, I don’t know who the h*ll you think you are, but you don’t deserve a d*mn Title Match. I was screwed out of the United States Title, and I plan on getting it back as soon as possible. No one, not the slithering slime balls that make up this crowd...” Huge heat from the crowd. “…or any of the losers in the back. I am Striker Boyd, and I demand respect.” Boyd throws the microphone on the ground and exits to the back as the crowd boos him. MVP lays lifeless in the ring after taking two Strikeouts.

”I…I don’t know what to say. That vicious assault we just witnessed may not have been just, but it certainly sent a message. Whoever wins the U.S. Title at Backlash better watch out for Striker Boyd.”

”Man…Striker Boyd has completely changed since coming to Raw. The man continues to get more and more vicious, but the thing is, he’s never been pinned since making his debut, and he’s only lost two matches in other manners. Like him or hate him, the guy’s a great athlete.”

”Well, coming up next, the 10-Man Tri-Branded Battle Royal!”

John Morrison theme

We return live as John Morrison joins eight other superstars inside the ring. He takes off his fur coat and hangs it on the ring post before turning his attention toward the TitanTron.

The crowd goes absolutely nuts as Goldberg enters the arena. He emerges on the stage and is surrounded by his pyro. He roars – showing his strength and the fact that the pyro is not affecting him – before making his way to the ring.

”This man has put the entire Raw Locker Room on notice. He didn’t actually say it, but he doesn’t need to. Goldberg is quite possibly the strongest superstar in the history of wrestling.”

”In WCW he was a force to be reckoned with, and he’s just as much – if not more – of one now.”

Third Match: [align=right]Battle Royal [10-Man]

Raw

John Morrison

R Truth

Goldberg

Matt Hardy

Mond Black

ECW

Ezekiel Jackson

Zack Ryder

Big Show

Smackdown

Randy Orton

Vladimir Kozlov

Match: All ten competitors stand in the ring. They stare at each other, all looking for the best moment to strike. Matt Hardy makes the first move and runs toward Orton. The crowd pops as Raw’s newest acquisition hammers away at The Legend Killer with a barrage of punches. Zack Ryder pulls Hardy off of Orton and hits him with a Jumping Hook Kick.

Mond Black goes for a Clothesline on R Truth, but Truth ducks it and hits an Armbar. Black gets to his feet quickly and Truth takes him down with a 360 Clothesline. The fans begin to cheer in excitement. Black starts to get up once again, pulling himself to one knee. Truth bounces off the ropes and goes for an Axe Kick! SLAM! Goldberg blasts Truth with a Spear out nowhere!

”Oh my God! Goldberg nearly broke R Truth in half!”

”Welcome to Raw R Truth!”

Inevitably, Goldberg picks up R Truth and throws him over the top rope and out of the ring. Zack Ryder Clothesline Goldberg in the back of the head, sending him into the ropes. Ryder tries to get Goldberg over the ropes, but Goldberg elbows him in the chest. Ryder, dazed, turns around and Matt Hardy gets a measure of retribution with a Side Effect. Matt – as the crowd cheers – sizes Ryder up for a Twist of Fate, but Randy Orton turns Matt around, grabs the back of his head, and throws him over the top rope, eliminating him to major heat. Orton taunts, not caring about the crowd. Goldberg grabs Ryder’s arm and practically rips it out of the socket as he pulls Ryder to his feet and drops the young ECW superstar with a Jackhammer. “Gold-berg” chants fill the arena as Goldberg comes face-to-face – for the first time ever – with Ezekiel Jackson.

”Oh my! These two powerhouses are gonna go at it!”

”There’s enough power between these two to blow the roof off of the arena!”

Mond Black Irish Whips John Morrison into the corner. Black goes for a Corner Clothesline, but Morrison dodges it. Morrison off the ropes! Springboard Kick right to the head of Mond Black! Morrison quickly eliminates Mond Black, bringing the in-ring count to seven. “Orton sucks” chants begin to fill the arena as Randy Orton hits John Morrison with a European Uppercut. Orton kicks Morrison in the chest and begins blasting him with blows to the back. Orton backs up for a moment before driving his knee into Morrison’s temple. Orton tries to eliminate Morrison, but wait--! Big Show from behind eliminating both Orton and Morrison! Orton looks bewildered as he realizes what happened.

”Randy Orton’s been eliminated thanks to the Big Show!”

”Orton can’t believe! He doesn’t look pleased to say the least!”

We’re down to five. Those five being Zack Ryder, Vladimir Kozlov, Goldberg, Ezekiel Jackson, and Big Show. Basically, four giants and a greatly-weakened light heavyweight. After nearly a minute of staring each other down, Goldberg and Ezekiel Jackson begin to fight. Goldberg goes for a Right Hand, but Jackson ducks it. Jackson tries a Right Hand of his own, but Goldberg ducks that. Goldberg connects with a Left Hand to the face, followed by a Spear into the corner. Goldberg hits some Martial Arts-Style Punches on Jackson. Big Show nails a running Kozlov with a Big Boot. Big Show picks Kozlov up and tries to eliminate him, but Kozlov resists. Out of nowhere, Zack Ryder comes up and lifts Big Show’s legs up, sending Big Show and Kozlov out of the ring, and leaving us with three.

”What?! You gotta be kidding me!”

”Zack Ryder just eliminated the Big Show and Vladimir Kozlov!”

”I’m putting my money on Goldberg, King. It’s been a long time since Goldberg’s been here on Raw, and I’m sure he like nothing more than a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship!”

Goldberg tries to Irish Whip Jackson, but Jackson reverses it. He Irish Whips Goldberg into the opposite corner. Jackson goes for a Corner Clothesline, but Goldberg bursts out of the corner and hits Jackson with a devastating Spear. More “Gold-berg” chants begin to fill the arena as Zack Ryder sits in the corner. Goldberg hits Ezekiel Jackson with a devastating Jackhammer. Goldberg quickly eliminates Jackson.

”We’re down to two—Goldberg and Zack Ryder.”

”No disrespect to Zack Ryder, but I don’t think there’s any chance of him winning this match.”

Goldberg walks toward Ryder, who continues to walk away from his opponent, trying to keep himself from being eliminated. Ryder runs toward Goldberg to Clothesline him, but gets hit with a Spear. Goldberg grabs Ryder and tries to eliminate him, but throws him through the second rope instead of over the top rope. An angry Ezekiel Jackson re-enters the ring and throws Goldberg over the top rope, eliminating him. Goldberg, furious, gets to his feet and a look of confusion appears on his face.

”King, I don’t think Goldberg realizes that he didn’t eliminate Zack Ryder!”

”Wait, does this mean Zack Ryder is the winner?”

Zack Ryder rolls himself back into the ring and the bell sounds.

Maikeru actually wrote the Main Event like a couple of days ago, and I wrote Smackdown before I read the match, because I planned on having it take place on Raw.

I didn't realize that he had used the Double F-U to finish the match, but it's cool that it ended up working out.
